A fantastic spot for great food (particularly pizza) and similarly great service. It was quite busy when I arrived, however there was seating at the bar. I had a drink in hand very quickly. I ordered the Calamari to start. The calamari was good, and went well with the marinara and cocktail sauces. The portion was perfect, and priced very reasonably. I also ordered their personal size "Numero Uno", which was easily the highlight of the meal. The personal size deep dish was more than enough, and I ended up having leftovers. The pizza itself was fantastic, the quality and quantity of toppings spot on and the flavors truly exceptional. Overall, I had a great dining experience and would say its worth a stop in. Of particularly note, I'd like to thank the bartender, Joey, for his services managing the bar which was very busy, and also ensuring my drink was full and my needs met. Thank you!

Pizzeria Uno is the first place in Chicago to offer deep dish pizza since 1943. The pizza was delicious. The cheese and all the toppings were so good and fresh. The crust was very unique and had great flavor. The guy taking care of us did an amazing job. He was so nice and helpful. Pizzeria Uno is definitely a must stop when in downtown Chicago!

We visited uno twice. First time there were a 30 minute wait, which was worth it. You order the pizza first, then get a table. The first time we ordered the small cheese deep dish and added chicken as additional ingredients. This was amazing and they put on a lot of chicken. The crust was really crispy. The workers were really friendly too. The second and last time we ordered the small cheese deep dish and added chicken and bacon this time as additional ingredients. This was even better than first time, and again a lot of each ingredients. The waiter even remember us from the first time, which was lovely. You can even get refills on the soda, this was useful. A small pizza is enough for two people. We really recommend Uno if you are going to try deep dish for the first time.

I grew up on the chain, so when I saw the ORIGINAL PIZZERIA UNO while visiting, I had to stop by. Definitely loved the ambiance of the parlor bar vibes and booths. Everyone was super chill and down to earth, service was great. Pizza was definitely better than I remembered, sauce yummy and crust was perfect! Would highly reccomend when in Chicago.

YES!!! This is the birthplace of the Chicago deep dish pizza! I've been going to Chicago for 10 years and never stopped by UNO Pizzeria for some reason. In 2024, my friend who lives and loves Chicago invited me to go to UNO (he knows my love for deep dish pizza). Ladies and gentleman, after 10 years of deep dish experience, I found the real deal! It is one of the best pizzas I have ever had! And trust me, I have eaten pizzas across the country and even in multiple different countries. No place is like UNO! I got the meat lovers and it was just SO GOOD!!! Next day, I went back! I ordered the same pizza but this time with an order of meatballs, mozzarella sticks, and even a piece of their chocolate cake (don't judge me... it was delicious!) You may say that my beer choice was not adequate (Guinness) but you can't say anything about my food order because it was spot on! Don't wait 10 years like I did! Go and experience the historic UNO Pizzeria and enjoy one of the best pizzas in the world!!!

A most delicious pie. We got the numero uno deep dish which comes loaded with sausage, pepperoni, peppers, onions & mushrooms with a rich marinara sauce over it. It was so good. Walking into unos the smell was incredible. Excellent ambiance. The pizza takes about 40 minutes to bake. We got a small which was enough for 2 people. The staff was friendly and nice. Would go there everyday if I lived in Chicago. Their 2nd store serves the same food and is called Due. It's a block down.

While taking a break from shopping in the city...we wanted my God Son and his brother to experience Chicago Deep Dish Pizza. Location location location was on Pizzeria Uno's side as we saw their sign down the street. One quick Yelp check..and we walked in... We learned that this location was the orginal built in 1943 so there's tons of history in here. The dining is tight and cramped due to its age construction which makes it even cooler in a museum like way. Brick walls, wooden furniture from the 1940s is the vibe throughout. The main bar is showcased immediately upon entry. Our server was very friendly and helpful with the menu. He mentioned that the pizza would take 30 minutes to get to the table. We had no issue with this as we needed a rest and wanted to enjoy some cocktails. Shrimp & Crab Dip - Savory Calamari - Crispy and Fresh Caesar Salad - all good Large Uno Pizza - This deep dish pizza was very heavy and we enjoyed it. All the ingredients were fresh and the cheesey cheese was on point. The sauce wasn't as savory as I expected it to be. No issues. I had maybe unrealistically high expectations as this was a very good pizza. Overall, Pizzeria Uno did a good job. I would definitely visit again and grab some of their famous pizza when I'm in Chicago. Cheers!

