We stopped in for the first time in years. Glad we did. The Stromboli was huge a delicious!! The manicotti was also very good! The cheese fries were ok. The ranch definitely not homemade. The service (female) was great! Very polite! We will definitely return!! Worth a try if you haven’t! The Stromboli looks burnt. I assure you it’s awesome!!

I always enjoy coming here, the pizza has such a delicious flavor that really sets it apart from anywhere else. This time, I had the opportunity to try the Flea Birria beer, and it was excellent! Full of rich, smooth flavor that paired perfectly with the meal. Definitely one of my favorite spots to relax and enjoy something different. Highly recommend!

Google
Yummy pizza!! I just ordered to pepperoni slices and the guy working today brought me a glass of iced water. That was very thoughtful since I didn't get a drink or ask for water. Thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻

It tastes like it was made by a grandma in an old kitchen with pots of marinara bubbling over. It’s fresh and flavorful and made my soul happy ♥️

Andrew Knotts

Google
Great spot for a late night slice or stromboli. It does take a minute or two for them to heat it in the oven, but the cheese and crust are perfect when they come out.

Google
I just googled to see if they still had the same operating hours and I’m so glad they do. They’ve been in the same location and have never let me down. Great attitude, hard workers, encouraging people who always deliver great pizza! See you guys tomorrow!!

Google
Orders via Slice app and my pizza was missing an ingredient (sausage) and the side order of knots were raw. Per support team, the store manager said he assured the sausage was put on and knots were freshly made. It can still be fresh and raw if it isn’t baked. Please see attached photos. No refund was available. I really loved this place but this experience literally put a bad taste in my mouth. Very disappointed.

Google
The customer services was great. Our food was freshly made to order . Their pizza give you a New York style pizza favor . The restaurant is located in the middle of Downtown Greensboro. The city has really upgrade downtown to a more family relaxed environment . I like how tables and chairs are available to dine outside to enjoy the weather . Good eats with reasonable prices . I would recommend to my family and friend .

Yelp
Okay I know my picture looks crazy because I was just trying something new lol but I absolutely loved this little experiment! I ordered a cheese pizza and asked him to put the chili sauce on top. At first I thought my decisions were very questionable but my taste buds thanked me! The owner helped me out and was very sweet. There are places to sit inside the restaurant but I took my slice to go. Can't wait for my next pizza kick so I can come back and do it all over. P.S. The ranch is a must!

Yelp
I've gotten pizza here, but it was picked up by someone else. So first time coming here myself. It's a narrow space, but clean. It reminds me of home (NJ). Once I saw that pops was behind the counter, I knew I was good to go! You can't go wrong with a seasoned soul with your food. I got a pepperoni slice, and a caprese slice. Both were soooo good. I ended up getting a half and half pie to go. The crust was Chicago style, but it wasn't undercooked, nor hard or burnt. It was perfect! Which was a great surprise since it was a very busy Friday night.

Yelp
Ordered takeout/delivery steak n cheese sub, fries, onion rings, Italian Wedding soup, calamari. Everything was delicious except the calamari. The calamari was not cooked done - could not eat it. I will have to cook it later as I do not want to waste it. I will eat there again but definitely not the calamari.

Yelp
So this is a small pizza spot that you could run across and miss if you weren't looking at it. I was hungry so I didn't miss it lol. They serve pizza by the slice which is what I was looking for. You have pizza and when you can pick from, and they make it to order. Well they have the pizza there and they heat it up to order sometimes as well. But either way it goes, it comes hot and fresh out of the oven. It's a small spot, maybe about 20 or so areas to sit at, so it's not the biggest but this spot gives them more of a carry out vibe. You know you go in there and you grab your pizzas and you head back out. There are tables to sit at though so don't make it seem like you don't have a chance to sit down if you want to. But the majority time that I was there, more people came in to pick up versus sat down. If I was in the area, it was really good, to get me from being hungry lol. It's right in the middle of the street so you really can't miss it, there's parking out front so it's a very convenient spot.

