Tried Pizzaology for the first time, tonight. Love the location, and that you're bringing a different option to Woodin Creek Village. As usual, parking is a bit of a hunt, but if you circle the wagon a few times, something always opens up. Restaurant is nicely set up with booth, table, and bench seating. Staff were welcoming, and kind, and around to ask any questions we had.
We ordered one large custom pie (sausage, mushroom, onion and olive on half) and then a small Margherita to-go for someone at home. I will say that the crisp, bite and flavor of the crust are one of the best you'll find locally!! As close to the old Frankie's crisp as I've found - just a little thinner (I'm still searching for a medium crust). The toppings were all great quality - tried them all individually. The sauce is robust and bright* and overall we were really stoked to find a new joint. Will definitely come back.
A couple of notes (because everyone needs something to do!) - but should NOT be considered as any kind of deterrent!!!
1) *You should disclose that you have crushed red pepper in your marinara sauce. It's isn't a ton...but after a couple of pieces you will know it is there. When we asked, we were told it does have peppers, but that you can order 'kids marinara' and it's the same thing without peppers. Make this known!
2) Yes it's summer, and yes you have a large beer and wine selection - but ya gotta find a solution for the fruit flies.
3) Go check out your online ordering menu on Toast. Marinara is misspelled 85% of the time, and it's margherita (pizza) not margarita (drink)! Sorry - English major but they aren't representing you well!
4) Cost-wise I thought most offerings were in-line, but $40 for a custom large (up to 5 toppings) is $6 higher than some of your signature pies with 6 or 8 toppings! Also $14 for a full salad, or $12 for a half?
