"As you enter this former café, you will find yourself immersed in the working class ambience of the Marolles district. Everything from the decor to the menu is steeped in local traditions. Cheese croquettes, steak and chips or vol-au-vent – scrumptious!" - Michelin Inspector

A very authentic Belgian restaurant with traditional dishes and very kind and friendly staff. Mussels was excellent, most probably the best I have ever had! This place is highly recommended to visit in Brussels!

An authentic experience, traditional Belgian dishes, excellent service, and a place where food is prepared with great heart.

We came across this restaurant unexpectedly and decided to give it a try. The place had a really authentic local feel. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The standout dish for us was the beef stew – it was unbelievably tender and packed with flavor. We also enjoyed the meatball in homemade tomato sauce 🍅 I would come back here again!!!

RUDE STAFF. Went with a friend who ordered a full main course. I just wanted French fries, which were clearly listed in the menu, but they refused to let me order them alone. They told me this is a “restaurant, not a snack place” and that I had to order two items from the menu. I ended up being forced to get cheese croquettes on top of the fries just to meet their made-up rule. And not just one croquette, they made me order two. Two identical starters, just to satisfy some absurd internal policy. Absolutely ridiculous. The staff were rude, inflexible, and dismissive. I don’t care what kind of certification this place brags about. If your hospitality starts with forcing people to order what they don’t want, you’ve already failed. Never going back.

We went here with some colleagues from down under 🦘 after a short walk through the city center. The suggestions had some specialities with 'wild' in it, like deer and pheasant. The usual traditional belgian dishes are on the menu too, in a nice cosy environment, we had a wonderful, fast, correct service. We had the croquettes as entry dish, and had an mix of fish, meat, with wine and beer as drinks. The wooden, warm interior is a nice addition to the excellent food. Certainly worth visiting if you like the cuisine.

I wanted to like this place more, but food and service unfortunately weren't the best. The inside has a nice vibe, though and there are a few outdoor seats

Visited after seeing the review on the Michelin guide. Tried a few classic dishes and their specialties. Food was good, but the steak was overcooked despite ordering medium-rare. Service was hit and miss. All in all an “okay” experience. In light of this if a friend visited Brussels this restaurant wouldn’t be among the top ones I’d recommend.

Yelp
One of the best things when travelling and exploring a new city is the opportunity to get lost and simply trust your gut when walking into a space you didn't do any prior research on. When you're walking in a neighborhood and the smells from the restaurant captivate you, one must just simply walk in. They had a menu outside and we were able to take a look and see they had quite a bit of options for us to enjoy. Bonus moment-- they've been recognized and acclaimed within the 2023 Michelin guide. Table are quite small and very, very intimate. I went for a Stella and began looking at the menu. The owner and chef himself was pouring my beer which was such a fun moment. He came over to our table and chatted with us for a little bit. We were the second table of the day since they had just opened their doors but within 30 minutes they were at 80% capacity! The food was some of the best I had on the trip. They have their mussel offerings written all over the glass mirrors so you can see what broth you want. We went for a white wine broth and it was perfect. Some of the best mussels I've had. We had a few other plates and everything was great, I just wish I recalled the exact names. I'm still dreaming about my meal tbh.
