Google
An upscale pizza joint? Never heard of it until now. Their pizza has that awesome hot-fire 800 degree oven feel with the perfect char and that sweet, cold-ferment tasting dough that actually tastes like something more than bread. The staff is accommodating and super knowledgeable on their food, and the restaurant is intimate and classy. I look forward to going back here again and again.

Google
We heard about this place and gave it a try. The food was very reasonably priced and the quality was high. I had the Chicken Parmesan with Spaghetti. The chicken was pounded out nicely. Breaded with the cheese slightly caramelized. The sauce was tasty. The service was friendly and attentive. Also found out that they do sell pizza by the slice during lunch. My wife and I will be back.

Google
Great NY style pizza. The Philly Cheese Steak pizza was a pleasant surprise. It was really good! Plain old cheese was good too. I like the saucy tomato sauce not too sweet.

Google
Best pepperoni pizza I’ve ever had. The taste, texture and quality was amazing. 5 stars for the customer service as well. If youre looking for some quality Italian food that taste’s like home. This is the place to be.

Google
We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner. The restaurant is clean and well kept. We both had side salads, small cheese pizza for me and Calzone for wife. Calzone was huge, mountainous! Salads were crisp and fresh. Pizza was very good too. The service was very good and they have a wide menu selection. It was nice to see the cook hand toss my pizza dough. Very authentic! Reminds me of a Brooklyn Pizzeria. I look forward to our next visit.

Google
Deep dish Chicago style is not even close… take an airplane to Detroit and get this pizza … clearly a Detroit style Michigan pizza, look at the dough should show you more than enough. Got taken and never again, shame they market it Chicago “style” my pops is probably spinning in his grave over this. You didn’t get even close to the “style” but you got my money this one time… touché

Google
Food here is very subpar, emphasize the very!! I don’t even know where to start. Their so called garlic cheese bread was a piece of bread slapped on with a piece of cheese that wasn’t even cooked. Don’t even get me started with the pizza. Their Chicago pizza tasted like elementary school pizza. It wasn’t even Chicago style. People from Chicago would be disgraced. The cheese was stuck to the top of the box. It tasted like we ate cardboard with a bunch of nasty meat on top. And their veggie pizza was disgusting. I would rather eat leftover frozen pizza from Kroger rather than eating here. Not to mention instead of salad dressing they gave us pizza sauce (which was cold and tasted like it came from a jar) for our salad. We all took a couple bites of our food. We will be trashing it and going to In N Out. What a disgrace.

Google
Being born and raised in NYC and recently relocating to the DFW area, I must admit this was a slice of home! We had both the regular pie and sicilian (deep dish) and they were great. I'm very impressed and ridiculously happy that we have NYC pizza close by. Delicious!

Charles H.

Yelp
Posted earlier about both the pizza and quality ingredients but their tomato vinaigrette dressing is the best! Order many

Jim B.

Yelp
Ordered a medium meat lovers special pizza. The pizza was, in my opinion, very overcooked, the toppings were of dubious quality, sparsely applied, and the sausage smelled rancid. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
I am so definitely will give a local place the benefit of the doubt and multiple chances. If it's bad food I just won't go back but will stay quiet. Mediocre, I'll give it a second and maybe third chance. What I won't tolerate is mediocre food and lack of integrity. We ordered here a few weeks ago. Ordered the gluten free bbq chicken. The crust is super thin and tough. What bothered me the most is that the toppings and cheese were almost raw. I assume they haven't mastered cooking the crust while also adequately cooking the toppings. We decided to try this place again last night. When I went to their homepage a pop-up coupon displayed. "15% discount on any order." Nice. Decided to try the Greek pizza with gluten free crust. They wouldn't honor the coupon. Response was "that's delivery only". Wut? "But the coupon states all orders." Well "that's Grub Hub's fault, we are not going to accept it." "So, you are going to lose a customer over a few dollars..." Interesting. Well, luckily the crust was still thin and tough. The toppings were raw and gross. There are much better gluten free options at Spin Pizza (cauliflower is awesome) and Zelat. Spin also puts out a bunch of offers and runs a great loyalty program. Obviously we aren't going back.

