Poag Mahone's - Review - Chicago - The Infatuation

"The name Poag Mahone's comes from a Gaelic saying that basically means "kiss my ass." With a name like that, you know it's a good place to drink. The burgers are solid, too. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

I asked for 4x bacon "If it normally has 2 strips then give me 8 or if normally 3 then 12" and they brought the burger out with 2 strips initially. They were quick to bring out the rest of the bacon though, and it was really good.

Great food. Nice beer selection. Service was pretty good too. Highly recommend.

Great staff all around. Great food. Awesome beer selection. Trivia night on Wednesday's is highly recommend. Also a great place to get takeout or to bring a large group of people. They are very accommodating.

Burgers here are awesome! Love the selection of beers as well-- can't go wrong with Founder's Dirty Bastard. The merlot here isn't so bad either. The fish tacos were just meh and so were the sliders during happy hour. Service during lunch is prompt--- oh damn get the bread pudding here! Usually packed on Friday evenings and it's hard to get a seat unless you get there early.

Grabbing a meal here at Poag Mahone's, 333 S Wells St, Chicago, IL 60604 is always good. The staff are great and they've got what you'd expect a nice pub menu for lunch. Great options for adult beverages as well. They put on a nice day with St. Patrick's day as well bringing in a pipe band at least once that day if not twice. Anyway it's well worth your trip over here to check it out!

Great Irish bar. Great corned beef. Accurate Guineas pours. But, somewhat slow service. That being said, the bar is large enough that you can get some space and don't feel crowded. Not common in the loop.

I was here previously for drinks. I then had lunch with a Co- workers and had the burger. The food was good. Very irish inside and alot of nostalgic 1920 pictures of Chicago. The bar has this huge well detailed wood bar and the staff was great. I will try to dine in again.

Great place with cheap beer and chill, Irish vibe. Highly recommend asking for the buffalo cheers curds; they're not on the menu but the staff like to make them special and they will change your life! 5/5
