"This hang comes from the same family behind Mills 50 stalwart Shin Jung Korean BBQ, billed as Orlando’s first Korean pub. The restaurant and lounge, designed to mimic ‘90s-era pubs in South Korea, specializes in pojang-macha (“pocha” for short) – unfussy Korean market/street food and cocktails. Patrons can slurp on infernal kimchi “army stew” before digging into an array of pub grub items like sausage and rice cake skewers, double-fried pork, trotters or stir-fried beef intestines. Tabletop grills allow for Korean barbecue. Naturally, drinks are a big part of the pocha experience, and along with rice wine, plum wine, soju, beer, and sake, cocktails are also shaken and stirred. FYI: the “93” signifies the year (1993) when Shin Jung opened." - Faiyaz Kara

This place is truly a hidden gem! It was an insanely busy Saturday night here and I highly commend the staff for their professionalism, teamwork, and incredible service. The food was absolutely delicious! Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. You could truly tell everything was crafted intentionally and made with love. The drinks were tasty and our bartender was very friendly even under the pressure of a full bar and restaurant. 10/10 experience all the way around! We will be back!!

We made a reservation and went early, right at the start of dinner service. There were only a few parties there, and we got seated at a comfortable booth close to the bar. The bartender was our waiter, and he is awesome! I ordered mocktail he created with lavender & lychee, and it was absolutely one of the best mocktails I’ve ever had. I would’ve never imagined those flavors together, but they work perfectly. Pure genius 🤌 All of the items we ordered were prepared quickly and had really big portions, which is great since everything was so delicious! We definitely ordered too much, but I’m happy to report that this stuff does travel home and reheat well. I was a little skeptical about the army stew, but it ended up being my favorite dish! I’m sensitive to spicy foods, and the chef left out some of the chili spice for me. It was really flavorful, still had a good kick, and was like a treasure trove of fun ingredients.

Very nice looking place inside w/ lots of space. Huge bar and plenty of drinks to choose from. Food is good and unique. We liked most items we ordered. Lots to choose from. A bit pricey for me. Better for young party people. If the economy wasn't so rough, it would probably be more crowded.

Wow wow wow! The food was sooo good. Our waiter Seth very amazingly accommodated our large party of 9 on a late Sat night. We ordered all our food before the kitchen closed at midnight, but the bar stays open until closing. Don’t make the same mistake we did by ordering way too much food!! They have the combo options for when you don’t want to think about what to order and it’s a good mix of different food options. We ordered the pocha feast as well as the pocha shareable thinking we needed more appetizers for everyone. The pocha feast can definitely feed at least 7 people and everyone will be satisfied!! The banchan were delicious and flavorful - you can usually judge a Korean restaurant by how good the side dishes are. The short ribs (ran out of bulgogi), pork belly, and army stew not pictured was delish as well! Soo yummy, 10/10 would recommend!!

Went to poocha 33 for a night of drinking with my best bud and I’ll tell you it was a night of relaxing good conversation and just a peaceful night overall. Brooke was an amazing bartender who listened to our thoughts on drink choices and gave a great recommendations. We went with the tigerspite which was spicy yet refreshing. Brooke being friendly and holding conversations with us have that welcoming feeling anyone who is going to a bar/restaurant would be looking for. I myself ordered deopbap I am one for spicy food but I wanted kimchi so I ordered this and it was really great. The rice was cooked perfectly and the pork was cooked to order.

This was our first time ever trying Korean food and we weren’t disappointed. Ro took time to explain the menu and provide several recommendations. The food came out fast and was amazing.

