On the East Side, this longtime neighborhood favorite pairs Italian comfort with a raw bar and smart wines. A relaxed alternative to Atwells, it attracts locals for pasta, oysters, and evening strolls on Hope Street.

Woah. I am still beside myself by how good this place was. Got the Margherita pizza as an app, delicious. Everyone was blown away by their entrees (we all tasted each others and the salmon and crab dish was my personal favorite). Best hot and dirty martini I've ever had. Also, our server Gianna was absolutely lovely and never missed a beat. Will be returning soon, probably between 4-6 for happy hour (half off apps).

I had gone there some months ago, and can't remember exactly what I had. I feel like it was poultry with something stuffed in it with sauce, vegetable and potato. Anyway, it was a special, and it was remarkably good. I'm sorry I didn't review it while it was fresh in my mind. So, I went back the other day for lunch, and got the fish n chips (fries), as well as an eggplant and goat cheese appetizer. I found the appetizer a little off balance; it had some good flavors, but came off a bit dry, as well as being somewhat too filling for an appetizer. I think it could have used less eggplant, along with some more greens, balsamic , and EVOO. The fish was fresh, with the nicest, lightest beer batter I ever ate; almost like a tempura. Instead of tartar sauce, it came with a delicious aioli, which really was next level. And this may seem an odd thing to mention, but the bread that the server brought was, far and away, the best bread I've ever had in a restaurant, and one of the best breads I've ever had anywhere. I could, actually, have just sat there dipping bread in the EVOO all afternoon. Service was exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable. Prices are quite fair. Not cheap, not especially expensive.

My husband and I ensured a lovely Sunday evening dining at to Pizziko. Our waitress Jessica was is phenomenal. She was attentive, fun, and knowledgeable and recommeded a great pairing wine. conserved, a great wine. Our meal came quickly and was done to perfection. The food was delicious. My husband had the special--the filet funghi, on the sweet side, but he described it as delicious from soup to nuts. The vegetables were cooked to perfection. l had the Fungi Vitello. The veal was cooked perfectly, also. The garlic cream sauce was understated yet flavorful. The fingerling potatoes were perfectly roasted but needed a little extra seasoning. We also split the crabcake which was delicious, also. Thiswas my second time and my husband's first. We'll be back!! Bravissimo.

We love, love, love Pizzico! It’s our “second kitchen” - delicious food, a delightful vibe, and more than anything, absolutely fantastic staff! We are welcomed warmly each time we arrive and are always made to feel like we are home!

Google
BEWARE! their half price appetizer deal does not include all their apps, how you figure out which ones are included is still a mystery to me as the server made no mention of this when we ordered. He was apologetic and took half off one of the items but it would make more sense to tell us before ordering or have the specifics on the menu. Feels like false advertising as their sign outside doesn't indicate specific appetizers being included/excluded. That being said, the appetizers were delicious and large but very expensive ($23/21). All their seafood was top quality with a great mix of flavours. Would recommend if money is no object but maybe double check the bill is correct.

7/11/24 I took a friend who has never been before and she loved it as much as I did. Thank you to Lexi for being an excellent server! The menu for restaurant week was perfect. Caprese salad, chicken saltimbocca, eggplant parm, the chocolate mousse cake, and their amazing sage martini. It made for a fantastic evening. Thank you! If I had to pick a few favorite restaurants on the east side of Providence, I’d say Pizzico would be one of my top 3. I’ve been coming here for almost 15 years and it’s always a superb experience. The staff is always top notch which is the building block of a great restaurant. Crystal was excellent. Tonight was one of their best dishes- chicken parmesan. What separates it from other places- their homemade red sauce as well as a fresh cut of chicken. The perfect drink to wash it down was their pear martini… another item they do better than many other restaurants. They’re always a generous size!

It's not a bad place if you're craving oysters for happy hour and are in the area walking by. I've been a few times and the beers are pricey considering they are $11 across the board even your regular beer. They don't have a beer menu that shows any of the prices. You might as well go to Parkside on Tues or Fridays for $1 oyster and better draft beers for ~$7, same with Mills Tavern they have buck a shuck everyday and bar bites deals and better drafts also for way less ~$7 and both Mills and Parkside shows there beer prices.

