PJ's Coffee

First time in this cute coffee shop. Loved the variety of hot/cold drinks they offer. New Orleans based so their drinks and food have that influence. Absolutely recommended!!

This is the third or fourth time we have been to this location. Their beignets seem to be hot or miss since we have been before and thhey were amazing. Only one time before did we get them undercooked after we already drove away. Now we always cross our fingers they are good and today we got a six piece order. The first two were good. The next two were both super raw and gooey and the rest of them look the same way.

Good coffee. Fresh beignets. Comfortable seating. As best I can tell, this is an all female-owned and female-operated coffee shop. The only time I ever saw a guy working there was when they were repairing the beignet machine. The shop is clean and fairly quiet. There isn’t a whole lot of lot of seating but what they have is comfortable and cozy. My biggest and only complaint is the lack of tint or window covering in the mornings when the sun is blindingly staring into the seating area. Fast. Efficient drive through and friendly staff. Amazing beignets.

Nice place to get a coffee , coffee cake or beignets. A New Orleans owned franchise for those missing home. Always enjoyable to enjoy and reasonably priced. You have the choice of eating inside or outside. Nice for a first date or eating solo. ENJOY!

I give my stars for the food in accordance with the coffee. The coffee is decent. Definitely not the best latte, drip, expresso you’ve ever had, but it gives you what you need on your way to work. The service is what troubles me. I’ve only had one good experiences having ordered coffee here possibly at minimum once a week for the past two months. The ladies taking orders are rude. Don’t let the soft tones fool you. They’ve shown me impatience, lack of compassion, lack of urgency, and poor professional demeanor. I’ll be taking my business else where. No, I wouldn’t give this place your time or hard earned money.

I spent over $10.00 on Beignet and they were horrible. Bland, cold, not flaky/crispyat all. They tasteold witha pile of sugar.. Just a block of dough 😒. I'm so disappointed because some days they are perfect. I wish they can just be consistent.

Slowest drive thru ever every time without fail. I love my turkey sausage egg and cheese sandwich but unfortunately only get to stop here on a day off bc I can’t guarantee that I’ll be out of the drive thru in time to make it to work. Idk if they need more morning staff or what but I worked McDonald’s drive thru for 11 years and so I know there’s no excuse.

I might be prejudice, but I think this place is the best king cakes, New Orleans style beignets, seasonal specialty coffee, and WONDERFUL southern hospitality

Love this New Orleans style restaurant, with beignets that will literally leave your mouth watering! A nice spot that you can go set your laptop up and work during the day, or you can come and relax and have a nice cup of coffee, tea, and treat yourself to deliciousness. I love coming here, the staff is so friendly and professional. They also have breakfast sandwiches, pastries, and more to sip and eat on. You must come try this New Orleans spot out and most importantly you must get a bag of beignets.

It reminds me of a small funnel cake with a hint of cinnamon. If you're planning on ordering beignets be sure to give yourself an extra five minutes because they are made to order. PJ's coffee offers signature dinks, sandwiches, and pastries. Pastries include - Made in house muffins - Cinnamon Rolls - Cookies - Bagles & Croissants Sandwiches includes - Bacon, Egg, and cheese on biscuit - Sausage, Egg, and Cheese on biscuit - Turkey Swiss - Cuban & Club Sandwiches This location also offers quick grab and go items. Service I met a nice barista who offered great conversation and great suggestions. This was my first visit here and I'm already looking forward to placing another order of delicious beignets.

Coffee and service were good. Didn't try any of their foods, but holy cow the inside is FREEZING. I specifically came to work at this cafe because they are open later than others, but I couldn't stand how strong their AC was and ended up leaving earlier than planned.

I really enjoyed this coffee shop to come and study in a chill space. Their matcha is very tasty and so are the egg bites. The service was amazing, and they're so incredibly sweet. I'll definitely be back again for a study session.

While taking a break from navigating the madhouse called Dallas traffic, I stopped in at PJ's for coffee. I love small and independent coffee houses. PJ's hit the spot. I ordered a latte that was just right. Having recently had lattes that had a burnt or an aftertaste, it was nice having one that I didn't mind finishing. The spot is not crowded, so I got to have a seat without people being all on top of me. The service at the counter was very welcoming, which is a definite bonus. When next I am visiting I will have to add PJ's to my list of coffeehouses to frequent.

This place has very relaxed vibes, the staff was friendly and prompt with my order and my food was delicious. I normally don't leave reviews but I got the pumpkin cream cold brew coffee, bacon egg bites and beignets. It was all so flavorful I would definitely go back, 10/10. If y'all are looking for a nice quiet coffee shop to eat, work/study and have a relaxing time this place is the place to go!

Love pjs. But customer services could be better. Literally got there today before 7pm and they were already closed. Just unprofessional.

