Pizza perfection!! Exactly the way you want a classic NY slice to taste. Cash only & no Parmesan but you don’t even need it bc the pizza is so damn good. Several little booths inside if you want to eat it there. Also: fountain drinks, yay! Loved it and can’t wait to have it again!! Pepperoni, classic cheese, white and Sicilian were all delicious!

The Italian restaurant is located in the Bay Ridge section of Brooklyn. The restaurant has a sign that states it has been in business for 55 years. The restaurant is a cash-only establishment. They have a limited menu and sell pizza, rolls, calzones and drinks. I ordered the pizza and it was good. The pizza was thin and the crust was easy to chew. Prices are less than many other similar restaurants. Friendly staff and quick service. They also have late business hours.

I am born and raised in Brooklyn. I know good pizza. This is by far the best pizza in the state. Its the only pizza that tastes good fresh, reheated and cold at the same time. The cheese melts in your mouth, the sauce is very savory and the dough is nice and crunchy with a nice mild smokey flavor to it from the brick oven. Best pizza in all of NY.

My New York friends swear by this place. And it was so good! Such a classic New York pizza place. We have one on LA now and I did a comparison and it tastes exactly the same! So happy I get to have it at home as well.

This is exactly how NY pizza is supposed to taste. Just like the past. It’s what I want my neighbors in NJ and friends in other states who’ve never had NYC pizza to taste. I’d bring my neighbors some, but I’m sure they ask for it more often.

Pizza here will always so fresh and when you see the whole pizza just out of the oven, the cheese on the top is still melting, and smell so good, you just can't resist to make an order. $3 for a slice of traditional cheese on top is no worry option. I think it is a good way to eat it one after one, it is not necessary ordered a lot once, since the still melting cheese is so incredible, so it worth to pay again and again.

We've ordered pies from 6 different pizzerias in the neighborhood. Pizza Wagon: The Best, hands down. The crust is super thin. The sauce is perfectly seasoned; Just enough salt, just enough basil, with tomatoes cooked down for just the right amount of time. The cheese was the right amount; Plentiful but not exorbitant, causing oil puddles on top. We've officially found our dedicated pizzeria.

It's average. I don't think it's any better or worse than other pizzeria I've been to. Ordered a large pie with half mushroom and half pepperoni. It was ok/acceptable. Didn't think it was anything special compared to other pizzeria. Not worth a special trek for. Place is quite small but there's some seating, maybe about 6 (four ppl) tables. There's also some standing tables outside. There's no bathroom available so can't even wash your hands before u dig into your pizza. No garlic knots available either.

While in the Bayridge area, after an hour of walking in the Dyker Heights area and taking in all the beautiful homes decorated for the holidays & viewing all the Christmas lights; we stopped by Pizza Wagon to fill our bellies. It's a local spot with vintage vibes and spot on pizza. While we watched the staff prepare the dough, mix in the sauce, cheese and other toppings there was no doubt the pizza would be delicious. We tried the classic slice, and grabbed a hard to come by table in this small spot. The piping hot pizza warmed my heart and belly as I took my first few few bites. The sauce was just perfect and that's truly hard to come by in a city full of pizza joints with a crunchy crust too. The cheese was great and not too stringy. After devouring my first slice I decided to get a second slice with mushrooms and it was just as tasty. This will be my go to spot for filling my belly when I'm back in the area. The staff are super friendly and accommodating too.

On Yelp! you know better than to ask what people think of a neighborhood institution. Simply put, it is the best pizza in Bay Ridge. You get your pizza in the blink of an eye. Prices are fine. You get in and out so you can get on your way to the BQE or one of the gazillion or so busses. Go!

My regular spot closed down and my kids wanted NY style pizza.Took the troop out to my after school high school spot and got me a a slice and knew this would be the pie I'm bringing home to MN. Told the guy want I was doing and he carefully boxed it up for me and I was on my way. My family destroyed it the minute I got back into town. Alice was cheesy, the bottom had a nice crispness to it and a good chew even after reheating it the next day. True institution to a NY slice.

A staple of bay ridge, this is an old school no frills pizzeria joint serving a solid slice. Nothing fancy with ambiance, but always reliable and good tasting when you in the need of a quick slice on the go. Always high on my list of spots to stop in when in bay ridge.

As classic as Brooklyn pizza can get. As a pizza connoisseur born and raised in Brooklyn, pizza wagon is the standard I use when comparing other pizzeria's. They could charge more, but they don't. They could have limited hours of operation, but they are open early and close after midnight on Friday and Saturdays. Come here for the Brooklyn pizza experience without the long lines and tourist trap prices.

