The Best Things to Eat at Disneyland

"There are so many things to love about Plaza Inn’s fried chicken, not the least of which is that the quick-service restaurant usually has plentiful seating, making it a good place to sit, take a break, and take in a view of Sleeping Beauty Castle. The fried chicken plate has been a mainstay at Disneyland since day 1, and it’s a reliably good and hearty meal, with three pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, and a biscuit. It’s a pretty big, shareable portion but the chicken can also be ordered a la carte." - Julie Tremaine

How Amusement Parks Use Fried Chicken to Sell the American Dream | Eater

"Set in a pink, three-tiered Victorian mansion just off Main Street U.S.A., this iconic park restaurant is best known for its much-loved fried chicken dinner — a longtime favorite of the park’s founder — typically served as three pressure-fried pieces with mashed potatoes, vegetables and a fluffy buttermilk biscuit. It's positioned as a generational, must-eat attraction for visitors, commanding nostalgic loyalty and a premium price (noted at $18.99) as part of the classic amusement-park experience." - Amy McCarthy

Google
Where do I start?!?! By far the best fried chicken ever!!!! It’s a full on dinner and you can’t go wrong with it. I like to go and eat during the hour the fireworks will be held. It’s a dinner and a show, is how I see it. They also have a pit roast which is really good, green beans, and oh my the mashed potatoes!!! You can’t go wrong on whatever you decide to eat here. This is my favorite restaurant at Disneyland. We really enjoy this place and the cast members are always friendly and very nice. Whatever you decide to get, believe me you will not be disappointed. Want a good dinner worth your penny??? Then this is it my friends. DELICIOUSNESS!!!

Google
There’s a really long line out of this place for their fabled fried chicken, but honestly I thought it was just ok. Good for theme park standards I suppose. It’s cafeteria style so you line up at the window for the dish you want and receive it from the worker. The workers are nice. Ambiance is… meh, ok. A little dated, perhaps, but maybe that’s what they were going for. I would probably eat here again if the line wasn’t too long.

Yesterday we had dinner at Disneyland’s Plaza Inn, located at the end of Main Street on the right side just before the pathway into Tomorrowland. We ordered the Chicken Dinner with three pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans and a biscuit ($19.99) and the Salmon Diner with green bean/corn/tomato mixture and mashed potatoes ($18.99) and we shared a slice of Rainbow Cake ($7.79). This was some really tasty Fried Chicken, well worth visiting to enjoy. The Salmon was also really tasty with a cream sauce on top. The Rainbow Cake was really moist with a nice light vanilla flavor. This is not a buffet, and it’s a restaurant where you order your food at the counter, you receive your food then pay at the register before seating yourself either indoor or outdoor. Inside seating is more comfortable. I would say that we would order the same meal again for sure but would also be interested in trying other menu items.

1. The portions on the chicken plate are generous! 2. The spot has fun casual vibes as it is located on Main Street! 3. The staff was friendly and tjmely with my order! Note: There is a separate area in the cafeteria that only serves chicken! Photo: Chicken Plate

Google
Definitely one of the better places to eat dinner in Disneyland. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, but a little dry. The mashed potatoes were pretty good, just not super flavorful. And the green beans were decently good. The food is super quick to get and there is lots of seating (which after a long day on your feet is a must). Overall, not too bad!

Google
Dined here twice, once for an event dining package and once for the character dining Minnie & Friends Breakfast buffet. Delicious both times. The characters I saw were Minnie, Daisy, Pooh, Tigger, Pluto, Chip, Dale, and one or two of Cinderella's mice, specifically Suzy. It is one of 4 restaurants that I know of that has character dining, and this one is the only one inside the park, so you need park tickets and park reservations to get in. Of course, it was pricey, but when on vacation, and for the sake of the smiles on the kids' faces, it felt worth it. It also accomplished one of my kids' goals: to get the majority of the classic character's autographs. Instead of us spending all day chasing characters and waiting in long lines, the characters came to us, while we ate. And they do make many rounds to ensure to greet every guest.

mike H.

Google
Service is great, wonderful to visit with the characters, food is awesome as usual. Just wish they hadn't gotten rid of the whipping cream. I remember coming years ago and you could put whipped cream on top of your waffles. Like some other things that are missing from the park lately -- used to be able to buy really good fudge at the park. I heard it's only available at Knot's Berry Farm now?

