"This South Indian restaurant is our favorite kind-of-fancy, sit-down spot in Artesia’s Little India. The waiters wear button-downs, there’s a water feature near the entrance, and the big round tables are set with elaborate colorful menus. While Podi specializes in crispy dosa flavored with fragrant spice blends, everything from the spicy Chettinad goat curry to the Amaravathi biryani is flat-out delicious. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily, but keep in mind that the wait times can be well over two hours on weekends." - nikko duren, brant cox

Be sure to cap off your meal with some of their house-blended chai." - nikko duren, brant cox

"This is the place to go for Andhra Pradesh-style hot, crispy dosas and chutney that packs plenty of heat. The restaurant also serves over a dozen different types of podis, or ground spice and lentil blends, that are delicious with generous servings of ghee or oil and go with dosas and idli." - Virali_Dave

"Chennai is a casual, sit-down spot that specializes in dosas you won’t find anywhere else. While most South Indian restaurants are entirely vegetarian, Chennai Dosa Corner also offers Indian crepes filled with meat dishes like mutton goat curry and minced chicken keema. With 25 different options on the menu, you could come here on a monthly basis and never eat the same dosa twice for years. Dosa varieties at Chennai range from soft and spongy kal dosa to thin and crispy uttapam, and each one comes with a side of coconut chutney and spicy lentil-filled sambar broth." - Nikko Duren

I’ve visited this restaurant more times than I can count and have never been disappointed with their food. Located in a plaza, there are parking spots available, though during weekends or busy hours, it fills up quickly. The restaurant is on the smaller side, with a decent seating capacity, but it fills up fast on weekends, leading to longer wait times. The service staff is friendly, but during peak times, the service can feel slow or inattentive. As the name suggests, this place is great for trying dosa. The dosas are thick, the portions are huge (easily enough for one person), and the prices are affordable. The taste is exemplary. They’re known for their large portions, and while their biryani is good, we usually stick with their dosas. Be careful not to underestimate the portion size—I’ve seen people order multiple dishes only to realize it’s more than enough to share. Their mutton keema curry dosa is a standout, with the keema packed full of flavor. If you’re in the area or looking for a spot with good, filling food, this place is worth a visit—just be prepared for potential wait times and slower service during busy periods.

Best dosa varieties and chutneys. Definitely not frozen coconut chutney and you can tell it from its taste and smell. Great Indian food

Have visited Podi Dosa for dinner along with friends family while returning from Universal Studios. Booked for 8 people and waiting time was just 15 minutes. We ordered chicken kothu poratta, podi dosa, masala podi dosa, gee podi dosa and cheese onion dosa. Vera level dosas and traste. 1 order was great for 2 people and price is okay for two. Chicken kothu was also very good, we enjoyed our dinner. 5-6 varieties of chutneys served along with sambar. Great food, we liked it

First and foremost, you came here for authentic Indian cuisine! This place is on a par all it’s on. The foods here are seasoned to perfection. There are great Indian restaurants here but this one is superb when it comes to taste. Please note that all foods here are authentic and cooked true to the last spice so don’t come here thinking you can change the heat like other places. This little tidbit is one of the things that makes it so amazing. It’s the unwillingness to compromise the true flavor of the dishes. Also I read a few negative reviews here which complains about time, well my friends this is not Indian fast food! Each dish is made fresh from start to finish which is why this place is always packed. Dosas take time! Perfection takes time 😝. Now the food. I didn’t order my typical smorgasbord of entrees this time. I only stuck to my favorites. Two orders of Amaravathi Gobi, fish 65 wet, wada, and bhatura. Amaravathi Gobi is one of the best things your taste buds could ever behold. The crispness and bursts of flavors are second to none. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to this amazing dish!!! Then we have Fish 65 wet which is seasoned too perfection as well . Perfectly spicy and cooked with a level of juiciness that makes this fish dish one of the tastiest. Next we have the Wada and bhatura and they are both just extremely tasty. Both of these dishes elsewhere can seem a little on the boring side elsewhere, but not here! They are both bursting with flavor which almost make them seem like a different dish.

Breakfast at Podi is special. They have a separate breakfast menu definitely deserves a visit. We had Idly, served with delicious spread of chutneys. I recommend all of them - the coconut one, the peanut one as well as the tomato and the spicy one. Their Sambhar, Masala tea, the Andhra Style Dosa and the Spicy omelette were also good. The latter were a bit spicy for us and hence recommend you order based on your tolerance for spicy 🌶️! Washed it off with their filter coffee which was authentic. As usual, their portion sizes are large and sharing recommend if you want to try a variety of dishes. We got so tempted by their offerings that we got a take away for dinner for their Indian Chinese - Veggie Fried Rice, Veg Manchurian and noodles the next day. Will definitely visit again to try other dishes too!

Crazy quantity and amazing quality. One biryani can be consumed for two days for two people (again depends on each individual consumption). I love chicken dum biryani and thalapakatti goat biryani. Sry authentic. All other items on the menu taste good. Dosa is best when you dine in. I recommend that for Dosa lover. Service is good. Wait time is longer good to place order on call and then pick them up. Ordered gobi Manchurian and fried rice - it tasted great.

1. If you plan during the weekend then you need to wait minimum 15 mins to allocate your table. 2. May take another 15 mins to serve your items. 3. The quantity is more than expected, at the same time price is also more than 20 to 30% higher than other restaurants. 4. Service is good. 5. Go with the group of 4 to 10 person to share the foods. 6. Enjoy

Each order of food is sharing size only. Don’t get one order per person. Otherwise food is OK, not great. If they focused on providing smaller quantity and better quality, I would pay the same price. Gobi Manchurian was good but Kothu Parotta was disappointing. Dosa is too large and we have pay extra for Potato masala (lol).
