"There’s no party like a tapas party, and this handsome Spanish restaurant in Spring is the perfect destination for a group gathering of food and wine. Though the main area can accommodate larger parties, its adjoining event space, complete with dark wood floors and leather banquettes, is made to accommodate up to 80, and can sure entertain with a bevy of wines and small plates, like croquetas de jamon serrano fermin, and a stellar Paella Valenciana, made with chicken, rabbit, and green beans." - Minh Truong, Brittany Britto Garley

"From Basque country to the ‘burbs, this Spring wine bar and tapas spot marries rare wines with chef-driven, Spanish shareable plates such as its sweet shrimp gambas al pil-pil, meat and veggie empanadas, and jamon Iberico by the ounce. Do not miss out on Plane’s egg and caviar dish, made with an egg custard with a healthy bump of caviar on top, be sure to check out its iteration of the Basque cheesecake, and rest assured that your glass will stay full when dining here." - Sean Hekmat

This was such a great experience. Party of 4: double date: Saturday evening: We definitely enjoyed ourselves the ambiance was good. The waitress was extremely polite and friendly she knew the menu and was able to answer all our questions. I enjoyed all the flavorful bites. We loved it so much we joined the classes/ wine tasting events. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for a quiet date night. It’s very intimate. Update: After attending the cooking class: On a Saturday afternoon: The class size was perfect. Everyone was able to hear and see everything. I’m pretty confident that I will be able to put that dish together at home.

My wife said it was the best food she’s ever had, and I agree! Here’s why: Tapas style entrees mean eating as much as you want, but not too much. The flavors and presentation are like artwork. It’s a thrill when the dishes arrive at the table. The wine list is spectacular, with unique Spanish and French wines that are not available elsewhere. The service is outstanding. The staff is friendly and always attentive, and the proprietor may even stop by your table to speak about the food or wine. The main space is smaller, seating only about 25 patrons. (There’s a bar area that will seat 5 or 6 and 4 tables designed to seat 4 to 5 people each.) So, reservations are your best bet. There’s also an adjacent event space for parties. This restaurant is so good that it works for a business meal or birthday/anniversary celebration like ours. We’ve eaten everywhere in Houston, and I’d say that Plane and Level represents the best food and service in the city. That’s no exaggeration! It’s truly world class.

Google
PHENOMENAL FIND!! My wife and another couple got a table at 5pm, and we were immediately impressed with the decor and the beautiful Jamon sitting on the bar. Being fans of tapas and wine, we ordered almost every dish on the menu over the evening, along with bottles of Rioja and a Pinot Noir. From the bread service, to Jamon Iberico, to the Pulpo and the charcuterie board, we were constantly impressed and amazed at the flavors and authenticity of our tapas. The pulpo was perfect with just the right grill char, supremely tender and seasoned so well. We even convinced our friend who is from the Caribbean, yet had never had octopus, to try it, and he loved it! We ordered the chicken and rabbit paella, but we should have ordered the seafood paella- the smell of our neighbors’ was enticing. The service was next level, with Jennifer being our primary waitress. The owner, Tomas, a master sommelier, apparently trains his staff extensively on all of the food and wine, and it shows!! Jennifer recommended two excellent Tempranillos, and a Pinot for our friend. And the pairings for our desserts were spot on as well. Overall, a tremendous spot, with an owner and staff who are masters of their craft, and extraordinarily hospitable.

This place has been in my "want to visit" list for several months and I finally found the opportunity to visit. I really appreciate the nice ambiance of the establishment and the upscale service that was provided. They offer a tapas style menu with shareable items, not full meals. The food was plated and presented well and very tasty. I felt that the price was high for what was received in regards to portion. At the same time, I do appreciate the fine culinary execution that went in to the experience. I'd recommend this place to couples looking for an upscale brunch/lunch or a date night out. I enjoyed it!