Perhaps it is because I have not had pizza in quite some time, but a new contender has emerged for me as having one of the best pizza slices in New York City, definitely in Brooklyn. It also happens to be in a neighborhood that once thrived with pizzerias, now being overtaken by the influx of a new demographic. The interior of this pizza shop is beyond retro, with counters inside and for outside customers. The sliding red chairs, the formica tables, the smell of the pizza cooking in the oven, it just feels like a Brooklyn pizza shop. When I think of a New York pizza shop, this is what I think of. Best of all, it is only a five minute walk from the 86th street station on the R train. For lack of a better word, the pizza here rocks. It is simple, but perfect in every way. From the moment the pizza comes out of the oven, to the very last bite, each bite tastes exactly the same, and it is the consistency of this slice is what makes it so perfect. To prove their worth however, I had to get two other slices, a white slice, and a Sicilian square. As mentioned, the plain triangle slice is perfect in every way. Just the right amount of crisp to chew, the thin crust pulls but does not lose its integrity whatsoever. The slice never flops, and stays hot for a good while after it leaves the oven, gradually cooling, but still retaining its flavor. The cheese to sauce ratio is spot on. It is a clean slice, not too salty, but just a little bit to where you can taste it, and with little fuss. I could eat this slice for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or late night and I trust I am getting the same slice every time. The white slice is almost as perfect as the plain. Perfectly dolloped globs of ricotta, mixed in with just the right amount of garlic, and that perfect thin crust. Too many times pizzerias get cute on a white slice, but this one restrains itself nicely and as a result, is still a perfect slice. Lastly, I had to go for the trifecta and get a Sicilian square. The perfect Sicilian square should have a fluffy top, yet a crunchy undercarriage to it, not too messy, and you should be able to eat this with your hands and not a fork and knife. It checks every box, with flying colors. Super fluffy, crispy underside, and the sauce and cheese are solid. The sauce has a bit of a sweetness and slight richness, but it passes quickly, and before you know it, you just finished that square. I did not ask, but always, always get a corner square. Corners are the best, and though I did not get a forger this time, I will be sure to get one next time. For $3 a slice, this is absolutely a steal. They also prepare whole pies and calzones and charge a little extra for toppings, but that pretty much sums up the menu. They really just do pizza and calzones, much like Luigi's in Park Slope, who also makes a dynamo pizza slice in Brooklyn that highly I recommend you try. The only negative is that it is a cash only business. That is fine with me, if that is the only negative for this old school pizzeria. It is a small price to pay for such an underrated, but outstanding pizza slice.

I made my first trip to Pizza Wagon when I arrived in NYC many years ago. The place hasn't changed one bit since my last trip. The interior of Pizza Wagon needs some love. I ordered two Sicilian slices, and I grabbed a table. The Pizza was good, but not as good as I remembered it. My bill with a bottle of water was $7.75. Thank U next!

Slice joint, been there a long time. I got a slice and a spinach stick and ate it right there on the fly. Cash only!

Been ordering pizza from here for over 24 years. Even directly asked Dave from Barstool to review this place a few years ago. He answered me and said, "will do". Dave gave it a 7.2 I believe. But he kept saying, "solid slice, solid Brooklyn slice". Anyone complaining about this place should be exiled from New York. Not allowed to live here. This is the standard Brooklyn slice. The everyday slice. You can never get sick of it. The only people I can see giving this a bad rating are people who would abandon their own children. Or steal from their parents. Or just winey, spoiled, entitled, no good POF who don't deserve the taste of pizza. The picture I posted was about five hours after ordering it fresh out the oven and took it back home. I ate six slices immediately in one sitting. I'll have the next two for dinner. I can order a pie from here every single day and I'll never get sick of it! Don't believe me? Check my bank statements for the past 24 years. Nearly every single day. A True Bay Ridginal.

I stumbled upon this pizza joint at 12:30AM, and let's just say it was the right decision to indulge in a slice of pepperoni pizza!

Pizza Wagon has been in Bay Ridge for decades. I've only ever had regular slices, but they are great, especially when you're looking for something fast. Always busy, but they move fairly quickly. There are some tables inside, and make sure to bring cash.

This is the best place to grab a classic slice. The trick is, you have to eat it there! The magic is in the building. If you have it delivered, it won't taste the same. Chances are you will eat it standing because they only have a few seats. This place is just pizza, maybe a calzone, but don't look for heroes, pasta or anything else. It's all about the pizza! Of course you have to get a fountain coke to make it perfect! This is the heart of Bay Ridge Pizza, if you are going to the Christmas Lights festival in Dyker Heights, be sure to stop at Pizza Wagon before you get back on the R train to go home!