Yelp
I LOVED THIS PLACE!!!! My bestie took me and omggg I just fell in love with it I don't care if someone says I'm glazing I am a pizza lover and we were in the clouds and lemme just say that it hit the spot the last time I went I had gotten 2 big slices lol I wanted to get more but I didn't have much with me :(..... I liked the area too it was calm and there was tvs playing sports I think it was football it was chill in there and quiet not too loud. The service was great too the employees checked up on us to see if the pizza was good and if we liked it and they were very friendly to me and my friend.

Yelp
Everything goes well when we order from here. They follow my custom request for a crispy crust. Everything is fresh. Haven't had anything bad from here and we are regulars for 8 years now.

Yelp
Wow! It's been years since visiting the good ole faithful. I decided to drop in during a little night getaway in GSO and the faces are the same, the smell of the restaurant is greasy but it only increases anticipation of a nice HOT cheesy pizza. extra brownie points- While writing this review- the owner stopped and shared he remembered our faces after 8+ years ago and gave us a high five. Wow!

Yelp
The Buffalo Wings were okay. There was not a lot of sauce, which isn't always a bad thing. There was way too much breading on some of the wings though. There were still joints on some of the drumsticks, which leads me to believe they might separate the wings themselves which is cool. The Calzone was also just okay. The dough was soft and chewy, which is good if that is how you like your pizza dough. There was more ricotta than mozzarella which made it even squishier and prohibited the mozzarella from melting all the way. It wasn't the worst I've ever had but it wasn't the best either.

Yelp
Pizzeria LItaliano is a largest pizza brand in USA Veg Caprese/Calzone (8.95$) Veg calzone loaded with mushroom, tomato, spinach and cheese. It is not available on Thursday, Friday and sat after 10 pm. Quantity was more than sufficient. Parking Since this is on Elm street, street parking or you can park at parking lot near little brother Ambience and Service: They have indoor seating. The place is well maintained and clean. Service was okay, not so great. Self-served. They do offer delivery for $1.

Yelp
Pizzeria L'italiano is a great Italian restaurant in Downtown Greensboro. It is a casual dining place. There is a small seating area inside but most of the business seems to be to go orders from the counter. Customer service was very friendly and attentive. Pizzeria L'italiano offers many lunch specials. I went with the lasagna and that came with a side of garlic bread. The lasagna was delicious. The sauce was wonderful and it had lots of cheese!!! I will be back to try some of the other options on the menu although it will be tempting to order the lasagna again.

Yelp
Hubby and I were doing some Saturday errands and we decided to stop in. This was my favorite lunch time place to get a slice during work, but that was 13 years ago. Did it disappoint? Nope, same ole place, same ole person behind the counter, same great taste! This is the best place for a slice of caprese pizza anywhere. I even like it when the bottom of the crust is chard. That has happened and it is a chance you take. Food can be inconsistent, but today it was perfect. They also make the best eggplant sub south of Jersey.

Paul M.

Yelp
Ordered pizza slices for lunch with toppings....I ate at the restaurant, so I didn't carry out and things get cold....the slices were warm, but far from melty in any way.....its like they were placed on top of the oven...not in it.....and no sauce. I have had much better pizza...... nice people here...just not at a quality worth chasing down.

Felicia D.

Yelp
The best pizza in Greensboro! The crust was so delicious. The toppings were so fresh.

Yelp
It's trying to give folks in Greensboro a taste of NYC. But I'm pretty sure that the owners had to bend to the South a bit. For starters, there's room to dine in. Also, the pizza isn't like NYC pizza. It's not far off, though. But I will return. Again. And again. Because of the glorious cannoli.

Mai T.

Yelp
Hands down this is the best pizza in the entire city of Greensboro!!! The location is a diamond the rough, if you blink you'll miss it. But its worth looking out for. Pops delivers true New York style pizza, wings and Calzones so big 4 people could share!! This pizza joint is locally owned and operated. The hours of operation will satisfy hard working 9-5ers, and is such a better option for than Waffle House for those night goers needing something filling to help revive their energy! The inside of this restaurant reminds me of Manhattan! Cause like the big city, it may be a small place but it never gets over crowded here.

