We held our toddler’s birthday party here. The staff were super accommodating, friendly, and responsive. The venue was large enough to fit 19 folks - mixture of kids and adults. The playground was great for the kids to play. Would recommend this venue for other parents.

Just happened to drive by Paradiso and decided to stop for a lite meal. Ordered the New Year's 4-Pork Special 12" pizza with pepperoni, salami, sausage, basil, asiago, and mozzarella cheese, minus the prosciutto (cutting down the salt intake) You can taste the spices in the red sauce. The pizza is not overwhelmed with cheese, but the cheese combination is delicious. The crust was lite and crisp. It was piping hot and stayed relatively hot to warm as we enjoyed this deliciously wood-fired pizza, with nothing left but crumbs. We paired it with the Homebrew award winning Paradiso Dunkelweizen beer, a nice Mellow taste. Great for a non-beer connoisseur. Okay, great corner location with free parking lot next door and street parking. Nice decor with plenty of seating inside with full panel glass doors that open to the patio during the hot summer days. Covered patio seating outside in front and side of building. Bar seating inside and outside as well as a heated tent. This location is handicap accessible. Mon-Tues closed. Wed-Thurs 4-9pm and Fri-Sat 1-9pm. Paid $43 for two drinks and pizza. The staff are welcoming. David our server was very attentive. Will return to sample other items on the menu.

Great for kids! Our waiter greeted us as we parked our bikes, and the well-fenced outdoor playground let kids play while I waited for pizza (and sipped beer).

The stars are for the beer and the service cause those were great! but the food… nah it was okay and not worth the money. To be more specific the crust was fine but there was little to no sauce, the cheese would fall off and the toppings tasted like they’ve been sitting in the fridge for a while….

Finally got to visit this wonderful place and my family was not disappointed. Great food and customer service was out of this world. I have always love the diversity that Hyattsville brings, people from all walks. Must visit and it is kid friendly!

A playground doesn’t equal kid friendly if you never get your food. MAKE SURE THEY HAVE PUT IN YOUR FOOD ORDER. We went right at opening time, and were one of the first people seated. Our waitress took our appetizer order and never came back for our dinner order. My husband had to go ask someone to take our dinner order. 40 minutes later he went to ask again - nobody had put in our order. The manager came and said we would get a big discount (it should have been fully comped). We ordered again, to go, and then waited another half hour (our order should have been the top priority at that point). As someone who has worked in food service, the whole thing should have been handled better after the mistake. An entire table was seated, ate, paid, and left during the time we were waiting for our food.

Yelp
Updating my earlier review. Hubby and I returned for dinner on a weeknight, where we ordered in- garlic knots, Paesana pizza, and a beer (don't remember which one). Total came out to approximately $51. What's hot - Quality. Delicious. Their pizza definitely has a slightly spicy kick from the pesto. The pizza was warm, flavorful, and served fresh. The cheese was deliciously gooey and not too oily, nor too salty. Their crust is not the most substantial, but when served fresh, still holds up well. Their garlic knots are probably the best I've ever had- great texture, flavorful, and size. It's essentially a fresh baked garlic bun. The texture is warm, soft, pillowy, and holds well together. You can taste the fresh garlic that is warmed in butter and baked into the crevices of the knots, but they're not drenched in butter. - Menu variety. Something for everyone, except maybe vegans (as I'm uncertain whether they use vegan cheese). There are salads, pizza, calzones, and desserts. - Service. Awesome. Not only are they timely, but they're responsive. I was finishing the last garlic knot, when one of their staff took the plate. She asked me how I liked it and I told her how their tomato sauce is a wonderful complement to the garlic knots. She saw our little bowl of sauce was empty and asked me if I'd like a refill. I appreciate how I didn't have to ask, especially because I wasn't planning on asking for more sauce. How awesome is that? - Portions. Good value for money. We ordered a large pizza, which comes out to 8 slices, which was enough to fill me and my husband up. Their garlic knots are also a substantial size, as well. - Cleanliness. Well kept and maintained. - Full disclosure. There are little table signs explaining they charge 20% for dine service charge and 14% for take-out service charge. Not only is there a table sign, but there's a little sign that comes with your receipt, and their staff told us when they brought us our tab. They don't hide the ball. It's great to see this charge is going to supporting running the restaurant, which includes their staff, as well. What's not - Parking. This area is not the easiest to find parking. It's there, but be prepared to spend time finding it depending on the day and time you come. Final answer Definitely planning on returning and well worth it.