While in Chicago, we definitely had to go to a deep dish pizza place. Pizzeria Uno was a block away from our hotel and walked over there for dinner. We ordered some pasta and a medium deep dish. It was very filling. We all shared the pasta dish that came with a salad and garlic bread, so we we're almost full by the time the pizza came. We could only eat one slice each. The lady that served us was very nice e and friendly!!

I was really excited to try Chicago Deep Dish, so I preordered a small sausage pizza, knowing it would be piping hot when I arrived. Unfortunately, I ended up walking out with the wrong pizza. It's understandable--human error happens--but it was disappointing to pay extra for sausage only to receive a spinach pizza instead. Since it was the wrong pizza, it was cold, and eating cold deep dish for the first time is definitely not ideal. That said, the staff member was super nice and gave me plenty of plates and napkins, knowing it was a to-go order. From my experience, the restaurant has a small and cozy atmosphere. It's in a great location near Michigan Ave and is historically known as one of the first places to create deep dish pizza. The pizza had a good sauce with chunky tomatoes. However, I wasn't a fan of the crust, which was made with cornmeal--it was so thick that I almost broke a tooth. It wasn't burnt, just extremely dense. I'm glad I got to try a historic deep dish pizza, but the next time I'm in Chicago, I'll likely try a different place.

Fun! It was next to our hostel, so the convenience was the biggest factor for picking our deep dish place for this Chicago visit. It does cater to tourists by doing the printed pictures thing... But they did give us a postcard for free which I cherish. The pizza was so yummy in my opinion, but I don't discriminate too much with deep dish since I am a simple silly tourist. The dark wood interior was old school and fun. Thank you!

When in Chicago, you google the first chicago deep dish and you get it. For me, it was my one free night and it was via door dash. It was the one with the meatballs and it looked awful but was quite literally still tied for first best pizza (I'm not a huge pizza fan like my better half so this is a lot). Tied with Golden Boy in SF - even when fresh. If I have the pleasure to go back to chicago I'll try it fresh and in person, but what i had was super good. Wasn't a looker (I think the dasher put it upside down) but it sure did taste great!

Visiting Chicago, so why not go to a place that has that Chicago Pride and Old school feel for deep dish and cold draft. Service, Food and an old school Bar with a group of class A people to take care of you. Felt like we were with a family that wanted to take care of you and we're gonna give you the truth when asked. Should have listened to the waitress when saying you sure you want a medium...hahaha. Don't miss this if you're in town, it's exactly what you need during lunch/dinner. Food, Friends and a taste unmatched.

This iconic place has been serving deep dish pizzas since 1943. I was finally able to try it out with friends and family. We tried an arancini and a Spinnocoli Deep dish pizza on our recent visit. I felt the food was about average. I wasn't a fan of broccoli in my pizza, it tasted a bit weird. We were seated in a booth which was too small and it felt too crammed. Overall, Pizzeria Uno is average! I don't think I'll go here again. P.S. Keep in mind that they have 40 mins prep time for their deep dish pizzas.

Like the pizza, it's a bit of a mess. But very satisfying. We came by and should've ordered pizza when we were waiting for our table but we didn't know and they didn't offer. Thankfully we figured out our error and it saved some time before we sat down. A large pizza fed 4 with a bit left over. Enjoyed the sausage and peppers. Everyone knows it's deep dish so you wait but it's enjoyable. The Caesar salad family style was huge. It was fine. The boneless wings were a bit of a psss for me. A little too tough. Service when we sat was good. Inside is nothing special and it could use a refresh a little bit. But otherwise you want a deep dish experience, it's a good choice.

