I really liked the other location in DC, but I went to the one in whole foods on H street and was disgusted and disappointed. I used the order ahead option so I was stuck with the food given to me after seeing a live roach crawling across the counter near the cold/toppings prep area. I couldn't do anything about a refund since it was through the app... but the order we unpacked after all of that was also wrong. Ordered 8 lil dippers, but received 6 oat breaded tenders instead of what I've had there before, and unlike what was in the app to order. The "B.I.G Burger" was exactly the same as the regular PLNT Burger that my friend ordered, but with sesame seeds. It wasn't any bigger, and only really adds to possible allergen issues with sesame cross contamination. All of the sauces we ordered were not there, but that didn't even matter by the time we dealt with the rest of the mess of this.

The food was good! It is convenient since it's inside Whole Foods! The mushroom bacon burger was delicious! The cheeseburger also had the right amount of cheese! The chili bowl was also amazing! The little chicken nuggets were also amazing! PLNT burger beats shake shack any day! I am going for the shakes next time!

Great addition to the Whole Foods! I loved the mushroom burger - super flavorful toppings and sauces. The patty itself had a good texture but wasn't flavorful, although personally I just prefer veggie patties to the faux meat ones. I ordered for pickup and the order was ready on time and correct. Service wasn't too friendly (not acknowledging customers, etc.), but it wasn't bad by any means, and they only just opened. I'm curious to try more of their menu, especially their oat shake!

Always fresh, no food from the night before. Many choices and the condiments are awesome, often we have few choices. Pleasant staff and plenty of room to eat.

I didn’t want to go out so I checked a food delivery service for the types of restaurants nearby. Fortunately I found this gem and decided to order to give it a go. My goodness, the packaging was very neat and nifty. The food was delicious. I will say the sweet potato fries were a little cold and limp, but they may have been from the time it took the delivery service to reach me. Either way I decided to go again the next day to check it in store. It is connected to a Whole Foods inside. If you are looking for a great healthy alternative to burgers and fries, this is the place to go. Very environmentally conscious.

I visited PLNT Burger for the first time in October, Howard homecoming weekend. I was helped by the manager on duty who was super nice and very helpful. I ordered the mushroom bbq bacon burger, which was great! I was also able to try the chili and the fish sandwich (my fav). The prices were reasonable and the food was great. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in DC. Also thanks to the manager that helped me, for all the suggestions and food info.

Friggin delicious!! I didn't realize sweet potato fries could be so yummy and the burger was marvelous. I didn't use any of the supplied condiments and impressed I didn't need to. The food was cooked to order and reasonably priced. I truly enjoyed every bit of the meal.

"Why no pictures for this review?"....because I could not control myself! Hard to take a picture when a burger tastes this good! Pros: The vegan cheeseburger was hands down the BEST cheeseburger (and I'm purposely not labeling it the best vegan cheeseburger) I've ever had. I could not even tell that the cheese was vegan, yet alone the burger was plant based. I'm a meat eater would like to eat less meat and more alternative. All of the condiments and vetetables that came with it left me with a perfect bit EVERYTIME. I really don't like cheeseburgers, but this one surprised with it's amazing flavor and how delicious it was. You can order ahead via the app and shop throughout Whole Foods while you wait for your order to be ready (although I've never waited longer than a couple minutes for my order). Store staff was kind, professional, and quick! Cons: It's basically a near $10 burger (with tax)...but boy is it delicious. While Whole Foods is a convenient spot (and has free parking if you buy something from the store), there are some challenges to this location because the eating area is right next to the register, but not near the plnt burger station and the store is generally pretty busy. Overall, I 100% recommend for the carnivores and omnivores among us!