Yelp
Friday so a little crowded, but could use more staff inside a little small. Plenty of outside dining. Ordered big pie which would small over on earth one. Crust was good so good l almost didn't noticed no sauce that is saying something. No way will it replace my go to for pie. So l would give this place a 3 star rating.may go again but not anytime soon

Yelp
A calm Sunday night was capped off with Pizza. One thing I like about this pizzeria, is how charities are recognized and money is donated in a tasty fashion. I ordered the Boom! Roasted Special Pizza which supported the No Kid Hungry charity. The pizza had Birreria tomato sauce, Roasted onions, Roasted sweet peppers, Cherry peppers, Pepperoni, Buffalo Mozz, with garnished Arugula. The buffalo mozzarella, provided a nice kick and the pizza was tasty. I also ordered the October Harvest Pizza (Pizza of the month): Apples, Brussels sprouts, portobello mushrooms, red onions, thyme and cheddar cheese. The balance of flavors were perfect and the apples really took the pizza up a notch. The pizzas were ready on time and the ambiance was lively when I walked in. Treat yourself!

Yelp
Very sold pizza. Nice place to have dinner. Appreciate vegan cheese and lots of yummy toppings. I think the crust and sauce are good. Dough might need a touch of salt. Vegan cheese is good for sure.

Yelp
Finally had a chance to stop in here during a Trolley Trail Pub Crawl. The food was great! The wings were great and the pizza was super delicious! The drinks paired well and were very balanced! Definitely have to go back more often to get it again! Loved the service and ambiance!

Yelp
My first experience with Pizzeria Paradiso was ions ago when I worked in Georgetown. I would walk the 3 or so blocks to go to the joint. The pizza there was always thin, airy and crispy and true to form the dough is still the same. We opted for pizza today and the Hyattsville establishment didn't disappoint. Crust was crunchy where it should be and yet doughy at the same time! So good! Toppings of sausage, mushroom and jerk chicken took it over the top! I probably could have eaten the entire 12 inch on my own but the better half was with me so... Please check it out! Pizza came out lickety split and the service was great (20% service charge is automatically added but we would have left him that anyways).

Duane E.

Yelp
The pizza is absolutely amazing. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. The wings are great too. The have a homemade bleu cheese dip that compliments them perfectly.

Yelp
Excellent pizzeria, these folks run a nice ship! The pizza and Beer was very good, Plus the outdoor seating was wonderful, We brought our little rug Rat along and she loved it! Def check them out

Yelp
Cute lil spot. Got a half and half pizza ( Bosco and Sisicliana). Beautiful pizza but BLAND - there was hardly ANY sauce on it! Very disappointed. Dry cider - tasty Disappointed by the lack of flavor or the pies. Perhaps we'll return in the future and ask for extra sauce.

Yelp
Good pizza, but overpriced. What's worse is you pay the same price even if you order it without meat or cheese because of dietary restrictions. Why? You get less and it costs them less but you still pay the same. Not worth it. Good service, nice ambiance but the price ain't right -- it's wrong!

Monique' M.

Yelp
Picked up some pizza to nom on while enjoying company at Streetcar 82 Brewing Co. I ordered the 9 inch whole wheat Bosco with vegan mozzarella. The pizza was fresh, made to order and served hot. I added some red pepper flakes. It was good. I'm not a pizza-person but I have no complaints on the quality of food.

Catourey R.

