I am writing this review based on what I experienced on 5/4/2022. PLEASE everyone be safe and don't take proper hand washing as optional. Poor practice is how people get sick. I feel this information is important to pass on.
On my last visit to the Playa Bowl located on Adams st in Milton, I witnessed disturbing hygiene practices. The cashier was switching between using a touchscreen POS system and using the same gloved hands to touch/cut fruit, utensils, storage containers etc. She did not wash her hands or change her gloves between tasks. Keep in mind the customer touches the same screen to pay for their purchase. Ironically, the health department was in the store during my visit speaking with the owner. I related what I witnessed to an individual who I was told was the manager, said stated that she would take care of it.
Maybe it was just this one individual? What's crazy is this person didn't even do the right thing with the health department on site.

DONE DONE DONE... different clerk same poor practice. The young lady left the counter cutting fruit, took 2 orders at register, went back to cutting fruit. At no point did she ever change or remove her gloves, or wash her hands. After she picked up a strawberry with dirty hands /gloves I politely asked her to remove them and wash her hands. She, along with the other 2 workers, looked at me with shock and disgust. HOW DARE I ASK HER TO WASH her hands. I don't understand why there is such a lack of basic hygiene practice, especially in plain view of customers. AND given the fact the health department was just there.
I can honestly say that I LOVE Playa Bowl, however, I won't be back. On average I would spend $26-$40 each visit after driving 35 mins to get here.