Yelp
Ordered through Grub Hub. Food was packaged nicely. Garlic knots: tasty and the marinara sauce is great. They were underdone so put them in the air fryer to get a more crispy outside. Stromboli: excellent size and full of meat. The Stromboli crust was also underdone so cut it in half and put in the air fryer to finish. Caprese salad: disappointed because the menu says it comes with capers but they didn't. They tossed a few Kalamata olives instead. Tomato's weren't that fresh either. Overall decent take out. Keep your air fryer on hand to finish cooking the items.

Yelp
First and foremost, their pizzas are massive and fairly inexpensive for a mom and pop shop. 16" pan pizza for under $20. Haven't seen that price since the pandemic hit. Caesar Salad - alright Frutti De Mare - fishy smell was not appetizing Shrimp Fradiavolo - fabulous sauce Chicken Parmesan - pretty good Sausage - great accompaniment to spaghetti Meat Lovers Pizza - satiating but not over-the-top fantastic

Yelp
It takes a lot to impress me, especially when it comes to food as basic as pizza or anything from a pizzeria. The food i got delivered was perfect. Well packaged. The calzone was made with clearly the best ingredients. The cheesecake was divine. Kudos to who ever the delivery driver was (they didn't get lost). Overall worth it! and a great find!

Yelp
The pizza (sauce, cheese, toppings) is really good, however I wish the end part of the crust was better. It does not have any flavor and texture isn't great. So we always have to throw away the end pieces.

Jim T.

Yelp
I recommend the Margarita Pizza with extra red sauce and basil. Outta this world!! Thank you, Alba!!

CookieCat5450 C.

Yelp
Very good! The food is very tasty, and the menu has a ton of selection. The service is pretty quick, and the atmosphere is overall pretty quiet. I hope more people come to this restaurant since I see so few people come here. it really is a good hole-in-the-wall, and I hope its business expands!

Yelp
BEST PIZZA IN FRSICO BY FAR!!! Love the people , the service is warm and welcoming!! Just awesome! This place by far is frisco hidden gem ! If you like good Italian food come here!!!

Yelp
We've ordered delivery twice and both times have experienced some issues. The first time was exceptionally slow and the food was cold. The flavor on the chicken parm was just okay, certainly not anything to get excited about. The second time we ordered, they forgot our salad. After I pointed it out, they brought the salad, but it took over 30 minutes to do so. We also ordered basil on the pizza and received a laughably tiny amount of basil. Honestly, zero to three chiffonade slivers per piece of pizza (look at the attached pic.). On the positive side, the flavor of the sauce and dough were good! I think that we should try a dine-in experience to really get a feel of what Alba's Pizzeria is all about. The deliver has certainly fallen short.

Yelp
Amazing!! 10/10 This restaurant knocks flavor out of the park. The chicken was perfectly cooked with the right amount of flavor. The presentation was beautiful and the calzone was literally giant! I will definitely order from here again. Thank you.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
I can't figure out why this place wasn't packed! The food was authentic, flavorful, and fast! The staff were super friendly and helpful.

Yelp
We've been patronizing Alba's since they opened several years ago. We order at least once a week. The pizza is the best in the area and closest to true NY style that we've been able to find in TX. Only complaint is that if you order online (GrubHub, Slice, etc), they do not always pay attention to notes you put in. I always request my pizza to be light cheese and lightly baked, but they only get it right about 50% of the time. It's very annoying. We also wish they would open a bit earlier (currently do not open until 12). That aside, the pizza is excellent and we recommend to others.

Yelp
Sad to hear the account of my teenager who, with a group of friends, were completely disrespected as paying customers. Being told the restaurant is closing before posted closing time and being rudely treated when they asked questions about the menu. Their money is just as good as any adult. Surprising that a restaurant that isn't full would disregard paying customers who would also be future adult customers. Unfortunately I also will no longer be able to dine there.

Yelp
We order from Pizzeria Alba about once a week. They are the closest pizza to NY pizza we could find here. Their pizza and service is always spot on!!