This is such a fun and unique experience. We had no reservation and showed up around 8pm. We were told it would be a 40 minute wait for a table. We reluctantly said we would wait and I'm glad we did. Within 15 minutes our table was ready! With this restaurant you can dine inside or outside and they both have major differences. Outside you will be on the side of the very busy street. So you will have all the romantic car honking noises to entertain you. However you will have a lot of room to move around. Inside you'll be in the rich history of this restaurant. You will feel that history on the inside. The downside is the booths are very tight. Overall I'm so happy we got the inside. Now the pizza is some of the best deep dish you will receive in Chicago. It was packed with so much flavor and truly remarkable. I also really loved that even though it was so busy, the staff still shared fun stories about this historic restaurant. I would highly recommend visiting this gem!

After a long day of walking in the scorching sun, my finance and I were dying for pizza! Pizzeria Uno was the first restaurant that we wanted asap. And it did not disappoint! Walking in, we were sat at a really tiny table, but we asked to be moved to a bigger one. We had plans to order a couple of things. The interior is tight but very cute. So if you have issues like we did, let them know before they sit you down. The waitress, her name is Dominique. She is the kindest woman I have came across in a restaurant. And super cute! She assisted us in what alcohol we wanted, which we appreciate because we never drink, so our knowledge is low. The appetizer was be dry delicious, I just think the bread was being made earlier this morning. It was a little stale. The pizza came out rather quick!! And it was AMAAAZING. The crust is crusting!! The sauce is saucing!! The topppings are soooo good. This place is mouth watering!! Definitely a top notch spot

The food was what we came for, the service was sassy in a great way, and the ambiance was that of where the pizza mob hangs out. We ordered a medium deep dish that was supreme on one side and cheese pesto on the other. This place is by far the best for deep dish that we found in Chicago. There's a reason it's been around since 1943 and that is and has been how purely delicious their dough is. We also had a fantastic side salad and the crab dip. All in all a great Sunday Funday at UNO.

Whether or not this was the first deep dish pizza ever or just a good marketing team early to make the claim, it's still an old restaurant in cool historic building with the classic dish. They do warn you to leave 45 minutes for cooking, but it seemed to take only about 30. It's really like a pie, so it's not a quick lunch, but it's worth it. The pizza was hot and fresh from the oven. Tons of pepperoni, sauce, and some cheese tucked in there made for a great deep dish experience. Even a small one is very filling for two people. The decor has a nice old school feel for it, and service was good. Whether or not it was the first, it's a good one.

This was the only pizza place that I ate at during my Chicago trip, only because of the "historic-ness" of it - it claims to have sold the first deep-dish pizza. There's a couple plaques that tell all about it. But anyway, I'll admit I was disappointed...not in the staff or the timeliness, but the actual pizza! Let me explain... Before I went on my trip, I was advised by my peers not to come here as PU sucked and there were better options. Whatever. I did order a pie that was just right for me, with four slices. I really liked how you can order while waiting in line since the pizza takes about an average 40-45 minutes to cook. I give them plus points for that. (I don't know if other pizza places in Chi do that). I didn't order any appetizers or salad because I knew the pizza would fill me up, and boy it did after the second slice! But here's what I was disappointed in: the way they put the sausage on it. It's like one huge sausage patty cake on top of the pizza with sauce on it. I thought they would cut up the sausage in bits and pieces. But nope. Should have went with the pepperoni or something else. But I had to go all out! Great service and staff overall.

Pizzeria Uno is a Chicago institution that's been here for over 30 years that I know of. It got the same nostalgic look inside and out. They have their own unique crust recipe with corn meal in the dough which gives a really good flavor. They hand make the pies to order vs. having the crusts all prepped in the pans beforehand. Makes a difference in my opinion. We started with the shrimp and crab dip that came with toasts. There was plenty of shrimp in the dip and it was flavorful. Honestly though, I wouldn't order an appetizer if it's 3 or less of you eating as the apps fill you up and you can't eat much pizza pie then! Corey our server was very friendly, not in a rush and we really liked that he talked with us a bit. The Broccolini pizza pie was delicious. Sauce to crust and everything in between was really flavorful! Even if you're a die hard stuffed pizza fan of other famous Chicago pies, it's good to try this pie at the original location while you're downtown!