There's a store close to my grandson's school so I've stopped here quite a few times. Food and service is always consistent. I always get the Praline flavor hot coffee with an order of beignets. The coffee and beignets are 10/10! My favorite place for coffee and beignets.

If you enjoy eating beignets from New Orleans then you will love PJs. The coffee is great. The sandwiches are great. Even if you're just picking up in drive thru, it gives NO vibes. Definitely a YES

Beignets I rate at 5 stars. They were fresh, cooked well and delicious. The King Cake was ok, as I expressed to the person serving me it had too much ice in it. Customer service was good based on being greeted when I came in and my questions were answered. It is a big enough space to come with a small group or to study. The low rating is I was not asked if I would like the drink redone with less ice.

I got a vanilla iced latte, with a turkey & egg sandwich it was delicious. The service was quick and the workers were nice and helpful. The atmosphere was cute and nice to sit and drink coffee.

everything is great, but you'll probably want to have them repeat the order to you & taste the drinks before you get too far.

I really love this spot! The vibes are always great! The service is always good! I stopped in yesterday because I wanted something sweet & the sweet cashier was soo helpful & giving me options so I wouldn't leave empty handed! I ended up with Strawberry Shortcake Beignets! There were made fresh & was soooo good!!!

I definitely recommend this spot. The mocha drink I got was so good but I forgot the name. The drive thru at this place was fast and easy. The croissant was also really delicious but quite expensive considering you can get x12 of those for only $5 at Sams Club.

While we were waiting to get breakfast at Old West Cafe we decided to grab some pre- brunch coffee here. We got a few of their seasonal flavors which were very well made and pretty close to a (good) Starbucks standard. We'll be back to try some more flavors in the future! Went here to work and start my morning with beignets recently. I consider myself a beignet connoisseur and saw far the ones I've had in the DFW area have been mid. But at this little coffee shop I felt transported back to New Orleans when I bit into the beignet and took a sip of their pralines and cream latte. The counter staff were friendly and it was quiet enough to where I could comfortably sit for a few hours getting this done. Happy I found this spot.

Just wanted to post about the best morning crew at PJ's coffee shop on Midway Rd. It's the best service in town and the morning crew is just wonderful!!!

Nothing wrong here- Well made coffee, wide selection- Fresh and toasty warm Beignets- Good seats, fast WiFi Friendly staff- It's an all around win, if you want a pink drink, Starbucks is down the street

Great coffee and food just takes a little patience and time management to fully enjoy what you get from PJ's. They usually have one-two people working at a time through no fault of their own, so I do recommend only swinging by when you know you have the time. Went inside for the first time the other day and I really liked how quiet and chill the interior was. Looking forward to going again!

BEIGNETS! The absolute BEST I've ever had! In Texas, New Orleans or anywhere else in the South I've eaten them. Light, fluffy, airy. They come in threes and honestly I've eaten two servings without blinking. Just delicious! The interior is cute - NOLA themed. No ambience or anything remotely like Du Monde's in the Quarter - but who cares!?! I'm there for the beignets. The women who work there are great (Hi Michaela!) and happily indulge my phone in orders and request for extra powdered sugar. The also make a mean Cafe Au Lait. But mostly - beignets! BEIGNETS! BEIGNETS! BEIGNETS!!!

Friendly staff and quick service. Any coffee shop is better than starbucks. I prefer local shops or the smaller chain. The smore's frap is a seasonal option, so when its around, get that. The frap-like drinks here are good, not too sweet, almost on point with the flavor they are trying to replicate and better than Starbucks in my opinion.

As a New Orleans native, my family and I are ESTATIC that this is finalllllly here and open! The staff is amazing, the food is delicious, the drinks are delightful. And this is by far the cutest coffee shop I've been to! We are happy to officially be consistent customers of this establishment!

I love PJ's on Midway and the service I get there. Makala is wonderful. I go out of my way to get my coffee there because of her. She is helpful and willing to go the extra mile to make the visit pleasant. The food and drinks are excellent. I've liked all the different drinks I've tried. I highly recommend giving it a try.

We were (was?) over this way looking at a furniture store. Stopped in for a quick bite. We both got the praline and cream latte and the beignets. The beignets were delicious. Not overly sweet and hit the spot. I didn't really taste pralines in the latte, mostly whipped cream. Maybe a hint of praline. Would be back to try again though, maybe get something different along with the beignets.

Wow! What a treat!! I was unsure what I wanted and the barista asked me a few questions the whipped up some magic in a cup. This shop is SUPER clean, quaint, and a great place to get some work done. Might be my new favorite stop in Dallas!