My birthday celebration was spent enjoying food and drinks with friends, and it was an awesome time. Food was great, maybe a bit pricey but good. Service was good, the atmosphere is relaxing and I liked the decor. They have a huge chalkboard with lots of specials which was cool and convenient. The only thing I will say is that it is a bit hard to find as the outdoor sign is impossible to see. We came here during a snowfall and it made it that much harder to find the place, but even so, we only knew we were in the right spot through process of elimination really. But I would definitely visit again and for sure recommend if you are a fan or oyster bars!

Yelp
I've been in a dozen or so times over the years and always been quite pleased! Can't believe I hadn't reviewed it before! This time came in for girls dinner. The portion sizes are giant and the quality has always been very good. I got the spicy sausage pasta cause its description was too funny. The waiter was new and did bring the wrong chicken dish for one of my friends but what he brought was one of the two she was debating so it worked.

Yelp
Cocktails: Great! I had the lemon spritz and my partner had the spicy marg. Both very good and well made. Oysters: Meh. I've had them twice here and both times, they weren't shucked completely so I had a hard time getting them off the shell. Also, they don't offer a variety of oysters, which, if you're going to call yourself an oyster bar... App: Burrata and pesto salad was fantastic and the kitchen did a split plate for us (without us even asking) because we were sharing it. A very nice touch. Entrees: I got the grilled sword fish and my partner got the veal Saltimbocca de Vitello. They were both nicely plated and the portions were generous. The butternut squash, brussel sprout & maple bacon hash that came with the swordfish was VERY sweet from the maple syrup - it was like breakfast, dinner and dessert all in one dish! It was good, but way too sweet for my personal tastes. My partner loved the veal. Vibe: We went on a Sunday and the crowd was your typical mix of East Side families with kids and older couples. We were able to be seated right away without a reservation. Service: Low key and prompt - just the way I like it! Overall impression: A nice neighborhood bar/restaurant that your mom would love. I will most likely be back.

Yelp
First time here, such a great experience. Food was good, but Sara, stole the show. Fast service during a busy time, yet quick with a joke and the light of a smoke. Funniest bartender in Providence... Will definitely be back.

Yelp
Pizzico is a nice local restaurant in Providence. Beautiful interior with multiple bars and friendly staff. The varied menu provides a number of options and they had a number of specials the night we visited. Many options for cocktails and wine. I ordered the ribeye special and all in all it was good. My steak was cooked as I ordered it. The asparagus were perfectly cooked. The only comment was the mashed potatoes were dry and under seasoned. We'll definitely give it another try the next time we visit.

Yelp
Our Airbnb host recommended Pizzico Oyster Bar and the Appy Hour did not disappoint! The oysters and shrimp cocktail were amazing! We enjoyed chatting with a local and our bartender, Jennifer, was fabulous. Definitely would come back. We actually might this weekend still

Yelp
It's been a while since we were last here and decided to dine here again. The place is very informal and basic but comfortable with the tables well spaced to allow for conversation. The place was bustling and lively. Our server, Emma, was attentive and helpful which we appreciated. We ordered drinks and then the Veal Saltimbocca and shrimp and butternut squash - both were tasty. We ended with a decent chocolate mousse cake. The check came to $100 which was reasonable for what we had.

Yelp
I came back a week later and still had an amazing experience. The shrimp and scallop bruschetta was the best thing I've had in such a long time! The bread was so crispy yet it was covered in the cream sauce. I'm not sure how they figured out how to not make it a soggy dish, but wow! That was amazing. There were only about two shrimp and two pieces of scallops, but it was well worth it! The swordfish and lobster risotto was also very tasty. Just like with the penne, I wish the lobster serving was way larger. Besides, that was an awesome dish! It feels like I found my new restaurant that I bring all my out of town folks to, to truly get the Rhode Island foodie experience.

Yelp
Super friendly service and a delicious meal, too. I added grilled chicken to my salad and when it was served, the meat was still hot- that rarely happens. And , ths bread was warm, too. A total win.