Someone took me to this wonderful place on a weekend and it exceeded my expectations. I was so relaxed and comfortable there. The waiter and waitresses have great customer service. The food was beautifully served and tasted great. Why couldn't I have found this place sooner? Not only did they serve food but they also have a wine bar next door and a venue. The wine bar would be my next trip.

Google
Disappointed all around. Atmosphere: Cute place. The front door is small and I am a big boy, so added to the airplane feel. We were excited by the menu and pictures from Google maps and already had a few ideas in mind. Food: We ordered the duck breast, scallops, and patatas. The patatas came out first. They were soggy, which was confusing as the menu said double fried. The sauces came across as one note and flat. We both said it needed something to complete the flavors. Then we compared to pictures online: it was missing the herbs and the (assuming) ham bits. The scallops were under done and very watery. There was a significant size difference and it showed in the different cooks on them. The extra moisture was the likely culprit of the lack of sear. We ate the outer bits and they lacked seasoning and the light crunch from the sear. The romesco sauce was hard to taste as it soaked up the scallop water, and we could not find any notes of truffle oil on the plate. The duck breast was over cooked to a well done, causing it to get chewy. The breast was quite small, with the fat making up half the overall duck portion. The amount of liquid shows it did not get to rest after cooking. The sweet potato puree was smooth, but desperately needed salt. The confit grapes were flavorful and juicy. We both wanted a bowl of those. Service: While the service started out okay, it quickly fell to almost non-existent. We had to flag down a server to get both of our empty water glasses refilled. I wanted to discuss our food issues with the manager, but we didn't see the manager until we were settling the bill. Overall: 1 Star. Based on the pictures we know the food can be prepared better, but to have all 3 of our dishes be wrong in the same order, that can't be overlooked as a simple mistake.

Every dish was not only delicious but plated beautifully. The duck leg and scallops were our favorites. The flan was the best we have had stateside. The server was very helpful and kind. We will most definitely be back for more!

The food was phenomenal, ambiance perfect for speaking to one another, welcoming music, overall super good. We will continue to go for our date nights and soon to book our Saturday cooking classes! Wine paired well with the food. I will definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
This is a gem in Old Town Spring! I'd known of this place for a while, but I was finally able to bring my pilot dad here for Father's Day. We really enjoyed the aviation theme, which they pulled off as unique and cohesive without feeling tacky. The interior has a relaxing ambiance, but very limited seating. It's reminiscent of a classy airport lounge, with classical guitar music playing in the background; but there's only about 4-5 table tops while the rest is bar seating. I would recommend making a reservation to ensure a seat. Our food came out more quickly than expected. I had to ask to be served water, which was a little surprising given that the service was otherwise good. Our waitress told us that the paella takes 35 minutes to make but we ordered the Paella de Mariscos for our table and not only did it come out very quickly, but it became everyone's favorite dish. I'd still advise you to order this first if this is something you want to try. Aside from the paella, the portions are understandably small since this is tapas, but we left feeling satiated. Because this is located in Old Town Spring, there is an entire parking lot as well as street parking, but finding a spot can be a hit or a miss in the summertime. Surprised to say that their bathroom is very cute and clean (walls are plastered with sheet music). Also know that there are huge West-facing windows here, which give this already small place a bright and open feel - but made our table very, VERY warm since we were having dinner as the summer sun was setting. This is an excellent establishment for special occasions, but think about bringing a small fan if you plan on visiting on a summer evening. - Ambiance: 5/5 - Drinks: 5/5 - Food: 4.5/5 - Service: 4/5

Yelp
This place is CLOSED! no one there. Why is it advertised as open in Spring. Went there at 6:30 PM Sunday Jan 19th & it was closed. Went there a few weeks earlier on a Friday at 6PM & it was closed. This place is not open & if it is when? No Sign No nothing.

Yelp
The service is amazing. I love the plane theme. The servers wore outfits that looked like flight attendants. Super cute. The food, tapas, was delicious but a bit expensive. The only alcohol they serve is wine. They have very good wines, but again expensive. I would love this place if they had a happy hour special and if they had other spirits, maybe in mini-airplane sized bottles. Overall, great little gem, but maybe for a fancy night out.