Yelp
From the owners of Shin Jung, a brand new Korean bar restaurant opened in the West Colonial Drive area near Metrowest. No reservation was needed on a Saturday night, but I had to park in the back and take a short walk to the restaurant. It wasn't too crowded when I entered, and I sat in the bar. I asked for a good drink and the bartender suggested the Busan boogie (16 dollars), which was also recommended by the guest next to me. It was a refreshing drink with the blueberries and other sweet bitters, and the bourbon was strong enough to be a little tipsy. However it was hotel expensive. For my food, I took the fish katsu (20 dollars), which included salad and rice with pickled radish. I was expecting small portions for a Korean bar, so I was surprised at the size of the plate. The fish was swai (part of the catfish family), which was mild and flaky. It tasted fresh and was lightly fried with panko, which made it filling. The salad was fresh too and the vinaigrette dressing was good. The rice had sesame and pickled radish, which had the right amount of crisp and sourness. I ordered the kimchi (3 dollars) as a side. It also had a nice amount of sourness and spiciness to enjoy. I wasn't sure if it was homemade, but still good. My bartender was friendly and helpful. Service was pretty quick too, and I was in and out within an hour. The atmosphere is pretty casual as it used to be an Ale House. I did like some of the Korean decorations, but felt the background music was a bit too light. It sounded like light soft rock and the crowd wasn't loud enough either. For a bar restaurant, I would have expected the noise and music to Pump It Up a bit more (Korean dancing game pun intended). The bar was in the center and dining area was ample. I didn't see outdoor seating though. Pocha 93 is located in a strip mall in the Colonial Drive area. Parking can get filling during the weekend, but you can still park in the back easily. I am very happy to see that Shin Jung added this restaurant near my parents' house. While the food and drinks are a bit pricey, it's filling and great quality. Definitely much better than the Chili's next door, and one I would visit again for nice Korean bar food.

Yelp
Walking BBQ What Ofcourse I went some some pocha activities. A friend and I sat at the bar and did some so-meak and quick bites. Ofcourse we got some soju and meakju. I love that they have the korean beers (imported) which makes it so much better for the experience. They have a variety of sojus available (as expected). I love that they also complete the experience with the cups as need. Straight or mix it. Environment Looks like this used to be an ale house that was repurposed. The inside smells like BBQ! Like for me, it isn't as attractive since I was not there for BBQ. Plenty of parking available outside and also quite a big space for seating inside with booths and bar seating. Niceness of the staff Very nice server. Good to see that the staff knows their stuff. Knowledgeable on the alcohol products, from the korean ways of drinking and types of beers and sojus. Dollar It was decent priced, a bottle was around 15$, can add up pretty quickly. Yes Not really, don't want to smell like bbq...

Yelp
Pocha 93 was a unique experience. We had a great date here because of the amazing hospitality and the attentive server. First time being a Korean Pub so I had no idea what to expect. Food: we ordered way too much food. So choose wisely if you are two person. We did spicy kimchi stew ramen called option Dul, and we added wings and two side dishes. Because we had to wait extra time for the spicy kimchi stew, the manager gave us two free appetizers so we were super stuffed. Their veggie mandu was probably one of the best one I had in Florida. The stew was more enough to feed 3-4 people. It was delicious and very well balanced. We enjoyed the Korea wings as well. The downside for this type of food is a bit pricey. I get it that it is unique but still. It should meet bar prices, not higher tier. However, they do have a lot happy hour specials and a new brunch menu. 4/5 Service: amazing service by the server and manager. Both were super attentive and they definitely make their customers are enjoying their experience. The server seems to be very knowledgeable about their dishes. 5/5 Atmosphere: awesome vibe with great vintage decorations. Definitely transformed like you were in a Korean bar. It even has a KAROEKE stage area. It has a lot space for seatings and it set up very well. 5/5 I would definitely come back to try their secret menu item like their secret burger. Looks amazing.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and order the Subak, Watermelon Soju asap when you get there! It's so refreshing and paired great with everything we ate. We ordered the wings (so so delicious), galbi, bulgogi beef, tteokbokki and sides of rice. The server was amazing helping us set up the grill and checking in on how it was heating for us to cook our meat. Everything had amazing flavor, we will definitely be going back. The space is awesome for both smaller and larger groups.

Yelp
Came to Pocha 93 first time, good experience!! The restaurant is spacious and cool decors! We got the watermelon drink (MUST TRY), so good, with fresh watermelon juice! Cool concept!! Food was good, really flavorful, but some are salty (had to ask for more broth in the noodles dish). Fried chicken is pretty decent as well. Recommend going with a group so you can try different dishes as well. Server is friendly and attentive! Would come here again!!