John S.

Yelp
This is one of the best places in Greensboro to get an authentic Italian pizza. The service is top rate and the owner is almost always present to see 2 the satisfaction of his customers. Just being in the environment and encountering normal people who are always eager to connect in an exciting place where all are welcome. Thank you, Mr. Proposito for all that you've done to bring quick and inexpensive lunches to the downtown area of Greensboro John
google avatar

Alona Y.

Yelp
HANDS DOWN the BEST pizza, chef salad, mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders in the East cost and we live in NJ! The owner is real born Italian, he KNOWS what he's doing!
google avatar

Salma M.

Yelp
Go to place in greensboro for pizza. The staff is lovely and everything is always fresh and delicious!

Yelp
You couldn't talk to the guy because he had his back turned, doing other things and it was loud. We couldn't hear each other so he started Shouting at me aggressively and then he cussed me out, "f*ck you", words like that. Do not step foot in here you have been warned.

Yelp
#ThankYouThursday2021 I thought I reviewed Pizzeria L'Italiano a few years ago but I am glad I did not You see, had I reviewed it in 2018 I might have given it 3 or 4 stars. Well fast forward to the pandemic (which is a theme in most of my later reviews) and something big changed. It's 5 stars. The pizza and food quality has gone way, way up! In fact, it's now our favorite New York-style pizza in Greensboro-displacing Tony's and Nostra. Nothing wrong with either of the others, it's just that as of late, the pies coming from Pizzeria L'Italiano, along with the highly recommended veggie stromboli, are fantastic! The only thing is you will wait for delivery as they are short-staffed as everyone is. Just the same, since we moved to Fisher Park, they have been our pizza of choice (and we did order Nostra and Tony's in that same time) and when you order --- ask for it to be well done. I will never understand why every bagel, bread, and pizza I order in the South is so lightly done/toasted. With all the business they were doing during the pandemic, they really, really upped their game. If you can't find a spot on Elm, try the side roads or the parking garage.

Yelp
i tried the Sicilian caprese pizza and just plain cheese pizza and they were amazing even after cooling down a little bit on the ride home, and its around the corner from my work amazing place

John M.

Yelp
This place is pretty bad, it's a hole in the wall ok. Ordered one slice of cheese, paid, got a call went to step outside and the owner started yelling at me about ordering and not paying. After I told him I paid and they confirmed then he "let" me go outside. (Pizza still in the oven) When I tried to eat the slice, picked up it flopped in half and all the cheese fell off. There was no crust on the $4.00 little slice. There are far better places around rather than bad pie and people being rude for no reason

Yelp
I live in Whisett, NC but had to drive to greensbroro for this amazing pizza. NY style pizza.

Allyn H.

Yelp
Super oily and not flavorful at all. The pizza was terrible and the salad was dripping water. So I guess one star bc they wash the romaine in the Caesar salad? Last time we ordered the mozzarella sticks which were also super oily and all the cheese had melted out into the container. Pizza wasn't as oily last time but also was rather bland. Overall two time losers and we won't order again. Oh - garlic knots, while also oily, were fairly tasty so I guess that justifies the one star. ‍

Yelp
Classic New York style pizza, ready in a few minutes, not too expensive, and the man who runs the place is lovely!
google avatar

Robbin S.

Yelp
Slow to deliver but food was good and hot. Delicious salad and pizza never disappoints.

Yelp
Really good pizza that hit the spot after a long day of driving. Would love to try their other pasta items next time through the area.

