Google
Very fast service my Friend Diana told me she’s a loyal customer so I had to come try it . It has a nice atmosphere with a simple but lengthy menu .. I felt like mine was simple order of the pura vida which was in the açaí section I just added coconut flakes but the options was endless I need to come back and try other items

Julie Staveland

Google
Super fast and friendly service. The bowls are a huge portion, lots of fresh fruit, crunchy granola and a delicious fruit blend.

Google
They were giving me such a hard time just because I wanted no banana in the base of a bowl and wanted outmeal instead. At the end they made me had banana even when I didn’t want to due to a health reason. The lady even used sarcasm at them she said “ok let’s bill you for your creativity now” just because I added two toppings. Worst experience I ever had at a place. Felt so bad like if I was being discriminated really. Such a weird feeling. At the end I got my order and opened while driving to work and realized they gave me walnuts instead of almonds, insane. UPDATE: Someone from the administration reached out to me via email and was pretty upset about the service I got since it’s not the culture of the place. The person was really nice and offered a compensation and apology on behalf of the team. I think this shows that they care about this things and I’m glad they do. Might have been an irregular behavior of an employee and not a reflection of the business’s culture.

If heaven had a smoothie bowl stand, it would definitely be Playa Bowls. I walked in just looking for a snack, and walked out ready to fight anyone who says fruit isn't a meal. This place is AMAZING. First off—let’s talk about the Goldie Mango. This thing changed my whole outlook on life. It’s like tropical sunshine in a bowl. I don’t know what kind of wizardry they’re using, but if I could legally marry a fruit bowl, this would be the one. The place is spotless too—like, “your mom is coming over” clean. And the staff? Super friendly, full of good vibes, and somehow always know what I need before I say it. I asked one of them what’s good and they didn’t just recommend something—they hit me with a mango-based prophecy. So yeah, if you haven’t tried Playa Bowls yet, you’re living a life only half lived. Get the Goldie Mango, thank me later. Just be warned: one bite and you’ll be in a long-term relationship with this bowl. No judgment. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I absolutely love Playa Bowls. We were lucky and found street parking out front. You get greeted with a smile immediately and the staff was super helpful. The menu is relatively large to me so instead of reading through it, they were able to recommend bowls and smoothies based on what I wanted. The space is very nice with bold letters and fun colored walls. The playa bowls were yummy and the fruits seemed fruit.

Google
Always A+ when I come here. The best Acai bowls, and the best service. The food taste fresh and they do not skimp you on anything! I love it here. The atmosphere is also really nice and relaxing, and the store is always clean. A really great experience all around.

Google
i ordered my bowl and by the time i was done ordering it was already done! such great customer service and were very helpful because it was my first time overall a great environment. i recommend to family and friends and they enjoyed aswell !

Yelp
I decided to grab a playa bowl today and thought it would a great treat to have on this hot summer day. The bowl was $13.91 for an electric mermaid, pitaya based bowl. The pitaya began melting to liquid state before I got back in the car, which I'm not mad about because it is hot & humid out. I found that they were skimping today with the fruit, along with the pitaya base. I only received one singular kiwi and little amount of pineapple and mango... most were pineapple and only tasted 2 small pieces of mango. The bowl looked just really sad and it was disappointing but I still finished it to prevent waste. Not sure what is going on; I just know I won't be returning any time soon.

Yelp
The Stupid Cupid bowl is my go to! If you are a strawberry lover, you will absolutely love this bowl. Then with the added nutella drizzle and coconut shavings with the crunch from the granola- it's literally heaven in your mouth. Just got delivery which was SUPER fast and the bowl wasn't even melted one bit . Totally recommend!!

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
I have to say - a chain is a chain! First and foremost the establishment did not feel clean. I can't explain it. I love a good smoothie that tastes fresh and flavorful which was not my experience at Playa Bowls. I noticed most of their smoothies have a milk substitute as their base which isn't my preference. I wish they had more variety on their menu which included some smoothies with juice bases. My smoothie tasted like a frothy strawberry milk. It was very underwhelming and disappointing. Maybe it's my fault for ordering a smoothie when they are known for their bowls....but overall the flavor wasn't fresh and it wasn't a smoothie consistency. I would go back for a bowl if I felt the fruit was fresh and the establishment was clean. With that being said, I'm not sure I'll return.