Yelp
The people behind the popular Shin Jung, one of my favorite spots, invoke the essence of Korean night street markets "pojangmacha" or "pocha" with their latest concept, Pocha 93. They capture a unique vibe with plentiful retro signs and Kpop playing on the speakers. Advertising itself as a hangout bar spot, they offer a variety of cocktails, beer, soju, and sake. They also have a watermelon soju mix that's served in a carved out watermelon. They serve a wide variety of food, from staple items like tteokbokki and fried chicken to the less common tangsuyuk and jokbal. Their main items are the iconic budaejjigae (army base stew) and odentang (fish cake soup) which can be ordered by itself or in a combo set that includes other dishes. The service here was definitely spectacular. Our waitress Kayla, explained the menu in incredible detail and answered all the questions our group had. She checked on us throughout the meal and made sure everything was going well. The food lived up to expectations. I liked the tangsuyuk and jokbal, although the budaejjigae was only okay for me. We ordered the Perfect Pear and Queen of Tears cocktails, both of which were delicious. I would say that this place is definitely on the pricer side, especially for the amount that you actually receive. And interestingly, banchan is ordered separately at an additional cost. I think if I really wanted a fun night out with some friends and lots of drinks I would make a point to come here. But if you just wanted a good meal you might find better value elsewhere.

Yelp
A good spot! It was our first time going this last weekend and we will be back! The inside was decorated nicely so that it gave off a casual hangout dinner spot. There was a huge bar in the center and lots of table/booth seating. We started off with cocktails (Arise and Seoul-d Fashioned) which were both good but the Seoul-d Fashioned could have gone a little heavier with the gochujang (definitely just depends on your preferences though). We want to try the Soju next time! For food we tried a handful of different bar food choices. Everything was delicious but the wings were incredible!

Wilson Rae C.

Yelp
Honestly I love coming to this place. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very chill. Good for a nice date night or night out to drink. I've been eating and drinking at the bar, but they have Korean barbecue as well. It's not all you can eat, but it's good food. The so-tteok so-tteok is the best bar food to eat while drinking. The staff and owner over there are super nice. They always try to accommodate to everyone's wants and needs.

Andrea S.

Yelp
Pocha 93 really prides themselves on fresh never frozen ingredients and all of their flavors made in house. This pub menu has plenty of small bites/bar food options, with a long list of Korean wine, beers, sakes, soju, and cocktails. In addition, you still find table-side Korean BBQ and stew. The perfect set up for sharing!

Bunny E.

Yelp
I am a big fan of Shin Jung, so when I heard they were opening a pub, I was wicked excited to go when they opened! Pocha is a Korean pub where they have light bites and plates, along with Korean bbq too. They have a great selection of soju, beer (some from local breweries), and cocktails. Walking into Pocha, I felt like I was transported to the 80s/90s in a Korean bar (even though I've never been to one, I imagine that's what it would be like!) Very cool retro looking decor. Our server was very attentive and we got our food as they were prepared. It was great ordering a bunch of food and sharing it among the table. I got the pitcher of lychee soju, which comes in a tall clear plastic looking milk carton, with fun lights inside. That was so much soju that I shared it between two other friends of mine. It was very sweet so I may not get it again (I don't drink too many sweet drinks) but it was fun to try. It was such a fun experience trying out the different Korean plates. I was adventurous and even tried the beef intestines! But ngl, I probably wont have it again but it was fun to have authentic foods. The downside for me (but may not be for others) is that it is located on West Colonial, past Pine Hills. It is far away from me to be able to frequent this place and I am never on that side of town. However, I will be willing to make a drive out there again for another dining occasion with friends!

Vivian P.

Yelp
I came here before Pocha 93 had took over and they really did quite a bit of renovations to the space. It looks really nice inside and out and gives really cool bar-like vibes. Plenary of seating and tables so good spot for groups. Our server was on point and took really good care of us and was very personable. We went with one of his recommendations, which is the army stew. It was really good, especially for the price. Feeling adventurous, I also got the beef intestines, which the portion was a little smaller than I had expected and felt like it had more onions/vegetables more than the actual beef intestines, the flavor was good though. Unfortunately, my husband and I don't drink so I can't speak for the drinks, but they looked good and they have a lot of variety.