Yelp
Terrific Sunday night dinner. Fried oyster were just right. The tuna tostada app was great and large. For dinner the scallop pasta special was terrific. Veal saltimbuca also great.

Jesse D.

Yelp
Fallen off significantly going into season. Too many things to list. Understaffed, slimy bar lemons, shellfish not fresh and other dishes (pasta, meats, etc) all dry and taste as if they have just been sitting They did not even have the basic ingredients for a spicy marg. I feel bad for the staff and hope this place picks it up and gets back where it needs to be. This aint no cheesecake factory.

Yelp
Happy hour deals are great! On Fridays they are extended. The oysters, shrimp, some apps and I think both pizzas are included, and you have to sit in the bar area to get the deals. The reason I took a star off is for the service. It is good service, but the hostess, and the wait staff weren't friendly. They always seemed kind of annoyed.

Palmer F.

Yelp
$11 for a draft Peroni?? Drink prices here are not based in reality. The food was not good enough to overlook these wild prices

Linda O.

Yelp
Eggplant stack was SO disappointing. Deep fried to a dark brown so well done it was impossible to tell that it was eggplant. Asked for no balsamic and on the third attempt, no balsamic finally arrived. Absolutely horrible, some sliced 1/8 inch and others 1/2 inch. What really pissed me off is there was a 20% gratuity added that was not disclosed. Fortunately for us, we saw it. The server would have walked away with a 40% tip simply through deception. Never again. Read your checks. I'm fine with adding a gratuity, BUT disclose it at the beginning. If you want to give more, that is your choice. For me, NEVER AGAIN!!!

Yelp
Recommend this place for pizza to my family member. Service at bar was excellent. However pizza has changed a lot in the past 3-4 months. Definitely not something I would recommend. Eggplant tower another old favorite was quite burnt, dried. Calamari was plentiful thou I didn't have any my family member enjoyed it. Drinks, service always good. Not sure why quality of items were not well.Perhaps an off night!

Thomas R.

Yelp
The tiramisu is to die for! Always a go to! You can tell it's homemade and never disappoints. The chefs definitely know what they're doing.
google avatar

Deb P.

Yelp
I had the scallop entrée. The scallops were good but too much risotto on the plate. It was on a Friday night. The atmosphere was good. The service was OK.

Phil S.

Yelp
Went for oysters and late lunch on a Friday afternoon-no oysters! Took business next door. When you are an oyster bar it is a good idea to have oysters.

Yelp
I've had a gift card burning a hole in my pocket, and I finally got the chance to try this place. I'm disappointed to report that I was underwhelmed. The menu states that most dishes are naturally gluten free or can be made gluten free (as someone with celiac, that's important). Unfortunately that wasn't the case, only one of the appetizers was gluten free, none of the others could be made gf, and for the entrees, most of the changes would have totally altered the flavor and presentation of the dish. Which is fine, it's not a gf restaurant, but then don't make that claim. We started with the caprese salad, which wasn't good, either flavor or presentation wise. The cheese was gritty and the pieces were comically small compared to the tomato slices, which were huge and not flavorful. I got the lobster penne alla vodka with gluten free pasta. The pasta was over cooked and the dish had very little flavor. The fried pickles, gnocchi and bolognese (which I couldn't try) were reported to be just ok. I usually give places more than one chance to impress me, but at those prices I think I'll pass on this one, Providence has too many other good restaurants. At least I got to use my gift card?

Yelp
Pizzico is a happy hour gem on Hope Street! Don't be fooled by the name, Pizzico is MUCH more than pizza! Is stoped by with my mom for happy hour the other day and we enjoyed several menu items and delicious cocktails. First, the bread at the beginning of the meal was flavorful and warm-- always a plus! The raw oysters were shucked right in front of us, had a delicious briny taste and were served on crushed ice with mignonette sauce. We also tried six fried oysters that were served perfectly light, crunchy and airy while bursting with flavor. For the main course, we split a warm pear and gorganzola salad and lobster penne. The kitchen kindly split the portions for us before serving and both were absolutely deciduous. The pasta sauce was silky smooth and complemented beautifully by chunks of lobster mixed throughout. Service was wonderful and the atmosphere was perfect for an early dinner. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Betsy M.