Yelp
My husband and I consider ourselves to be pizza snobs, so it's a prettttyyy big deal that Alba's Pizzeria is our new go-to for pizza. It's fast, fresh and tasty. The sauce isn't too sweet. They put just the right amount of cheese and toppings. The crust isn't too thick or thin. And they have a huge 20-in pie that we've been ordering religiously so we can have some leftovers the next day. We normally get delivery, but I popped in one day to pick it up and I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and open it was. A huge plus for me!
google avatar

Yelp
Friday family night pizza always includes Pizzeria Alba. We've never had any issues with our order. Granted we always get to-go, staff is always friendly when we pick up.

Yelp
Very good pizza and great price! My husband and I ordered the large everything pizza, very delish!- the crust was great, and was not greasy. My daughter got the chicken Parmesan sub- very good as well.

Yelp
Chicago-style pizza was a big miss. Mine was pretty much as described by Gregory E. And Anne N. (wish I'd read their reviews before ordering). I try to make a lot of room for all of the complications of running a restaurant during the pandemic. So, I don't complain about minor issues with timing, temperature, service. I know everyone's trying. Excited to see a Chicago-style deep dish on a menu in Frisco - I get excited about anything close to Chicago-style. Sadly, this reminded me of middle school cafeteria pizza - just bad all around. Barely any sauce (so little I don't even know what it tasted like), mushy pink tomatoes, thick bread, and nothing "deep." Sounds like some of their other menu items might be pretty good - but skip the deep dish. I think it's the first time I've thrown pizza in the garbage.

Amanda B.

Yelp
The lady in the front counter is wonderful. The pizza was worth the price. It's nice and cheesy. The crust is perfectly cooked. I can't wait to come back and try something new. Thank you for great hospitality

Yelp
Had the white pizza it was really good great crust and great flavor. Really enjoyed the red sauce to dip. Def recommend! You can tell it's family owned they were very nice and the order was on time. Will try again!

Yelp
We LOVE pizza, we typically order pizza at least once a week and have tried almost all pizza places around. Today was maybe the 3rd or 4th time ordering Alba's and each time I love it. The 20" pizza is awesome. Kids love and and so do we. For 20" pizza and garlic bread it was about 24 bucks so maybe a little higher than other spots but very good. This Pizza is so good. unlike some of the places with thicker pizza, you can poud some slices and not feel pregnant after.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything we have had from this family run restaurant has been amazing. We are lucky enough to be within their delivery range so we get their food often
google avatar

Joseph H.

Yelp
You ever have one of those pizzas that the more you ate the worse it got. Even the first piece was meh. And we were starving! Actually didn't mind it took 75 minutes for delivery on a Friday night, interestingly enough that was 20 minutes quicker than they predicted on the app. Hawaiian had so little pineapple we had to look for it. Just average basic pizza and not at all Italian.
google avatar

Leiann C.

Yelp
I love their pizza! I am from the Boston MA area and they do pizza like Boston! Plus they have artichokes which are my favorite!!!
google avatar

Dara A.

Yelp
We had take out from here tonight and it was delicious. We ordered a large meat lovers and some side salad. Their pizza was really good. We loved the super thin crust. Also the order was so quick. I ordered by phone and when I got to the store, everything was ready for me to take out.

Yelp
From the friendly greeting at the door to the attentive waiter, we found the service Excellent. Our pepperoni pizza was as good as we've had in NY. Overall this was a gem of a find and we will Definitely be back soon with our Family.

Yelp
Everyone knows exactly how their favorite pizza should be made. Read all the reviews of pizza places and get to know the experts. It boils down to who makes pizza the way you like it. Alba's does it for us. A 16 inch traditional pizza is $14.00. From my experience, that is market price. They have smaller and larger pies if you so desire, starting at $10. What makes them a little different is their BYOB offering, so bring a six pack or some wine and enjoy. Now, this small restaurant has a HUGE menu, offering just about all the Italian possibilities. I would think that might be a challenge for such a small kitchen, but I will leave that to others who have sampled the rest of the menu.