Kassie C.

Yelp
First off I wanted to just thank you for having an amazing waitress. Her name is Michelle and she did such an amazing job explaining the menu. I went with a few friends and we had a couple of cocktails, but let's get into some of the meals that we had. I'm not a big cheese person however, I did try the cheese corn, which resembles a Elote but more of a Asian style. They're tteobokki was so delicious. I had a great kick And then I tried a cold noodle and I can't remember the name of it but it was also delicious and had a good spice on it because the Korean fried chicken wings were super good side to a crisp and also had a sweet glaze. We also enjoyed all of the cocktails we tried. I think the ETA was my favorite. I loved the facility it was extremely spacious.

Lili T.

Yelp
Everything that we ate was SO delicious. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I would recommend bringing a few friends with you to share the bigger items family style. I highly recommend the corn cheese and deopbap. I couldn't really taste the alcohol much in the watermelon soju and yogurt soju. I wish there was more alcohol for the price. The restaurant decor is like a korean pocha indoors - so cute! We waited about 20 minutes for a table for 6 on a Saturday night. I liked that we were able to order drinks at the bar while we waited. The service was also great.

Jasmine L.

Yelp
This Korean pub has opened recently and I'm impressed with its well-decorated interior. Our waiter, Seth, was excellent--he checked on us frequently and made sure everything was going smoothly. We tried a variety of dishes: the so-tteok so-tteok skewer (a sausage and rice cake skewer with gochujang sauce), Korean fried chicken (coated in a yummy gochugaru sauce), maekjeok (pork belly with side dishes), boo dae jigae, a pitcher of mango soju, and a bottle of Terra. The food and drinks were served quickly, which was a plus. The so-tteok so-tteok skewer was good but nothing crazy. We really enjoyed the fried chicken--it was crispy and the sauce was packed with flavor. The pork belly, while good, was a bit underwhelming for $11, as it came with only six thin slices of pork belly (I don't remember the count exactly but around that amount...) and some banchan. The boo dae jigae was satisfying and a good portion for $25. The mango soju pitcher was nice; it came in a milk-carton-like container with colorful lights and tasted just like mango juice--perfect for someone like me who prefers drinks with minimal alcohol taste. For three people, our total bill was around $100. While some menu items felt a bit pricey for what you get, others were worth it (boo dae jigae and fried chicken). The pub offers bar seating as well as plenty of tables, making it a great spot for a casual night out with friends.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our visit to Pocha 93...we weren't quite sure what to expect as we don't often have Korean food, but our server was attentive and kind, and walked us through every step. We found the prices to be very fair and the happy hour drink special was an added bonus as we got to try the seoul fashioned. Our favorite was the cheesy corn skillet, and my kiddos said the edamame were perfect. It was fun to grill the meat on the in front of us and the array of sauces added to the awesome experience. We will definitely come back!

Caroline C.

Yelp
We got a few drinks: The blue bunny: Probably top three drinks I've had in Orlando. My friend is not a gin lover and this was her favorite drink. The fresh blueberries make it. Jeju sunrise: twist on a classic Stephen behind the bar was also super informative and even told us that the meats are aged and we could definitely taste the wonderful difference when we ordered at the table!!

Megan T.

Yelp
Great decor and vibe :) ETA drink was really good! The dwaeji suyuk was good, except the cabbage was cold. Would have been a lot better if it was hot like the pork. The corn cheese was delicious! I would probably come back

Michelle L.

Yelp
Definitely a needed bar food place for Orlando. I came here with a group of friends and it's a good place to eat and hangout. We ordered Set #2 along with the potato tornado and corn cheese. Honestly it was enough for feed all 4 of us. The watermelon soju was refreshing. Heads up, adding more soju costs extra - that was the part I wish was clearer. It was almost implied that it was something they do on the house by request. Nope, we were charged for it. My favorites had to be the army stew and pork and rice side that came with the set. I'm not a corn cheese person but it was delicious. Good flavors all around. The vibes are solid. Will come back again without ordering the watermelon soju though.

Moriah L.