Yelp
Visited Plane and Level Up in Old Town Spring on Sunday. Seated promptly at noon, the beautifully decorated, albeit small, restaurant filled up quickly by 1:30. I shared - Fresh Bread Service ($10) - Albondigas ($18) - the meatballs were a burst of flavor with a rich blend of pork, beef, and black truffle. - Magret de pato ($28) - the duck breast, paired with sweet potatoes and confit grapes, was tender and delightful. While the dishes were delicious, the price seemed a tad high for the portion sizes, echoing sentiments from other reviews. Nonetheless, they offer a unique culinary experience in a charming setting, making it worth a visit for special occasions.

Yelp
I had lunch with four friends and I had the best time. They offer a tapas experience with an intimate wine bar. This place has it all and the wine list is exceptional. They are known for their Paella Saturday and included a pic of the paella that two of my friends had in the slides. They have recently added paella to a daily rotation just call if you have questions. I ordered bread service, Ensalada de Remolacha which is a red beet salad with orange segments, pistachios and a goat cheese mousse and I must say top 4 best salad I've ever had in my life. I also had Fritura de Alcachofa which is a corn starch fried artichoke in a romesco sauce. For the wine I had a red blend by Paul & Remy and a sparkling Rose .. forgot to write down the name. Such a cool date night spot or a great place for a business meeting. The service was amazing and the chef, manager and staff were all amazing. Joy was my server ask for her if you visit. Let's talk value. I do think this place is pricy though and that is why I dropped a star. It was amazing but it's not a place I could go to every week. I think my lunch total was $75 for just me and for lunch that's more than I usually spend. I also thought the portions were small especially my artichoke dish. If you check it out let me know.

Yelp
Thomas made our experience exceptional! We stopped in on a whim because of the airplane theme and our friend is a pilot. Thomas directed me to a lovely Tempranillo. He had a couple other selection ideas because there are so many options. All are unique to this restaurant! Our friend got the Plane & Level Martini (it's made with wine because they do not have a liquor license) and she was very pleased. My hubby got the Bock...he was a happy camper! We also tried the croquet & yellowtail tapas. Delish!! We finished it off with a taste of the Mas Amiel 85....not gonna spill the beans. Plan on pairing with the chocolate tort!!

Yelp
Good food but very overpriced. Unique design and a nice atmosphere - worth going there once to experience, but will not be returning in the near future.

Mercedes S.

Yelp
Service was so slow and we were the only ones here? Plus we ordered a salad and we ended up getting it to go since it was delivered AFTER the dessert. I want to come back and give the place another try since it was so cute and quaint inside but the slow service and salad to go was no acceptable for the amount we spent. The duck was amazing and the empanadas were good. The decor and ambience is so elegant and makes you feel like you're in Spain, at a tapas bar.

Hongsuk S.

Yelp
~2.4 stars. Came in for dinner for two on a weekday night. It's a nice cozy place. That being said, leave your kids at home as the place is tight and there are no high chairs. Pulpo a la Plancha - $24 This was a small tapa with four pieces of octopus legs with a bunch of chickpeas. The octopus was soft and flavorful, I just wish there were more pieces and slightly less cooked so we had a bit of a chew to the meat instead of it being uniformly soft. Seafood Paella - $70 Took about 30 minutes and was told before ordering. Dish was bigger than the tapa we had earlier but not all that big considering the paellas I've had in the past. Dish had two big prawns in the middle a few octopus chunks and mussels and squid, and the majority were clams. The prawns were delicious, not overcooked and soaked up all the paella flavor. Unfortunately, from there things went downhill. The rice was overly salty (probably to try to balance out the unseasoned mussels and clams) and the dish had an unusual amount of sand/grit from the seafood. I don't mind a little bit here and there but our paella had a very noticeable amount from not properly cleaning/releasing the shellfish. Also, not a huge biggie, there was no crispy bottom. We also ordered a salad but the server forgot to put it in. By the time the paella came out, I asked them to just cancel it if they hadn't already started. There was no apology or mention that they forgot. Otherwise, service was good. Reviews were good so we were excited to try it. Unfortunately, we must have come on an off night. Prices are definitely steep for the quantity (and quality). Wine ($16/glass) was good at least?