Yelp
We live nearby so we decided to give Pizza Alba a try tonight. First Impression: Small, but in a quaint type of way. There is a sulfur smell lingering in the air. Could never figure out what that was. It was Saturday night and the place was busy, but no wait. There isn't really a hostess desk or a sign that says wait to be seated, so we weren't sure if we should seat ourself or wait. Luckily someone came and had us seated before we stood there too long. Seating / Table Service: Comfy booths and tables. A pleasant waitress came over after a few minutes, greeted us and took our drink orders and promised to come back with bread. The drinks came out in a reasonable time, but the bread never did. We waited another 5 minutes or so for the waitress to come back to take our order. We re-requested bread, which she brought. We didn't get any bread plates, so we just used our napkins. Order: My wife ordered a pasta dish. I ordered a chicken parm sub, a pizza to share with our daughter and 2 Caesar salads. Simple enough. After a short wait, the pasta and sub came out. We asked about the pizza and salads and they said they are coming. The pizza came next, still no salads. We asked again and those came. Food: Though the service was a bit sloppy, the food tasted great. No complaints here. Overall, the place is fine. Probably need to work out some kinks on table service. It seemed people were a bit confused on who was working where and some other timing issues. Nothing dissuaded us that we wouldn't return or order a pizza again, it will be put in the dinner rotation for an occasional night out. It's just not a place we "have to" go back. 3 out of 5 stars, leaning closer to 4 given the taste of the food.

Yelp
I got the chicken Alfredo and white pizza. I ate on them for several days and it was so satisfying each time. I had it delivered and it arrived in a very timely manner.

Yelp
My wife and I love, love Margarita pizza. All that oil on crest and mozzarella, basil and slices of fresh tomatoes wow Alba is where we found it. Priced right, friendly staff and the lady at the front desk who makes it happen is customer service oriented. Ken and Karen We will be there every week end God Bless your business

Yelp
We were excited to try this place as it was rather close to us. In my head I was thrilled that i may have found that small but fantastically awesome pizza joint. I mean come on, who doesn't want to have their very own pizza joint favorite to recommend to any living person that happens to visit for the weekend. I truly wanted this to be it, especially since I grew up on Joe's Pizza. The delivery driver was friendly. The boxes looked pretty standard so the anticipation was growing. Once I opened the box I realized the Margherita was not so much The Margherita. It was more like The Margaret. There was no melting cloud white pieces of fresh mozzarella. There was not a slice of fresh tomatoes. Also, I am not sure if it was even Basil, let alone fresh. It looked more like rationed pieces of some sort of wet herb. Do not worry I have pictures to follow. The supreme was OK. That to me is a very sad commentary as a truly good supreme has so many different flavors all working together to give you that mouthful of awesomeness everytime. Again if it was great or even good, my review would have gone a totally different direction. Here is your chance to make things better Pizzeria Alba Yours truly, D.S. Apointed
google avatar

Liz M.

Yelp
Overpriced ! So, so pizza. Tony's pizza in the colony is a much better pizza, closer to a NYC quality and their prices are better too!
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
Family run which is great, they used to run Joe's in front of the Star. First things first- the family eats and sits in the main dining room. That's a big NoNo. Secondly, service is slow and the food is dramatically overpriced. I love the family pieces aesthetic, but at the price and the lack of food quality I doubt this establishment lasts. BTW- the food utilized for pizza toppings is not fresh, order pizza with meat and you'll recognize its over processed and under delivered. They charge such high prices because they purchase from Lisanti and want higher margins over food cost. When in actuality if they used local produce and production they'd save astronomical money. Ebitda is not this families strength! They need business help- bad-

Yelp
Undercooked soupy mess . Very disappointing based on the reviews. I ordered two pies and they were both like this......
google avatar

Lora R.

Yelp
Just finished a great thin crust NYC style pizza, half cheese half pepperoni. It was delicious and the staff were so friendly making sure that the pizza was exactly the way we wanted it. We will definitely be getting more pizza as well as stopping by for pasta. I am very picky about my Italian food and this is a great addition to the neighborhood! By the way, for all the complaints I saw about GrubHub why don't you just call and order your meal and pick it up? It's cheaper and you can make sure your order is correct. That's what we did and there were absolutely no problems whatsoever!
google avatar

Yelp
My family's favorite NY style pizza in DFW. Hard to go a week without it! Do it. Seriously.
google avatar

Jamie B.

Yelp
It's awesome to have a BYOB place so close to home. We fed a huge group of boys with a giant cheese pizza. Adults had pizza too and 3 desserts and we were able to get out of there feeding a total of 9 people for $80! AWESOME! Cheese pizza was fantastic. We had a gluten free crust and I loved it. Great flavor.
google avatar

Mark K.