Google
Just had the Disney Plaza Inn set Dining package, so no option to try chicken others rave about. The most expensive meal of our trip, so expectations were high. Meat loaf and dessert were ok, but half a lettuce with some dressing does not make a salad. Forget about the "crispy carrot..." only got 4 slithers of what looked like soggy toilet paper. Staff were nowhere to be seen on arrival, so approached server marked check-in where we were directed back to a vacant check-in desk. Always addressed as "friend" but didn't feel friendly when as a first timer, we tried to clarify package details. Venue presentation and price don't match the food hall service on offer. Should have eaten at the High Key club back at hotel.

Yelp
The five stars is for the fried chicken alone. The fried chicken is SO good! This is the fried chicken that was originally in New Orleans square in Disney (where Tiana's palace is now). My family loves this fried chicken, it is a must. The chicken is juicy, the fry is perfectly seasoned and crunchy. It is just on a whole different level. The green beans that came with it were also pretty tasty. The biscuit was the only thing we could all pass on - it needs to be warmed up or something, too much uncooked flour on the outside. But still worth it to get the chicken! Plaza in is a quick cafeteria-style restaurant. Tip: don't go to the station straight ahead when you enter, go to one of the stations on the sides. They all sell the same thing, and you get fresher chicken if you go to the sides. They get you in and out of the cafeteria area quickly, and there is plenty of outdoor seating. There is also some indoor setting if you prefer. They bus your tables, so don't worry about where to take your trays when you're done.

Yelp
A must-visit when you go to Disneyland. This is where I go whenever it's my first night in the park. It feels homey and old-timey. It's a classic. Get the fried chicken. It's a large portion and this isn't your neighborhood KFC or Popeyes! Disney does fried chicken well. They also have nice seasonal cakes and daily salads.

Yelp
We usually go to the character breakfast at Storytellers Cafe in the Grand Californian but decided to try something new this time. The Plaza Inn buffet is not nearly as good. It's got omelets, eggs, bacon, waffles, etc., but no salads or lunch foods like at Storytellers. The overall quality of the food was disappointing. Also, the characters, though friendly, are not dressed in cute adventurer outfits like at Storytellers. But the Plaza Inn is still the only place in the park (that I know of) that serves fried chicken on the bone, and it's delicious. So are the mashed potatoes and gravy. Once, during Pixar Fest, I had a red, blue, and yellow layered Toy Story-themed cake from Plaza Inn that was so divine, I haven't stopped thinking about it since. Sadly, they don't have it anymore... but maybe they'll bring it back one day. In short: skip the overpriced character breakfast and go to Storytellers instead, but definitely try the fried chicken plate.

Yelp
I finally got to try the Plaza Inn. When I arrived, I waited in line as they transitioned from breakfast to lunch. Before opening, they gave a slight history about the Plaza Inn and a celebration for those celebrating their birthday. People celebrating birthday got to go up, the line sang happy birthday, and they rang a bell. Just a little more magic for those celebrating their birthday. I came to try their fried chicken and the 70th slice of cake. The fried chicken meal came with 3 pieces (drumstick, thigh, and a breast) with mashed potatoes and gravy, and green beans. After paying, I asked for boxes and bagged it up to take back to the hotel. Even after the walk and settling in before eating, the chicken had some crisp. It was lightly seasoned and the breast was a little dry. The mashed potatoes and gravy were very good as was the green beans. The 70th celebration cake was not my favorite. The jam part of it was quite hard almost like a firm jello and made eating the cake difficult.

Yelp
Nicely decorated inside and also has patio and outdoor seating. Quick service going to the counter to order. Prices for dinner were very reasonable. Pot roast, mashed potatoes and green beans (with no gravy and no biscuit) made for a great gluten free meal. Roast was flavorful and moist. Beans and potatos had great taste as well. Others in our group had salmon and chicken strips. All was very good!Very pleased, highly recommend.