This is a sad case because I used to LOVE Plnt Burger. Their food USED to be amazing. No longer. And, as I've told their customer service folks twice now, to me this signals the beginning of the end. They continue to change their recipes and food quality continues to decline. Today was the THIRD time in a row I've gotten crappy food. Last time was a cheese burger and fries. The burger was completely cold and congealed and disgusting (partly due to the fact that both the cook and the cashier were too busy on their mobile phones and ignoring customers). Plnt Burger has changed their fries numerous times. They used to be good. They are now the worst kind of hollow processed grease sponges. They are so greasy they are pretty much inedible. Today I just got a Save the Bay Fish Fillet. Again, they have changed the recipe. I discovered the sandwich is now, rather than one large very good fish fillet, two small triangular fillets. They looked liked they'd come from the frozen foods section at Whole Foods. And, maybe they did?? Perhaps Plnt Burger was out of the fish fillet today and improvised. In any event, at a price of $13!!!! (OUTRAGEOUS!) The sandwich sucked. Luke warm. I could have just gotten some frozen crap from the freezer and made my own at home. Plnt Burger has REALLY DECLINED in service and especially in quality of their food, while prices are astronomical. I cannot and do not recommend this place. Good luck staying in business in the very discerning DC market. There is just too much competition here for quality, service, and pricing this poor.

Good food but bad management. We showed up for lunch at 11:05 for lunch (they open at 11) and were told 'we aren't ready or open yet.' We stuck around for a while and when we asked when they would be ready were told 'I won't give you a time because I don't know when it will be.' While the honesty is appreciated, if you open at 11 please be ready at 11.

Definitely more than hype! Just burgers and fries inside the Navy Yard Whole Foods, the specialty burgers like the one pictured below aren't much different than if you were to add on bacon or vegetable for about the same price. They make everything made to order, and make sure you include the fries. The crispy herb fries were exactly that and weren't too oily at all. You can choose from a selection of four dipping sauces, I went for the spicy aioli which could have used slightly more zest but would be fine as a condiment on one of their burgers. I truly wish they'd come up to PA, or one of our local Whole Foods locations would consider it!

As a vegetarian trying to find a good fastfood chicken sandwich- this is honestly so good ! The service was pretty quick and chill. It's a tiny little shop located inside of a Whole Foods and was worth the search. I would try something else next time ! Main downside is that it's like $20 for a large meal with a 'large' drink but gurl that's a small if I've ever seen one.

This is my new favorite restaurant from DC and I can't stop ordering from here! They basically sell plant based versions of fast foods. I tried a couple of things from PLNT burger and my favorites were the chili cheese fries and the spicy chicken sandwich. The chili is very sweet and is a nice balance to the fries. The spicy chicken sandwich is moderately spicy and super flavorful, and the texture is just like chicken! It is also located inside of a Whole Foods, which I love. They also have a 2-for-1 deal on the spicy chicken sandwiches on Uber Eats. Love this place and plan on coming back many times.

Today I didn't have any issues with placing my order (probably because I did it from my laptop). Anyhow, I ordered the PLNT Cheeseburger and a S'Mores OATasty. After fixing the shake the cashier tells me they didn't have anymore grilled marshmallows (which was the only reason why I ordered that shake in particular). I was pressed for time and didn't have time to debate it. The "burger" and the shake was on point. I didn't get to take pics lol, but believe me it was delicious! Can't wait to try some more items!

My experience with them was picking up Mt toogoodto go order. They gave me a cup of chili and some sweet potato fries. Thank GOD for the fries....Bro why is your chili sweet....sweet like sugar...I mean did they mix bush baked beans in with vegi meat....it wasn't good at all, so for the value I'm upset, but the price was fine so I didn't lose out, but I could've just bought the fries and it would've been the same as the price for the surprise bag....this my first burn using that app. Won't be back plnt burger...maybe ur burgers are good but the chili sucks....

This eatery is located inside the Whole Foods. The "chicken" sandwich was really good but is on the smaller side. The fries were okay. Not many options on the menu but is convenient if already there shopping or needing a quick plant based option. Service was fine and food came out quick enough. Limited seated options inside and outside of the store.

While I love plnt Burger and have been coming to this location in particular for a while, I was lurid by what I was told when asking for the young lady with the glasses. Just to think that plnt burger number 1 employee at this location (in my eyes) is no longer here is devastating. I was so happy to see her I even brought a gift back for her from my trip to Monaco. That young lady was vivacious and ebullient WHO deserved a raise to say the very least. If applicable please send her my love. Do better with employee and management. No way I should have known this.