Yelp
My wife and I are new to Frisco and we ordered a pizza from Alba's through the yelp app using Grubhub. I thought I was ordering a 20" with the gluten free crust. When it was delivered, it was a smaller pizza - 14". I called Alba's and the owner said there are some issues with Grubhubs menu/selection options for them and they don't offer the 20" with that crust. I asked if I could order a Large 20" and just come pick it up. When I got there, they were very friendly and helpful. I was ready to pay (again) and they said "no this one is on the house" and ended up giving me the Large for free. I wasn't expecting and didn't want a free pizza. I just wanted what I thought I ordered to begin with. Even though this was Grubhubs problem, Alba's owned it and took care of the mistake. Very classy move and professional way to do business. We will definitely come back and will recommend them to everyone we know!

Yelp
Second visit not so good. I ordered the Calzone which is a first for me. My husband loves them so I figured why not. Look at the bread all cooked nicely. I love bread. And I love ricotta cheese. Mozzarella is a given. So why 2 stars? This calzone was gross. It was so loaded with mozzarella you can bet how chewy it was. Ricotta, what ricotta? My husband suggest I check the middle. So I cut it down the middle and low and behold there is some ricotta. Just some. I think I had two bites before I gave up. There was just too much mozzarella. I like mozzarella but when you use as much as they did you will not taste anything but that. I wish I would have taken a pic. All you would have seen was cheese oozing out of the delicious bread. I'm not sure I will ever get a calzone again. I never thought I would be giving Alba's anything less than a 4 or 5but sadly I didn't have a choice. **sigh**

Peggy L.

Yelp
Very friendly and fast on my pickups. Food is great. I haven't eaten at location but looks very nice and clean.
google avatar

Yelp
Just such a wonderful place!!! Family owned and operated. Great presentation, value and each item was delicious!!!! Got to meet the owner, will try and come back often!!

Danny P.

Yelp
The Chicago style pizza is not Chicago style and not that good. It's very doughy and dry. However the thin pizzas are worth getting. The thin crust cooks really well. Service was good.
google avatar

Carrie V.

Yelp
Had to update my review after the second visit - didn't think it could get worse than foil in my food but waiting an hour and 20 minutes for food is unacceptable. On top of that very disappointing quality of food. This place can't handle any sort or volume and seems to be headed downhill fast!
google avatar

Sara P.

Yelp
Sadly mediocre at best. I was excited to see Chicago deep dish on a menu, however what we got was not that. Sauce was not on the top of the topping and not only that but the sauce was so light all you get is dough. The toppings were scarce and not worth the added charge. Personally I think pizza hut pan pizza is much better and has more sauce.
google avatar

Gregory E.

Yelp
Advertised as Chicago deep dish pizza. One of the worst pizzas we have ever had nothing more than a triple thick crust and very cold toppings. It appears as the crust was pre-baked toppings were put on and put in the oven to warm it up. One of the biggest disappointment we've had for a local pizza.
google avatar

Joel G.

Yelp
Let me start by saying I am very tough on these reviews because I have a high standard of what "value"is when spending my hard earned money. With that said, just had dinner there with my wife and daughter...we LOVED Alba Pizzeria! We started off with a calamari appetizer that was delicious and generous in portion. Dinner salads were super fresh, chilled and also generous in portion. My wife and daughter ordered pizza which they absolutely loved. I ordered spaghetti and their meat sauce was superb...unlike the usual sauce restaurants serve, Alba's is so rich with that 'cooked all day' flavor! Fabulous! The menu is loaded with traditional Italian fare so we can't wait to try them all! It's a family owned operation and their pride shows in the high quality of their food and service which brings me to Julieta who served us. She was so sweet and attentive without being intrusive. It wasn't super busy so we engaged her in conversation...my daughter said she gave Alba a perfect 5 star rating, Julieta gave her a hug and 'treat'. I don't need a treat, they're getting 5 stars from me too!

Yelp
I loved the food in the first month. But recently ordered Chicken Marsala with salad. The food was very bland, there was no taste to it whatsoever. No salt, no spice. The Chicken was a bit raw too. Its sad that the quality has reduced after a couple of months.
