The Best Restaurants And Hotels In Copenhagen

"Copenhagen can feel like the furthest possible place from Italy when the unrelenting winter has offered just five hours of sunshine and three days without rain in a month. Despite this, Italian food and aperitif culture have rooted themselves in the Nordic city. After the stracciatella boom of the early 2000s, pizzerias have continued to pop up. Ma Me Mi is one of the newer options, making some of the lesser-known but arguably best slices in the city. The team here makes pizza using traditional Roman methods, including a blend of flours for the dough, and delicious if unexpected toppings like pork cheek and leek ash. There’s even a potato pizza, a version loved by Scandinavians and just about anyone else who tries it. And this autumn, you can try it at Rødder og Vin: bar in Nørrebro. The city’s best natural wine shop-cum-bar is collaborating with Ma Me Mi, so you can order your pizza to dine in with a glass of something funky." - sorcha mccrory

Fantastic pizza and warm hospitality! The pizza was absolutely delicious! fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall charm of the place. The tiramisu was a standout; rich, creamy, and simply superb. The cosy, inviting atmosphere made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back! Don’t forget to book your table in advance!

I recently visited Pizza Mamemi in Copenhagen, and while it was a pleasant experience, there were a few areas that didn’t quite meet expectations. For one, the meat options were somewhat limited — mainly pork, with no other varieties to choose from, which felt a bit restrictive for those looking for more variety. Additionally, the tuna pizza I tried was unfortunately served quite cold, which was a bit disappointing. On the positive side, my Funghi pizza with egg was fantastic. The combination worked really well, and it was seasoned to perfection. The pizza itself was a Roman-style pizza, with a thinner crust than the traditional Neapolitan pizza, which was nice for a change. But I prefer a thick dough. Ambiente - nice Italian place to be. Italian is spoken under the service and cooks - so very authentic The service was polite and friendly, but overall, I wouldn’t rate this place as one of the top 23 pizzerias in Europe. I’ve had better pizzas elsewhere, so while Pizza Mamemi is a solid choice for a casual meal, it didn’t quite live up to the hype.

This place has a nice atmosphere and friendly service, making it a pleasant spot for a meal. Space is limited between seats. We enjoyed the starters, which were well-prepared and flavorful. The pizza has an original style, which is something we appreciated, as it sets it apart from other pizzerias. However, we found it a bit fattier than we would have liked, which made it slightly heavier than expected. While the quality of the ingredients is good, the balance of flavors and textures didn’t fully meet our expectations. Still, the overall experience was positive, and the staff was accommodating and welcoming. It’s a good place to try, especially if you enjoy pizzas with a richer, more indulgent touch.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant, it truly felt like home in Rome! If you're a tourist looking for the perfect spot to experience genuine Roman hospitality and cuisine, this is the place to go. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the food is absolutely delicious, and the staff is incredibly kind and attentive. The soft yet crispy focaccia, the perfectly baked pizza, and the unmissable tiramisù made the experience even more special. Every dish was prepared with care and authenticity, making it a perfect place to enjoy real Italian flavors. I’ll come back for sure! :)

I love me some pizza… but I would absolutely prefer red sauce over a white pizza, but I went with a white pizza and this place delivered. Good crust and flavors. They had a couple draft beer options. I sat at the bar (good place for solo travel, I find!), I was able to make a reservation there online. Recommend to any lovers of pizza.

The place is really cozy and has a great atmosphere. I went with my friends, but it would also be a nice spot for a date. However, I think I set my expectations a bit too high since it's supposed to be one of the top European pizza places—or maybe I was just unlucky with my choice. I ordered the spinach and ricotta pizza, but the spinach tasted like it was frozen rather than fresh, and the overall flavor was quite bland. That said, the dough was excellent, which makes me want to give it another try with a different topping. My friends enjoyed their pizzas, but I wouldn’t recommend the one I had. For dessert, we tried the vegan panna cotta, which was so sweet that it made me feel a little nauseous.

It was nice, I would come here for a date! A cozy, romantic atmosphere with an excellent food. We tried pizza with 3 different cheese and tiramisu. Both were amazing. Also, if you want a glass of wine, there is no specific brand unless you prefer buying a bottle. However, it was nice. Generally, big portions, friendly staff. Thank you for cute woman who were responsible for us.

One of the best pizzas I’ve had in Europe. Hands down. My son did the margarita and I did the carbonara. Both really simple and delicious. Good prices. Quick and friendly service. Chill vibes and nice atmosphere. Small but good wine list. They have some outdoor seating as well. Will 100% return.

Yelp
I found this place on yelp and walked the mile from my hotel for dinner. I did not have a reservation (which you apparently need) but they managed to squeeze me in at the end of the bar (it was just me). The pizza was excellent. I also got crème brûlée for dessert and it was also excellent.

Yelp
This is an excellent pizzeria serving delicious food - opted for the tasting menu where they bring 6 appetizers (they gave us all 6 options) and then a pizza of your choice and lastly a desert of your choice! 5/5

Yelp
Amazing food paired with outstanding service. That is exactly what to expect at a good restaurant. It's a small place and it's highly recommended to reserve a table.

Yelp
It was an absolute pleasure! If you are into pizza, but want to try something above the usual, MaMeMi is the place to go. The crust is thin, Crunchy and very delicious as well as the toppings. I loved the cozy ambience and warm welcome from the staff. Definitely a place to return

Yelp
Not really pizza by American standards. I read the excellent reviews and this café was close to out hotel so we decided to try it. We went earlier in the evening without a reservation. The staff was seemed surprised but nonetheless excellent and attentive. It, at first, seemed like there was just too many wait staff there but later on we could see the necessity to provide proper service. The menu is kind of this weird notebook, like something a kid would put together if they were playing restaurant(who would play that anyway). The menu is somewhat limited but we selected two different pizzas. The offerings were indeed different and later explained by our server, Roman Style. Ingredients such as speck, goat cheese, eggplant (we had to explain to the fellow countryman, a young American, and his friend that Aubergine was Eggplant as they were confused) and potatoes were some of the varied ingredients. The "pizza" came out hot and both were larger than we expected. One probably would have sufficed. Neither had tomato sauce on it. Of course, we had wine and the wines were hand selected by the owner and certainly not mainstream. I had read the owner was a transplant from Italy (as did the wait staff appear to be) and a bit of a wine connoisseur. The Chianti and the bold red, which variety I cannot remember, were excellent and had healthy size pours. Very delicious and filling the tastes melded well and were satisfying. Prices were more than reasonable (especially for expensive Copenhagen). As we ate, the restaurant became increasingly more crowded and busy. Quite the popular place. The décor is nothing out of the ordinary but the restaurant was comfortable and relaxing.