Yelp
The Chili's of the Orlando Asian food scene. Everything was just good. It was alright. For the price it just really isn't worth it to me. Gogi is right there (my favorite KBBQ/HotPot spot in Orlando) and it wouldn't ever make sense to me to go to Pocha instead of Gogi. Everything costs a little too much and the quality of the food just isn't quite there when there are so many incredible spots around Orlando. It was good, but nothing to write home about. I would strongly suggest never coming here if you're vegan. The egg thing was really good and the drinks were interesting. The service was FANTASTIC and the ambience is pretty cool if you ignore that it does seem like someone slapped a Korean spot onto a Chili's.

Kay C.

Yelp
Tried a new place today. Pocha 93. Korean Pub on West colonial. Good food and friendly service. Full bar and happy hour all day Sunday. Will definitely go again. Tried the Korean chicken wings, dumplings and pork belly Ramon. Everything was perfectly spiced and plenty of food. We had the brunch menu. Will be back to try the full menu. Worth the drive!

Julie N.

Yelp
great atmosphere, the food came out piping hot so be careful but it was interesting trying a new dish! the bartender was very nice as well. The tteokbokki was very flavorful and was sort of sweet and spicy 9/10, the corn cheese was pretty good but it was literally just cheese and corn haha so it tasted exactly like that. would definitely come back again!

Fabu L.

Yelp
Food, service, and ambiance all excellent. Jasmine was our server and was pleasant, engaging, and too notch. Despite managing 5 busy tables, she was attentive and quick with our requests. The prepared foods were delicious. Best sauce on the fried chicken which were simultaneously crispy and tender. The rice cakes and sausage appetizer were also very tasty and a larger portion would have been nice but the sizes were similar to tapas. The cheesy corn was the most flavorful I've had in the area and very cheesy with a sweet overtone. All the meats for the grill were well seasoned and definitely fresh. Sizes are small so be prepared to order more than one serving. The flank steak was the best. Was not crazy about the ribs because mostly bone and fatty. Would have liked a more varied vegetable option than kimchi and lettuce. Next time will try one of the stews. The watermelon drink (in a half of a watermelon with a ladle) is a cute idea and was a sweet blend of watermelon and wine. Was not strong and was enough for 2-3 people to comfortably enjoy and still drive. Place was clean and well maintained. A spacious bar area with booths and tables on the outskirts of the restaurant. Table sizes are comfortable with cushioned chairs. We had a great time, it was not overly expensive, and we will definitely return.

Ho-Yan C.

Yelp
Me and my partner came back and we were very delighted to give this restaurant another try. We ordered the bar foods and specials that caught our eye from our first visit, and we were very satisfied with the food. The service was very friendly and the ambiance was a great late night bar hang out place. I will definitely tell my friends to stop by! We tried the Tteokbokki, Tangsuyuk, two of their fall specials (Potato Tornado and the Pork Bulgogi Bowl). We will definitely return to try the rest of the menu!

Chris G.

Yelp
We came here on a Wednesday night, and were extremely pleased! Incredible ambiance, fantastic interior design, and pleasant lighting. We ordered steak, short ribs and sweet and sour pork, and all of it was absolutely phenomenal. The drinks were strong, flavorful, creative and fun. The service was prompt and we were pleased with the manager that came by to advise us when we mentioned that one in our group had diet restrictions. Prompt, friendly and pleasant. We look forward to our next visit.

Sharon ..

Yelp
Went here later one night after a concert. The service, food and ambiance was amazing. Wish it was closer but now i'm going back for my birthday on Christmas night. So happy

Christine H.

Yelp
Michelle was awesome server who really wanted to share the Korean drinking and social culture and there were Korean bar foods I haven't seen anywhere else in town. We got the pitcher of the yogurt (yakult) with soju which was a fun drink for a group.

Jessica C.

Yelp
The drinks that we got, the watermelon soju and mango soju pitcher, both tasted very good. Everyone in my group liked them a lot. We would come back just for those. The server was also very nice and friendly and extremely helpful. The establishment itself had a very cozy/cool interior. The food tasted good, it tasted like bar food. My favorites were the corn cheese and the So-tteok So-tteok. The price wasn't too bad given how much drink and food was given.