Stopped by for takeout only. It was a Saturday night and they were crazy busy. I'm not sure if it's always this busy on a Saturday or because there was a holiday parade to blocks away. Anyhow, the staff did a good job trying to take care of where everyone waiting for a table or placing a takeout order. I ordered three individual pies to go. The staff let it be known it was going to take 45 minutes for all pizzas. I thought that was a little long, but at least the staff was smart enough to let us know ahead of time before even placing an order. Personally I'm not a big fan of deep dish pizza but when you're in Chicago you gotta go for it. Because I'm not a fan of deep dish I'm not going to rate that part of the pizza but I did find their sauce to be a little on the sour side, which I was not a fan of. I don't want to write them off just because of the sauce so next time I visit I might give them another shot.

Overall: 1.5/5 Food: 1/5 - I came here with a friend and we got the small deep dish pizza as well as a tomato sauce pasta. The deep dish pizza tasted gummy and the sauce tasted like canned sauce. The cheese did not taste fresh and was not super cheesy and was disappointing especially after what was basically an hour long wait. The pasta was the worst dish I have every paid money for at a restaurant. The sauce tasted like it came straght from a can/jar and was lukewarm/borderline cold. The sauce was not even mixed in with the pasta and there was too much pasta and not enough sauce. The garlic bread tasted frozen with no flavor and we were both so disappointed and felt like this was a complete waste of money. Service: 2/5 - Our server came by once to get our order and give us water at the beginning. He did not give us our food and forgot to give us the side salad that comes with the pasta until we were finished with the meal. We asked another worker about this and her attitude was short and rude offering no help or assistance. We had to put our names down on a wait list to get in and even after seated, (after being on the wait list for 30 minutes), we had to wait another 30-40 minutes for stale tasting pizza and lukewarm tasteless pasta. Value: 1/5 - The taste and quality and service of this place does not warrant the pricepoint that this restaurant offers. The only "cool" thing about this place is the fact that it is the "birthplace" of chicago deep dish pizza, but everything about this place was the worst. I would not come back or recommend. It was a total waste of time and money and I wish I did not even come (but at least now I know to stay clear from this place the next time I am in this area !)

Finally made it to the home of the deep dish. An interesting thing they do here is take your pizza order while you wait so it can start cooking. About 20 minutes later, we were seated in a very steamy interior. The two of us split a large cheese pizza with jalapeños. Major respect for the amount of jalapeños on top as I was constantly getting a bite of it. The crust was good but on the sweeter side making it very similar to a pie. There was a thin layer of cheese and a good amount of sauce on top which was solid. Overall, I liked it but not the best in Chicago.

Never been to Chicago & heard this was the place to eat the famous Chicago Deep Dish - it didn't disappoint. It was delicious. Highly recommend!

Pizzeria Uno is an authentic Chicago style deep dish pizza parlor. The crust was solid and the toppings were fresh for this pie. I ordered the supreme and ate on it for two days in my hotel room. The establishment really took you back to old Chicago but the service was impeccable. I'd highly recommend for anybody looking for authentic, deep dish.

Pizzeria Uno was Established 1943 and was The Birthplace Of Deep Dish Pizza. It was obviously a must for me! Luckily, it wasn't a far drive. I was just hoping that it wouldn't be a bad decision. I came here with my significant other and my friend. We were seated almost instantly. I enjoyed the dark lighting they had. To start things off, I ordered a Diet Pepsi and a Pomegranate Margarita. The Diet Pepsi was awesome and included Free Chicago Refills. Every cup of Diet Pepsi I had, was in fact, awesome. The Margarita was fantastic! It was concocted flawlessly in my opinion. For food, I ordered an Ind. Numero Uno Deep Dish Specialty Pizza. It included Extra cheese, an abundance of fresh sausage, just the right amount of pepperoni and fresh mushrooms, onions and green peppers. It was 14.49. The pizza was good for the most part. The sauce and ingredients met together to form a nice taste. I wish the form of the pizza held together better. Besides everything else, they had a photographer come to our table and offered to take our photos. She took two and returned later to show how they came out on prints. We got to keep the first one for free. She offered others, but we declined. The service was exceptional. I was given everything I needed fairly fast. I didn't have an issue with anything in that field. Overall, I'm glad I went here! It definitely felt like an achievement to eat at The Birthplace Of Deep Dish Pizza. A coworker and I were suggested to come here by the hotel concierge for deep dish pizza. It definitely did not disappoint!