My absolute favorite spot for a great slice. Took my kids here the other day and they're still solid. I grew up in the area nearly 40 years ago and still make sure to swing by any chance I get. I've never had any issues with service like other people seem to talk about. The neighborhood has changed a bit, but pizza wagon is still the same... And I mean that in the best way possible.

Baffling. Advertises vegan pizza but doesn't serve any. I rode miles out of my way to be disappointed.

People must be out of their mind to recommend this place. Maybe it was good years ago. The inside looks exactly like the neighborhood, dingy and dirty. The regular slice was the worst I've had in years. At the first bite, you could tell it was going to be horrible, no matter how good the pictures posted on their site look. Almost any dollar slice in NY is better than this. The worst offender: the cheese. You know the difference between good grease and nasty grease, how the grease in fresh cheese on a slice tastes a certain way? And that bad grease, from cheap cheese, or cheese that is pushing an expiration date? Yeah, the latter. And the dough, dry, like someone who doesn't know how to make dough, too much flour maybe, or not enough yeast. What do I know about making pizza dough, nothing. But I sure know what tastes good and what doesn't. I would give them a pass and think maybe they had a bad day or a new guy, and try it another day, EXCEPT: as I'm eating, a guy comes around from behind the counter and pushes the garbage down in overfilled garbage can to make more room. WITH HIS HANDS. No gloves, nothing. Even if there some sink behind the counter, the guy was elbows deep into the garbage. And where does he go, back around the counter. I'm like excuse me, what? Not worth the trip to a neighborhood that was once probably a good place. Thankfully, Prince street pizza is on the way back on the R.

Large pepperoni pie was amazing it felt like I was a kid again! The pizza here reminds me of pizza back in the 90s a good old school pizza.

Something is wrong with the oven. Last few times I have been there, the bottom of slices and full pies are burnt, and at the same time the top is cooked normally. Workers snap back at you if you dare mention this to them. Prices have increased to Manhattan levels as well which is just pure greed.

Open late which is great. It's a neighborhood institution. Only takes cash and I think the square has taken a step back.

Normally when I drop by the pizza is delicious. But somehow this time it was different, likely it was the time of day... but I regret the purchase. At 10:45am I bought what was placed out assuming that it was fresh for the day. I paid $11 for 2 slices and a veggie stuffed pizza slice. My daughter who was remote learning with a 11am lunch - ate the first slice and complained of stomach aches. She begged me not to go back to the store to complain so I'm writing this review. Please don't sell pizza that has been sitting out, and reheated you can truly hurt someone.

Pizza Wagon is a Bay Ridge institution. Not only does it predate me living in this area of Brooklyn, but it also predates me living. Many a late night have ended here, but I was in the area and due to the pandemmy, takeout options were slim. Stopped in for a pepperoni and a square. It was dinner rush, so not many options left and they were working their hardest to sling out fresh pies. The pepperoni slice I got was gigantic. The square slice was actually a tad smaller than you'd get elsewhere, but I also feel like regular square slices are unreasonably large (if you're having more than that). So all in all, not bad. Paid $7 for the two slices.

A neighborhood favorite and maybe the only pizzeria that is open late night to satisfy those late night cravings! You won't find them on any if these delivery apps and will have to come in person to get your food. I love that old school feel it gives for that. The pizza here is really good and top 3 in the neighborhood in my opinion and there is a lot of competition. 4.5 stars

Decent pizza and quick service. As this pizza shop is located right in the midst of the 86th Street shoppers--this place typically has no shortage of customers. Despite the large amount of customers, they have a verge large staff of employees, you typically won't have to wait long without gaining the attention of an employee. They have a walk-up window, few tables outside, along with some inside seating. I've only had pizza and beef patties here and I was pleased with both.

Long time customer. This is usually my GO TO SPOT. This last time was the last straw for me. Came here with my whole family. Kids. Brother, nieces and my father. The place was packed. There was 1 table open, we took it, another table would've been open but one of the employees was sitting down on his phone with his feet up on the chair. My father had a slice of pizza in his hand and asked him if he could sit down and eat on the other side. The man completely ignored him, my father thought maybe he didn't speak English so he asked again in Spanish, he ignored him again. My father then just sat down and ate his slice. The man literally just sat there with a nasty face the whole time. First of all WHY ARE EMPLOYEES TAKING UP CUSTOMER SEATING? The man then gets up and did the arm signal of crossing his arms telling my father to "F" off from behind the counter. The slices come now. They're burnt, I gave him back my slice and asked for a new one. He takes it and literally throws it across the back area, not sure if there's a garbage on the opposite end of the counter but he tossed it like there was. My daughter orders a square. The dough is still raw. I went up and asked for another one with cooked dough. HE CHARGED ME FOR IT... now this is the same guy I saw one time charge a man for 7 slices at the end of the night instead of just charging him for the pie that he originally wanted but they didn't have. The man literally tells him "come on man, you know me, this is a lot more money, I wanted a pie, can you charge me for a pie and I'll just take the 7 slices. He refused.... THIS ISNT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE. I said to myself after seeing that I would never come back BUT here I was, coming back and THIS is what I get. Pizza wagon is a local neighborhood spot with regulars coming for pizza. The staff should learn how to treat their loyal customers. I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN!