Yelp
The food was delicious. Service not so great. Server was taking to a regular and had to ask someone to get her for a second drink and to order. Not busy. When we got our bill, shocked at the price of my skinny margarita. Been there plenty of times and ordered the same drink and have never payed $21 for a drink. If the service was better could have overlooked it. Was our go to place but not anymore.

Yelp
We went for Restaurant Week during lunch and were definitely happy we did! I would probably never have come here just because there are so many restaurants around and it's all street parking and frankly , it doesn't catch your eye as you walk or drive by. ... but the lunch menu for Restaurant Week drew us in . We got there just as it opened on a weekday at 11:30. The server was friendly and informative and brought us drinks quickly as we looked through the lunch menu. (It was almost the entire dinner menu!!! Lots to chose from) For the Appetizer, I ordered the Melanzana Fritta Tower (ususally $13.00 - which is layers of crispy eggplant & goat cheese ~ Served over baby greens, drizzled w/ balsamic essence & EVOO). What a wonderful explosion of flavors in your mouth! The hot crispy eggplant with the cool fresh goat cheese and the balsamic glaze were delicious! It was a good sized portion and I would definitely order that again. My friend started with the Mini Stuffies (usually $13.00 - which were Mello's chorizo & clam stuffing ~ Finished w/ lemon aioli & scallions) and when they arrived, we both loved the way they were plated. The 3 small stuffies were on a little mounds of rock salt like they were on a beach. Fun and clever! She also said they were delicious and wished there were more :) For our main course, we both ordered the Lobster Penne alla Vodka (usually $26.00 which was Lobster meat prepared w/ vodka, house sauce, cream & parmesan cheese. There was a good amount of fresh lobster meat, with both claws and tail meat and a good sized portion. It was creamy but very rich so I was unable to finish all of mine. They had several desserts for the last course. There was a Chocolate cake slice, a few sorbets and a cheesecake slice. My friend got the Vanilla cheesecake and said it was very creamy and full of vanilla flavor. I got the raspberry sorbet and it was light and refreshing. I read reviews from other Yelper's and thought the food was pretty fairly priced for the area, but going during Restaurant Week it was definitely a great deal! Again for me the issue is parking , but the food was worth coming back to try more things!

Yelp
We ended up here after sitting for an hour and a half at another place down the street where we got no food. I am super pleased we did! The drinks were fine, but the food and service were the stars of the show. I ordered the Clams Spaghetti, which I asked if it could be made with plain red sauce instead of the arrabbiata sauce as described on the menu, my friend ordered the pappardelle bolognese. My request was honored, and wow, was it good! My friend loved her dish as well! Our waitress was friendly, attentive and took very good care of us all night. I can't wait to go back!

Cindy A.

Yelp
Just left Pizzico at 8:00 on a Saturday night because the doors were locked. I knocked as there were people in there dining and at the bar and hostess said they were closing because it had been slow. It's no wonder. Won't be back.

Yelp
The food: We went for restaurant week and had the lunch menu. Ordered the stuff clams and eggplant goat cheese for apps. The stuffed clams were flavorful and tasty, but the eggplant was a bit bland and soggy. For the entree we got the lemon parmesan chicken which actually was fried chicken on a bed of arugula. The chicken was much overcooked, a tiny thin piece that was dry and chewy. Not a fan! The fish tacos were basic, wish there was more sauce and flavor. The dessert was my favorite and the raspberry sorbet was delicious. Also loved the cappuccino chunk gelato, very fresh and creamy with tons of chunks. The dessert saved the meal. The place: Inside is very pleasant and seating is spacious. Big open windows bring in a lot of light as well. A few tables outside which is also a nice place to sit and enjoy hope street. The service: Our waiter was very kind. Wish he gave us so more suggestions with the menu, but food came quick!