Yelp
Looking for dining packages to Paint the Night Parade at Disneyland, Plaza Inn was the only place offering the package. We ended up booking a lunch, dining package, for the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration parade at 2:40 P.M on a Saturday afternoon. The Plaza Inn is located in Main Street, U.S.A at Disneyland Park. It's right at the entrance to Tomorrowland. We ended up going a little early, around 2:10, and the team member let us in for the dining package! We were provided a Paint the Night Badge and tickets to the reserved seating, which was right next to the train station and Disneyland entrances. The dining package included the following Adult Dining Package Menu Mushroom gravy-glazed meatloaf Baby wedge salad Pea purée over creamy mashed potatoes Herbed crispy carrots Paint the Night-themed dessert Fountain drink Child Dining Package Menu Crispy chicken tenders Macaroni & Cheese Apple sauce and baby carrots Dinner roll Paint the Night-themed dessert Fountain drink The Lunch per adult was $55.00 and $28 per child. Magic Key discount is accepted at the Plaza Inn. It was super busy when we went to the Plaza Inn, but luckily, we did find a table to sit at inside the restaurant. Once we checked in for the reservation, we went to pick up our meal which was already pre-made. The best part of the dining package was the Pea purée over creamy mashed potatoes and the herbed crispy carrots. The meatloaf was so dry and flavorless. It was also cold. I didn't eat much of it. My daughter enjoyed the chicken tenders and macaroni and cheese though! Some of the other dishes from the menu looked really good though! The fried chicken and the pasta looked scrumptious! It was nice to take a break from the theme park rides and sit down inside a restaurant though! I'm glad I had a chance to try out the Plaza Inn during lunch time! We had a great time at the Paint the Night Parade. It was one of the best Disney parades I've seen yet.

Yelp
My body needed a salad after a week with minimal vegetables so got the Cobb salad. Romaine lettuce, chicken, bacon, egg, tomato and bleu cheese with bleu cheese dressing. They mix the salad for you. The flavors go wonderfully together and at a reasonable price of $15.49. You get a lot of food for the price and had trouble finishing it. The chocolate gooey brownie cake is divine but very sweet b The dining room is lively and noisy when everyone is talking and could barely hear the music. The person who made my salad and the cashier were friendly.
google avatar

Yelp
Paint The Night Parade Package $55 per adult, plus tax includes salad, meatloaf entree, dessert and drink along with reserved seating for the 830 pain the night parade. Totally worth it for the reserved seating. Does not include an actual seat or bench of any sort but the sidewalk area has a great view. The food was surprisingly good, very filling. Check in lady and the ladies who prepared our meals were really nice. Didn't interact with anyone else. Dining room could've used some attention. Overall a good experience, glad we purchased the package.

Yelp
Absolutely worth the character breakfast/brunch buffet price tag!! Dining here will set you back $50 for each adult and any child between the ages of 3-9 will cost $30 [prior to taxes]. Food offerings range from assorted cereals, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, french toast, fresh cut fruit, & the infamous Mickey waffles. There are baked good such as: croissants, muffins, & danishes. The popular station seemed to be the customizable omelets-if you're into this kinda thing. The food honestly isn't that great. It's just your average American breakfast items. The biggest selling point for me was the character interactions. Why chase your faves around the park when they can make their way to you??! My little one lit up as an assortment of characters made their way through the dining area. 5/5 stars! Our little one didn't eat much due to being overly excited, overstimulated, & too occupied in scoping out her favorite characters but seeing that extra sparkle in her eyes truly made for such a memorable experience. **extra bonus points for PI's 3pc fried chicken plate**
google avatar

Yelp
This is my new favorite spot to eat in Disneyland. I've always walked by not realizing this place requires no reservation, the food is served quick cafeteria style and best of all it's hot/fresh and affordable! We got a few things, but the stand out dishes were the fried chicken plate and pot roast. They were a lot better than we thought, and the value beats any of the fast food stalls in the park. Why pay $60 for lunch at the Galactic Grill, when you can dine here for the same price? I'll definitely be coming back and looking forward to trying other items here! Mickey approved!

Yelp
The Plaza Inn has become my go-to place for dining during my Disneyland visits. Their service is incredibly fast, ensuring that I never have to wait long for my food. If you have a sensitive or allergy to gluten, you can request to speak with the chef and order a gluten-free meal. The chef will personally come to discuss your allergy, write it down, and then bring out your food. The food is delicious, and they even have a gluten-free dinner roll.

