Excellent Italian restaurant with a long tradition in the heart of Park Slope in Brooklyn. The dishes are very tasty, the portions are generous and the prices are very reasonable. All the details are accompanied by a small salad and bread. The service is fantastic. Absolutely recommended.

Very friendly staff. Lovely location with a back yard. Enjoyed the pizza. $2.75 for a cheese slice, and you can add toppings. I added two and it came to 4.25 total. I really enjoyed it!

They care for their customers, believe me. I called and the problem I had, was instantly taken care of by a sweet lady. The food was delicious and prepared with love. Thank you sweet lady for understanding and so kind.

Very wonderful staff. Came in after physical therapy and had a delicious buffalo chicken roll in a peaceful environment. Would definitely return here and encourage all to come check it out! Super affordable prices as well.

I have been coming to Pizza Plus for years, even thought I don't live in Park Slope anymore. Not only has Rosalind watched so many families and children grow up eating there, she greets you with kindness and compassion the moment you walk in the door. The prices at Pizza Plus are perfect (considering the overpriced restaurants nearby), and their food is very good and consistent. Every salad on the menu is excellent, and their homemade dressing is awesome!! My daughter loves to watch them make pizza. The pizza is delicious!! I also must have extra rolls with every delivery. Erica is very nice and Melissa is super sweet too. All of the staff are great. The outdoor patio is very cozy during the warmer months. This is a must for families living nearby and I always recommend it to people who are visiting the area.

First time trying. Some ppl raved. Not so much. Actually bland taste even with pepperoni. No cheese on 3 slices.

My first bite was a bite of disappointment. I went here even though I've never noticed that this pizzeria even existed in the neighborhood despite living here many decades. When did they open? No idea. I went specifically because one of the reviews mentioned the buffalo chicken roll. Buffalo chicken roll - no spice, no flavor, no "buffalo" sauce. They charge an extra dollar to get a buffalo chicken roll ($11) instead of a standard marinara/cheese chicken roll ($10) and there was no sauce/flavor. You can smell the vinegar but can't taste anything. Not worth it. The actual dough of the roll was soft and doughy (undercooked), no crispness at all. Their chocolate mousse is not made in house but is not bad. Light chocolate on the bottom half, white chocolate on the top half with a little chocolate on the top. The chocolate flavor is very light. It's much better than their chicken roll. They don't sell garlic knots or have any food on display so you don't really know what you're getting until you order. Slices are only available until 5p. I didn't see any rating outside to determine cleanliness but it seemed clean inside. I would not recommend this place. The taste was not good. The price was not good. (Other neighborhood pizzerias close by have chicken rolls for $7-8 that are actually delicious). That's a nope from me.

Good but expensive! Vodka pizza is to die for as are the custom rolls customers can make. The one down fall to this place is no matter how much you specify to add sauce inside their chicken rolls they just refuse to do so. Unsure why this is the case‍. Despite this drawback I keep ordering at least 1 every other week!

Ordered Friday night at 7 PM. Pizza did not come until 820. It was hard like a piece of cardboard and cold. Figure in this day and age they could get you pizza in like a half hour? I'm three blocks away .pizzeria nowadays. Make the excuse that they don't deliver. It's a service so it's delivery problem not a pizza problem. I don't agree with that!! Friday night you should be able to get a hot pizza to a customer in a reasonable amount of time.

Roz, the owner, is fantastic and makes coming here such a joy. Pizza plus is your basic neighborhood pizza joint with above average pizza and solid pasta and salad dishes. You shouldn't expect less or more. PP isn't fine dining and that's why it works so well. It provides families with solid food at a great price. A night out doesn't break the budget so it will forever be in my weekly rotation. And it has one of the better backyard spaces in the area. The stars are based on the overall experience plus the quality of the food at that price point.