Yelp
This place makes smoothie bowls like no one else's . They have many flavors to choose from for your base and you can request it to be mixed with two different flavors (half and half). I always get pitaya + coconut with Nutella and it makes me so happy every single time. Definitely a healthy alternative if you're craving for shaved iced and ice cream. Highly recommend it! This place has indoor seatings and features a ocean vibe kinda theme. Staff are always friendly when taking your order and listening to your needs. Value: 9/10 Food: 9/10 Experience: 9/10 Service: 9/10

Yelp
My first time visiting Playa Bowls! Got the Nutella bowl to go and it was delicious! The order was ready very quickly and held up pretty well while driving back to eat. Would definitely come here again, especially in the summer!

Veronique S.

Yelp
This is my first time at this location. The establishment was clean and the staff were friendly. The menu offers a variety of bowls, smoothies, and fresh juices. Each time I come to Playa Bowls I feel like a kid in candy store.

John H.

Yelp
Perfect spot to grab a fresh acai bowl or smoothie on the go. Pricey, yes but you get the quality for the price. Their menu is vast so there is something for everyone. We got the Acai energy smoothie and our little one couldn't stop drinking it. It wasn't too sweet which was perfect for us. We got our orders quickly and the service was very pleasant. Love the vibes in here as well. The Hawaii beach theme instantly transports you away from the busy traffic of Milton.

Victoria N.

Yelp
Food was great! Service was quick and efficient! Loved the vibes! I have been to one on a coastal town and loved it so I had to stop by here in Boston!

Oanh H.

Yelp
I stopped by after hearing about it from my friends. Inside was clean and beach vibes all around. The menu had so many options for bowls, smoothies, and fresh juices. The gingerbread smoothie caught my eyes. It tasted like a those crust for cheesecake with a hint of warm spices. I love it and will try their bowls next time. Staff were quick and friendly.

Mike F.

Yelp
Food was ok. The fruit was fresh. Oatmeal was watery. Cool looking spot. The service was decent.

Steven W.

Yelp
I started to see so many Playa Bowls pop up and I decided to try the one in Milton at night. They were extremely busy with lots of pick up orders. The service was lackluster at that location. They do not customize bowls so the bowl that we ordered was borderline too sweet for my liking. Location and decor were okay.

Sophie B.

Yelp
Way overpriced. So not worth it. Subpar ingredients. Mango weren't even ripe. Asked for double kiwi, got 5 slices. When i asked about it they said they usually give 3 slices. So they didn't even double it... Granola tastes cheap Pitaya base is fine. Green base is really good NGL so 2 stars.

Bryana R.

Yelp
Yesterday I had a really great customer service experience with the woman at the register. Enough so that it was worth downloading this app! She not only recommended which base I should try (my first time having an açaí bowl!) but she also followed up asking how it was and if I wanted any additions. Overall a really thoughtful and sweet girl- deserves employee of the month!

Tiff L.

Yelp
Playa Bowls serves up healthy and delicious bowls and smoothies! I tried the Nutella Açaí Bowl and the Pumpkin Pie Smoothie. The Nutella açaí bowl includes pure acai topped with granola, banana, strawberry, coconut flakes, nutella drizzle. The Pumpkin Pie Smoothie tasted just like pumpkin pie and it just the perfect amount of sweetness. Both were very delicious and definitely the perfect way to start the day! There's so many options on their menu and I can't wait to come back to try more!

Carita H.

Yelp
I always love coming here for a refreshing meal after a good workout. I usually get the tropical bowl but today I wanted to try the dragon fruit bowl called the electric mermaid. I gotta say it was also not bad. I got extra pineapples because I didnt want coconut flakes and they happily substituted it for me. For the first time since they opened they now allow seating indoors which was nice. I dont have to carry my bowl home and have it start melting as I'm driving anymore. The vibe feels like you're in a beach shack off the shore of some island you stumbled upon its cool gotta trust me.

Lasoni B.

Yelp
Um they where rude, my first time going in and 2 of the workers had a really bad attitude because I didn't know exactly what they had and I tried to describe what I wanted from them

Corrina L.

Yelp
My partner and I live close by and we've ordered from here a handful of times and it's fairly consistent. It is definitely overpriced but even so we enjoy their bowls (the Electric Mermaid is our favorite). There have been times where the fruit tasted more frozen and less fresh than usual but overall it's fine and we'll continue to eat here when we need an açaí or pitaya fix.

Vickey B.