Yelp
Oh man. Maybe we were just spoiled from having our last character breakfast at Tusker House in Animal Kingdom (where the food is incredible). For the price, do not expect much for the food. We'll just say that it's more about the character experience. Breakfast fare is as standard as it gets - eggs, waffles, bacon, french toast, a few pastries and very lackluster fruit. It's like free continental breakfast at a hotel. At Tusker House (which is the same price) you can find carving stations, international cuisine, charcuterie, wild dessert selection and so much more. In any case! It's still super cute. The characters walk around and give the kids so much attention. Photos, hugs, dances, all of it. The characters were a bit underwhelming though, which was also a bit disappointing given the price tag. Instead of chip and dale and the mouse from Cinderella we would've loved to see some of the main disney characters. The brunch is advertised as 'Brunch with Minnie' and Minnie also does not walk around. You'll need to wait on a line to take a photo of her. My four year old daughter doesn't love rides and her thrill is meeting characters. For us, this was a worthy use of time and money. For others whose day might be spend waiting for rides and have older kids I would say it's absolutely not worth the money for food.

Yelp
Lunch was fine but, I just really don't get the hype here. I have come here for breakfast in the past, it's real standard breakfast like, casino/hotel style. It's not special and it's not terrible. That's it. This is one of those places in Disneyland that removes some of the magic and softly reminds you that you're still in an amusement park. The fried chicken, is just run it the mill fried chicken, and I hate to say it but fast food fried chicken takes the top stop over this for sure. There are plenty of other options in Disneyland to eat that are more unique and stick out way more than Plaza. These 2 fried chicken plates and the Minnie Bundt Cake came in around $50, which is actually pretty decent so I'll give them that. With Blue Bayou starting at least $50-60 per person, Plaza is a much better deal for a sit down. Another thing keeping this as a choice for your lunch is the ambiance and seating options, there are always plenty of seats, and you can do indoor and outdoor. It's a very cool spot to watch Main Street. As far as service, it's Disneyland, all the service here is world class.

Yelp
Wow wow wow wow wow wow WOW! We come from the other side of the state and we practically come to Disneyland JUST FOR THIS FOOD. Incredible chicken! Incredible Main Street view! Just wow.

Yelp
Always my favorite place in Disneyland for old style fried chicken. Love the crispiness , meat tender. The mashed potatoes with gravy so tasty plus the green beans. For the price so reasonable and big portion. I love their triple chocolate cake was mouthwatering. It's a self service cafe plus all you can drink sodas or water. Service was self serve . Attendants were very friendly. Ambiance so Disney. The happiest place in Spirhern California....Mickey's kingdom

Yelp
The fried chicken here is a must try!! It's perfectly crispy and they give you 2 big pieces, they also serve it with a biscuit, green beans, mashed potatoes and gravy. Two people could easily share a plate which is nice. The pot roast is also pretty good but a little salty. The decor inside is really nice and they have a sunroom area with beautiful stained glass, as well as plenty of seating outside.
google avatar

Leslie B.

Yelp
Wow! I'm impressed the plate that I got was perfect! Service was quick. Once you walk in it's cafeteria style, you tell them which plate you want. Line moves quickly. *There is no mobile order option for this place ! It's so pretty inside too. I got the chicken dinner , mashed potatoes were delicious and the green beans were cooked perfectly, The star of the show is obviously the chicken of course , so crunchy and seasoned just right! My least favorite was the biscuit , only because there was no honey to pair it with. But over all 9.5/10 will return !

Yelp
Review is based on Minnie & Friends breakfast buffet...3 stars for the mediocre food and price. 5 stars for all the characters you can meet in one place. Ultimately you're paying the price to meet Minnie & Friends without having to wait in lines. It was $107 including tax for 2 adults. Our kiddos are under 3 so still free. Breakfast is buffet style and was just okay. Normal scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, Minnie waffles, fruit etc. Quality was meh, the breakfast at storyteller is much better (but it's also more). We opted to do this breakfast because our daughter loves Minnie and it was totally worth seeing her smile and excitement. We were able to see Minnie, Daisy, Chip, Dale, Pooh, Tigger, Suzy. The breakfast was worth doing for characters but not worth it for the food.
google avatar

Ashley W.

Yelp
Came here for Breakfast with Minnie and friends for my three year old, and as expensive as it was $30/child, and $50/adult, it was worth every penny seeing her level of excitement and happiness when meeting the different cast members. You pay for the experience, hands down. The food is good as well, this was a breakfast buffet and they had customized omelette station, chicken with biscuits and gravy, potatoes, eggs, yogurt, cereal, fruit, and all kinds of pastries. It's very clean, efficient, and you meet several characters. For what it is, it's at Disneyland, it's worth it to experience one time if your littles will love it!
google avatar

Kevin L.