Had a chance to grab a personal plain pie at the bar! I've been trying to get here during my annual Chicago trip for work and finally made it. I sat at the bar and had such a fun conversation with Sergio! He gave me the history of the restaurant and I told him I'd been dying to get in as I used to eat P UNO as a kid. I will say out of all the Chicago pizza chains, this has the most authentic sauce and tastes delicious. I'm never a fan of the crust in Chicago pizza but that's just me! Highly recommend checking it out!

TLDR; good classic Chicago deep dish at the original chain Chicago deep dish is a bit different from your classic New York slice; it goes dough, cheese, meat, veggies then sauce on top. Deep dish is THICC, and there are two major variations; one has a buttery, pastry-like dough while the other has the ingredients between two pieces of dough (also known as "stuffed" deep dish). Unos pizza is the original deep dish, and does deep dish via the first variation stated above. It's rich, full of flavor, and overall very heavy (this is not a bad thing; it's 100% expected) with good structure. The meatball and marinara were also good, but the star here is the pizza. I'll eat this once a year (too heavy for me to have regularly). The building itself is a historical landmark as the origin of Chicago deep dish (1943). The inside ambiance is pretty cozy (perfect for winter), and staff were great. If you are looking to experience authentic Chicago deep dish, this is the place to go. Try to go during lunch time though; dinner lines get really long.

Always a treat eating at Unos. Super excited they had vegan pizza available. It's not on menu but I had it. Was really good. Cheese melted great be taste was so good.

This was 2019, food was delicious as I remember, and it was the best pizza I'd had. First time having deep dish and I loved it!

In my late teens and 20s, Pizzeria Uno in San Diego used to be one of my favorite hangouts! Alas, Pizzeria Uno closed up shop in my hometown years ago. But while I was in Chicago on business, I had the opportunity to stop by the original Pizzeria Uno in Chicago. Even on a Sunday the place was pretty packed! I placed my pizza order at the register and was seated at a table about a half hour later. Even though I was in the middle of the restaurant with a closed menu and no water, napkin or utensils, people kept walking past me without a greeting. About fifteen minutes in, I flagged someone down and asked if they were my server. They said they were not, and that they'd let my server know. Then more time went by. Fortunately, the not-my-server-server came back and took my order and set me up with a club soda and a salad. It was still quite a wait for my pizza, a basic #1 deep dish. When the pizza arrived, it was pretty tasty, very much the pizza dreams of my late teens. When a few tables left, the servers seemed to have better breathing room, and came by to check in. Maybe they were just short-staffed that night. In and out the door was 100+ minutes...just for an individual deep dish, side salad, and club soda.

Super cramped seating. The small deep dish is enough for 2 (as long as you're not big eaters). Service was good. The crust was hard in some spots and crumbling in other parts. Either way, don't eat the crust, not appetizing. The rest of the pizza however was good.

It is amazing eat the typical pizza of the city, signature of Chicago. The dough was crunchy, we asked the veggie pizza. It is delicious! Real good vibe in a building and restaurant since 1943. The cheesecake was tasty as well. The service is amazing! Really friendly . And we thought the price is good. We paid wit tip $40. We asked the individual pizza to avoid Vito eat too much.

