The pizza is legit. A bit on the high end of the price range but with quality to match. Sturdy crust and good amount of toppings. The lasagna slice is cool. Two slices kept me full for a long time. Recommend it

My favorite pizza joint in NYC, so that's really saying something. The stuffed meat slice is over-the-top, it's pretty much WHY I come here. The staff is attentive and the tables and bathroom are clean. You can't ask for much more.

Passed this pizza shop on the way to eat dinner somewhere else. Ended up coming back to try it. We ordered 2 regular slices and a margarita came to $13.50. I can't say enough how delicious this pizza was. I have tried many pizzas and this was definitely one of the great ones. The crust to cheese ratio is perfect. The crust has a great crisp to it and the sauce wasn't so sweet, the cheese had a slight pull. It's that kind of pull that slaps the bottom of your chin. Also not salty. It was worth the drive into Brooklyn. I am going to definitely return to eat here again. Seating area is big and open. Bathroom was clean, I can appreciate that you need a key and it's for customer's only. Keeps it tighty. Staff is very welcoming. Thank you pizzatown for making my belly happy tonight.

Found this spot while at a dentist near by. It was me and 4 kids. We got plain slice, grandma , white pizza and a chicken cutlet. All delicious. An order of garlic knots. And we saw the guys putting away zeppoles so we ordered some of those , we won't get those again they were kinda dry . Not like when you buy them at street fairs. Place is pretty big, clean. Will come again. The only thing is I think I was over charged. He told me one price and when i saw my bank account it was off by like $2. No big deal but still

Gave boardwalk pizza vibes, but did not taste like it at all. The pizza was actually very good and a great place to stop at after the bars. Very spacious inside with a lot of indoor seating. Service was just okay, not the friendliest. The Margherita slice did hit the spot though. Their menu was pretty large and I saw people eating all sorts of different things. I'd recommend if you are in the area and need a late night slice!

For cheap pizza I think it hits the mark. It's also clean and well lit. While not the greatest pizza of all time, I think it makes the grade relative to the price. In fact, I've had fancy schmancy pizza in NYC that tastes like pita from a microwave.... This is $2.00 - $4.00 and definitely pizza. Would repeat.

Unfortunately there are much better pizza places nearby. The cashier was friendly. The restaurant isn't really a place to sit down.

If you're gonna go to Funkytown then better off stopping at Pizzatown for lunch first! Have eaten here a few times with friends when out and about in the area. Tasty pizza, garlic knots, chicken & spinach rolls, and pasta plates. Good stuff here and have never had a bad meal. Served up hot and fresh with decent prices.

Pretty good pizza here. I have been here on many occasions, but today as I was doing some back to school shopping I decided to grab a pie and dine outdoors. The staff was very nice, as we were unsure what to get and made several changes to our order. They have a very large seating area in front of the store. A whole pie, two beers, two sodas and two waters was $30 bucks, which was more than fair. The only issue I had was, we waited outside for the pizza and the worker said he would bring to us; however, after about 15-20 minutes I went to check what was taking so long and the pizza was ready and sitting above the oven. Maybe we misunderstood each other and that's why, but it wasn't that big of a deal for me.

I love pizza and unfortunately this was not it. My boyfriend and I stopped in for a little bite and ordered a margherita slice and a grandma slice for us to share. I found both to be disappointing. It was the lack of flavor for me. On the bright side the Margherita slice was cheesy. The grandma slice was thin and crunchy. I'm guessing we must have come at a bad time given all the positive reviews. Either way, it's still a no for me.

Solid pizza spot in the area. Not necessarily the best pizza you can get in the city but really does hit the spot. Their spinach slice was fresh and rich and hit the spot. Will likely be back!

I don't like to harp on price--especially for pizza--but if we're to hold to the maxim that the price of a slice generally mirrors that of a subway ride in this city, that 3.25-plus tax-is just a bit upsetting. I'm not sure if this was a post Nets game Barclay's markup or standard here, but didn't appreciate it. Pizza itself was ok, but came out a bit lukewarm, and found it somewhat light on the sauce. I'm a big proponent of your traditional NYC slice shops, but this was a little disappointing. Perhaps it was the post game crowd that threw off the service and preparation.

The pizza here is just okay. No prices marked on slice pizza though. I used to come here because it's close to me but one day my usual 3 slices of topping pizza cost me $20 after tax instead of $15. Asked and they said "they're all different prices, but these are $6.50 each" as if it's always been that price. I'm looking to eat not get hustled. And it might be harsh but it's definitely not top-tier pizza worth the silent hike in prices. So now I've been going Gino's Pizzeria on Flatbush who has clearly listed prices with $5 topping pizza, friendly faces, and IMO much better tasting pizza (it's the sauce) made right in front of you. To Pizzatown, bye Felicia.