Yelp
After the owner reached out to me about my experience and offered me a gift card, i decided to revisit this establishment. I placed my order over the phone and was pleasantly surprised that the employee had heard about my previous experience and my gift card was available as promised! I usually don't give places a second chance but I'm a sucker for great customer service and that's is exactly what I got! Now let's get to the food! I order a simple cheese pizza with tomatoes and mozzarella and no oil. My pizza was hot and ready when I picked it up and it smelled so good I had to eat a slice in the car. I was not disappointed, the pizza was simply delicious! I will be back!

Yelp
I've been in DC for two decades, and somehow I've never made it to Pizzeria Paradiso. Until tonight, and now I regret what I missed all these years. Wow. When was the last time you went to a pizza place and raved about a salad? Well allow me to rave about the insalata Romano. And the pizza? My goodness, best in DC. Maybe the best I've ever had. Stunning, wonderful, I could have eaten six by myself. Go here, now, and have as much of a wonderful time as I did.

Donyiel C.

Yelp
Didn't know this place was here until a friend suggested it for dinner. He had been here once and enjoyed the pizza. I'm very picky when it comes to pizza, but he assured me that I would enjoy Pizzeria and he was right! We ordered a large Paesana pie (see pic) and it was more than enough to share for two. The smaller pies are like a personal pan size and if I was hungry enough, I'd crush one by myself. I tried the Happy Trees Cider (on draft) and it was very good - not too sweet. My friend got some kind of stout beer and he loved it. You definitely would pass this place driving on Rhode Island Avenue, but they're here so come check them out. I'm all about hidden gems and this place is certainly that! There is limited parking in the front and the back of the restaurant, but don't let that deter you. There is happy hour here and I'd come back to check that out. Gretchen was super friendly and we enjoyed chatting with her.

Nessa R.

Yelp
Cute! I've driven past this so many times! First we are the pizza family, we love love love love some pizza! Milo! Oh how I love thee!!! Super amazing service from Milo! I sure hope I spelled that right. If you ever read this, thanks for making our Sunday, quick as we needed it to be. You Rock! So the meatballs!!! Meatballs, meatballs you are the bomb! You make love in my tummy and are so yummy! You're fresh and you can tell that there isn't any frozen thing about you! I'm in meatball heaven! Is that a place? I'm sure it is. So the truth is, we came on a Monday the first time coming here. Just my son and I. Service was just okay. I thought I was getting super great service the second time around because of my mediocre yelp but I was surprised to see that I had not yet left my stamp of approval. The first visit was equally as good as the first but the service lacked. Our waitress somehow disappeared and I never saw her till I walked out, the other girls had to help me to check out. I still tipped well. They looked young and well, everyone has to eat. The second visit we came back for the family special. A foodie loves a meal deal! 2 pizzas and 3 apps for $55. Ummmmm SCORE! Bill still comes out more with drinks but I love that I can budget this in every Sunday. You're thinking, every Sunday! Yup, pizza is that good! Every Sunday!!! It's my spot! Milo is my new found friend and well it's the spot to be! Take my word and thank me later!!!!

Khoi N.

Yelp
Very surprised when this chain opened up in Hyattsville. Ive been to their sister Dupont location and this one does not disappoint. Food here is fresh and comes out rather quickly. Happy hour is only Tuesday and Wednesdays from 4-7. Drinks, apps and pizza are discounted. I love the food and service here. There is an open concept here. My friends and I ordered the Bosco and Siciliana pizzas. Great vegetarian options! I did see many of the other diners opt for the Di Mare and traditional Margherita. They have a large glass window that opens up which is perfect for people watching. Seating is preferably for small parties. This location definitely doesn't disappoint and lives up to the name. Finally a great artisan pizza spot with additional Italian dishes on the menu in the area!

Linda O.

Yelp
This is an important, quality addition to the neighborhood. I've liked everything so far. The Napoletana pizza is my fav however there's a bunch to choose from. I appreciate the antipasti offering where customers get to choose 3 items from a list--roasted broccoli rabe and various cured Italian meats that are possibilities are nicely prepared. The daily list of beers is dandy. The staff tries hard. My only struggle is with the asking amounts. I visit during Happy Hour as a result.