Yelp
Highly recommended, I'm allergic to shellfish and I was interested in the appetizer but many of those are with seafood so I'm always scared about that, we asked the server if they can do it but with chicken the answer was yes was so yummyyyy I think they should add it to the menu, delicious. The sangria was very strong, it wasn't the best, but is a nice place and a very pleasant service.

amanda s.

Yelp
Have been to Pizzico on and off over the years as we live in the neighborhood. Not sure about the dine in experience, but this is definitely not a place to get to go dinner. Lemon chicken was not prepared as described and horribly over cooked, pizza was just plain old bad. Eggplant appetizer might have been good in the restaurant but... Won't make this mistake twice. Expensive bad to go food - lots of other options in the area

Yelp
We've been once. We'd like to try it again but their hours are never correct or posted on the restaurant. We tried to go thinking they were open until 9 but they told us at 7:50 they were closed.

Yelp
Fantastic frutti de mare oysters and baby carrot salad. Roxanne treated us like family. Much appreciated to one of the best restaurants in Providence. We will be back constantly

Yelp
It's been a few years since I've visited this establishment. Since then, I no longer eat meat. Was wondering if I could have anything on the menu. They have a few veggie apps and entrees. The bar has changed for the better. More high end liquors and libations. The amaro selection is very nice. Andrea at the bar is gracious and welcoming. The expansion is great as well. Lots of room to spread out. Don't miss the appy hour all day Sunday and weekdays 4-6!
google avatar

Andrea P.

Yelp
I've never tried goat cheese but I decided to be adventurous and try the gamberetti e gnocchi. Delicious! My husband got the pollo fagioli and it was also excellent. Great place. The food is good, service is fast. I have to say I was most impressed during my first visit. I had 7:00 reservations. We arrived 15 minutes early so we waited at the bar. The owner insisted on buying me a glass of wine for having to wait 15 min (I was early for the reservations). Overall impressed with the service all around great place. We will be regulars.
google avatar

Steven O.

Yelp
I have been dining at this restaurant for many years now. In Providence it has been a staple; - for dinner one could always expect a sound meal with excellent service. They have recently changed their menu, the theme appears to be less consistent with what they had previously and (to my disappointment) several of their really outstanding items have been removed. Their cocktail 'Impeared' no longer appears on the menu but one can order it, it is superb. Their signature "Assortimento' is now no longer available. The service remains consistent and the food while on the pricey side seems to now have reverted to less unique options (fish and chips, burgers and so forth) that were once previously available. I was also surprised to note how empty the restaurant was particularly on a Friday night. I hope this move to the new menu will prove wise but I am skeptical. Sometimes changing a good thing is not always the best ploy.

Holly G.

Yelp
Had a fabulous meal. Apps were delish, bartender was attentive and talented. Main course was enough and more, as always (just enough for lunch tomorrow). Solid experience every time. Oh, and they comped our dessert when the table for our 7pm reservation ran late.
google avatar

Debra M.

Yelp
The atmosphere was very nice. They gave me a generous size glass of sangria (strong and yummy). The scallop special was melt in your mouth delicious. Will definitely go back!!!

Yelp
I purchased a Living Social deal, which finally pushed me to try this local gem. I'm glad I did. The mixed reviews scared me a bit, but I'm glad I ignored them. As others have mentioned, I arrived to find that all the specials written on the board had been "sold out." However, the server presented us with two other specials verbally, which left me a bit confused. My visit was on a Sunday evening at 8pm. The restaurant is intimate, charming, and very warm/inviting -- a great place for a date night. Easily accessible street parking was available right out front. I had submitted a request for a reservation on the website, but it wasn't necessary. On to the food! We stayed away from appetizers so that we could enjoy our meals -- and we did! The specials were tempting, but we ordered two dishes off the main dinner menu: a pumpkin ravioli served in a pesto cream sauce and the pappardelle bolognese. Both were spectacular. The pumpkin ravioli were a bit sweet, but if you enjoy that, you're in for a real treat. The pesto cream sauce stole the show; it was divine. For dessert, we shared the dark chocolate mousse cake. It did not disappoint. It's quite rich, but after requesting a glass of milk from the bar, it was perfection. Ah, and the bread... I am a bread snob and this basket of perfect little bite sized pieces served with olive oil for dipping was delicious and super fresh. The server was so incredibly sweet, attentive, and knowledgeable. She is a true professional -- personable while still very professional. She's an asset to the business for sure. All in all a positive experience. I'm glad I finally made it in!

