Pleine Terre

"Behind a discreet façade, down the few steps leading to the basement, you will find a chef who is passionate about citrus fruits, spices and pepper: he has developed a cuisine that closely follows the seasons and showcases the work of handpicked small-scale producers. An inventive array of dishes, served by a friendly and enthusiastic front-of-house team: a great find." - Michelin Inspector

Had one of the best meals of my life here. This is truly a gastronomic experience and my first in a Michelin guide restaurant. I had the chef's menu and my wife the seafood menu. This way we got to experience a wider palette. Every dish was a explosion of flavours to me. Portions are modest as per fine dining standards but we were fully satisfied at the end of our wonderful meal. They offered to change one of our desserts so that we could have a wider variety in the experience. Highly recommended. Price is on the high side but a definite experience in itself.

The best meal I have ever tasted and experienced. If you don’t make reservations and go, you will regret it. The Chef personally greeted all of the guests during our seating time. He showed a genuine interest in preparing a meal that each guest would enjoy. In particular, my daughter, a vegan, was completely delighted with the meal and attention she received. I am confident any food allergy or sensitivity will be carefully respected. The menu gives two choices but substitutions seem to be easily accommodated. Just ask. I had the sole and it was absolutely perfect. I am usually disappointed by tiramisu, but I order it anyway when I see it featured on the menu. This example was what I always dream of getting. It was perfect and the best example of this dessert I have ever had. As you would expect each course was presented and explained by the staff. It is a fine dining French experience without the overly stuffy atmosphere.

Very sophisticated. The food was delicious and beautifully presented by professional staff. Drinks are pricey but worth the atmosphere.

The most delicious meal I’ve ever had. Over six courses, the chef and our house leader Adrian took us on the most delicious, superb, and unique cuisine experience we had in Paris. Each course was part of the Chef’s Menu journey that perfectly combined flavors with balance and decadence.¡ Magnifiqué!

My wife and I love visiting Paris, and the delicious food is one of the reasons. We chose Pleine Terre for dinner because of the excellent reviews, and we were not disappointed. The restaurant is in a quiet neighborhood, and its discreet, lower-level location creates a nice ambience. For dinner, we chose the Chef's menu, and every course was superb. The taste, creativity, and presentation of the dishes were outstanding. The beef filet topped with foie gras and black truffles was my favorite. Chef Desrivières and his team have created a wonderful dining experience.

Our best Michelin experience! Very authentic French cuisine, generous portions, surprising menu. Very attentive staff, and sommelier is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The menu can be adjusted if you have allergies, are pregnant, or follow vegetarian diet.

'Serene'??!?! Not at all. We had a late reservation at 8:45 pm. Service was fine albeit scattered, ie. bread was not brought with butter (we had to ask), and water glasses were not refilled. We were at the cheese course by around 10:00 pm. I saw the chef leave and then that's when the chaos started. The kitchen staff washing down the kitchen making a complete ruckus with the kitchen doors open! It is a small restaurant and we were sitting close by. We heard pots and pans being banned around and saw the floor of the kitchen being scrubbed down. This was all before we were served the last course. We asked for the kitchen doors to be closed which only brought the noise down a few notches. When I was finally served the dessert, the chocolate mousse, it was slop, perhaps because it was sitting on the counter during the kitchen scrub-down, absorbing all the chemical fumes. This place is a total let-down and is definitely NOT fine-dining.

Yelp
This restaurant is in a basement, but you won't even realize it. There were 2 different tasting menu options (no a la carte), one was a 4 course (€75 pp) & the other was 6 courses (€88 pp). Staff were nice & accommodating. Every dish was absolutely delicious!