Yelp
According to the workers of this Rinky dinky pizza place it is known for drug addicts and alcoholics. As to one of them told me people die in there bathrooms often. If you aren't drinking or on drug I am not sure why you would eat here. I will say I will never step foot in that place again and that is mainly due to the staffing specifically who they call the "owner" (the shorter thin younger girl). She needs a few lessons on how to run a restaurant starting with how you treat people. After her breaking in the restroom I was in with no warning, no are you okay or even I am coming in. She swings the restroom door open and points to my friends to clean something up? I was washing my hands at the time of this and there was no mess. She assumed I was trashing her restroom; for what reason I am not sure. I also was not in there for even 5 mins. Then I had to calm my own friends down and ask for an apology. That was last weekend. But last night she must have been really embarrassed to see me again and when I said do you remember me her reply was yes and I remember apologizing with a very snappy attitude and could not even look me in the eyes. If I had any speculation I would assume she was the one on drugs for her overly werid behavior. After her snappiness I said damn I wish I would have made a bigger deal about it now. She then said take me to court! Why the hell do I want to take you to court I want to get my friends pizza who wanted to come in here. I told her I did not want to take her to court and left. Just overall very suspicious behavior. I hope she lets someone else take over seems like she needs some help.

Yelp
I love their pizza. If I am think Pizza downtown I think of them. The manager and owner are always friendly and remember what I like to order!

Yelp
My girlfriend and I individually grade our experience and add the two (2) scores together to get our overall average. Bae: 3 Crust was to hard, pizza was dry with no flavor. Walls are dirty. Has potential of being a good restaurant!!! Me: 3 The crust is store bought by "Members Marks" . The pizza was cold. Overall 3

Yelp
Ok. If I can rate it 3 1/2 , I would. Good customer service. Pizza was just ok. Too greasy in my opinion about 5 out of 10. Manicotti was solid 8, so was salad with no spoiled veggies. Thought would include some Italian bread like most places. Owner was friendly just wish pizza would have been better and good to buy small business. Also ran out of eggplant and was disappointed. Would go back to try other stuff on menu. Good downtown location.

Patricia W.

Yelp
This is the best pizza downtown and the spaghetti beats Olive Garden any day. Super nice friendly owner! We will keep going here!
google avatar

Erik S.

Yelp
I used to live downtown and ate here semi-regularly at normal meal times, but really... this place exists for the sole purpose of two things: 1. Feeding the downtown lunch crowd fast pizza slices 2. Feeding the late night bar-goers who just want to wash down their beer with some good ole fashioned cheesy goodness. That's it, really. I wouldn't go here for anything but a pizza or a stromboli. They do those things really well pretty consistently. Though there is a significant amount of variance in the food based on who is working usually. If pop is there, you're golden. If he isn't, might be hit or miss. With that being the case, its hard to rate this place more than an average three. I've had some nights where I want to crush an entire pie by myself, and some nights where the bottom of the crust is burnt, or the pie has been sitting out too long.
google avatar

Joan R.

Yelp
I love their pizza. I'm a new York transplant and this is the real deal pizzeria. I highly recommend their food. I haven't had anything that I didn't enjoy. I just wish parking was easier in the area.
google avatar

Tina W.

Yelp
Best pizza slices ever. Fresh, hot, great cook working there. Really enjoyed it and will be a returning customer!
google avatar

Nicholas H.

Yelp
Very nice hole in the wall spot in downtown Greensboro. The wife and I are here during our honeymoon in April and we each enjoyed a slice of pizza that was to die for! We shared an entree of spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce was a little on the sweet side but otherwise very delicious. Will be visiting here again the next time we are in town.
google avatar

Selena W.

Yelp
I've lived in Greensboro for a long time and loved this spot since the day I arrived as a broke college student. Today, I thought to treat the family to a special pizza night for New Years Eve so I called for delivery. The order arrived flawlessly but the food... the food was some of the worst pizza I've ever had! It was basically a pool of grease and a bright orange sauce that I'm not even sure had tomatoes in it. The mozzarella sticks we got were not even grocery store quality; they were mealy and flavorless and served with radioactive orange sauce. The wings were beyond dried out and also flavorless... not even salt. It breaks my heart because L'Italiano's was the top of my list for pizza joints in Greensboro. I would bring out of town friends there for late night meals and brag about their pizza competing with back home Jersey pizza. What happened?!?!? I likely won't be back but I hope they are able to regain their former glory.
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
After a hard day, I was in the mood for somewhere casual and filling. It was Pizzeria L'Italiano calling me. It you are from New York and want the taste of home, this is your place. This place is casual and service is pleasant. I went during the day, so my slices were served quick. It's been a while since I have dined here with the late night crowd. I went here craving a slice of pepperoni pizza. After savoring every bite of the first slice, I had to have another. The dough is cooked just long enough to perfect the right amount of crispness. Not hard nor soft. The pepperoni slices are big and crispy too. Just the way I like. Oh, and the cheese. Well, let's just say they definitely do not skimp on this. One thing is for sure, they know how to make and serve pizza. Go and give them a try!
google avatar