When a recent, previous review mentioned I was eager to try other items on the menu in the future, I didn't realize that the future would be 24 hours later!! Again, in the Park Slope area we were craving a hearty meal and decided to return to Pizza Plus for something other than pizza. First off, since it was a Friday evening, this place was hopping and active specifically with preparations for deliveries (many pizza pies going out for delivery). The people were super friendly and I gathered that the owners and some family members were working behind the counter to make it all happen on this given, busy evening. Pasta was on our mind. Note, all entrees are served with side salads and a basket of the most decadent rolls. Not just any rolls--these warm rolls were the actual pizza dough. Oh my word. Second note, do not step on any scales after such a meal. I decided to go with the veggie lasagna while the other entrée was tortellini with pesto sauce. I really enjoyed the generous salad whereupon the lettuce was crisp and fresh (not yellow and wilted as in some of my experiences at other restaurants ). Coupled with the rolls, the salad nearly felt like a meal in itself. It was a side salad but a generous portion. When my veggie lasagna arrived, it was deeeelicious. Served piping hot topped with a nice red sauce (almost pizza like) and layers of ricotta, spinach and mushrooms. So good and very hearty on a chilly night like this. I also tasted the tortellini and thought it was really good (although I was happy to have chosen the veggie lasagna). There's so much on their menu to choose from and it's such a welcoming restaurant to dine at. Even though there's not much atmosphere, the service and especially the food merits this rating. Prices are very reasonable. Do try if in the area!

Placed an order for pick up and it took over an hour for two pies. How long does it take to make a pizza??? The pizza is good but not worth the aggravation. There are plenty of good pizza options in the area.

Great find on Yelp! Walking distance to Methodist Hospital. Pizza & Restaurant with tons of options to choice from. They start you off with a nice salad with their homemade Italian cream dressing which was delicious & fresh hot rolls. We had grilled chicken which was definitely delicious a little less cooked it would've been perfect. Best seasoned & fresh broccoli. Fettuccine Carbonara with amazing. I would definitely recommend this place & we will be back soon. They do have outdoor seating if your interested!

One of the best pizza slices Brooklyn has to offer. I ate 5 slices that's how good it is. The sauce is on point. The crust is like an awesome homemade crispy bread. The cheese is perfect. This is what new New York pizza is all about. I love it. Love it love it. I would drive from Staten Island to get this pizza any time.

Girly traditional Italian and surely more than a slice shop. Would recommend their lunch special for the homemade rolls to pair with your pasta. Highly recommend. Also good customer service.

Pizza Plus is one of those places I've walked by dozens of times, but because of the way the store front is set up I was never quite sure if they were open. One day I wanted to try a nice pizza place in the area and this came up in my Yelp search (I was literally in a coffee shop on the same block). Pizza Plus is actually a charming mixture of a classic Brooklyn pizza joint and a sit down restaurant. When you walk in there is a long counter with a glass case with pizzas in it (individual slices are available until 5PM). The other side is seating and the rest room is in the back. It looks like the restaurant was renovated recently as the colors and lighting were contemporary looking. The restaurant had a very pleasant atmosphere. I wound up ordering the Bianca Pizza on whole wheat dough and it was *fantastic*. Honestly, most of the time I get whole wheat pizza the crust winds up on two ends of a spectrum. It is either way too chewy (to the point where the dough has trouble breaking/tearing) or it is so dry it's like eating a dry cracker. This is the first time I have ever had a whole wheat pizza where the dough was the *perfect* consistency! I was very happy about this. Even better the combination of cheeses, herbs and oils was absolutely delicious. No ingredient overwhelmed the other. Everything balanced out. The crust had a great balance of chewiness and crispiness. I also ordered a side of broccoli rabe cooked with garlic and it was tasty and well done. Service here was friendly and attentive. The staff really wants to make sure you're taken care of and I heard them answering questions other customers had about the menu in a very friendly manner. Overall, I was super happy with my experience and will definitely go back!

I had a very good mushroom slice from this restaurant . My pizza was not greasy , had a nice chew and the crust was excellent . The sauce was abit scarce but the underlying flavor was definitely there . You can tell the quality is a notch above the norm. Pricing is also pretty good especially for the quality so I'd definitely recommend .

Years ago I ate here when they first opened. At the time, I found the pizza to be. bland and rubbery. Like biting into cardboard. No flavor. A few days ago, my daughter ordered a pizza from here. I had forgotten the name of the place or else I would have vetoed her choice. I Bit into a slice and... nothing had improved. Crust is bland and not quite crunchy not quite chewy. The sauce and cheese are so tasteless that I started to wonder if I had COVID. They say that you lose your sense of taste and smell if you are infected. But no... I did not have covid. This pizza is just insipid. How are these place still open??

Didn't taste authentic at all! Frozen ravioli weren't boiled enough, still had frozen after taste. Sauce tasted like it was out of a jar. Bread was cold. Service was great though.