I give this place a 4 out of 5 due to the pepperoni being okay. I got a slice of buffalo chicken, pepperoni, and lasagna. in order from best to not the best 1. lasagna pizza 2. buffalo chicken pizza 3. pepperoni pizza The lasagna one was saucy and filling. The buffalo one needed more buffalo sauce but the chicken and the cheese were phenomenal on that one. The pepperoni is not my favorite of all time. It was an average pepperoni. Would definitely come back!

Classic pizzeria w solid slices. Fast and friendly. The only knock is how pricey even a regular slice has gotten. Couldn't believe I needed $10 for a regular and a slice of pepperoni, no drink. Otherwise, when you want a no frills slice this will do the trick.

Had lunch at Pizzatown on Wednesday afternoon. I was very impressed with the items I ordered, as they stand up next to the better slice shops I have been to in New York. Quality: Pizzatown is a slice shop that doesn't mess around. The pizza has the high quality and consistent taste you hope for. I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Slice, which was drizzled in blue cheese. It was very good, with solid ratios, and a crust that was just a little doughy. Then I had a Square Slice, which was very cheesy, which gets no complaints from me. I also ordered a Pepperoni Roll, and I think I would recommend any of the rolls on display. A bit greasier than the slices, but extremely tasty. Quantity: Standard size slices, but they don't skimp on toppings. The Pepperoni Roll is pretty large. Value: $4 for a Square Slice. $4.50 for a Buffalo Chicken Slice. $6 for a Pepperoni Roll. Ambiance: Pizzatown is located along 5th Avenue in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn. The shop is shockingly large, with a ton of tables inside as well as a COVID structure setup out in the street. The display area is all the way at the back of the shop, where you order and wait. They also had a coffee and gelado counter, but it was not manned. Once you get your pizza you can slide into any of the open tables, which were kept pretty clean considering the customer traffic. Crowd: Busy place for Wednesday lunch. Almost every inside table was in use and multiple customers were grabbing slices to go. Service: They are ready for the lunch crowd, getting slices warmed and out quickly. Parking: Need to park along nearby residential streets.

My son's favorite pizza spot. We love on the other side of the neighborhood, but travel here for the excellent Margarita and Grandma slices. Crunchy crust with soft inside. Even layer of cheese and sauce. Sweet sauce (but not too sweet). Quick and Delizioso!

I got a slice of cheese, it' was ok not the best but not the worst and the restaurant overall was clean and lots of seating also the staff is very friendly.

This is the best kept secret pizza place! They don't deliver so probably people don't know about them but this is REAL New York pizza people! You can taste it in each component of each slice. The owner is the real deal-long time Italian brooklynite who cares for his food, his staff and for the community. Places like this is why I love Brooklyn beyond measure.

While running from Park Slope to downtown Brooklyn I needed a quick snack. Park Slope is hardly lacking in culinary choices, but when it comes to getting something portable, it has a bit less of a selection than you might expect. That's where a good old fashioned Brooklyn pizza slice comes into play. I stopped into Pizzatown after seeing it for years and never going in. For those who want a throwback to pizza joints of another era, Pizzatown is worth the visit. Long benches, big tables, a glass counter at the back with pies of all types on display and a relatively bright setting all brought back a nostalgic feeling from my younger years. The staff behind the counter was snappy. They took orders and got the slices tossed into the oven with assured efficiency. It also seemed that a couple of the customers ahead of me were regulars, and that is always a good sign at any establishment. While I waited for my slice to heat up I used the rest room, which was nice and clean. When I came back out, my slice with chicken on top was ready! I took it over to the fixings table where napkins and the usual assortment of seasonings (including garlic powder) all waited to be deployed onto my slice. I threw on a bit of everything (except salt, no need for that). And then I was off. Part of how you can judge a NYC slice is how portable it is. Folded in half on a plate, I munched as I walked, crust and all. The crust was nice and crispy on the surface and chewy inside in a satisfying way. The sauce leaned towards the sweet side but the chicken on top balanced that out. The cheese was okay but nothing to write home about. Overall, the slce held together well and it was very tasty. Pizzatown is a good neighborhood joint and well worth checking out for good, satisfying pizza.

