A 24-Hour Food Tour Across Southern Vancouver Island - Eater Seattle

"This restaurant, named after the word for a rain-lover (pluviophile), embraces the Pacific Northwest’s bounty of seasons. Enjoy a range of options for your three-course menu, with choices like a wagyu beef tartar with cured mushrooms, a seafood-focused feast, or botanically-inspired seasonal fare. Pluvio’s plates pop with color and texture to excite the palate." - Sabra Boyd

My sister and I recently enjoyed a special celebration dinner at Pluvio. From the moment we entered, the friendly staff made us feel very welcome. Our servers were attentive throughout the meal. We both chose the tasting menu, which highlights local and seasonal ingredients. They offer regular, pescatarian, and vegetarian options, along with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink pairings. It was my first time experiencing such a thoughtful (and delicious) variety of choices. The food was stunning—not only artistic in presentation and creative in flavor combinations, but it was truly one of the best meals we have ever enjoyed. Thank you for a lovely and memorable experienc

Pluvio is a feast for the eyes. Watching the chefs working in the kitchen is mesmerizing. The service is quiet, unpretentious and spot on. The food is original, fresh and well balanced...you can taste what you are eating...nothing is overpowered. The non alcoholic drink pairings are the best I've had anywhere. Definitely my favourite Canadian restaurant.

We booked Pluvio for two nights, but due to the Hwy 4 closure, we stayed just one night. From the start, Lily, the manager, was incredibly kind and understanding, even waiving the night charge for our first night, which set the tone for a truly exceptional experience. The room was spacious, immaculately clean, and full of charming details. Every element felt thoughtfully designed, creating a peaceful and relaxing environment. Breakfast prepared by the chef was a bonus for us! This was my second time dining at Pluvio, and it was just as extraordinary as the first. Dinner was an unforgettable, five-star gourmet experience. Each course was refreshingly original and bursting with flavor. The service was friendly, attentive, and professional, complementing the high-quality food perfectly. This is Michelin-star-level cuisine at a great value, all within the cozy charm of a small, thoughtfully curated restaurant. From the rooms to the dining, Pluvio exceeded every expectation. We cannot recommend it highly enough!

Wow. Expectations were exceeded. When you look at the menu, and look at the price for the tasting, you might wonder if it will be worth it. The answer is 100% yes. This wasn’t just a beautiful meal, it was an experience - local ingredients, service with a personal and none of the “stuffiness” you might expect from a high end restaurant. We will return on our next visit to Ukee and we will definitely be recommending to friends and family.

We visited the restaurant and it was fantastic. We had the tasting menu with paired wines (including a sparkling sake). The service was friendly and knowledgeable and we enjoyed watching the chefs at work. The food was all locally sourced, the menu felt innovative and it all tasted gorgeous. The vibe of the place is v upbeat. A world class restaurant in this very beautiful remote part of the world

Overall this is one of the nicest places in Ucluelet/Tofino area to stay and dine at. The stay was relaxing and rejuvenating. Room: clean, with heated floors, great shower head, comfortable bed, and nice balcony. As mentioned on the site, there is a nearby club and the music was audible later in the night only the first night (on a Friday). The homemade granola and nuts bowl were delicious and breakfast in fridge each morning was a nice touch. The dietary accommodations were much appreciated. Restaurant: cozy and beautiful atmosphere. Great service. Enjoyed the chef’s menu and couple extra dishes, non-alcoholic wine offering and couple drinks. Each dish was well plated and satisfying with accommodating dietary restrictions. Will definitely be back to try offerings in other seasons.

I can't speak for the hotel, but the restaurant was amazing. My husband and I went for our honeymoon dinner. The bar seats in front of the kitchen were occupied, which made me sad I didn't request them. After the couple eating there left, they offered to move us there. We got an extra delicious course of foie gras, which was delicious. The staff signed a congratulations card for us and they took a cute polaroid of us at the restaurant. And the food was incredible. There wasn't a single dish that wasn't perfect. My husband, who is a chef, said it was one of his top 3 dining experiences of all time! We will definitely be back some day!

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday, been wanting to eat here for a while and it did not disappoint. We had the chefs tasting menu which also comes with a few additions in between the courses shown on the menu. The food was inventive and delicious, lots for your pallet to digest in each bite. The service was friendly and attentive and the reasturant feels cozy and relaxed. Highly recommended