Yelp
The best value at the park! Deliciously fried golden chicken, mashed potatoes with a delicious gravy, and even greens are all included. It is priced well for a generous portion of food. There is standard outside seating, which is nice to get some air. You pretty much grab your food cafeteria style and the line seems to move quickly for fried chicken and pot roast. Salad line definitely takes a little bit longer.
google avatar

Billy L.

Yelp
It was my first trip to Disneyland, and my friends and co-workers kept hyping up this place. Honestly, the fried chicken is okay. It was nothing special flavor-wise. Also, the mashed potato, green beans, and biscuits was nothing to rave about either. It feels like a to-go meal from the Safeway deli. Jollibee's fried chicken is still my favorite.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
My neighbor told me that the fried chicken here was really good and he was right! It was real good and this is a super casual place to sit outside and enjoy a Halloween parade go by! It's more of a cafeteria style experience where they have stations and dish out your food. There are drink machines and on today's menu there was pasta. It was hard to get a reservation for this place, maybe we lucked out this time? The staff is friendly and nice but it's pretty self serve. All the outside tables have umbrellas which really works for you in the California summer. Overall, nice place! I do think the better food options are at California Adventure but this is one of the better spots at Disneyland !
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Quite possibly my favorite food inside Disneyland! Fried chicken 10/10. It's always superb. Super crispy, fresh, hot and juicy. Green beans 10/10. It's consistently in quality here as well. I don't like it when fried chicken places serve overcooked dull green beans. Here, they're always vibrant in color and the textural integrity is maintained. Biscuit 5/10. It's on the drier side, I can do without this. Mashed potatoes 10/10. A classic! Mac and Cheese 10/10. Kids portion is the perfect side order add on
google avatar

Calli Y.

Yelp
We usually have lunch or dinner here. You wait and then order inside like a cafeteria. The entrees are generous and decently priced for Disneyland. We like the fried chicken plate with fried chickens, mash potatoes and green beans and a biscuit. Great deal and very tasty!! Highly recommend. They also have indoor seating if you are cold or hot but it's first come first serve. This trip we decided to try the peppermint cake which was sadly not worth the money nor calories. Not good at all. So disappointed. Stick to the entrees and you'll enjoy it!
google avatar

Estella S.

Yelp
Well now I get how Disney stays on top of their food service, quality and atmosphere.... they are efficient. We chose from a set menu of chicken, fish, pasta, salad and beef. No having to second guess who wants what because these entries cover it all...not to forget to mention that choices ate all delicious. Though the line to order appears long they get you through quickly and the great cast members are promptly cleaning tables and getting ready for available indoor and outdoor seating. Definitely stop there again.... probably share this time since portions are generous.
google avatar

Kiki T.

Yelp
I give it four stars because the portion size of the chicken has definitely shrank! It is soooooooo tiny...compared to how it used to be, and of course with the price being higher, doesn't help. However, the flavors of their food are still good. As for the crispiness of the chicken...it is a hit and miss. Because mine wasn't crunchy...but my husband's chicken was crunchy. Service is still very good. Cast members are very helpful and kind.

Yelp
Disneyland's in-park restaurants, snacks, and drinks can be a bit pricey, but there are still some gems worth trying. I've previously written a review of Flo's V8 Café in Disney California Adventure for its tasty fried chicken and relatively affordable prices. This time, I wanted to highlight Plaza Inn in Disneyland Park. While it offers a Character Dining Buffet during breakfast (reservation required, $50 for adults and $30 for kids), for lunch and dinner, it's more of a quick-service spot. You can walk in, order your meal, and take it to your table, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The interior is beautiful and elegant --perfect for photos! In the afternoon, we ordered the Fried Chicken Plate. It was more filling than expected, with three pieces of fried chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, a buttermilk biscuit, and green beans, all for $19.99. The portion is perfect for 1-2 people, and my husband and I shared it as an afternoon snack--it was just right! Our friends also ordered the same dish, and if you have kids, there's a more affordable Kid's Menu option. For example, one of the kids in our group got the Penne Pasta for $7.99. If anyone in your group has food allergies (e.g., eggs, dairy, peanuts, fish, etc.), make sure to let the cashier know when ordering. They offer allergy-friendly meal options, and you can also find detailed allergen information directly in the Disneyland app for substitutions.