Tanika M.

Yelp
First time trying this place. Ordered for delivery via door dash. I was shocked to open the box at the poor quality. I ordered a Marghettia pizza with prosciutto. They treated the prosciutto like it was bacon - crispy. Little sauce. Mostly dough. I'm surprised and disappointed

Jacob T.

Yelp
Great service, great pizza. Arguably some of the best pizza crust I've had in the USA or Italy. The decor was adorable and it would be a mistake to not go back! Very impressed overall.

Len S.

Yelp
Stopping on the way home from DC. We were looking for a good wood fired pizza. We checked out yelp and found there were three locations and we could GPS them into our route. We choose Pizzeria Paradiso Called ahead for reservations and were told that we would have no problem getting a table on a Sunday evening. We arrived and were greeted and placed at a very nice table. Very friendly staff. We told the server we wanted a good Margarita pizza. She told us we will definitely enjoy theirs. Margarita pizza should have full basil leaves on each slice. They do it different here. Not only did they have a full basil leaf on each slice they had chiffonade of basil spread out over it. This was a nice touch. Pizza was cooked just the way we like it. Hope to stop in on our next trip south.

Odell M.

Yelp
Stay away from this PLACE!!! I just left this restaurant less than 30 minutes ago. The customer service of the young lady serving us was minus 5 stars. For transparency purposes I really felt as if we were not wanted at this establishment. The young lady was extremely dismissive throughout our entire 20 minute visit. There is an art to customer service. No one should pay for sub par service. We felt unwanted and ignored. However I do have a bright spot. If you leave this establishment and go just 5 minutes into the art district of Hyattsville there is a restaurant called Franklins with the same if not better menu and the pizza was awesome. Ask for Grace and never pay for terrible service again.

Chuq Y.

Yelp
Returned on Sunday night to try the pizza. We sat at the inside bar. The restaurant was fairly well packed for a Sunday night. We waited a while to get served drinks but there was only one bartender on staff. We ordered the insalata bietola (beet salad) to start and then a large pizza half Atomica and half Bosco with their own lamb sausage added. The salad tasted very fresh. You could taste the onion, spinach, walnuts and beets independently in each bite while the citrus vinaigrette pulled it all together. A very good salad for a warm Sunday evening. Both halves of our pizza were delicious. The mosaic-ed brick oven does a great job at getting to a high enough temperature to crisp up the curst. The Atomica was not as spicy as say, another local pizza place's Fire and Smoke, but that's fine. They are a totally different style of pizza from each other. Pizzeria Paradiso's crust is crispy, thin and worth every bite. The center of the pizza can be a little limp from all the moisture of the ingredients, but that happens most places. It had a little bit of a kick and was salty and hearty. The Bosco side was a much lighter pizza topping combo, even with Paradiso's lamb sausage crumbled on top. The sausage was very pleasant, gently spiced and not gamey nor overly greasy. It tasted earthy, which hit the spot. We ended up eating most of everything save for one slice which we brought home wrapped in foil inside of a bag. Overall, the service was a little bit slow at times, but the staff was friendly and I'll definitely be coming back here for the pizza, salad, extensive beer selection and atmosphere.

David M.

Yelp
When you first opened we were excited having just moved from DC. The first experience was great and the business was busy. Second time horrible all the way around so we didn't come back. Third time two years later we thought hey let's try it again. I said to my husband "the service can't still be bad". Boy was I wrong. I don't need to go into detail on this review. Too bad because the pizza is good.

Richard C.

Yelp
Happy! Good prices, good food, friendly staff great service! Great location, clean and restroom also very clean!

Winkd L.

Yelp
my kids love the pizza. great place for famillies to eat, friendly staff. the wings are so good and so is the pizza.

Anna H.

Yelp
First time here, delish any pizza lovers out there must try this place. Fresh and poppin' ingredients.

Sequoia E.