Soe K.

Yelp
From the owners of Shin Jung Korean restaurant they brought a first Korean pub to Orlando. The restaurant is conveniently close to H Mart that is opening this year so that'll be exciting. We went all out and ordered almost all of the menu. All of the meats we grilled were tender and freshly cut. The drinks were also on point. Bar manager Andy and bartender Stephen made some pretty great Korean inspired drinks with fresh fruits. My standouts were the Blue bunny and the Seoul sisters.

Gloria O.

Yelp
I just came back from a 3 month stay in South Korea a month ago so my expectations were pretty high and it did not disappoint at all. The place is super cool from the moment you step in,bar area in the middle of the restaurant and tables all around it. It will be fun to come just for drinks too! As the drinks menu it is pretty impressive !! The food was amazing we went with the bbq ordered some beef bulgogi, pork shoulder and LA kalbi short ribs , lettuce perilla leaves, rice , kimchi. The meats come with garlic cloves (we put them on the grill to roast) and sauces and it was so so so good!!! My daughter ordered Korean style wings (4). They have the Terra and Cass bottle beer that we love!! We will be regulars for sure From now on!!! Ohh and our server Annette was amazing !!! Can't wait to go back and try something else

Ambika S.

Yelp
It was clean and spacious on the inside! The food tasted fine, I would go back again. Service was great!

Luna S.

Yelp
David was very nice and attentive. He went over the menu. The restaurant is very cute. I recommend the soju pitcher with yogurt.

Farah G.

Yelp
Great place, the wings were so tasty, fresh, and crunchy. Also had a cocktail, 10/10. As you can see in the photo the wings are GONE. So good ! Carson served us in the bar ! great service

Kierna C.

Yelp
The food was super comforting and high quality. Nothing is frozen, all cooked fresh. Service was immaculate (we love you Hailey and Tim!) and we even made friends with the table next to us. We will definitely be back and plan to make this place a regular spot.

Camille D.

Yelp
Great experience at Pocha 93! Wonderful service, good vibe and atmosphere. The food was really good, they had unique and traditional KBBQ options. Fun drinks and good for groups. Check it out!

Paul N.

Yelp
This place is our new Friday go to spot. After spending some time in South Korea and falling in love with the food and culture there as welll as living in Koreatown Los Angeles I'd say this place is official. Great food and ambiance.

Julian N.

Yelp
This place is one of my new favorites. We loved everything from the food, service, and ambiance. The decor gives it a fun and inviting Korean pub aesthetic, the servers are friendly and helpful, and the food was tasty and delicious. We had the tteok-bokki, the fried chicken wings, and the kbbq and we loved everything. Highly recommend!

Flashbangster

Yelp
Everything was really good, the service was really good and the food was amazing, the ambience is really cozy and I loved the decoration of the place. Definitely will be coming back until I've tried the whole menu!

Ernest O.

Yelp
I'm so glad we're getting more choices on the west side of town. Pocha 93 is a solid spot for date night or friends and family gatherings. The ambiance is cozy, and the floor-plan is spacious...very easy to move around. We were greeted and told it was going to be a 30 minute wait, and we were given a few options to sit in a nice waiting area or head to the bar for drinks. We took the latter and enjoyed a nice Asian pear cocktail and my local favorite "high stepper" IPA. The bartender offered up some great conversation and explained how they really want to be known as a Korean Pub, vs. a Korean BBQ joint. I think they've done a great job and I feel this is a Korean pub that can hold its own against local favorites like Susarru, Juju and Domu. Before we knew it, our table was ready so we closed our tab. We had beef and pork bulgogi at our built in table grill. We also ordered a side of rice, some kimche' and some leaves for wrappin'. The portions were perfectly sized for our table of 2 and we were able to polish everything off ending the evening feeling nice and full. I highly recommend this place and I know for a fact we'll be back again soon. With H-Mart opening soon, they may offer a few more options, especially Korean beers n alcohol.

Lauren L.

Yelp
Really has the vibe of a fun hangout spot. Tangsuyuk was the biggest hit for us but everything was very good and the staff were so nice. Can't wait to go back and try more!