Reid M.

Yelp
Pizzico Ristorante is great. Amazing raw seafood, good food. Good service. Cool vibe with outdoor seating on nice nights. I live in North Attleboro but can get there in 15 minutes.

Yelp
In RI, Italian restaurants are plentiful. You can find one in almost any neighborhood. I've always been a fan of Italian cuisine, so I'm always looking to try new and exciting Italian restaurants in my area. Pizzico was somewhat unexpected. I hadn't even heard of it until my friend mentioned she had a LivingSocial deal and wanted to try it together for dinner one night. The experience overall was quite good. The staff was friendly, the bread was tasty, and the Tea For Me cocktail I tried (with tea-flavored vodka, honey, lemon, and St. Germain) was fantastic! I also really loved the fried eggplant and goat cheese appetizer. It was piping hot and crispy, with tons of yummy goat cheese in between the layers of eggplant. My friend enjoyed the stuffed gnocchi as her entree and loved it, while I tried a special comprised of seared scallops and veggie risotto. Although the scallops could have had a better sear, they were tasty, as was the risotto. The portions were decent sized, and the prices are comparable to like restaurants on the Hill. Although I wouldn't label Pizzico as a new favorite (it's tough competition in Providence for Italian spots), I was still very pleased by our meal. I would happily revisit Pizzico in the future, and would DEFINITELY do a repeat on that amazing cocktail!

Yelp
A few years ago I gave a five star review, but tonight was a very off night. First, the good news-the food was delicious. We ordered an entree and a special. Both were well prepared and we enjoyed it all. The issue was the service. They were not expecting a large crowd and were very understaffed. Our drinks took over 15 minutes to arrive and each course was slow to come. Normally I don't mind a relaxing meal, but this was just slow. They forgot to put in a second drink order, took half an hour to refill water (and only refilled one) and I finally brought the check to the bar when we just wanted to leave. We asked for the second drink before our entrees arrived and by the time we were ready to settle up it still had not arrived. We would still go back because we know this was an anomaly. I look forward to future five star meals.

F M.

Yelp
Food was mediocre and not worth the price. Drink was strong but no flavor. No atmosphere or vibe at all. Seemed like they were understaffed.

Scott P.

Yelp
Was looking forward to having dinner last night at Pizzico with a friend. Seeing it was restaurant week we decided to share an order off the special menu. Ordered a Margarita Pizza, order of stuffies, Salmon Grigliato and chocolate moose cake. The pizza was very disappointing, crust tasted like a frozen pizza from the supermarket, the stuffies were advertised as chorizo and clam w/ lemon aioli but could only be described as stuffing and chorizo(to much) food processed and put in a shell, not a clam to be found, the Salmon Grigliato was tasty but did not come with many tomatoes, dessert was delicious, one martini and one draft beer, $85 plus tip. All and all it was a disappointment.
google avatar

Alicia M.

Yelp
Ordered the mini stuffies. The "stuffing" was essentially buttered breadcrumbs. No chorizo and minimal clams. No "form". Yuck. Went to order the pizza- advertised outside and told to us by the waitress- it was half off. Ordered it- told it was sold out. Why tell us about it then??? Service was ridiculously slow- and it was mid day and not busy. Ordered oysters. We finished the stuffies. Never came. Waitress asked if we wanted dessert or coffee. I told her we'd like the oysters that were ordered. Definitely won't return. Too many other great restaurants in Providence to choose from!