I've been going to pizza wagon for over 15 years now; my family & I are loyal customers. It's very nostalgic going there and ordering for our family events. however, I believe I stopped going for some time due to my life not being in bay ridge but when I happen to start going to grab my Sicilian from time to time I notice two new workers that constantly have an attitude with me assuming what they chat in Spanish isn't so kind; i have to say the customer service has been really shitty and disgusting. I hope to see the boss one day and inform him about his workers. Todays visit was not tolerable the way the worker ripped my bag open aggressively because it needed to be hot -.- I hope I don't sound like a Karen but I took my self to bay ridge house of wings yall! Not too far & it was halal! See ya there!

This is delicious pizza, fresh, crispy and yummy. Service was excellent and they engage well with the customers. It was clean and great AC. I love this place, my new spot when I visit Brooklyn. Thank you for a great experience. I should of taken a picture but it's in my belly.

This is a must stop when in Bay Ridge in Brooklyn. This is real pizza. Best pizza I've had in a loooong time after moving out of the tri state area. Ordered a few slices of pepperoni pizza and went back and got more. It was like a drug it is so damn good. Bay ridgers, I'm so jealous you have this outstanding place in your neighborhood.

Just wow. I feel bad for the people who work here because they are clearly miserable with their lives. I live around the corner and I've avoided leaving a negative review despite all the rude service/being ignored in the past, but tonight just set a new low. An employee sat on the counter, looked into my eyes, and made fun of me to the other employees in Spanish, apparently either assuming I wouldn't understand or daring me to challenge him. I worked as an English translator in Oaxaca for 4 years. All the while, he and everyone else refused to otherwise acknowledge me. I just wanted a slice of pizza for crying out loud! He also said he was drunk and was clearly proud of it. Finally after standing there for 10 minutes, with 4 employees and 1 other customer waiting for his order, a guy shoved the second-to-last cold slice from the tray into a too-small bag, so it flipped on top of itself, but luckily since it was cold the cheese didn't meld together. Mind you this was at 8:30pm when they're open til 1am. There are so many better options around--I won't be back.

I definitely recommend good people. The food was great The food was fresh and they have a good sausage roll. Definitely recommend you should try this place out definitely would go again.

Late night in bayridge this is definitely a great spot to grab a pizza. It's the definition of a true NY slice. I love that staff is so nice and helpful. I definitely recommend coming by and grabbing a slice or a pie! I asked for light sauce on my pie and they accommodated my request without a second thought.

Came here on Memorial Day looking for some late night grub because everywhere was closed. I got the pepperoni and my bf got the square. I haven't had pizza in so long, I forgot what a decent slice tasted like. Pizza wagon showed me what a good New York slice should be! It also was affordable and didn't break my pocket. I would definitely come back. Workers were also friendly and got my pizza to be piping hot super quick.

The square slice is good and actually can be even great . The regular slice is descent to very good . They are quick and efficient. The place is a little run down and their is no bathroom , But the Pizza is good to absolutely terrific . Depending ... The area is very Busy .

Classic NY style pizza, dependably good every day. Calzone is the house specialty that is awesome. Prices are pretty much the same as every other place. Great location near great shopping. Parking lot across the street is helpful.

I sasid I wasn't going to eat any Pizza... then I came to Bay Ridge and fell off the Pizza Wagon. Or did I jump on it? Either way, it was good. Massive enormous Pizza slices that are nothing like most New York City slices. Sort of reminds me of a place you would find in Boston or DC or even up in Buffalo. If it weren't in NYC, but in somewhere like Louisville or Louisiana or anything beginning with Louis, I'd give it 5 stars, but in NYC, right next to 2 excellent NY slice spots... it's 4.

My kids hated pizza until I brought them to Brooklyn. We tried DaVinci, Grimaldis and pizza wagon. DaVinci has the best Sicilian, but pizza wagon has the best napoleon pizza!!

Pizza Wagon Is still one of the best pizza places in NYC. They've been around for many years and still make great pizza. Been coming here since the 80s. What I also love is that it's like going back in time when I walk in this place.