Yelp
Came here with a friend looking to try a nice tapas place. Unique style, quaint, and best of all delicious food, all this passes with flying colors (pun intended) Atmosphere: Very colorful but not overwhelming, the big seller for me was that the bar table is an airplane tail wing, giving reason for the name. Food: Tapas, so expect many good sharable perfect for brining a friend along. I shared a bottle of wine as well due to their selection. My favorite tapas were the ham, beef, and pork. There's quite a few options but the severs will be happy to assist. Service: As stated above friendly service and more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Plane & Level, it's plane to see that this place is amazing and worth a visit if you are around the area. Perfect for any outing with a friend and to share a conversation with.

Yelp
My friend and I came in on a girls night, this place was so unique and beautiful, very cozy snd intimate. Great for a date night! The staff was super friendly and attentive. We ordered a few of the plates. The food was good, but the portions were way too small for what they were charging. Overall, this place was really nice but we left hungry and went and got burgers and wings after somewhere else.

Starla W.

Yelp
If you love sharing small plates, great wine and a chill but elevated ambience this place is for you. They have a great selection of wines you can choose from by the glass or the bottle. One top of their menu they have daily specials you can choose from. Our waitress was amazing! She was very attentive and kept the water, wine and cocktails flowing. Most of us chose one of her recommendations which was a special. The lamb kabobs with the sweet potato purée was amazing! The flavors were so different but complimented each other so well! This place if you are alone, a couple, or in a bigger group!

Yelp
This was an interesting experience. I'll first say that I am from Spain so I am probably biased in my opinion. I really did enjoy the food. It was delicious and flavorful and fairly authentic. However, the price point was not that of tapas. The portion size compared to price did not add up. We spent over $100 and were nowhere near full. We actually had to go to another restaurant afterwards to actually feel like we had a full meal which was the first time I've ever done this. Now, could we have ordered more and spent a lot more? Yes, but I didn't want to. So if you are fine with the prices and can get your fill then great! Just be aware that these are very small portions as they are tapas sized. The croquetas de chorizo were delicious but much smaller than anything I've ever had in Spain. The scallops was my favorite plate. Very delicious. The patatas Bravas were fried to perfection and I just wish there had been more. The octopus was a little tough on the thicker end and very small. The basque cheesecake was not the burnt style I am used to but it was very delicious and I loved the mint and orange peel. Overall I loved the food just not the portion/price point ratio. It is a really nice small restaurant. We had no idea it was airplane themed so it was kind of confusing for the first ten minutes. I think it needs to be made more obvious. When we walked in the waitress kept saying you can sit at the wing or at a table and I kept asking her to repeat herself because I had no idea what she was talking about. She finally said bar. The bar is actually made out of an airplane wing but we had never been there and I couldn't tell from the door as people were sitting there so it was just confusing. The waitresses were even wearing flight attendant uniforms which was wholly unexpected. It was cute once we were aware of the themed experience. Service was great. Very professional and attentive. However being a Spaniard, the waitresses had a hard time understanding me when I ordered even though I was reading clearly from the menu. They also could not actually pronounce anything on the menu. They even had trouble saying grape varietals when explaining the wines. I think some training on proper pronunciation would be helpful since this is supposed to be an authentic high end experience. Now lastly there are two walls of shelves with rose wine right in front of glass window walls. While aesthetically pleasing...it was a very sunny day. I believe these are served to patrons and this exposure to sunlight is damaging the wine. We were very confused that a wine place would do this with their bottles.

Lynn J.