Great slice of pizza. They had a ton of options and delivered in every way. The can of coke I got was warm and they don't mess with ice cubes so they must not be a Friday after next fan. Oh well

So sad!!!! I've been going here for a couple dozen years and even patronized the one many years ago that was in River Edge. Every time family or friends came from either another country or across this country, this was the place to go. I always bragged about the pies being perfectly made with just the right sauce to cheese and the crust nice and crispy. The way pizza is supposed be! Italian sub's were excellent with the best cold cuts and bread. The zeppolas were easier to get than waiting for the next street fair as well. Deep fried Zepp's ans calzones like no one else!!!! I guess with all the things going on and business somewhat slow I thought I'd take fifteen minute ride and grab a few pies and a half dozen Zepp's Well was I in for a surprise. While trying to decide how many of each I was going to order, I was obnoxiously greeted which caused me to take a step back. As I attempted to order, the bad attitude only got worse until I decided to say my piece and leave. Now I don't know about anyone else but I come from a school of thought that "no one! Owner or employee should transmit an attitude to"any" customer but I give a little times like these could cause people to act out unusually. That was why I took a step back until the obnoxious attitude continued which made me realize that "my money was good anywhere. Since this situation hit, I have been trying to patronize the smaller businesses with the understanding that many may never recover but this owner should have thought better before acting like a dumb ass. It's sad that after fifty plus years I have to spend my money somewhere that has more respect for the customer but I won't reward bad behavior.

I live in the neighborhood a block away from this establishment. I just ordered a slice and a Coke, for a total of 5.50, got my $4.50 change and put $2.50 in the tip bucket for the counterperson. Another person, presumably the owner, came up from behind and said "take back what you took" (from the tip bucket). I explained that I had tipped and not stolen, and asked for an apology. He ignored me. I will never step foot in this place again.

This is a slice joint, and a pretty good one. My move is usually to get a plain slice from the freshest pie they've got, or if I'm feeling crazy I might spring for a lasagna slice (always a winner). The last time, as I was waiting for my slice to heat up, I spotted a double-crusted (on top and on bottom) pizza that looked intriguing. When I asked the guy what it was, he said, "Meat Stuff." Looking back on this, I now realize that he meant "meat-stuffed," and I found out later that it's filled with ham, pepperoni, cheese, meatballs, and sauce. Which sounds delightful. But I'm happier thinking that they just call it Meat Stuff, which is provocatively vague and somewhat terrifying. However, I don't know how I feel about the wink he threw me after he said "Meat Stuff."

Stopped into Pizzatown before The Brooklyn Nets game. Ordered a regular slice with no toppings. I always want to taste the natural ingredients in the pizza. It was just ok. It looked appealing, however off to the next pizza place in Brooklyn

Pizza Town is open late and they have a ton of seating. There aren't too many slice places in the general area (unless you count Artichoke and South Brooklyn Pizza and Gino's and... okay, I guess there are a few), but Pizza Town is of the old school tradition. You know the type - tile floors, fountain soda machines, greasy tables. Basically, my childhood. Their slices are huge and loaded. The Buffalo chicken with bleu cheese is a meal in of itself. Their plain slice is standard stuff. Nothing to write home about, but it'll do in a pinch. The guy running the place is hilarious. And they take credit cards with a $10 minimum. What's not to like?

Counter staff handles money and food without gloves and wears a mask with a valve (this type does not protect others) below his nose. Pizza is OK, too much cheese IMO.

I'm always looking for a spot to grab a bite that doesn't blast music, isn't filled with noisy patrons, and has ample seating. Basically, I'm an old man in a 24 year old's body, and/or I like to actually like to be able to talk while I eat. Not like, talk with my mouth full, but you know what I mean. I've only been in one time when the seating was full, and even then I just asked if I could share a table while enjoying my slice. It's never too loud. The lighting is that kind of yellow glow that reminds me of the time before florescent bulbs really took off. It's just a classic, family feeling slice joint. It helps that the pizza is great too. Perfectly crispy crust. Quality cheese and sauce. Great ratio. I just absolutely love this place. Every time I walk by it I have to stop myself from walking in, and I fail to do even that half the time. No regrets! Except for the whole pizza gut thing. Whatever, I'm working on it. And by that I mean I'm still eating a lot of pizza. I'll check back in after I've sampled more than the thin crust. There is always a pile of zeppoli just sitting there taunting me, and one of these days I'll give in.

One of my last couple of days in NY and man this pizza joint sucked. Maybe it's because I ordered the Peperoni because it was so greasy I felt this lard in my mouth. After leaving the place I wanted to unload it all. The only thing that tasted okay were the garlic knots. That Garlic taste lasted all day long. Even gum couldn't get rid of it. My buddies sausage pizza looked pretty ugly looking. He was looking for good NY pizza but he got shafted on that one.

