Pizzeria Paradiso Aims to Donate 10,000 Pizzas to Healthcare Workers and Families in Need | Eater DC

"Restaurateur Ruth Gresser is setting a goal to donate 10,000 pizzas to children and families in need and frontline workers to help the D.C. community during the coronavirus pandemic. Starting tomorrow at 11:30 a.m., Pizzeria Paradiso will distribute 300 individual pizzas in Hyattsville in conjunction with Real Food for Kids: Chefs Feeding Families and Art Works Now to help families impacted by closed schools; children and adults served will receive a vegetable and whole grain crust pizza and an Art Works Now MANDALA Coloring Sheet. This distribution will continue every Thursday for the next ten weeks, while supplies last, and the Pizzeria Paradiso team also plans to distribute 200 pizzas to senior citizens in Hyattsville, 125 pizzas each to Children’s Hospital and GW Hospital, and 250 pizzas to Hook Hall Helps, which supports workers experiencing loss of hours or employment during COVID-19." - Adele Chapin