Yelp
The food was great. Very nice and beautiful restaurant. The food looked and tasted amazing Next time I will hopefully have more time to go to their wine bar. Service by the way was great on a Saturday.

Alex T.

Yelp
This is a hidden gem. Just got back home after a wonderful evening there. We ordered a lot (the tapas were that good) and had a bottle of wine. The charcuterie and empanadas was a big hit for us. The ambiance was great. To make it amazing (romantic) I would recommend dimming the lighting a little to make it more cozy but that's just me nitpicking. Loved the waitstaff to clientele ratio which added to the attention we and other patrons were getting. This is a small place which added to that coziness I mentioned above. This may very well be my go to place to decompress and enjoy a wine with tapas.

Jose A.

Yelp
This place has such a nice ambiance, music is very nice and relaxing. Very appropriate for the tapas style of food. Every single plate we ordered was perfect! Very tasty, perfectly cooked and amazing presentation. The service also was immaculate! We didn't order much because we made a mistake of having eaten ice-cream a little before coming here, so we were not on empty stomach. Nevertheless, we hope to come back soon to try the rest of the tapas.

Shannon L.

Yelp
We've been here twice and it never disappoints. The best customer service I've ever had at a restaurant, quick with food and wine suggestions, everything is tasty. You gotta try the jambon at least once, the meatballs are delicious, the wines are exotic and wonderful, and they have an aged port that's perfect for a special occasion...they draw it out of this huge decanter with a siphon...pretty fun!

Babette C.

Yelp
Cool tapas bar with authentic Spanish food. We got the paella which is a large load of food, the empanadas, and tried the iberico jamon which they carved off a leg right at the bar, something I haven't had the pleasure of tasting since my last trip to Barcelona. They served the jamon with these crackers that were so crunchy and perfect. We had so many bites of a lot of tapas, which is as it should be. It reminded me so much of nights with friends in Asturias stuffing ourselves full of tapas and American beer (for them it was imported so they thought Coors was fancy, lol). The only thing that was missing was someone pouring cidra above their heads into the glass and passing the glass around while everyone sips out of it for the sake of community. We got great service, but that might be because the friends we were with are regulars, so the staff already knew which wines they would order. It's a small room with a lot of people in it and everything we tasted was delicious. It's been a long time since I've said that so let me say it again- EVERYTHING was delicious.

Joel C.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the food at this place. Great flavor. My only issue is that it was very expensive. Also, I noticed they had quite a few wine bottles on shelves near windows. That's a lot of light and heat going into those bottles. Probably not the best placement for those. Especially with how expensive they are. I'd hate to spend a lot of money and get a wine that has been destroyed by the heat and sunlight.

Amber M.

Yelp
We lucked out - walked in after shopping. Wanted a cool glass of wine and ended up staying 2 hours. Stephanie is AMAZING! She answered all my questions and was so patient with us as we couldn't decide. All the staff was first class; attentive and friendly. We did a wine flight and had several tapas. There was an extensive wine list and a variety of food for the pickiest of eaters. Everything we had was amazing.

Kendall B.

Yelp
It is VERY small, so definitely make a reservation. It was also very pricey for what was actually served. I know tapas means small plates and I have had it many times but they are usually affordable small plates - not so at this place. Also, the octopus was not good - it tasted like the sea...in Galveston. We would not return. Positives - it is cute inside and does have good service.

Carmel R.

Yelp
I came from California to visit family and had such a great experience here! Food was amazing with all the different flavors, service was great, and the ambiance was pretty cool, knowing the bar is made out of a wing from a plane! Great atmosphere and appreciate our service with Jersey and his team! Thank you for the wonderful experience and definitely will come back!

Tianna H.

Yelp
Live jazz at Sunday brunch, exceptional wine and remarkable tapas in the heart of historic old town spring.

Jennifer H.

Yelp
This is a new must when in old town spring!! Incredible ambiance and delicious Spanish cuisine!!

Jennifer G.