Let me tell you, Pizzatown was simply remarkable. Can't talk highly enough about Pizzatown. I definitely will tell all my friends to try their Buffalo Wings, it was simply unbelievable. Service was outstanding and every one working here was really nice and helpful. Pizzatown, I can not say enough great things about this gem.

Wow. Hands down the best pizza in Brooklyn.... in the boroughs!!! Thin crust, just enough sauce and cheese, hot....BLISS! I should had just bought a pie! IT WAS THAT GOOD. It is a no frills, local pizzeria. Enjoy!!

Surly, unhelpful, impatient, delicious. In short, everything I want in a New York slice. Pizza joints like this justify a trip from Toronto alone. We also had Paul McCartney tickets. That was really great too. This pizza tho. You cannot get a slice like these spots make anywhere outside of NYC and that makes me sad. If you're an out of towner like me skip any restaurants. Don't bother with them at all. No point. Just pizza. Also skip the hot dogs. They're lame as hell. In Toronto it's the opposite. Hot dogs all day, pizza is meh.

Best pizza in Park Slope & super nice guys!! I suggest the spinach & ricotta tomato. It's garlicky and delicious! They do not skimp on the toppings and the crust is perfect.

I have been to this place 4 times in 2 weeks and tried something different each time. Regular slice, beef patty, chicken and spinach roll. All have been nothing short of delicious. Their rolls are the best I've had at any pizza spot. Look forward to trying everything on display very soon.

A great treat after a busy day in New York. The sausage and mushroom regular pizza was hearty without being greasy. The pizza seemed to be a little greasier, but it was delicious and also fulfilling.

Mediocrity at its finest: my lasagna slice was stale and lukewarm. Plus a surly owner, hot and cold, grunted am unfriendly noise at me to take my order but OVERTLY friendly to the straight breeders in the establishment over my shoulder. Thank you yelp. I'll continue to call out close mindedness, xenophobia, and homophobia all over the damn place.

Settle down pizza snobs! Love the slices here and chicken roll is also delicious. Service is consistent and reliable. I only wish they delivered!

By far the best "regular pizza joint" in the neighborhood. Home made meatballs, good chicken parms, all the slices are good but I especially love the grandma slice, and they're pretty inexpensive, and the garlic knots are the best!

I absolutely love this pizza. I've have been going here since I was a little girl, and now when I go back to NY for a visit, I get to take my little girls with me. Some of my favorite menu items are their Shrimp parm. on bread or with spaghetti, cheese calzone, and the vegetable stuffed pizza. They also have a large variety is of specialty pizzas. I guarantee you will find something you like at this restaurant. Some say the menu items are a bit pricey but what isn't pricey these days? Especially in NYC.

So here I have been thinking for the last five or seven times that I have checked into this pizza store that I was checking into the right one, hell I even looked at the map to be sure the blue dot was shining right in front of the store; guess that was all wrong or could have been a Yelp problem were they deleted the original and had to recreate another one. What ever the problem was only a snafu on Yelp could make this happen. So what is this amazing pizza store all about? Is this a authentic high end store that will amaze the crap out of you? No! Is this a store that will remind you of the Italian farms where the tomatoes were picked from and used to create the sauce? No. Is this the store that will have you coming back like the dollar pizza store everyday? No. Is it a neighborhood store that produces adequate food with a price that is relevant to this area? Hell Yeah! Nothing about this place will make you come here over and over again like you must. It is a great pizza store that have several different items that they sell where for lunch most go there when they may need something different. They sell zeppolis, meatball subs, beef patties, pizza (duh!), cappuccino (really.....why?), and other variety of food items you find at local pizza stores now a days. The times where pizza stores used to have very authentic pizza, may ten or two different varieties, with some great garlic bread seems to be being replaced with local stores that offer so many different items that authenticity seems to dissipate out the door. Not to say all their items are bad or authentic, but it just strikes me as that. The pizza is really just a bummer. If I am paying $2.75 for a slice I want wow. Not the wow that will have me flying because that will not be $2.75 at all more like $5, but something that makes me say "Oh hell yeah!" with every bite. It can be the sauce, the cheese, the bread, or even the crust but something. With their pizza it is pretty normal, with a crust that is not that big or overly crunchy; just has the right levels to it. The sauce is nothing special, but with preference I wouldn't even have the sauce on it sometimes (yeah I am a weirdo lol). The zeppolis are my favorite thing in there. They are soft, has a little crunch, and with the right amount of powder sugar it is just tantalizing but even that they will mess up sometimes (SMH!) But it is highly recommended by me for sure.....the guy who is rating it 4 stars but talking all this crap. The beef patties for some weird reason adding cheese will make the ground meet taste pretty liquidy, not saying it was bad but what is the meat even made of that cheese will do that to it haha. The meatball sub was sub-par at most, with no flavor on the meatball at all nor the tomato sauce. The meatball were some what juicy and the bread was crunchy; which at this point is their strength to me I think haha. Overall i think of this place as a 3.5 stars haha. However, they will need to do better soon because two blocks away an Artichokes pizza store just opened up, Now of course artichoke is hella expensive so why not just keep coming here instead of wasting that money for that pizza store? Just imagine a artichoke pizza if you ever seen one, and now think about the question again haha. But that doesn't mean this place is going to go down that fast. Yes the people in the evening seems to go toward more at Artichoke than here, but that doesn't mean everyone here has Artichoke money so there will always be customer for them. Plus, with a lot more option they have more to offer than Artichoke, but that does limit the taste factor I mentioned. They also have a lot more seats which is a plus haha. They even have the front window doors open up during the summer where people can enjoy the breeze as they are eating. So they definitely have some strong suits that can help them be better, are they utilizing it is the question? Their customer service skills are not terrible either so I don't see why their food have to be mediocre with the price they are charging. But hey I am just a Yelper, what do I really know right?