Ordered through the app and walked by to pick it up. Location is toward the back of the store. Food was ready, bag was stapled shut, and everything was great! Quick, easy, delicious.

Big thumbs up for tasty options for meat-avoiders! Have to start with the herb fries - perfectly toasty and seasoned, and still crisp upon arrival despite the fact this was a delivery order. The double cheeseburger with tomato and lettuce and a dollop of grilled onions for umami was quite good. Will probably opt for the single next time because the double is huge. The l&t are fresh and crisp; the potato buns are ample and sweet, holding it all together nicely. The oat milk soft serve (still unmelted when it arrived) was a small but a deliciously creamy and tasteful cap to this vegan fast food meal.

I had the Double cheeseburger and it was delicious. I have never eaten a real burger, so I can't tell you the comparison but I like the texture and the flavors. Caramelized onions are a nice touch to the flavor. I also had their green beans on the side instead of the fries and the Oatly mint shake - so yummy! The people that work at the Florida Ave location are so friendly. Thanks, PLNT!

Great vegan burgers, sauce, nuggies and fries! Fast service. Inside Whole Foods, so also pretty convenient.

It was very clean and the burger was delicious as promised by the employees 10/10, definitely can't wait to go back again and try another delicious item off their menu ! So many varieties to pick from ! Great work environment!

I loved this place!!! First of all I ordered on the app (the first time you order you get $5 off, which is a great deal!). As I was walking up to the counter my meal was ready within I would say a minute. I literally went inside as soon as I hit send on the app. I got the Buffalo chicken sandwich that was made from king oyster mushrooms and wow! It looked, smelled, and tasted like a real Buffalo chicken sandwich. They use follow your heart cheese (pepper-jack) and I was a bit apprehensive in having them put the cheese on it because I don't like vegan cheese, but this one was surprisingly delicious. It actually tasted like real cheese (shocker I know!). I throughly enjoyed the sandwich but I will say it was slightly on the salty side. The fries are just weird! I love French Fries and these weren't terrible but they also weren't amazing. The flavor was interesting and I honestly could have done with out them. Next time I will try the little blooming onions they make (even though it is a major surcharge). All in all if you are looking for authentic fast food but a vegan version this is the place for you!! I feel like the amazing-ness of this place hasn't really caught on yet, but it will! I also love they attach it to a Whole Foods, it allows you to get other items such as sparkling water if you don't want a soda and if you are traveling it's a great spot to get both food and a clean bathroom!

Omnivore here. Delicious, satiating burgers. The faux fish sandwich really impresses me! The fungi chicken sandwiches and onion petals ('tis no bloomin' onion) are just OK. The burgers, fish, and chick'n nuggets are where it's at. Herbed fries are good too. I preorder on the app when I arrive at Whole Foods, grab my groceries, then grab dinner for the family on the way out. Great service, quality ingredients, sustainable alternatives -- and DEE-LISH-US!!

Love this place! The era of dry veggie burgers is ooooover. Great spot for burgers, chicken nuggets, soft serve, and more. All plant based. And I love the sustainability emphasis.

The food is so good I almost forgot it was plant based! The service was excellent I got my food so quickly and I love the fact its in the middle of my favor store!

After an afternoon of helping friends move into their apartment, this quick meal was satisfying. My friends who are huge meat eaters actually enjoyed this too. This was their first time trying plant protein too. If there are a few things I would suggest, it would be don't be afraid of spice! :) The Spicy Chik'n Funguy while it had the crispy element; needed a little more of the spicy marinade to boost it! Otherwise I liked it. The veggie chili was okay; a little sweet for my liking. It reminded me of sloppy joes from when I was a kid; more so than chili. I would have liked it if there was more cumin and some cayenne thrown in there. Overall, I would still come again and try some more of their options!

Best fries I've had in a long time! I don't feel overly stuffed and it was the most perfect cheat meal. Fish burger is amazing! Chicken Parmesan is great!! Green bean fries amazing!!!

