Yelp
I have been wanting to try Del-Dio for years, seriously, but I have never been able to, until recently. Every time I asked someone who was somewhat reliable in their pizza knowledge, I would be directed to places without a great Yelp score, and that delayed my arrival... not that it matters anyway.
I was able to persuade the family to come out here, finally. We ordered subs, pasta dinners, and of course, pizza.
So, the subs were good, I'd definitively return for those, specially because they have fries, which is not a necessity, but it is a plus. We had chicken parmigiana and tuna salad. For our pasta dinner, we got an eggplant parmigiana, which was OK, nothing out of the ordinary, although the marinara sauce was good.
The main dish, for us, was the pizza. If you are an American, well, you have to know pizza. I think Americans eat more pizza than Italians, as a matter of fact. However, the pizza at Del-Dio was a strike out. I didn't like the dough, the cheese, and the pizza sauce was (...). I actually think one of the worse pizzas I have had...
The space is pretty cool, and interesting. If there was a cliche for shopping center restaurant, well, this is it. It's not old, it's not new, it's just 80's. Ahhh! The 80's are back!
Come here for subs, maybe dinners, and yes, they have pizza by the slice, which is rare nowadays. Seriously, looking for pizza by the slice totally dates you...