Yelp
Tried the Power Bowl @ Playa Bowls in Milton after a friend brought me one from the Playa Bowl in Brockton... very different, just totally different... will try it again, maybe they had an off day... will definitely go to the Brockton store.

Michelle T.

Yelp
I unfortunately had to give them three stars for their açai bowls. I usually expect refreshing and healthy, rather I got an overly sweet bowl of half granola and half açaí with a generous drizzle of honey. The fruit itself is sweet enough and doesn't require all the other fillers. If there were less honey, less granola and more açaí, I would be more enticed to come back. On the bright side, the bowl was beautifully presented. Also the service was 5 stars. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

Jonathan M.

Yelp
I'd have to say the best smoothie fruit bowls I've ever had. Ive had quite a few and wanted to give up trying but a coworker recommended playa bowls and I was addicted. The generous portion they give for the price you pay is well worth it. I gave 4 stars only because of my consistent mediocre to poor experience with customer service from being attentive, prompt, efficient, and friendliness. Parking is scarce and traffic is mod to heavy in this milton location. I order always through DoorDash and Uber eats to avoid their customer service and accessibility.

Thu N.

Yelp
I have been craving for Açaí bowl since fall started. Here we go, found Playa Bowls and I'm so in love with this place . I ordered Nutella Açaí Bowl and Stupid Cupid. The frozen Açaí they use as their base is the absolute best! My Nutella Açaí Bowl was so good, not watery, and the fruit were also perfectly thinly sliced. They have a nice menu options as well as variety of add-on toppings. I'll definitely comeback when I need an Açaí bowl fix .

Yelp
I am writing this review based on what I experienced on 5/4/2022. PLEASE everyone be safe and don't take proper hand washing as optional. Poor practice is how people get sick. I feel this information is important to pass on. On my last visit to the Playa Bowl located on Adams st in Milton, I witnessed disturbing hygiene practices. The cashier was switching between using a touchscreen POS system and using the same gloved hands to touch/cut fruit, utensils, storage containers etc. She did not wash her hands or change her gloves between tasks. Keep in mind the customer touches the same screen to pay for their purchase. Ironically, the health department was in the store during my visit speaking with the owner. I related what I witnessed to an individual who I was told was the manager, said stated that she would take care of it. Maybe it was just this one individual? What's crazy is this person didn't even do the right thing with the health department on site. 5/9/2022 - update DONE DONE DONE... different clerk same poor practice. The young lady left the counter cutting fruit, took 2 orders at register, went back to cutting fruit. At no point did she ever change or remove her gloves, or wash her hands. After she picked up a strawberry with dirty hands /gloves I politely asked her to remove them and wash her hands. She, along with the other 2 workers, looked at me with shock and disgust. HOW DARE I ASK HER TO WASH her hands. I don't understand why there is such a lack of basic hygiene practice, especially in plain view of customers. AND given the fact the health department was just there. I can honestly say that I LOVE Playa Bowl, however, I won't be back. On average I would spend $26-$40 each visit after driving 35 mins to get here.

Yelp
It's one of my favorite açaí chains. The fruit is fresh and it's a big serving when you get a bowl. I was so happy they decided to put a location in Milton/Quincy area! Although, some say it can be pricey, I think it's worth the quality and the serving size you get.

Lisa C.

Yelp
Obsessed, so many bowls and options to try. Loved my bowl, have been craving them ever since I left. Fun vibe inside. Lots of staff working quickly. Order ahead to save time. Parking can be tricky.

Brittaney M.

Yelp
The bowls are fire, the customer service is trash. I would recommend but just don't expect nice people.

Bridget Q.

Yelp
Was excited for playa bowls to come to the area. Unfortunately I got sick from their food a few months ago. Thought it might have been a fluke and decided to give it another try recently and unfortunately got sick again. I've seen their workers touching everything including picking at their teeth and then going back to touching/ prepping the food without washing hands/ changing gloves so I guess I shouldn't be surprised. I will not be coming back here, better off going to Revive in Milton for smoothies/ bowls

Kate M.