I'm so glad PLNT Burger is finally in DC, so I don't have to go all the way to Silver Spring. With that being said, prices here are more expensive than I was expecting. The burgers range $7-10 depending on the toppings. I got the PLNT Cheeseburger, which came with Follow Your Heart "American cheese", lettuce, tomatoes, pickes and PLNT sauce. I've had Beyond burgers previously and thought they were just okay (and hated the smell) but PLNT Burger makes them taste really good. I think it tastes pretty close to beef, though I don't actually like beef, but the toppings and condiments are what really enhances the burger. One negative though is that the cheese got stuck to the wrapper. There may have been more cheese on the wrapper than the burger. The sweet potato fries are pretty nice, nicely seasoned and well crisped. I enjoyed them even though I actually didn't order them and am not typically a huge fan of sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries cost $4.25. The soft serve was amazing! I'm not a huge strawberry ice cream person but I think it tastes great swirled in with the chocolate. Because it's made with oat milk, it's nice and thick and creamy. The oat milk also adds a natural sweetness. The price is the only downside though, you get a tiny cup for $4.25. Perhaps next time I'll just pay the extra dollar for the large size. The only two toppings were chocolate and rainbow sprinkles, which I felt were overpriced at $1. You can get a whole container of sprinkles for a dollar. Note: PLNT Burger is located inside Whole Foods so there's just a small counter, not nearly as large as the original location.

What a surprise to find this place in the Whole Foods right across from my hotel! It's tucked back a ways in the store so there was a tiny quest to find it. Comical that they place it next to a bunch of grab and go more meaty food. I tried the BBQ bacon burger and herbed fries. My order was ready in less than 10 minutes and the burger was quite good! Really hit the spot and way better priced than the hotel restaurant. The fries were amazing and definitely worth having. Nice to have this in the whole foods because then there are also lots of drink and dessert options too! I was hungry enough after the long flight that I meant to take pictures but totally forgot once I opened up my food!

I got a Swiss chard spicy grilled chicken. it was the perfect refreshing treat! The people inside were dope, the order was quick, and the food was home cooked style even tho it was fast food!

Love that this is part of Whole Foods - so, you can shop for your groceries, contemplate what it will take to then transform all those lovely raw ingredients into a series of delightful meals in the coming days, but feel ecstatic that today, one of your meals will be a plant-based combination of tantalizing flavors that you just don't want to be bothered to create yourself. The food here is simple because it's comfort food. Burgers and brats based on gluten-free plant-based substitutes that could fool the best of them. The fixings on the snacks, though, that's what really gets me - the sauces, oh yes, so good. When you look at the size of the sauce with the fries, you think: that's not enough. However, there sauces are potent and go a long way. You will be just fine. If you're a sauce-a-holic though, you may want to order extra sauce. I don't have a favorite sauce, they're all delicious. I like the Bloomies sauce for the onion bloomies, of course, but I also don't mind just some classic ketchup with them. The sweet potato fries have the slight sweetness that makes my palate smile - so, I really like the contrast with the maple mustard. The herb fries- get whatever you want with those, because, they're potatoes, which go well with all sauces! Plain burgers are ok, but cheeseburgers are better. They have the sausage/ Brats, too, which are delicious as chili cheese. They have plain chili for a wonderful winter warm up. The best still, though, is having soft serve ice cream in the summer, or a milk shake - the size seems small, but really, it's perfect. They have combo deals, too, if you know you'll be ordering more than one item anyhow, so you can save some dough (for ordering more sauce?). The folks here are always nice and helpful. I feel happier when I get food from here than from many other establishments. If you order ahead in the app, they have some great rewards that will pop up for you. You can also collect/ earn points to redeem for cash off or free yummy food things. Enjoy! What a treat to have this in Whole Foods!

I don't understand why I took my so long to order from here...but I'm so glad I did. My burger was BOMB. My dad and I did one of the buy 1 get 1 free specials on Uber eats...and it did not disappoint. In his words, "why haven't we been ordering from here all week" (sidenote my dad is staying with me for the week and ordering out has been easiest for the both of us...but anyway). Okay reasons for the 5 stars: - filling but not too much food. Perfect portion. - the "bacon" bbq mushroom burger... SOOO BOMB. Not an exaggeration. - the fries... DELICIOUS (I'm a sucker for a good French fry and these were amazing). - it delivered well. The fries were still crispy (and not soggy) amd my burger was packaged appropriately. Now that I've fallen in love with one of their menu items...PLNT BURGER will definitely be added to my Uber eats rotation.