Yelp
The pizza was so dry and stiff! It was like eating cardboard. It's a good thing that I had a bottle of water on hand because I needed that to wash down this "pizza".The wings were okay.It said that it came with blue cheese but I didn't see that when I opened the bag.I'll avoid this place in the future for better options in the area.

Jay W.

Yelp
Mid pizza with pompous pricing. If that's your thing then by all means go ahead. If good service is defined by just the existence of employees being present, then I guess that's good too.

Frank D.

Yelp
Their Pizza is good, but the prices are just completely absurd, out of this world. We paid $65 for two pizzas and a salad the other night! You obviously are not paying for the pizza but for some other aspect of their business that isn't working or something. We'll find someplace else around here.

Angela A.

Yelp
I love this place and have been here many times. The food is always tasty. However, tonight was disappointing service wise, especially given that there's an automatic 20% service fee. There were 5 waiters working and 2 came by, one to take our order and another to bring out the drinks. That was the last we saw of them. My mom and I sat there waiting for 20 min for a refill on our drinks while the pizza was sitting there getting cold. This definitely was a bad look for the business since again, there is an automatic service fee. How can you have 5 waiters working in a small venue and they don't even come back around to check on how the food was or if we needed anything? Also, my mom had to wave the one waiter down after we had waited the 20 min since no one even looked our direction. If someone could please give more training to the staff to check on the customers at least every 10-15 min, that would be helpful. On a positive note, as always, the food was delicious!

Yelp
Its aiight..... Cute little spot. Im a big pizza and french fries foodie. I always can eat a slice of pizza. I just really havent found that spot thats like.. Dear Lordt- Im on my way! Service was quick stopped by after work one day ordered 4 pizzas- spent $80 bucks. Cant recall what I ordered because of the fancy names today . The gentleman that assisted helped, me with what I could not pronounce. He was there for me. Thank you so much for your support, patience, and kindness. Did I mention it was raining- he was so kind to meet my son at the entrance with the boxes. So service by far awesome and the best. Lets talk about the crust- it had a crisp but soggy dough. So close to the center the dough looses all the toppings but closer to the crust it had more of a crisp but chewy texture. Ill post pics of the pizza. Taste- again everyone is on their health kick for the millennium era including myself so I get it. However, when I want a pizza, I WANT A PIZZA- precisely why I keep that Fleischmans on the shelf. I want someone to throw my neck back and put some seasoning on the crust, sauce and the toppings. Im taking home to the hubby Ill post his thoughts because I tend to be a picky eater. By the way I was really hungry.... you know when you "HUNGARY" you have super exceptionally high expectations. Another visit Ill bring the Seasoning and some cheese- not the fancy gouda- goat and all the other cheeses- Im stopping at Eagles (old Iowa grocery store) to get some cheese Again Im working to patronize my County and keep those who live within my Counties communities employed( if that makes sense). I hope others understand and share in my goal. You get tired of driving 30-45 min for good food. A nice little place to have a beer and eat a piece of pizza.... Prince Georges County needs great restaurants! My hubby didn't like it- he asked me which lets me know we are on the same page.

Jill S.

Yelp
I am so glad they're finally open in Hyattsville! This 4th location of the local wood fired pizza and craft beer chain is a partnership with ArtWorks, supporting local artists and also providing a cool space to get good craft beer and pizza. A bright patio sits outside, with a 5-seat bar that has a big open window to the indoor bar. Inside, they have several tables for diners, a larger bar, and a "sunny" blue and gold mosaic art pizza oven. The menu of appetizers, salads, panini, and pizza, includes many vegetarian options and even a gluten free pizza crust. They opened their first weekend with all 16 taps pouring beer from 16 different Maryland breweries and a specialty pizza topped with crab. Although they were pretty busy, the general atmosphere was friendly and upbeat, with a good local neighborhood crowd.

Mo O.