Yelp
Excellent Rose Tasting! Really nice venue. Tapas was pretty pricey for what you get. Having been for tapas many times we were looking for a bit more seasoning and a better value. Chef behind the bar was very personable and seemed to enjoy speaking with customers.

Rosanne D.

Yelp
Wow. Authentic Spanish tapas in Old Town Spring? Yup! Not only are the dishes intensely (and wonderfully) flavored, the wine list is a delight. We stumbled in for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon and were absolutely blown away. We ordered the gambas, croquettes, duck breast, and about 10 other things. Each was beautifully presented with quite a flavor payoff. The octopus was divine! Having been to Spain 3 times, I can honestly say this place comes about as close to a great night in Madrid as you can get, absent an 8 hour flight!

Kate M.

Yelp
This Saturday we were visiting Houston, TX and we decided to go to Old Town Spring. This small restaurant has the best Spanish food I have tasted in the USA, I lived in Spain for 17 years and the flavors I found in each dish were as if I were in Spain. We started with a Galician bread that the manager told me that they bring from Galicia directly, Then we met the chef who made us feel at home, we let ourselves be carried away by all his recommendations, the octopus was a soft butter, the beetroot salad is to die for, we also ate the best Serrano ham croquettes and patatas bravas. the wine was also spectacular, and to end the night we ordered a manchego cheesecake that I never imagined eating such a creamy and flavored cheesecake. I'm sure we'll be back to this small and cozy place in TX.

Susan B.

Yelp
Fabulous atmosphere - decorated like an airplane lounge with stewardesses. The live music completes the ambiance and they even sang a song for Molly! The Plane & Level martini is amazing, just the right tartness. The scallops were cooked to perfection with the best flavor. The duck egg with mushrooms was interesting as our stewardess poured the tea over. Absolutely delicious! Outstanding experience all around!

Bob H.

Yelp
This restaurant gets better each time we go! I always love seeing the grand airplane wing that's been fashioned into a bar,(it's also our favorite place to sit when we go there). Last night we went back and one of the great things about this place is you never know what to expect. We dined on delicious their bread, which is actually made in Spain and sent over! That was followed up by grilled octopus, which was very tender and had amazing flavor. Alongside the octopus, we enjoyed fresh cut jamon. A real delicacy and hi-light of the meal. But I think my favorite this time was the tuna crudo, the flavors and herbs not to mention made this good, but what made it exceptional was the texture. It literally melts in your mouth. It's a feeling of satisfaction coupled with ecstasy consumes you as it fills your mouth. After these courses, we enjoyed the beef empanadas, tremendous in taste with a satisfying crunch from the pastry that it's wrapped in. And finally seared foie gras, which is one the most delicious tasting experiences you can ever have in a lifetime! Jenna and Thomas were excellent hosts. Their knowledge of the foods and preparations alongside the bountiful selections of wine available added to this amazing experience! Go to this place and experience one of the best culinary adventures you will ever have !

Randy L.

Yelp
We don't deserve this place. Plane & Level is among the best tapas restaurants at which I've ever dined. The wine list is fantastic and well thought out... they pour so many great bottles by the glass, that you'll never be miffed at your inability to try something new. Spring / the Woodlands doesn't deserve this place. I'm glad it's here--please come so I can come back. Standouts included the Gambas al pil-pil, the charcuterie board, the braised short rib, and the piquillo peppers. Honestly everything we ordered was wonderful. I should leave a lengthier review but the food pics and stars stand on their own. Don't miss this gem... it would have a home in the busiest, most competitive areas of any big city. What a true gem.

Demi T.

Yelp
What a gem!! I'm so glad my friend and I stumbled across this place. Fantastic wine and Spanish tapas! The atmosphere is modern and classy, with a plane/flight theme-- pretty unique. The service was absolutely fantastic, attentive, and very professional. All the tapas we tried had such a good flavor, and we highly enjoyed it. I would say to come here mostly for the experience, rather than getting full. We tried the croquetas de chorizo, albondigas, jamon, and empanadas. All were delicious. I definitely recommend to try the Jamon, which is one of their specialties. On Tuesdays they have oyster and champagne specials, and on Saturday they have a Paella and Rose special!