Finally had the best vegan burger ever, and I would gladly encourage carnivores to try it out. This burger IMO is not about convincing one to be be vegan, which I am not, it's just nice to have an alternative when I don't want red meat or can't handle/want to avoid dairy cheese temporarily. What I think really sets the patty up for success is the meat-like texture (Beyond Burger) & the superb seasoning on it. The PLNT sauce and vegetable toppers (tomato, green leaf lettuce, pickles, caramelized onion), & Shmidt's potato bun made the whole thing come together just right. I'll admit, the cheese on the burger is one my absolute favorite vegan cheeses (Follow Your Heart) but when it was melted on the burger I could barely taste it. When I went to taste a piece of it solo, I still got nothing. The herb fries are the truth! I would stop by just for them if I wasn't in the mood for faux meat. Don't skip the dipping sauces: garden herb (vegan mayo based, the only savory non-sweet sauce), maple mustard (made w/ whole grain mustard), sweet chili (more sweet than spicy, a top pick), bloomies sauce (in-house pick, the sweetest of the bunch). Sampled the swirl oat milk soft serve (chocolate and strawberry) and I think the oat milk based made the chocolate side rather watered down, but the strawberry side tasted like a light strawberry frozen yogurt almost.

I'd been wanting to try PLNT Burger for a while, and finally committed thanks to the Ubereats BOGO deal. I got the cheeseburger and the mushroom bacon burger. Both were great, but the mushroom bacon burger was AMAZING. One burger is def filling enough, but I don't regret getting both. Also, if you're a vegetarian/vegan, you may be wondering this compares to another veg standby, HipCityVeg. PLNT Burger is like the cheat food version of HCV. While HCV is not exactly 100% healthy, it doesn't feel like I'm being that unhealthy when I eat there. PLNT Burger isn't a grease trap or anything like that, but it is way closer to a traditional indulgent burger spot (and would likely be great hangover food). It's not trying to be health food, and that's not a bad thing. So on a day where I'm trying to be healthy-ish, I'll stick with HCV. On a day where I'm craving a legit burger (or when I'm trying to impress my non-veg friends), PLNT Burger is a great spot.

tried the new fiesta burger... it was under whelming. the construction was poorly dome, I don't like sloppy burgers where all the contents are spilling out of the bun.. not enjoyable. also, that weird bean paste at the bottom could be left out. it was too many mushy flavors and for $10.. I'd like more than one tiny slice of tomato and an oversized piece of lettuce and wasn't even crispy by the time all the other contents were pilled on it. over all, not an enjoyable experience. the flavors weren't anything Wowing..... I mostly come because this is one of few places that cary beyond!

I went on a Friday night. This was my first time going here. The food was soooooo good! I got the bbq burger and the fries! That food was so tasty! Idk if it's because I was having a cheat day after a really strict two weeks diet or what. But PLNT Burger will definitely be my go to cheat meal!

Oh, hell yes! I'm loving everything about PLNT Burger. I've especially enjoyed the Mushroom BBQ Bacon Burger and the Save the Bay Filet. I can't wait to try the rest.