Yelp
Wow, is this ever NOT your average pizza and beer joint! This is truly wonderful pizza -- top quality gourmet toppings and a tasty, fresh crust. I can't seem to go a week without a visit; I've had a half dozen different pizzas and they seem to be getting better each time. My only complaint would be I have learned to get an extra topping or two or double a topping because I find the amount is too skimpy for my liking. That means a 12" pizza costs me about $30 by the time I pay $21 for the "normal" pizza, and $3 for each of 2 extra toppings. Still, you do get two meals out of it and it is addictively good every single time! Topping choices are really outstanding including pancetta, sweet red pepper, roasted eggplant and roasted garlic. I plan to work my way through them all. They seem to have a terrific selection of beers from all over the world so you can definitely get adventurous with your selections. Service is quick and friendly and the atmosphere is fun. Not a cheap pizza and beer night but definitely a most delicious one!

The only reason why I'm writing this review is because I received a burnt pizza today. Whoever made this pizza, please be aware of your oven. I love going to this pizza place. I've been here a couple times and the pizza is cooked to perfection. But tonight I was very disappointed. I didn't say anything to the server because I understand that they were busy. But I'd rather have waited 30 more minutes to get a better pizza than I had today.

Yelp
I love this place, but unfortunately it's it or miss when it comes to the quality of the pies. I really wish they would be more consistent. When I eat in the restaurant it's spot on. When it's delivery, you never know what you might get. Today was definitely a miss.

Yelp
You know that frustrating feeling when you set out to have a cheat meal and then it completely misses the mark. Ugh. Sadly that happened. I ordered the Macellaio pizza, wheat crust, added spinach. It was oddly salty! That ruined it for me. Sort of salty and also otherwise lacking flavor. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I should have just had a salad. Tah well.

Yelp
I love Paradiso! I travel from the Baltimore to enjoy their pizza. Their pizza is freshly made with quality ingredients. Not as greasy as other places I have visited for pizzas. The staff is helpful and eager to please. A great place!

Yelp
Cozze e gamberi (seafood appetizer) and Paesana pizza were good. The cozze dish was large, but the food was pretty standard, nothing special about them. Except for the potatoes, which I thought were delicious. But I would've liked the seafood to shine more, you know... The Paesana pizza was all right, but there wasn't anything memorable about it at all. The crust was slightly burnt, so it was harder than I would've liked. I care a LOT about the texture and softness of bread, and the crust wasn't what I was looking for. My friend and I ordered a small size for the pizza, and it was definitely enough for us, with the appetizer included. Service was nice. Overall, decently nice food, but nothing remotely special about them to make me want to go there again.

Yelp
Was looking for a good spot for dinner and stumbled upon this place. The appearance outside was very charming and appealing. Was sat immediately- friendly staff and beautiful decor inside. Ordered a beer and a pizza. Fantastic beer selection of local crafts. The pizza was delicious- very fresh and light with a great crust. Would recommend this place to anyone in the area- a great, Affordable meal.

Yelp
So after seven months I had to return to see if the service and food was still excellent or just a fluke. Well it wasn't, for months my daughter has been begging me to go back and last night 3/21/19 we returned we tried the Macellaio and the Cozze E Gamberi and let me just say my daughter loved both as well as I did. The Pale Ale public DC brau was excellent as well. Two trips months apart five stars both times why wouldn't I go back.

Yelp
This is probably one of my FAVORITE pizza spots in the DC/MD/VA area. The staff is welcoming. They always keep the place neat and clean. Their pizza is amazing! They offer so many great options. Also a great spot for people that are vegan!