J A.

Yelp
This was our first date after having a baby, and wow it was worth waiting for. The food was all fantastic. We couldn't quite eat our way across their menu, but we tried! This seems to be one of those places where everything is divine; it's just a matter of deciding what sounds good to you. Our waitress was attentive without being overbearing, and the other employees were quick to run food/bread/water as needed. We'll definitely be back!

Jasmin M.

Yelp
What can I say? Lol! Definitely a unique atmosphere for a tapas place. Good selection of wine. They had four tables and a bar. I was greeted by a friendly waitress in a flight attendant uniform almost! Then I realized the theme was aviation. I opted for the grilled octopus and the duck breast topped with foie gras! Both were delicious. I was pleasantly surprised. Not a place if you're hungry as the portions are very small (not shareable). If you're in the mood for expensive tapas in a nice setting please don't hesitate to stop here. Ciao everyone!

Craig C.

Yelp
Can I give it 6 stars?! Absolutely blown away by this place. Thomas has created a place for unique & flavor packed, perfect tapas. Come hungry. Try it all. Oh, did I mention the wine list that he will personally guide you through? #sommelier

Tammy H.

Yelp
Ambiance- there's a lot going on but I love it! It's got an old school furniture in the second part of the building like you walked back in time. They have Spanish music and the most amazing band with sax player. I would think of being in this environment at being at a shell event center. Nice bar tucked in the back and delicious wine and tapas. We had the octopus, duck, beef empanadas, and mussels with saffron. For dessert we had custard and espresso. The octopus was cooked well with a nice char on it.

Jeremy Z.

Yelp
Excellent service. Decor is interesting. Very high priced food. Tomato bread tasted more like bruschetta than Spanish tomato bread. Meatballs and patatas bravas were good and true to Spanish cuisine. Overall the bravas was a fun reminder of food in Spain, albeit an expensive one.

Silvia W.

Yelp
Everything about this restaurant is superb. The waitress was sweet and very knowledgeable. It was my first time visiting and I will be back for their Saturday Paella cooking class. The meals are tapas and their wine selections were perfectly paired. Shaved truffled over the short braised ribs was my favorite dish.

Caroline S.

Yelp
We only stopped in for a glass of wine but really liked the atmosphere. It's small which is nice, you can have a conversation and hear each other. The staff was very friendly. We did look at the brunch menu which looked good but haven't tried it yet.

Laurie G.

Yelp
I am here from out of town, saw this place on Yelp and decided to visit on 2/3/22. I was not disappointed. This was a fun place. The atmosphere was so fun and interesting with the plane theme. The bar tenders/waitresses were dressed in flight attendant fashion and lovely inside and out. They were spot on with service and knowledgeable about the food and more importantly the wines and pairing them. Definitely give it a try if you like wine and Tappas. I wish I had taken a picture of the deliciously spicy, but not too spicy for me, shrimp.

Yelp
Service is great, place is small and intimate - great for date night. We stop by on a Sunday afternoon. Husband and I really enjoyed the service. We had beef empanadas/ you get two per order. Will come back and order something different

Yelp
Cute atmosphere but the food was honestly HORRIBLE. Tapas took a little to long to come out seeing's how we were the only table. Our servers were switched without explanation. Bravas are the entry to a good Spain inspired meal. The potatoes were undeniably frozen and flash fried. Similar to something Id imagine Denny's would serve. Un seasoned. Dressed with refrigerator temperature sauces. The croquettes were good. The only saving grace to this meal that we ended quickly. The crab meat piquillo peppers were room temp at best. I'm glad that's where we stopped. Didn't finish what we did order ( which are small tapas portions , wasn't worth eating ) asked our server what ounces the octopus was and she didn't know. $70 for a meal that felt like a waste of calories if we continued eating. Now searching for another restaurant because we are starving. !