PLNT BURGER is a delicious plant-based fast food joint. Easily one of the top vegan burgers that I have had in DC. I am absolutely in love with this spot! Pros: Price: The price for a meal (consisting of a plant-based burger, drink and side-snack) was like $14, which I think is a pretty solid deal considering that all of this is vegan, and vegan prices tend to be much higher! There is a lot of variety in this 3 part meal option, so you can really experiment quite a bit with a meal under $14 here! Delivery Options/Speed: The food arrived really quickly--I ordered it on uber eats, and I live a few miles from the restaurant--it arrived in no time at all--maybe 20 minutes! Good Packaging: The Packaging was not excessive at all! Sometimes I feel that I get so many extra napkins or bags inside of bags, but the minimal packaging here was great. Amazing Taste and Seasoning: I ordered the plant-based cheeseburger and let me tell you, it was delicious. The fries were also amazing! Both were super well-seasoned, and were solid sizes. I definitely felt full when I was done, but if I had a second portion in front of me, I would have eaten it, because it was so good! Yummy unique beverages- Along with the standard meal, you can order one of 3 vegan juices--I chose the Berry drink and it was really delicious and refreshing. I believe it was 24 OZ. Cons: Some food not available at all times on food delivery apps: Sometimes, I have noticed that when I go to order here, there are very limited options on the food delivery apps. Understandable, given the hard times, but sad nonetheless, because I loooove their food!

My students and I experienced PLNT Burger today for lunch. This was their first time having plant based burgers and they absolutely loved it! Well WE absolutely loved it. The chili was love also I will certainly be enjoying meals from there more often. No pictures to upload we devoured our food

Dare I say best vegan burger I've had to date?! A major win for the plant based :) Ordered via Uber Eats and received a delicious package. I got the PLNT Burger Meal: Cheeseburger, Herb Fries, Mandarin-Cardamom Juice (you can pick from a variety of options for the 3 items) The cheeseburger was Beyond Meat and the whole item was lushishly delicious. Reminded me of a Shake Shack burger but actually tastier. The Herb Fries were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. I paired this with the Bloomies sauce which was a divine sweet tangy sauce. The Mandarin-Cardamom Juice was so refreshing. A nice orange citrus beverage that felt healthy to drink. Also came with a paper straw. This meal was so satisfying. You wouldn't even know you weren't eating meat. So glad DC has Vegan options! If I lived here I would probably be getting this weekly.

I live in Southern California. We need a PLNT Burger! This place is incredible. Food gets a 10 out of 10. Service was a 12 out of 10. Mike and the team were outstanding.

I ordered takeout (I believe it must've come from their new Alexandria location, given the proximity to my home address) excited to try a vegan meal given all the positive reviews. I ordered the mushroom burger and herb fries (large size). Never have had a mushroom burger, and I am generally skeptical of vegan food, but it was DELICIOUS, flavorful, spicy. I did not feel like it was greasy or heavy but just perfect. I was a bit disappointed with the portion size. The large size of fries seemed more like a small, which made me wonder how sparse their small portion must be. I also ordered a chocolate chip cookie (because why not??) and was glad to see it was freshly baked as far as I could tel. Overall, the food is so delicious, I just wish the portions were bigger!

Hands down 5 stars! I ordered from here via UberEats the other night and tried the Crispy Chik'n Funguy Sandwhich and PLNT Salad. It was hands down the best "chicken" substitute I have found and the salad was refreshing! It was so good, I stopped in the location today. The customer service experience sealed the 5 star deal! I was quickly greeted by the staff, they were friendly and super helpful. I was stuck between ordering the Chik'n sandwhich again or trying the PLNT Mushroom Bacon BBQ Burger. DaQwan, shared his experience and recommended I try both, so I did! Both were delicious but the Chik'n sandwhich is my favorite! He also shared that they have an app that offers advance ordering, points with purchase and exclusive discounts! Needless to say I downloaded the app! Thank you DaQwan and the PLNT Burger Team for two 5 star experiences!

I ordered from PLNT through Uber Eats. Ordered the salad, burger, chili bowl and crispy chick'n funguy sandwich. Underwhelming on many levels. The salad came with a dressing that somehow made the salad worse than what it already was. The burger needed an additional beyond meat burger patty to make it anything other than an appetizer. The crispy chick'n funguy sandwich was actually okay but the portion was too small. The chili bowl was solid and I would order it again.

Woefully below average and expectations. Overpriced and underwhelming. Soggy spicy chicken was particularly bad. The steak burger and herbed fries were good but not worth the trip or price. Having found AMAZING vegan food places in Columbia, SC and Raleigh/Greensboro, NC how is Whole Foods in DC missing the mark so badly? Truly doing veganism a disservice.