I've come here multiple times and have not been disappointed. I've tried everything from the pepperoni pizza, the lasagna pizza, to the spaghetti and meatballs, and it has been delicious every time. Prices are definitely fair for the area and the location is always pretty clean. Must try!

You know a place is AMAZING when you are only in NYC for the weekend and you go to it two different times! The staff is so friendly and they made everything in 15-20 minutes! Definitely try the calzones; they have delicious mozzarella and ricotta. Plus great prices! We got one pepperoni calzone, one spinach roll, and two pepperoni rolls for $24 the first time and one pepperoni calzone and two pepperoni rolls, and buffalo wings for $25 the second time.

I got here at 11.30pm the first time. Cool guy behind the counter. For a newly remodeled pizzeria, the guy gives it personality that an old school pizzeria can't compete with. Little hook ups, fun jokes, interaction etc. For getting the last slices, as in nothing was really fresh and we were twisted...not bad, not bad at all. So we left, bought beers, tried to chill on a few stoops, no luck...so we came back, bought out the last of the garlic knots...he was cool enough to let us chill with our beers at the table.

Oh, I used to live upstairs in the building next door and lived on their pizza for over two years (two cheese slices, cold- so I could heat 'em upstairs). The owners are nice (they were my landlords as well). The pizza is good- not crazy gourmet or anything, but good stuff, and as I write this from far away, I wish I could run downstairs for a slice or two... It's also clean, and busy- so you get a nice fresh slice...

Pizza is when pizza anywhere you go. It's pretty hard to mess up a slice but believe me I've had bad before! I Came Here On Recommendation. I was told they had a really good slice. I was skeptical since it was an ordinary pizza place and the person was probably just really hungry lol. When i walked in i was surprised to see it packed. mostly with typical park slope stroller mom's that just picked up their kids from school. I mean, that has to mean something right?! I walked up to the counter and they had all types of delicious looking pies. I especially love the slices that are stuffed. I settled just for a regular slice this time. I always tell every pizza place to make mine extra well done. I like my pizza crispy. I have the admit, the slice was pretty damn good. It wasn't paper thin. It had a thickness to it, but not doughy thickness, they made it well done just the way I like it. I would definitely come back to try the other delicious slices they have displayed!.

New York pizza that suits the tourist. I have heard from many a native and transplanted New Yorker, that pizza is plentiful, and much of it very good. I have no idea how this place rates, but can say that as a famished tourist, I was very pleased with my spinach and tomato pizza. The crust was crispy and robust, the toppings loaded on top, and filled with deliciousness. My husband had the Sicilian pizza, which as a New Yorker (since moved to the West Coast), he appreciated. The service was quick, the facilities clean and open, and very appreciated.

Apparently their "Grandma Pizza" is really good as it has a great sauce. They pre-make the pizza but don't cook it until you order it so that it's fresh. -Grandma Pizza: So this is basically mozzarella, basil and tomato sauce atop a flatbread hard crust. When there is a taste, it's okay but most of the time I feel like I'm just chewing hard cardboard crust. FINAL VERDICT: nope. Another skip.