Yelp
Pizzico was my Restaurant Week choice and we were very happy. I have driven by many times and to be honest, the restaurant name/sign thing never inspired me to visit but now I know better. The staff was very friendly upon arrival and the decor is charming. I really thought it was a nice space. Our waiter, Aaron maybe, was great. We both wanted the same thing and he explained that this meal was not often what people expected and we both ended up switching our main. The food was amazing. We both had fried oysters to start. I am still thinking about them. The batter was light and crisp. They were the perfect temperature and the sauce put it over the top. Best fried oysters I had had. I had a fish sandwich w/fries for my main that was very good. Their batter is spectacular. My friend got salmon and finished every morsel on her plate. Since we did the Restaurant Week menu, we each got dessert. She got a delicious cheesecake and I had the chocolate mousse. Mine was topped with cocoa powder. It was perfection. Light but rich. I was very impressed all around and will definitely go back. Thanks for the great meal!

Vero T.

Yelp
This is a nice little gem in Providence. I went for an office Christmas party for work. Although, it's a nice spot the parking was a hassle and found the place too small and cramped for gatherings. The food was great along with the drinks, but I would recommend as a sit down not a gathering. The waiters and bar tenders were great and attentive. My favorite appetizer was definitely stuffed mushrooms. They are a must try!

Tin S.

Yelp
Good fried calamari, decent Caesar salad, decent fish and chips. Nice to be able to sit outdoors on the sidewalk. The server was very understanding that my kids kept dropping their forks.

Yelp
We had a wonderful, tasty, relaxed, leisurely lunch here on a summer Sunday afternoon. Pizzico was recommended to us by a lifelong Providence resident, and the pick did not disappoint. The homemade pastas are worth coming back for again: hand rolled pappardelle noodles bathed in a creamy bolognese (a bit too creamy and not meaty enough by Bologna's standards but still delicious to our taste); strozzapreti with spicy lamb sausage and a fresh herbed tomato sauce reduction; penne with lobster, cream sauce and vodka; (alas, after downing two dozen sweet and briny New England oysters on the half shell, we did not have room for the tortellini stuffed with Portobello and wild mushrooms and tossed with pancetta in a light brandy cream sauce). The saltimbocca was prepared perfectly: moist and tender, not rubbery or tough. Service could not have been more professional. We will be back for sure, but wonder if the hard surfaces on walls, floors and tables would make the interior too noisy for our ears when full?

Yelp
I've walked by pizzico at least once a week since moving into the area. I've been dying to try it out so thought a celebration dinner was as perfect a time as any! My boyfriend and I started out with a RI classic - stuffies! The fillings were so delicious. I do wish that they weren't miniature and were full size. I ordered the gnocchi for my main meal. It had goat cheese in it. It was such a nice end of summer dish. It wasn't too heavy like most gnocchi's are. My only complaint with pizzico is the price. It's definitely overpriced for the food and service but overall a good experience if you're looking to shell out the dough!

Yelp
My husband and I went here for an "early dinner" on a Saturday night around 5pm with our baby in her stroller. The seating is a little tight but they were very accommodating and sat us at a little table where we could pull the stroller along side. Once seated, we reviewed the menu. The menu choices are ok, typical of an Italian restaurant, with a decent assortment of appetizers, pizza, pasta, beef, chicken and seafood. Not in the mood for a super heavy meal, we opted for the calamari, pizza, salad and soup. The calamari and pizza came out first. When we sat down the calamari passed us on the way to another table and the smell was intoxicating...in a good way...which swayed us to order. When we tried it, the calamari was ok, but certainly smelled better than it was. It wasn't bad, I've just had better. The pizza on the other hand was wonderful! We ordered the Italiano pizza and it was perfect for us to share, cooked well and he flavors just work together! For our "second" course I had the Della Casa salad and my hubby had the De Campo soup, which took FOREVER to come! I mean it was a soup and salad which should've been the easiest thing to serve! But when it did arrive, the salad was fresh and HUGE plus the dressing was very good! My husband liked his soup, but again, wasn't anything overly wow'ing about it. In summary, food was ok, but completely overpriced for the quality and quantity.

Yelp
Tasty food and apps, but the wait-time for your eats is ridiculous. Waited almost an hour for 3 appetizers and more than 30 minutes for desert! Beer selection is mediocre at best. There are far too many breweries in RI that deliver very good brews, and all they have on tap is Revival (ehh). Expensive for what you get and gave to wait for. Server was the only highlight.
