Italian eatery serving wood-fired pizzas & rustic pastas in a casual, contemporary space.
"The pizzas at this UWS spot have thin, crispy crusts with toppings like clam and crumbled sausage, and they’re the perfect size for when you want to eat a full 360 degrees of pie by yourself. Each costs around $20 - but during Happy Hour (from 5-7pm), a few are $12, and there are discounted drinks and small plates as well. If you want to take advantage of this, get here on the early side, since seats fill up quickly. Your parents think you finish work at 5pm anyway." - Hannah Albertine
"Pizzeria Sirenetta is from the same people behind The Mermaid Inn (which is right next door), and the pizzas here are some of the best in the neighborhood. They have thin, crispy crusts with toppings like clam and crumbled sausage, and they’re the perfect size for when you want to eat a full 360 degrees of pie by yourself. They’re all around $20 - but during happy hour (from 5-7pm), a few are $12, and there are discounted drinks and small plates as well. "Pizzeria Sirenetta is a pizza place on the Upper West Side from the same people behind The Mermaid Inn. Each pie here is large enough to feed one person for dinner, and there are also a few pastas and mains (like veal milanese), plus a perfectly good kale salad and a bunch of other small plates. Get a table in the little dining room, or sit on the front patio when they open up their big garage-door windows in the summertime. While this place doesn’t quite crack our top-20 pizza list, you should still be eating here if you live in the neighborhood - and do your best to stop by at Happy Hour, when all the pizzas are $12.50 and a few drinks are discounted as well." - Bryan Kim