Yelp
I've been coming here for a few months. In the beginning it was great. Recently the smoothies are not correct. I get the pink pitaya and it's with pitaya, banana, pineapple, and coconut milk on the menu. Now on there wall it use to say that as well. Now it just says pitaya and coconut milk. I informed the person taking the order. Once I received the smoothie it was wrong even though I communicated that last time it was wrong as well. I believe I keep getting what's on the wall. If they changed the smoothie that's one thing. To tell me that the fruits are all together already for a smoothie that's different. I would like to know what's the right way for this smoothie to be made. Even when you look at the smoothie, you can tell it's just pitaya. I'm not mad just frustrated because the smoothie was amazing before.

Yelp
Playa bowl is good! What I ordered today was a Dragonberry bowl, it was delicious, except for the spoon that they apparently blended into it. Chunks of green plastic found everywhere in the bowl. Who knows how much plastic I ate before noticing that I couldn't chew the "seeds" in my mouth. Very disappointed and had to throw the rest of the bowl away. Place is also understaffed and very backed up when I arrived.

Jennifer K.

Yelp
Super nice delivery people and best açaí bowl ever!! Prices are a little high but probably similar to others since everything has become more expensive!!

E M.

Yelp
Almost every time I place an order online or in person my order is wrong. But this last time I decided to bring the order back and got a refund. I explained to them that my order is almost always wrong and they just give me this blank stare with no apology. Want to really like this place but it's so disappointing. They don't really read or follow directions especially if it's been specified to online order. So bizarre and not a place for me to spend my $. Need improvement on attention to details.

John L.

Yelp
Best açaí bowl I've ever had. The banana base is out of this world. I go there weekly.

Meg M.

Yelp
Playa Bowls. I LOVE playa bowls. The fruit is always so fresh, and it's just such a refreshing treat, especially in the summer. I eat from here eat too often and I'm not even a little bit mad about it. I LOVE the Nica bowl.

Maureen P.

Yelp
I love picking up a chia bowl here. The fruit is always fresh and plenty of it. The service is always excellent.

Krizia V.

Yelp
Apparently good luck only strikes three times. Ordered the matcha smoothie and power bowl on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday and they were amazing! Super delicious, refreshing, portions were perfect. Naturally I had to go back on Monday morning and I was terribly disappointed. The smoothie contained large pieces of fruit so I couldn't even drink it with a straw. The proportions were off making the matcha tea very overwhelming. I could not ingest it at all. Maybe the lesson is not to go first thing Monday morning or don't go more than three times.

marcia g.

Yelp
Unhealthy packaged as healthy. Don't fool yourself. Check ingredients and calories. Like a dessert.

Cassandra F.

Yelp
I got a custom acai berry bowl with strawberries, banana, mango, granola, and peanut butter. It was good. I usually enjoy a fruit bowl in the morning for breakfast but this wasn't very hearty. For example, the granola was like a powder/ dust. And the peanut butter wasn't natural it was a liquidized version. Again it was good but I wouldn't get it again for breakfast plus for the price, no no.

Meaghan M.

Yelp
smoothie was pretty good, a little watered down with not a ton of flavor. decent, though

Joe L.

Yelp
I parked in the dentist parking lot around the corner because the parking situation in East Milton Square is just nuts (how about we turn that intersection into a parking lot instead of a park huh?). When I first entered the store it was so bright it nearly gave me the first smile I'd have shown in a week. I looked at the menu and ordered the Nutella bowl (açaí based) and a smoothie. To my surprise the bill rang up over 20 dollars so I took out my American Express platinum so the wife wouldn't question why I'm spending so much on a meal for myself and not bringing anything home for her. I sat outside and are in my midsized sedan car and spilt some of the bowl on my passenger seat which was a haste to clean because I don't have leather seats. It was a good bowl and the smoothie was adequate except for the pieces of almond getting stuck in the straw which is why I wouldn't recommend getting a child the smoothie. Overall it seemed a bit overpriced and less than it was built up to be but the customer service was great as the cashier said my shoes were "fire". I hope that is a good thing.

Stacia Q.

Yelp
I've Tried playa bowl in Milton 3 times. I love the concept but the execution is poor. Today I got a smoothie which to me you should be able to drink through a straw but mine had chunks in it & unblended strawberries. 5 whole strawberries. There's no seating so you have to take it to go & I didn't realize the state of it until I got to my car and left otherwise I would have requested a do over. The time before Last time I got an açaí bowl & when I opened it, I saw what looked like purple water with fruit floating in it. The prices are on the high side which I would be ok with if I was getting quality but overpriced for what I got. The parking is difficult as well. I don't see a reason to go back. Three strikes & I'm done. It's disappointing.