Yelp
I am a pizza lover. I lived in New Haven, CT, for several years, and the pizza there spoiled me. That said, any time a new pizzeria opens up, or when I'm in a new place with a pizzeria that catches my eye, I have to try it. My wife and I tried Pizzeria Paradiso a few nights ago, and I have to say that it pleased me. She had been there with friends before and thought that it served my kind of pizza, so I had to try it out. We shared a Genovese and a Macellaio -- the first has pesto and potatoes, and the second is a normal red sauce pizza with pepperoni, sausage, and onions. Both were excellent! The potato pizza was not exactly what I am used to, which normally has mashed potatoes, but the sliced potatoes were very nice. The pepperoni and sausage pizza was also great, and I'm glad we got it in addition to the first pizza since one would not have been enough for both of us. The crust is thin and not too firm, and slices can be folded if needed -- just as a pizza should be. We were there on a Friday evening but had no problem getting a table. It was definitely busy, but there seemed to be a steady flow of people in and out so that no one had to wait very long for a table. If you haven't been, check them out. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Paradiso the restaurant was refreshing, the details were memorable, turning the curb on a limited parking lot I discover a hidden passage, it was illuminated by soft white lights in a straight line that guided me up into a back space with beautiful dwarf pines and a large maple tree, I parked underneath it. The darkness left the landscape to your imagination, ignorance is blissful but I wish it was daylight so I could see more of the surroundings. On the short walk to the interior we passed a closed art studio, and interesting setups to the street side. I found the walk very charming, metal angel wings fused to the fence for picture addicts and a glass windows to orient your feel for the modest place. Once inside, I made sure to pick the perfect table, we did. My date was so hungry I had to order in a panic but I didn't regret the choices I made; one half of a large Sicilian style pizza and the other half witch I can't remember right now because of the panic. The food made my day. The delicious craft beer helped me forget my modern slavery. Good service. I will come again.

Yelp
I came in this past Tuesday with my dog and just wanted to quickly get someone's attention to order carryout then go outside to wait. Hyattsville is a VERY dog-friendly city and I've seen people eating here with dogs before on the patio so I didn't think walking just inside the door to try and catch someone's attention was going to be a problem. When I walked in there were only two other patrons and neither of them batted an eye at me being in the doorway carrying my 6 lbs. dog. After standing there for a while being ignored by two staff members a woman comes out saying I need to take "that animal" outside. I understand health codes and attempted to explain I was trying to get someone's attention to order carryout and this woman starts using her own body to physically hustle me outside! I try again to explain I'm just trying to get someone's attention to order carryout and she says "OBVIOUSLY I'M BUSY. So you can just take a menu and WAIT." By this time she's physically forced me out of the door, and I said never mind and walked away. I'm an assault survivor and having someone get in my personal space like that, yelling at me and pushing their own body against mine, was a triggering experience that could easily have been avoided if this staff member had practiced some maturity, self-control, and common human decency. Because of this experience I'll never go back to this place again. I can go to Franklin's a block away for delicious pizza and the staff there is incredibly friendly. I can also go to Busboy's & Poet's just down the street for actual dog-friendly dining. I live in this neighborhood and used to come here almost once a week but I won't be giving any more of my money to a place that treats people this way.

Yelp
Look at your bill before paying a tip. They charge 20% dine in fee automatically. They manager said something like because the staff is underpaid, we'll pay them more or charge even more for your ok pizza and pay your employees better. The place is dirty too. My water has some crap in it that I could see from the bathroom. Only good thing was the bread was only 75 cents. I would definitely never eat here again. Go to Coal Fire for probably $6 cheaper. Heck go to Dominos or Papa Johns and not worry about paying extra.

Yelp
I love this place. I eat from here way more often than I would like to admit. But it is delicious.

Yelp
I'm late writing this review, as always. We decided to check out the restaurant a couple of months ago and now that I think of it, I can't explain why we haven't been back. After we ate we *said* we have to come back. So, some details. We were very hungry when we went in and ordered the antipasti: artichokes, salami, buffalo mozzarella (no buffaloes were harmed to make this cheese) for an appetizer so we wouldn't gnaw on the table or anything. For the main course we had the Farewell to Summer pizza. Normally I am Queen of Boring when it comes to pizza. I want red sauce, some sort of cheese, standard toppings. Aside from the tomatoes, the FtS pizza is the opposite of traditional: There was shrimp, there was corn (yes, corn) there was arugula and lemon pesto. Fortunately I was feeling adventurous and we ordered it and then we devoured it. The end!