Visited Pizzaria Uno with my wife recently. Upon arrival, we requested a small deep dish pizza with some drinks. Then we got in the digital line and waited for a text. Five minutes later, our table was ready and we were seated. Space is at a premium here so don't expect a lot of wiggle room. A waitress arrived and took our drink requests. We told her that we had already submitted our pizza request, which was nice. It's a good idea to put your deep dish pizza request in at the same time you get on the wait list because the pizza takes about 40 minutes to make and cook. Might as well have your pizza cooking while you're waiting for a table. Alas, our pizza was delivered and the waiter plated some for us, so we didn't have to touch the hot pan. I sprinkled on some red pepper flakes and dove right in. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. The pizza was hot, but not too hot as I let it cool for a couple minutes. The crust was crunchy, but not too hard. The crust didn't have a lot of flavor though. But that was okay because the pizza itself had a ton of flavor. It was delicious and I'd order the same thing over and over again. I really like deep dish pizza, especially from this historic pizza shop.

I had a lot of high expectations for this UNO as it was my childhood coming to the UNO located in my hometown of San Diego. However UNO disappeared from California and so when we came to Chicago we were overjoyed and excited to have delicious encounter again. But unfortunately it was not like that. One thing I have to say is, the restaurant gives all nostalgia. Beautiful restaurant but the pizza really disappointed. The crust was undercooked and the cheese was really gummy and chunky. The antipasto salad was also a no-go for us. Salad was very dry and hardly any toppers. The service however was fantastic!

One thing to note about this review, we didn't get pizza, so this review is not a reflection on their specialty. We went on a Tuesday night where they were pretty packed, the bar was open so we choose to sit there and we got the cookie ice cream pizookie and it was ok, not what we expected as the cookie was cooled off by the time it came and there wasn't that much ice cream on it. The cookie tasted okay but not the same not being warmed. There was also a cockroach that crawled on the bar which scared me but didn't really affect our experience too much - it's the city and the door was open for ventilation, but the not warmed cookie was really disappointing.

Amazing pizza!! Service was excellent for Take out. The staff were so thoughtful and went out of their way to offer quality service. The pizza was deep and Rich and perfect deep dish. Highly recommend!

Went to Uno's and I wasn't too impressed with it! It was just ok, but have had better like Malnati's, Giordono's and Pequod's!

We were so excited to try Chicago deep dish pizza from the original place. We arrived early (around 5) trying to beat the Friday night dinner rush. We were told there'd be about a 30 minute wait for a table, but they took our pizza order so it could start baking while we waited, which I thought was brilliant. We found two spots at the bar and had a couple of drinks while we waited. The timing worked out perfectly, and just about the time we finished our drinks, we were escorted to a table outside. Our server quickly informed us that our pizza would be another 20 minutes or so, so we ordered a second round of drinks and the vegetable tray. The veggie tray came fast and it was the perfect starter - plenty of really fresh veggies with ranch and hummus. While on the patio, we had some great casual conversations with two other groups of diners. And one of the servers, every time he appeared on the patio he would greet the group with "hello patio people," and then he would tell us something about the restaurant's history. His energy and friendliness alone made the experience a 5-star! When our pizza came (we ordered the numero uno without mushrooms) we were delighted! It was soooo good!!!! From the start, they suggested we order the small, but we didn't listen and ordered the medium. Even for two overeaters like my husband and myself, the medium was waaay too much food. But we happily had them box up the extra for a treat later.

The original Chicago Deep Dish! Pizzeria Uno is a Chicago legend and yes, it is very popular, and a little touristy, but it is good pizza, great service, and fun ambiance, so it's worth it. My husband and I stopped in here for dinner late the other night and definitely loved it. Our waitress, Dominique, was fun, funny, and very efficient. She also shared a couple of important quirks of Chicago deep dish to be aware of if you haven't gotten in before. 1. It takes about 45 minutes to cook a pizza all the way through, so be patient. 2. Deep dish pizzas are thick so you probably need a smaller pizza than you think you do. If you usually get a medium for you and your other half, stick with the small, it will be plenty. You may also want to save some space for dessert. We tried the Delightfully Decadent Chocolate Cake and it was all of the above. A great place and great food. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in the neighborhood.

