"Pizzanista! (exclamation point included) is an eclectic mix of skateboard culture, local ingredients, and delicious pizza. You can go one direction and indulge in the sightly blasphemous Meat Jesus pizza (pepperoni, sausage AND bacon), or do a 180 (or a backside 180 ollie, look it up) and order a vegetarian or vegan OR gluten-free slice. On the weekend, try out their Mac & Cheese pizza. Wash it down with a beer or any of their selection of off-beat sodas (Lenin-ade, anyone?), and maybe swipe a $1 day-old slice for later." - verynice

They serve whole pies or do by-the-slice, and they’re across-the-board cheesy, greasy, and wonderful. If it’s Sunday, you need to get the vegan mac and cheese pie. "I've noticed that Pizzanista is now officially open in San Marino just south of Pasadena, operating limited daytime hours and selling slices and whole 18-inch pies to those in the know; the longtime Arts District, New York–ish style pizza spot occupies 2461 Mission Street and doubles as a full-on skateboard shop where you can pick up merchandise, stickers, wheels, and more.
