Plant B

I decided to give Plant B a try yesterday. I made a delivery order. The food arrived fast, hot, and ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! I had to go back today and bring a friend. It did not disappoint. My friend likes her food to have had parents-a true meat eater. She was convinced she was eating real hamburger. The sandwich, the sides, and the service was top notch. Definitely a 10 out of 10!

Don’t know how to feel about this place.. just hoping this place isn’t racist. Walked in and was told we had to order from the app. Asked if we were able to dine in.. & the employee seemed appalled that we asked to eat inside since we had to order thru the app. Ordered from the app only for 8 minutes to pass and every customer that came in after was able to order at the register. Really felt discriminated against at this restaurant. Food was ok. Not enough to tell anyone about it, or to ever visit again.

Not tasty. Also misleading because the name sounds like it's all vegan and it's not.

It’s delicious, but ridiculously priced. The burger is more like a slider (would you pay $9.99-$10.99 for a single slider?). I’d recommend the place if you just want a small bite. Otherwise, prepare to be unsatisfied and hangry.

I ordered a meal from Uber eats & paid $15 to cancel. Should have read the reviews first (on Google & Happy Cow). The restaurant is called Plant B and is listed under the Vegan category on Uber Eats. Really disappointed to find out this place isn’t actually vegan. This is misleading and careless, for vegans by choice and those who have food allergies. Be better.

It’s not vegan and even the impossible burger which is vegan…is GMO. Place has more 1 stars than 5 stars 😮

tl;dr it's laughable that this place is listed as a "vegetarian" restaurant - that gives all the wrong impressions about how much the managers of this place care about their service. This place is Plant B, which is in the same venue as Dog Haus bar (shares some of the same food menu I'm talking about here). Plant B is NOT safe for any dietary restriction! If you have an issue consuming egg or dairy and try to order something without a particular sauce, it's honestly entirely unreliable if they'll care about the details of your order. I wouldn't normally leave such a review, but this particular place used to give me the opposite impression: their staff knew about vegan-safe substitutes for bread for one dish, and kindly pointed that out without my prompting (because they noticed my asking about the sauce). Since those early days when they opened, they now not only have messed up >5 of 10 orders by putting the wrong ingredients on, but employees often don't actually know what does/doesn't have dairy (sometimes they'll have a vague notion that vegetarian means no meat), and two different managers separately told me about other restaurants I can order at that, that care about vegan-like requirements. Astonishing downturn in care for quality in delivering and respecting dietary requirements of an order. I'd be shocked if this place hasn't been cited for violations with not only how flagrant they are about it, but how they clearly don't care about feedback I've tried to politely deliver (instead telling me about some other restaurants I might try).

NOT A VEGAN RESTAURANT. We called and asked if all the items were vegan and were told they were, but they clearly arrived with animal-derived dairy and egg products. Looks delicious if you're vegetarian, but I can't help but feel they are intentionally misleading with their advertising, especially since they are literally called "Plant B". There was even an option for to add a "Fried egg PB" -- what does the PB stand for if not plant based?! Extremely disappointed.

Live reviewing as our order is prepared lol. Initially was confused when I pulled up because the address is actually for Dog Haus and the Plant B menu items can only be ordered online for pick up or delivery--it's a joint kitchen deal. Thought they were bamboozling vegans into this hot dog stop by cat fishing online lmao but the staff helped sort us out. Bag secured with a quickness and lemme just say this food was all gas no brakes, absolutely fire!

So let's put it like this the burger was so good I had to legit go back and make sure I didn't order meat. I didn't take one breath while eating! I just inhaled it! I'm not being dramatic or extra this was one of the best burgers meat or plant based that I've ever had. I also got it with a lettuce wrap instead of bread. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The right amount of crunch and different flavors. Very impressive!!

The service was extremely poor and the sandwiches are fairly small for the price I paid I would totally not recommend someone to drive far to this location definitely not great customer service either

We were looking for somewhere to get vegan food pretty late. It's a bit confusing as this restaurant is actually located inside another bar/restaurant with no signs. Food was pretty good for late night bar food. The inside was a bit of a hot mess, but I know all restaurants are understaffed at the moment, so I won't judge them too harshly on that. I definitely wouldn't go out of my way to go back, but it's a very good option for late night food if you're in the area.

I typically order from this place all the time on Uber eats and it's always been one of my favorite vegan burgers, but today I decided to ride a bike and come here in person and eat at the restaurant. Oh boy this was a really big mistake! I take pride in bringing my friends to the most amazing restaurants in Chicago because I only like good food and when I came here the service was so repulsive and the workers were so rude I almost left in tears. I can give them a 10 out of 10 on the vegan burger. Boy oh boy my friend got the kids meal chicken tenders and it took almost 30 minutes to come out and we had already finished our meal and when it arrived to the table it was rockhard and it's been in the fryer for 45 minutes. I expect more out of my favorite city Gotham city.

I don't agree with any of the 1 star reviews (and at least one is nonsense). Fantastic food. Buns particularly delicious. I don't compare veg burgers to meat burgers - they are just different food - but this is definitely close to a gourmet meat burger. Ordering again tonight.

The slaw and chipotle burgers are really good!!!! We love that there are plenty of toppings!