When I first came across Pizza Plus, I didn't think it was a legit pizza joint because clearly it did not belong to Joe, Ray or Luigi... But how wrong I was - their pizza is among the very best I have had in New York, and I'm a lifelong New Yorker! I've now been ordering from there for years now and get the same thing almost every time I order--a large cheese pizza, plain. Their consistency is remarkable. The is always just slightly well-done, the cheese and tomato sauce always tastes fresh, and the crust is so flavorful it could practically stand on its own. (Their BBQ chicken pizza is also pretty darn good, but the very sweet BBQ sauce wears out its welcome after a couple of slices.) Randomly, I also always-ALWAYS-order the tiramisu, because it's my weakness. And let me tell you... it's THE best tiramisu I think I've ever had. I can't end the review without praising their delivery. The pizza always arrives hot and a few minutes ahead of schedule. Gotta love that!

Was craving pizza so stop at this area for pizza and calamari. Pizza was hot and fresh and delicious. Calamari needed to be fry more was very dry. Overall staff was very friendly and welcoming

It pains me to give this place a poor review because the owners and staff are so nice and the restaurant itself was unpretentious. But I have to be truthful. Prior to this visit I had only picked up a slice during the day, and it was pretty good. So, I finally decided to come over for dinner. I ordered a basic, simple pasta dish that I make at home - linguine and broccoli. The pasta and the broccoli were pretty much tasteless. Part of the problem I think was that the broccoli was significantly under cooked, so it did not absorb any flavors. The dish was dry, not enough sauce. When I make pasta and broccoli I cook the pasta al dente, then put it in the skillet with the already sauteed garlic and the blanched broccoli, and then add some pasta water and finish cooking the pasta for another minute or two. This is a basic cooking technique, and it was evident that this was not done. Also, the minced garlic clearly was out of a jar. But worst of all was the bread. We were brought rolls in which the inside had the taste and texture of raw dough. This is an Italian restaurant - cut up some Italian bread! Maybe I expected too much from what essentially was a pizza joint. Maybe they do pizza better.

I've been here a couple of times the past two years. I've also had their food from a catered event before as well. The service has always been friendly and very accommodating. You can just order food to go or sit down and have waiter service. Their portions are pretty big for the price! I've never paid $8~ for a spinach roll before but this was HUGE. Wish I took a picture. My friends love their sandwiches and salads as well. Their hot food from the catered trays were good as well. Enjoyed the penne all's vodka and chicken parm very much.

I ordered my food and waited over an hour and a half for my food to get delivered! I had to call the pizzeria two times to get them to even call the delivery guy, the guy that answered the phone to the pizzeria was rushing me off the phone. I can't believe he didn't even apologize for the amount of time I was waiting for my food. Even the delivery guy didn't apologize! My food was cold nothing was taken off of the bill for my inconvenience, I will order somewhere that's farther just not to order here again! I've ordered here before and never have had this experience before. You would think with businesses struggling due to Covid they would make sure they have amazing customer service so that we would want to spend money there again.

Food is always good. Vegan pizza is the draw for my daughter who has food allergies. Nice to have a pizza restaurant that can accommodate her.

Came here during lunch and decided to try their lunch special. They have pasta options that come with bread and a soda. I opted for the linguine with white clams and a pepsi for $7.50. The complimentary bread came with a side of butter, but it was pretty cold when I got it. The pasta took a little longer than expected to prepare, but at least you can assume it was made upon placing the order, and not just being reheated. The linguine was alright. It could use it bit more salt, but I bit into shells in my pasta several times. Pretty good deal for the price in the area.

I am really loving Pizza Plus !!! While perusing the restaurant pages one day we came across pizza plus and discovered they make vegan pizza so we jumped at the chance to try it. I bought 2 personal pizzas one regular cheese and one vegan made with vegan Daiya cheese. We had to wait about an hour and started to become anxious waiting- but WOW! worth the wait! Pizza Plus is my families go to spot for delicious, fresh tasting, great sauce - old school pizza!!! Crispy, cheesy, baked to perfection!!! I absolutely recommend "Pizza Plus" located in Park Slope Brooklyn to vegan, and cheese lovers alike! Fantastic!!! Try it you'll like it! R.O.

more 3.5 stars. very clean pizza place. more of a sit down joint which is a little refreshing. it looks like slices are only served until 5PM. came here after it started raining during the Jason Mraz concert at the bandshell. Shared a small pie and an order or calamari. calamari seemed light and fresh. pizza is good enough. it is crisp but seems a little too uniform and there's a sweetness that I'm not a big fan of. sauce is just ok and again, this isn't my idea of artisan pizza, but others may disagree with me. just my two cents. nothing remarkable. so go here if you are in the nabe and just want to enjoy a nice neighborhood eatery.