Yelp
The best casual restaurant in Disneyland, a park landmark as one of Walt's original, Plaza Inn needs no introduction about its fried chicken. People know about, talk about it, compare it to other establishments in and outside of the Disneyland Resort and, yes it's really that good. Three pieces of herb seasoned golden fried chicken served with homestyle mashed potatoes + gravy, steamed green beans and a buttermilk biscuit. Served on a white china plate, the silverware here is the real deal too, not plastic utensils. Choose your table first, leave someone there to secure a spot and then, go to the buffet area where eager cast members are there to plate your hot food. Plus, there's salads, desserts and beverages to choose from before heading to the cashier. Everything is a la carte priced, charged per item. There are also other hot food options plus seasonal offerings too. Don't forget to get your silverware and condiments before heading to your indoor or outdoor table, especially butter and honey for the biscuits. Decor is classic Victorian style, with the indoor birdcages still there from Walt Disney's time. Outdoor seating is ample under the covered patio or umbrellas overlooking Sleeping Beauty's castle and the entrance to Tomorrowland. I dined here twice this trip, July 2024, and various times in the past six years on my past four visits to the park. A hearty and comforting meal that doesn't break the wallet even with beverages, a side salad and dessert. I always opt to sit indoors to enjoy the air conditioning but, it does get noisy though. Moving through the lines to get food and through the cashier is always quick and, cast members quickly clear the tables for you to dine on + clear your plates afterwards. Take a break in this original landmark at Disneyland, enjoy a delicious fried chicken plate or book a table for the best character breakfast experience in the resort, while basking in the time honored ambiance that dates back to 1955.

Yelp
This is my favorite theme park fried chicken and may be the best fried chicken. If you go to Disneyland eat here over all other places. Great place to hang out and eat. Air conditioned. Staff cleans and makes you feel welcome.
google avatar

Kari T.

Yelp
My family and I really enjoy eating here. They offer a magic key discount as well. Our favorite is the fried chicken. My daughter likes their pasta. I've also tried the salmon which is also good too. They're open in the morning for the character breakfast and then reopen to the public at noon. Definitely gravitate to this place more than any other eatery.
google avatar

Yelp
The Plaza Inn is a classic and always has outstanding food for a good deal in the park. I've been eating this fried chicken since I was a kid and everytime I come to Disneyland I have to eat here. The fried chicken is cooked perfectly so juicy and tasty with yummy mashed potatoes and veggies. It's $20 for 3 big pieces of chicken and trust me you'll leave full. The service is fast you grab your dish at a counter and pay at another. The seating inside and outside is very nice and classic Disney style.

Yelp
This is the first place where my littles got to see Winnie the Poo! It's long been a favorite but it has especially been a favorite since then. The food is excellent, the service is outstanding and the environment is comfortable and classy. The meal is served buffet style with endless options for as long as you stay (and they're open). The location is a favorite for grabbing a Dining Package with a special viewing opportunity for a featured parade. We have been for many of these events and the most recent one was a meal package featuring a special viewing for the Christmas Parade! Fun! You really cannot go wrong with the food, atmosphere, service and perks of dining at the Plaza Inn!

Yelp
On my latest trip to DL, I decided to finally try the fried chicken at the Plaza Inn. There was a line awaiting the opening for lunch, but it wasn't too bad. They do a corny opening with the first person in line ringing a bell signifying the opening of the restaurant., but it fits in with the Disney theme. Service is straightforward and efficient and the place is clean and decorated in a theme that fits right in with Main Street. I however was just not that impressed with the chicken dinner. Don't get me wrong it was good, but nowhere near what people hype it up to be. The chicken is just your basic fried chicken, nothing special, and the pieces are fairly small, especially the drumsticks. The mashed potatoes and gravy are good but again nothing special, and the green beans were tasty and not overcooked. Price wise however, this is probably the best deal in the park. If you're at DL this isn't a bad choice for a meal.

Yelp
This is legitimately good food. It is much better than "theme park" food. Nine years ago, I complained about the prices here. Not anymore. Three big dinners cost around $35 total and the food was all good to very good. In fact, these prices are almost a steal for food of this quality, whether you are at a theme park or not. The fried chicken dinner remains excellent. The chicken is juicy, flavorful, and has crispy skin. The mashed potatoes and gravy are excellent and I loved the seasoned green beans. The biscuit was a tasteless hockey puck so unless you douse it in butter, best to just skip it. The penne pasta with bolognese sauce was not bad. You get a ton of pasta but the sauce could have been more flavorful. The breadstick was pretty bland and looked like it needed to bake a few more minutes. The chopped salad was freshly made to order and was terrific. The lettuce was crisp and it comes with a ton of grilled chicken, blue cheese, candied walnuts, grape halves, dried cranberries, and apples, with dressing. It is really, really good and I NEVER say that about salads. This is not fast food and it is not theme park food. It is just good food and you could call it very good food. Seating inside and out.