First, the staff was rude when trying to put my name on wait list. Then the pizza was burned on the bottom and not good. We were completely ignored for the first 25 mins we were seated. Servers were switched on us. Overall jammed people in and couldn't cover it.

I had to give Uno Pizzeria a try, given its reputation as the birthplace of Chicago deep-dish pizza. The pizza itself was rich, hearty, and loaded with toppings--definitely a unique experience. That said, I have mixed feelings. While I can appreciate the history and craft behind it, the heavy style just doesn't match my personal preference. I'm more of a Brooklyn-style fan and will likely stick with that going forward. Still, it's worth trying at least once if you're in Chicago--it's an iconic spot for a reason, even if it's not for everyone.

Home of Chicago deep dish and one of many places that serve this style of pizza. The vibes are cozy, where the seating is very close together. The tables are on the slimmer end and you'll be fairly close to your party and other parties. The service is fairly good, with the sever coming by every so often. If you're in a rush it'll be hard to enjoy the place in an hour. The medium is 6 big slices of deep dish. The pizza isn't super cheesy. There is a lot of sauce and the crust is very flaky, it reminds me of pie crust. The vegetable toppings are a bit undercooked so they give a crispness to the mouth feel.

Very crowded but wait was only 15min due to party of 2. Very loud and very tight space in between tables. I would consider this "a wall in the hole". :) Overall, i like UNO's Chicago deep dish pizza over Giordano since we dined at both places for comparison. The mozzarella cheese was much better vs Giordano. Caddy corner is another pizzeria by the same owner, except it was named "Pizzeria Due". 2nd one was open due to not enough space in the first one. Calamari & hot wings are above average. Hot wings could be more spicy. Too bad, there was no option to choose.

Uno goes way back..to the roots! Deep dish pizza is super tasty, I would never stop eating this delicious pizza! Love it!

The home of original deep dish pizza. Original building original pizza original Chicago. Absolutely fantastic. Restaurant is old an authentic so it is a bit cramped. Staff is friendly and all the guests seem to be excited to be here. Service is also awesome. I had original Numero Uno pizza with everything and it was an individual serving. Not sure who are individuals this was designed for as it was huge and I couldn't finish it. After eating I realized that numero uno pizza has 1800 calories. Sounds like I will be walking the rest of the day.... Pizza that dense does take some time to bake more precisely 40 minutes, so plan accordingly!!! Pizza is like sex - even when it's not great it is still pretty good. Numero Uno Pizza is always good!!!!

Deep dish pizza here was excellent. Veggies were cooked to perfection. The sauce and crust were tasty. The location was cute and very Chicago. Can't wait to eat here again someday.

I think deep dish pizza is terrible, but as many people told me, I had to come to Uno and give it a go. I still dont like it, too much bread, too little filling. Fried calamari were great tho! Staff was friendly and service was fine, boozy drinks.

I guess I'll start with the pizza , unfortunately I didn't like the pizza the sauce was sweet , needed more sausages and the inside of the crust didn't taste done . You can't go wrong with a fresh caesar salad . The marg was good ! Barely street parking but it's plenty of parking garages near . The tables are really close together and our booth was small . The wait was a hour which wasn't bad because a lot of people was out celebrating st pattys day and the city was busy .. ohh the free photo was a nice touch .

This place has a sign that says they invented the deep dish pizza so naturally this is what we ordered. The disappointment was huge. The crust was dry and the sauce tasted like it was made right out of a can. Probably the worst pizza I ever had. The service was good though, Joey did a great job behind the bar for us.

Staff was super rude, didn't eat here because of that. Employees here hate their job. Staff told us we had to order our entire meal in advance while we waited for a table because their kitchen was so backed up.

Pizzeria Uno is probably the best deep dish in Chicago. I have not eaten in the restaurant in about 20 years, but I recently picked up a frozen, large sausage pizza. I was reminded how truly wonderful this pizza is. Super crunchy crust with moist and flavorful sausage, stringy cheese and plenty of tomato. I remember the restaurant being lovely, but you really cannot go wrong with take-out. Cook as directed and ENJOY!