Anthony V.

Yelp
As far as pizza goes, they do it pretty good in my opinion. This place stays open late, so you can grab a slice after a night at the bar. The pizza is ready in a window, so when you walk in you tell them what you want and they pop it in the oven. About 3-5 minutes later your hot slices are ready. Ive eaten here a couple times and will return. Not to much else to say. Good pizza, suits me after leaving the bar.

Yelp
This is a little pizzeria in downtown Greensboro next to Crafted: The Art of the Taco. It's definitely one of few authentic NY style pizza places I have visited outside of NY/NJ so its a true delight to try the place out. I opted for a no frills cheese slice and bought a bottle of water to go with it. The place was fine, typical cafeteria style. It has been a while since I have been in NY/NJ, so it was a little like being back home. However, I found the price of my meal to be very expensive given the amount of food I was getting. It cost me about 5 dollars for my entire meal, which was a bit of a ripoff to tell you the truth. The size of my slice was not worth the money I paid for it. Also, the side salad and slice of pizza (with a soft drink) is only a dollar more, so if you want a quick cheap bite and all you want is a piece of pizza, you might be able to do better than this. Still, it's a solid place, if a little pricey for my taste.
google avatar

Frank H.

Yelp
Great pizza. I had a couple of slices of the meat lovers yesterday. I had a good conversation with the owner about the struggles during covid-19. The guy has a great attitude and makes great food. I'll be back.
google avatar

Holly U.

Yelp
Best slices since I moved here from NY. I used to frequent Mario's and Elizabeth's. But they can step aside for the closest thing to actual NY Pizza I have had since living up north. If you want true NY Pizza and the experience, eat here. If you want the best customer service, maybe go elsewhere. But who goes to a pizza joint for customer service?
google avatar

PlayaySol 5.

Yelp
The quality of ingredients, the pizza size and the fact that it is baked to perfection (not burnt) are the main reasons why I will continue to purchase pizza from this establishment. Truly authentic NY style and Sicilian pizza!!
google avatar

Deana H.

Yelp
Best Pizza in town by far. The staff is great and friendly. I highly recommend this place if you are downtown don;t miss out :)
google avatar

Nia T.

Yelp
I'm currently at this horrible establishment. They are literally bringing to food to the white customers and making the black customers walk to the FRONT OF THE STORE to get their food and it even all that.

Bret K.

Yelp
Best pizza in town. I eat here several times a week. All of the choices are fresh. Beer on the menu. Owner is very nice.
google avatar

Gary F.

Yelp
Pizza was very good, NY style. If you are in the mood for a slice, I'd recommend stopping in. The lunch special is 2 slices and a drink for $6.99. The pizza was cooked well and the crust had a nice crunch. The sauce was flavorful and the cheese melted over the side to form a short of cheese skirt that was tasty.

Lizzy R.

Yelp
We walked in, three people were working, and not one of them was wearing a mask. They were laughing and talking over the counter with a drunk customer (also not masked) about the COVID cases in Mississippi. The entry way is a very narrow hallway and as we turned around to leave, the mask-less customer squeezed in right beside us. Wish they would honor NC's mask mandate. Not safe.

Yelp
The order got to us an hour and 40 minutes !! The didn't bring us the drinks , the order was was missing all the notes we asked for . And the best thing we didn't get knife and fork so I needed to eat my meat balls with my hands so thank you for that experience....