The best gluten-free pizza I've ever had! Having celiacs is hard, enjoying Pizza Plus pizza isn't! I ordered a quite large gf pie and it tasted like pizza...not gluten-free pizza but real pizza. Not much to say about the service since it was a to-go order but everything was ready and everyone was kind. A short walk from Prospect Park, this made for a wonderful picnic companion. If I could pocket this pizzeria and bring it everywhere with me, I would.

Oh vegan pizza how do I love theeee!!! So it's so HARD to find vegan pizza and making it at home isn't quite the same! This pizza was cheesy gooey toasted crusty heaven! I added fresh cut tomatoes to it to seal the deal. (I wish they were sliced thin like on a margarita pizza and not cubed) but still fresh and tasty though. Con is... They ONLY serve VEGAN pizza as a 12 or 18 inch PIE! BUT the PRO is.... That's $11.50 for 6 slices (not bad considering that some places charge $5 for ONE SLICE of vegan pizza) The 11 inch is $11.50 The 18 inch is $18 Toppings are an additional $2 for small or $3 for large pie and special toppings are $3 for small and $4 for large pies Basically this can get expensive quickly! BUTTTT when you let good be thy medicine and medicine be thy food it's a small pittance

Being lactose intolerant, it is hard to find delicious, juicy vegan pizza. Until I discovered Pizza Plus that is. Their pizza is phenomenal. It may take some time to prepare, but it is worth every second of my time. I recommend this spot to anyone and everyone!!

My husband and I dropped by on a weekday after seeing their lunch specials posted outside. The Fettucine Alfredo with Shrimp was really good. The shrimp was fresh and meaty. It was even sort of Lobster-like tasting. We also ordered the Broccoli Rabe which was tasty sauteed with garlic and oil. Would definitely drop by for lunch again.

OMG do try the turkey diet hero. I added onions to mine. Fantastic!!!!! You won't be disappointed.

Amazed at the positive reviews here. The women that work here were obnoxious. The prices imo are a tad overpriced. The pluses: 1. Bathroom was clean 2. On a scale of 1-10 for taste (with 10 being the highest), this is a 7. Good but not amazing in a city that is known for having great pizza. Other negatives: Bathroom although clean, did not have the paper shield thing. It baffles me why NY doesn't seem to have these at many establishments. No credit cards if something is under $10.

So, I took my daughter to Pizza Plus today, we usually get delivery, but decided to eat in today...Nice place to eat, pizza is excellent! We got mozzarella sticks , which were yummy, and the baked ziti which was tasty as well..Staff are all friendly..Definitely recommend!!

My favorite restaurant in Brooklyn since childhood. I literally could sit and eat like 25 of their buffalo wings (ordered with the sauce on the side, so they're even MORE crunchy!) without taking a breath. I've been hoarding little takeout containers of the buffalo sauce in my refrigerator every time I order from them. The dinner rolls are to die for, and the Margherita pizza is a family favorite at my house. I grew up coming here with my grandmother for their linguini with white clam sauce, and my current favorite pasta dish is the linguini and broccoli with garlic and oil. It's so good you don't even need to add a protein to it. I'll take some pictures the next time I go (which will definitely be soon) though the food doesn't last long on the table. Also, cute little trivia cards on the tables! A+ for Pizza Plus.

The best chicken Parmesan I've ever tasted the pizza is great especially their sausage and pepper pizza that's their specialty and meatballs are out of this world the service is phenomenal the owners a gentleman they treat you like family me and my family come here at least three times a month ever since the pandemic we've been just ordering from them trying to support a local place

My family ordered two pizza pies one regular one they call a white pie and a bowl of soup. We waited over an hour and a half for the delivery. Needless to say the pies and soup was cold,and for the price we paid for the food we were deeply disappointed. I think my family will choose a different pizza parlor the next time we crave pizza !!!

Pizza plus has fantastic pizza & is in a great location! I love grabbing a couple of slices on my way home from the subway. Prices recently went up a tiny bit, but they're still a great deal. The eggplant parm hero is easily a meal for two, it's hefty & delish! Great service, and an absolutely amazing staff. Everyone there is always happy to see you & extremely polite.