Went to the grand opening event today and it was PACKED ! But the vibe was so energizing and I had amazing customer service from the baristas. The shop is beautiful, and I love the purple decor (my fav color!). The only reason I knocked off a star is because none of the sampled baked goods I tasted were good. Dry cranberry orange scone, dry oatmeal cookie, brownie underwhelming. But I'm willing to believe this was due to mass producing the samples for the event so I will definitely come back and give food another try. Also important to note - this is a black woman owned franchise!! The only in the area to the best of my knowledge so let's all support!!

Ordered a Nitro Cold Brew w/ cream and sugar on Saturday and it was amazing. Ordered the exact same thing this morning and it was a completely different drink. No consistency.

Great coffee shop, small and quaint. Study, hangout, have a drink, love this place. Super friendly staff, yummy treats, and super clean. Love the purple decor and ambiance. They also have a convienient drive thru as well for quick stops.

Peaceful environment and stellar beignets! Great place to sit and talk, with a fun Nawlins vibe. Really enjoyed the creative flavors.

I have tried this location several times and each time I go my drink never taste the same. I think everyone kind of just makes it their own way. The hot drinks are not always hot and sometimes warm. I do love going for the bakery items.

Very friendly staff that gave a warm greeting as soon as we pulled up to the window. Delicious food, amazing King Cake Velvet ice! Will definitely order from here again. So glad a part of NOLA has made its way to Dallas. Cute shop too, great for pictures and spending time with friends!

Amazing atmosphere, amazing people, amazing coffee. I got my drink and danish out quickly! Baristas did an amazing job at making me feel welcomed and greeted right when I walked in! Would definitely recommend, they also have great prices! Looking forward to coming back

Best place to get beignets in dallas. I have tried other places. It's not cafe du monde but definitely taste very good.

My first experience with PJ's was the Northlake location. Today I tried one close to my home and it didn't let me down. I went early a little after opening and placed my order through the app. Upon my arrival it looked like the staff was prepping the store so they didn't see my order so it wasn't ready when I got there. The staff was apologetic and nice about it. I purchased a cappuccino with heavy cream and sugar free caramel, strawberry and cream cheese croissant and a maple sausage ciabatta. Each item was absolutely delicious!!!! This is my favorite coffee shop now officially! The space is very nice and well decorated too. Perfect spot to relax have a great cup and good book. I highly recommend this place to anybody .

This is the absolutely best coffee house that I have been to in a LONG time!!! The praline and cream coffee is delicious! The croissant is buttery and flakey! They have the best customer service! The staff is very warm and welcoming! I felt very comfortable in the shop, they definitely practice social distancing and it's extremely clean! I will definitely return every time I'm in town!! Thank you again!!!

I wanted to have a great experience. That didn't occur. This place popped up as a "visit spot" on my Yelp. I don't live as close to that side, as I previously lived in the Bluffview community. While running errands today, I saw their location and had to stop in. I walked in today and the atmosphere was nice. No one was in line and so I walked up as I looked at there showcase of food items. A tall African American woman walked up, no greeting and just looked at me. Eye to eye I simply asked for literature or a brochure about there place. She asked food or coffee? I told her coffee. She obtained the brochure and handed it to me and I said thank you and walked away. No response back. Maybe today wasn't her day, but I will go back hoping for a better experience and to rate the food etc. And update this review. 2 stars for the nice atmosphere

The staff at PJs is so sweet and the shop was adorable! It was our first time and we got a Medium Roast Coffee and a Iced King Cake Latte, both were wonderful! We live in Austin but we will be sure to stop by PJs next time we are in town!!

The only good news, our Drinks were made correctly; The bad news, our customer experience was not great. Someone, who just walked in, not in any sort of uniform, didn't introduce themselves, told us to leave under the premise of, "health concerns." They were rude, and conveyed a perturbed tone. My partner and I were holding -- in our hands -- our brand new baby puppies, while waiting for our to go order, 2 beverages and a pastry to be prepared. When I explained this to the hound woman, she told us to wait outside and someone would bring us our order. While this exchange was happening, there was another customer who came in, with a full sized springer spaniel, on a leash. This customer was allowed to not only place an order for her self, but also a whip cream cup for her dog. Moreover, this woman who I can only assume worked for the cafe, allowed this other customer to wait inside the cafe for the complete order and did not request that she and her dog wait outside. This blatant act of discrimination needed to be noted. Why were myself and my partner -- two gay men-- who were respectfully holding our quite, and behaved 8 and 10 week old puppies asked to leave and wait for our order outside? All the while the next customer was able to let their -- also well behaved -- full grown dog run around within the limits of its leash, and wait inside the cafe for her order... First, all customers should be treated equally! Second, as a former Cafe Manager, I can tell you we posed no health concern, and I have asked the health inspector. Third, the customer service was terribly unprofessional. There is a certain decorum a manager or employee should operate within.
