A group of six of us ate lunch there today. We thought the pizza was very good, having a mushroom, a hawaian, the Caesar salad, plus the artichoke dip and the bruschetta. The dipand bruschetta were served with 8 or so toasted bread slices on a platter, which was fine. The artichoke dip was tasty and in a little skillet to keep it warm. The amount of bread for the dip was just right. The bruschetta was served in a little cup that sat on the platter with the bread. The amount of bread was the same as the dip but the amount of bruschetta was far smaller. There was only enough bruschetta to cover about half or less of the bread. I'm a fan of bruschetta and have it frequently. This is the first time I have ever seen it served in a little bowl that required sticking the bread into it to get it on the toast. That's okay but you do have to stick it back into the little bowl after each bite. After eating three or four pieces we had to stop because there was no more bruscheta for the rest of the bread. I don't know if the owner cares enough about this dish, which perhaps relatively few people order, to fix this problem but a very easy fix would be to put the tomato mix on the bread and serve it that way, which is how it is typically served. In any case it would solve the problem. The owners of this new restaurant are the same as the ones who owned Zeeks Pizza and it is the same restaurant with the pizza being better than Zeeks, which was pretty good too. They have indeed improved the pizza and I hope they care enough about the bruschetta to try my suggestion. It was also too salty, which is also easily remedied. Don't salt it in the kitchen. There's salt provided on the table if you want your brushcetta to taste like salt. I offer these suggestions in the hope the owner will take them up. It will improve upon a fine restaurant that has already improved over its previous incarnation and I hope they succeed. I have eaten at all the pizza places in Woodinville, having lived here since 1980 and found Pizzaology much better than Pizza Coop or any of the others for quality of food and setting, though of course these things are a matter of taste, literally. Very nice seating outside as well, with a firepit for those wanting one. Great selection of beers. The server, David, seemed to be running the place by himself and doing a very good job of it.