Yelp
This is such a cool place. The bar is made out of a metal airplane wing and looks so sleek. The small interior bar is quaint and has beautiful, glass shelves displaying wine bottles. The servers are dressed as flight attendants and are very attentive. They suggested several wines to us and let us try them before we made our selections. We had some Great wine! The menu has a variety of small plates but know that it is expensive and not a lot of food. I would return for a quick bite and a glass of wine before dinner.

Yelp
Plane and Level is a hidden gem! Having lived in Spain for some time, this establishment hits very close to home. My favorite and simple dish: patatas bravas ... authentically Spanish! A great combo: albondigas & patatas bravas... so great we ordered it twice. We also tried a dozen oysters (half raw and half grilled), prime rib, beef empanadas, 2 glasses of rioja then a bottle of Galician red. The wine list isn't complicated or overwhelming. Very simple and straight forward with flavors for all palates. It's a must! It is definitely high-end but worth every penny. You won't br disappointed. We dined on a weeknight so we were seated in their more intimate dining room. We sat at the bar which was perfect for my husband and I. It's a great space but for small groups. They have a larger dining room open on the weekends. Neither will disappoint.

Yelp
My husband, son, and I went to Plane and Level last night for dinner. It was awesome! The tapas really did remind me of our trip to Spain. The oysters were delicious, the egg and caviar was a delight, the Gambas Al Pil-Pil was just the right amount of spicy, the Albindingos and Patatas Bravas were soooo delicious, the short rib with truffles was fantastic, the octopus was the star of the meal for sure. The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable. The wine selection is fabulous. My only small complaint and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the charcuterie board left things to be desired. Such a small amount of jelly, and a mustard or different jelly would've been much better than the celery relish. Plus there is such little meat to go with the bread and cheese. Also it was HOT in there. I was sweating by the end of the meal. It was so hot we skipped dessert.

Yelp
Randomly found ourselves on a Saturday morning in the old town spring area and stumbled upon this place for lunch. Hands-down the best place I've been in a while. The food was divine. We ordered around 5 dishes and all were incredible with special shout-out to the crab stuffed piquillo peppers and duck breast. Yum!! The service was top notch as well and you can tell the Owners are lovers of food and wine. We will be back for sure.

Yelp
Beautiful choices of wine and appetizers. I felt like I was in France. They provide samples to sip. Prices are very expensive but it's a classy place, despite the architecture of exterior. $$$$

Yelp
This plane ride was one of the best ones ever. Made my November! I stumbled upon this vintage aircraft themed tapas & wine bar while out exploring Old Town Spring. The flight attendants provided superb service. This was the best "airline food" I've ever tasted and paired well with the recommended wine. The flight attendants, Silhouette, and Yetzi ensured that the service was top notch and memorable. The experience was definitely well worth it.

Yelp
Upon arriving we were inspired by the decor. I felt like I was in a 1960's Airstream Camper but it really was a 1960's airplane with revits in aluminum. The oysters were firm with a salty sea flair and very delicious. Next we had the Iberico Ham, very good! We ordered a wine pairing from Spain. Specially made for the restaurant only 600 bottles available, a spicy light red that was very good. Then we ordered the roasted duck breast and the pork paella. Both dishes were excellent but we liked the duck the most. It was perfect. We finished with a handcrafted desert liqueur and flan made so perfectly. This is a great place with small plates to eat talk and drink. Flavors beyond compare but don't come here for an all you can eat pig out!

Yelp
Delicious food!! Incredible service! Met a great guy there from a great dating/matchmaking service called It's Just Lunch! He had eaten there before and knew some delicious tapas to order. Almost all the tapa plates we ordered were incredibly delicious. They are small portions of food at high prices just so you are prepared, but the food was amazing! The wine I had was so good! Wonderful ambience and I love how their bar is made out of an airplane wing!