Lets start by saying the pizza is good no complaints. My issue.... I ordered a pizza delivery and within 10 minutes it was at my door. I thought wow that was quick and then I opened the box, and there was the disappointment. A warm pie at best, probably meant for someone else who didn't show up and now sitting on my kitchen table. Not what i was expecting and very disappointing Bad business practice. The moral of the story. The counter person saved a pie today and lost a customer forever.

I am a very picky Italian food eater. I LOVE their pastas! The pizza is good, too. Not the best in the area but definitely worth trying. Really solid pasta and chicken dishes though. Chicken quality is high.

This place gets a lot of traffic and also the delivery guy was very busy. That must mean the food is pretty good. After working a NPR volunteer gig at Prospect Park Bandshell, I was famished. I looked on my Yelp app and found that this place serves vegan pizza. Sweet. I walked in close to 9pm on a weeknight and the place is full. Bummer, they don't sell pizza by the slice at night. I guess that makes the place a bit classier. I ordered a small vegan pizza and sat at a counter space. It was cool that they had tons of magazines to read and even some random Trivial Pursuit cards to read through. After 15 minutes, my vegan cheese pizza was ready. I was pretty hungry so I just sat at the counter space and greedily devoured 2 slices. Yum, good. Me happy now. Very good vegan pizza and with daiya cheese of course. I really like daiya cheese, has a nice tapioca kick to it. And for $9, it was a good bargain. I also have many slices for the next day also! Counter help and owner were extremely nice and friendly. I will definitely come back to have more vegan pizza and just chill and hang out. I like the vibe here and it is family friendly.

I live near and have walked by many times, assuming it was a sit down, whole-pie place. But they started putting out a sign offering slices during the days. Cool. It is a sit down place (though very casual), so when you order a slice, you don't do so visually, but off the menu. And they are very friendly, making you feel at home. I'm just not sold on the result. It seems they took a cheese slice and added my selected toppings. That's not too odd, except that my veggie toppings were raw. They were piled on (see photo), which was cool, but also uncooked and therefore not exactly part of a cooked dish. While I appreciate the generosity of product, I would have liked them melding together. Another star if they can fix this.

Stop two in my search for a decent slice in Park Slope. But alas, another pizza "restaurant". I'm not getting a slice unless I buy a whole dang pie. Instead I ordered the Baked Ziti with Meat Sauce. Does no one season food in the kitchen anymore? I dislike adding salt to my dishes, but in this case I had to or else I wouldn't have been able to finish it. Once I dumped a high blood pressure inducing amount of salt on it, it was just okay. The rolls were surprisingly dense but quite tasty. And the carrot cake! Delicious and HUGE. Definitely a dessert to share.

There is a very nice, slightly older woman here who wears large glasses. If she is working behind the counter, she will make sure your experience is very pleasant. If she is not here, however, your experience will suffer. Pick up orders get sent out for delivery, delivery orders go to the wrong address, and the guys behind the counter take out their frustration on the customers - if something goes wrong, it's obviously the customer's fault. So, do yourself a favor. Before going in, take a look through the window to be sure the nice woman with glasses is there. If she's not there, go somewhere else.

My uncle was the one who first told me about this place. Being from Belgium, he speaks with quite a thick French accent. After about 15 minutes of wandering around Brooklyn asking passer-bys if they knew where Pissapolis was, someone finally asked, giving me a hint of the crazy eye, do you mean "PIZZA PLUS???" Anyway, I found Pizza Plus and it was worth aimlessly wandering the streets for. Every time someone would come to visit me, I would take them there. They sell $2 by the slice until 5, and also have free delivery, which was convenient for me since it got to be kind of embarrassing going there as much as I did! p.s. Try the carrot cake!!!

When you're a vegan and craving no-fuss pizza, this is an excellent place to come. The sauce is light and fresh, and they are generous with the cheese.

I like PIzza Plus. My wife and I have eaten at the restaurant many times and have enjoyed their food and the service. My issue is with their timing on pick up orders. It's never what they tell you on the phone. Tonight I was told my order would be ready in 25 minutes. My wife and I got there in 25 minutes and had to wait an additional 35 minutes. Yes, they were very busy, but shouldn't they have factored that in when they provided an ETA? In addition, no apology was offered - just a have a good night.

Do NOT ask for meat on half to accommodate your vegetarian partner, it upsets the owner, might just be the pizza man but is a total d-bag! Not surprising place was empty on a Friday night with him in charge. A block away the cheap ass joint was jumping and has no problem with special order. NEVER AGAIN!