Yelp
Pot roast!! Very delicious! The meat is so tender! The sauce was flavorful! They were very generous with the sauce! The biscuit was a bit hard for me to digest. Service was very friendly! And you can see everyone around us enjoying their meal!

Yelp
This is a cafeteria style dinner. Salmon and pasta was served warm. The beans were a bit cold. There was a wait to go inside but the line moved quickly.

Yelp
We did the plaza inn dining package for the nighttime parade. This package gives you a set menu and a reserved seating at the hub closest to the main street fire station. The meal came with a wedge salad, meatloaf and a chocolate dessert. The best thing of the three items was the wedge salad. The meatloaf was a little dry and definitely needed the gravy it came with. The dessert was overly sweet, although very cute. As for the parade. They did reserve us a good viewing point of the parade. However, I feel like if we paid for a reserved section, that no one else who didn't purchase the package would be allowed in. Maybe 20 minutes before the parade started, they took down the reserved rope and groups of people were coming in and sitting in the section. Overall, we did enjoy ourselves. But probably would not purchase again.

Yelp
Whenever I go to Disney, this is my favorite spot to grab a bite! I always get the fried chicken plate ($19.98), which includes 3 pieces of chicken, creamy mashed potatoes with gravy, green beans, and a biscuit. It's one of the more budget-friendly options at Disney, and it's definitely enough to share with someone! The chicken is incredibly juicy and perfectly seasoned. They also offer seasonal dishes and desserts, like the Thanksgiving meal and gingerbread cake.

Yelp
The plaza inn is well known for its fried chicken meal, which consists of fried chicken of course (3 pieces ) green beans, mashed potatoes, and a biscuit. My family and I all very much enjoy this meal as it's full of flavor and the portion is extremely generous for the price. We always ask for extra gravy as it's extremely tasty ! The service is always good, fairly quick when serving , and staff is always attentive of picking up our dirty dishes once we are done. It is a bit on the noisy side as people are enjoying their meal with one another while having conversations with one another. There is outside seating as well which is real nice when the weather is just right. As other options they also have salmon , pastas, salads, and desserts to choose from as well as fountain drinks. A must try when at Disneyland ! If there is a long line you will most likely not wait too long as it goes by quickly .

Yelp
Nothing to brag about. Ok good ok chicken. $20 for all drums? Weird when other people got almost double with breast wing and drums. What's up with that?

Yelp
The Classic Fried Chicken meal came highly recommended by Instagram influences. This is located at the iconic Plaza Inn. I don't think they have changed the decor much but it doesn't matter! The pink and white awnings and umbrellas are what makes it Plaza Inn. The inside hasn't changed at all either. The vibe is old world style. They have clearly marked signs. No reservations are needed since they serve the food cafeteria style. It makes the wait very short. They have 2 lines for the chicken dinner. I got in the wrong line as the chicken on my side looked browner than the other station. It might have been sitting out for a while. The gentleman who served me noticed it too and went over and picked up some from the other side! Kudos to him. The chicken was crispy and juicy on the middle. This was such a deal as you get veggies, makes potatoes, 3 chickens and a biscuit. I could not eat it all. The green beans were floppy. I can understand why people get 2 mash potatoes sides instead of one. There could've been more gravy though. Overall, this was a solid meal I would get again for 19.99. Oh! I got it to go and they packaged it so nicely with a lid. They even gave me a plastic bag. It was very thoughtful.

Yelp
First time trying the plaza inn food, I didn't realize you can just walk in for quick service dinner. I love that it's in real plates and real silverware. The food is delicious. I got the salmon and next time I want to try the Cobb salad. There's someone who makes it fresh for you too. Will definitely eat here again!

