"Opened in 2017 next to Gramps, this bright red-and-yellow pizza ventanita provided no-frills sustenance in the form of cheese, dough, and red sauce for people soaking up beers and bourbons. Its closure on December 10 was anticipated but heartbreaking, inspiring Gramps owner Adam Gersten to post a sentimental Instagram tribute inviting guests to come for final slices they could “really be able to taste the tears” in, joking about bringing flowers to lay on the window and promising that not a pepperoni would be forgotten, along with a surprise announcement that it plans to reopen in February 2026, though no details have been shared." - Laine Doss

Sure, we always seem to crave it after four cocktails, but you can walk in here whether or not you're trying to drink. But pizza is certainly the thing to get here—there are about seven varieties ranging from a pretty perfect cheese slice to one with spicy pepperoni and pineapple. "The bar wing is a sacred genre of wing. It needs to be fried, a little spicy, and come with your choice of ranch or blue cheese. And Pizza Tropical (the pizza ventanita on the patio of Gramps) makes an outstanding, simple bar chicken wing. You can order them hot-sauced or tossed in a mild honey garlic sauce.