Yelp
The line gets long. The Plaza Inn is popular and always busy!!!! Reservations can be made on the Disneyland app. The food is decent. I like the Mickey waffles (I mean, who doesn't?). The waffles are cute with Mickey faces and taste delicious. I also like the dinner menu, the penne pasta with Alfredo. It's good. Worth waiting for and might be one of my favorite in the park. Prices seem fair. Especially compared to other sites down and dine type places at Disneyland. It's busy for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This place is happening lol

Yelp
4.5-5 STARS Theme parks are not normally known for having amazing or affordable food, but Plaza Inn at Disneyland might have one of the highest value items served there. The 3 piece fried chicken platter with a breast, thigh, and leg with a scoop of mashed potatoes and gravy, a side of string beans, and a biscuit for $19.49 is definitely the best deal there. Trust me - the fried chicken is really really tasty. And the side dishes are delicious as well! Forget all the other gimmicky options at the park and just go to Plaza Inn for the fried chicken! It's even large enough to split between 2 people so you don't get too full. It won't disappoint!

Yelp
Gluten free review only You can ask to speak to a chef and they will take note of your allergens and create a meal for you if possible! Gluten free they offered me baked chicken, green beans, mashed potatoes, and a gluten free biscuit! Excellent biscuit and they do not charge more for your plate vs the fried chicken meal. They always have enough seating and they have all the condiments you could need as you exit!

Yelp
Not as good as I remember :(. I went to Disneyland years ago and ate at the Plaza Inn and LOVED the fried chicken. Unfortunately, my recent experience didn't live up to my memories. This cafeteria style restaurant is nice for grabbing a quick bite as everyone can spread out and get what they want. My husband and I got glasses and filled them up with water. The cast member at the register tried to charge us for two sodas along with the fried chicken plate but as soon as I pointed it out, she took them off the bill. So be careful if you are just getting water that you don't get charged for a soda. Seating was plentiful inside and outside. Unfortunately, the fried chicken was okay. It had nice flavor but it wasn't very crispy. The mashed potatoes were good with nice savory gravy on top - this was the best part of the plate. The green beans were very al dente and not to my taste. The biscuit was very plain - wish I had butter and honey for it. After reading all the wonderful reviews, I wish my experience had been better.

Yelp
For dinner at Disneyland, this is hand down our favorite place to eat. The food is great and you get a very good bang for your buck. Ever since we discovered this place years ago, my family and I have become regulars here whenever we come to Disneyland. I have never done the character breakfast though. So this review is only about the Dinner we've gotten here. Food: 5/5 This is some of the best food in the park (aside from dining in one of their fancy in park restaurants that require reservations or being on a special guest list) in my opinion. I always get the fried chicken dish. It comes with a whole half chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy and green beans. I also like to get a coffee and it is alway scorching hot! The food is always fresh and they also have pot roast and pasta option. In addition they have side salads and cake/dessert options. Seating/Area: 5/5 There is a ton of seating here. Both indoor and outdoor. It is also located right in between Main Street and Tomorrowland. The indoor seating is nice. And if you sit outside near the Tomorrowland area, you also have very easy access to the bathrooms, Star Tours and the Buzz Lightyear ride. We always like to grab a table later on in the evening and hang out there for the fire works show. This would probably also work if you decided to eat here right before the parade. It offers a nice seat with a perfect view of the castle without dealing with the crowds! Price: 5/5 For Disney, the prices are great for the amount of food you get. Each main adult meal is around $20. The kids meals are cheaper. But, what I love is that I never leave still feeling hungry after paying $20 and I love that you get a good size helping of veggies. If you are coming to Disneyland and it's your first time or you've never been here, do yourself a favor and plan to have your dinner here.

Yelp
Plaza Inn is still one of my favorites for satisfying a hungry tummy! Our latest visit was during lunchtime, and the classic entrée was still the chicken plate. Service is cafeteria style, where you grab a tray and make your way to the specific entrée line. There's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors, with decent viewing of parades and fireworks. The Cast Members at the door will control how many guests are inside so it's not too crowded. Salads and desserts are available in the middle area--the main entrées lines are along the back, and drinks are on either side of the entrée lines. Sadly, there is no more a la carte on the chicken pieces or sides. A whole plate must be purchased. Recent food we tried: - Chicken Plate, $19.49 - A classic plate with savory fried chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans. - Salmon with Lemon Butter Dill-Caper Sauce, $18.99 - The salmon was a little dry this time, and the sauce didn't help much. It was just okay. - Key Lime Tart $7.49 - a comforting dessert with a balanced tart and sweet taste. This is worth getting. You can also have your entrées or desserts placed in take-out containers if you aren't planning to eat in the restaurant. But you can still ask for to-go containers at the cashiers if you need them after the fact. Magic Key discounts apply!
