The 11 Best Indian Restaurants In Artesia's Little India - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"This South Indian restaurant is our favorite kind-of-fancy, sit-down spot in the neighborhood. The waiters wear button-downs, there’s a water feature near the entrance, and the big round tables are set with elaborate colorful menus. While Podi specializes in crispy dosa flavored with fragrant from-scratch spice blends, everything from the spicy Chettinad goat curry to the Amaravathi biryani is flat-out delicious. The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner daily, but keep in mind that the wait times can be well over two hours on weekends. Be sure to cap off your meal with some of their house-blended chai." - nikko duren, brant cox

Chennai Dosa Corner - Review - Artesia - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Chennai is a casual, sit-down spot that specializes in dosas you won’t find anywhere else. While most South Indian restaurants are entirely vegetarian, Chennai Dosa Corner also offers Indian crepes filled with meat dishes like mutton goat curry and minced chicken keema. With 25 different options on the menu, you could come here on a monthly basis and never eat the same dosa twice for years. Dosa varieties at Chennai range from soft and spongy kal dosa to thin and crispy uttapam, and each one comes with a side of coconut chutney and spicy lentil-filled sambar broth." - Nikko Duren

Went to this very hyped-up restaurant after hearing a lot of people talk about its taste and authenticity, so expectations were quite high. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t fully live up to the hype. I tried the filter coffee with high hopes, but it was served lukewarm to cold and didn’t resemble authentic South Indian filter coffee in taste or preparation. We also ordered podi idli and podi dosa. Both dishes were average at best—the podi lacked the bold, aromatic flavor it’s known for, and the overall taste felt muted. The podi also didn’t feel very fresh, which was disappointing. We tried the punugulu as well, which was the highlight of the meal and tasted good. However, the staff seemed hesitant to provide extra chutney, something that is usually standard and generously offered at most Indian restaurants. Overall, while the restaurant has a lot of buzz around it, the food quality and authenticity fell short of expectations. With better consistency, freshness, and attention to traditional flavors, the experience could be much better.

Google
Amazing south indian food. Unlimited sambhar. We liked their ghee podi idli, paneer bhurji dhosa. My favorite was spring roll dosa with manchurian flavour and mendu wada. Quantity is quite a lot so be careful while ordering.

Plenty of parking nearby and lots of space inside, with a clean and traditional vibe that makes dining in comfortable. We ordered the Chef’s Special Paneer Dosa, Chettinad Chicken Curry, Garlic Naan, and the Podi Dosa with Potato Filling the podi dosa was the highlight, absolutely superb! Prices are around $15–$25 per person, and they also sell a nice variety of spices to take home. The menu has plenty of options, making it a great spot for dosa lovers and anyone craving authentic South Indian flavors.

We landed in Podi Dosa , Artesia last weekend on our way to Universal Studios,Hollywood from San Diego , to have a quick lunch. The onion masala dosa was amazing and since it came in slices, my 7 year old daughter was able to eat parts of it, she loved the crispy and crunchy slices. The dosas came with an assortment of chutneys and we also got extra serving of sambar. I can say that the dosas here are just divine, wish we had this restaurant in San Diego.

The egg donne biryani was great however the chicken version was very spicy for all of us. The egg kottu was good too.

I LOVE THIS PLACE! Best breakfast in town. I love the spicy dosa with paneer. The service is fast and friendly. And the food is so so so good. I love that they also have a big selection of drinks including sparkling wine and beer

Google
Favorite new spot in Artesia, with killer veg & non veg options! From the outside it gives hole in the wall strip mall South Indian cafe vibes. I’d heard about the amazing food through word of mouth and can confirm it’s all that, and some! They literally have multiple menus distinguished by dosa options - indo Chinese - & desserts/drinks. Their lamb, butter chicken, and karahi paneer were 10/10, chef’s kiss. Flavorful, spicy and very rich. Masala dosa hit the spot! Breads wise, garlic naan & paneer kulcha didn’t disappoint, but heads up about the kulcha: it’s fully loaded with spices, and not the plain kind you may have experienced elsewhere. Portions are very generous, it’s definitely family style. We went for lunch and didn’t need dinner - we were that full and satisfied. Tip: Go hungry and ready for a heavy, spot hitting deliciousness. Kudos to the chefs and hard working staff!

Google
We came here to dine in at 2 pm. One lady here said we can’t allow that time to dine in. I asked the reason and she said cleaning the store and that’s the owner's order too. She said you can order only for takeout. That’s not fare we came here after a 40- 45-minute drive. The regular open hours are 11-3pm and 5pm to 10pm.

Yelp
They really fixed this restaurant up! It is super pretty, good service, and yummy food. It is a bit loud due to crowds, but a solid place for authentic dosas. The downside is that they are expensive now, when before they were super affordable. Also, the items pictured on the menu you do not reflect the actual dishes. We each had a mango lassi, which was excellent. We also had an apricot delight for dessert which was absolutely nothing like the menu in picture or description. I would have returned it, but we got it to go. You cannot got wrong with the dosas though. Super good. No photos! Grrrrrr

Yelp
We had been eating for about 40-45 minutes, struggling to finish the extremely large portions since we were unaware they served such heavy quantities. We were already full and asked the waitress to cancel our Gobi Manchurian order. We were told this wasn't possible because it had already started cooking, even though we had already been waiting 40-45 minutes and the dish still had not arrived. We understood that if the dish had come on our table within the first 20 minutes of our order, we would have paid for it. All the stuff we ordered came in a random way, with the dosas first instead of the appetizer we'd ordered. After disputing this for another 10 minutes, we were forced to pay $20 for the Gobi Manchurian despite clearly stating that we wanted to cancel and that the excessive wait time was the reason. The waitstaff did not guide us at all regarding portion sizes, even after we mentioned it was our first time dining there. The manager and a couple of the waitresses were rude, and the long delay in the cooking process only worsened the situation. The portion sizes were unreasonably large--far more than what most people could comfortably eat in one sitting. In the end, we had to pack everything up as we weren't able to finish it. At first, we thought the food was decent, but it really wasn't. After a couple hours, we felt very nauseous and uneasy. Additionally, the dosa we ordered was filled to the brim with potatoes, making it overly soggy. The cheese dosa contained an excessive amount of cheese and onions--more than what you'd find in a pizza or pasta dish--which overwhelmed the dish entirely. We even called the manager to let her know of our experience, but she refused to take accountability and instead handled the matter unprofessionally. All she asked was, "Do you have any other questions?" rather than apologizing or providing any kind of relief. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. While the ambiance itself was decent, the restaurant was chaotic, poorly managed, and the delays were unnerving. The only thing that was good were the chutneys, but compared to everything else we ordered, this is not a good sign. If you do decide to go here, just know that this restaurant will have you fighting for your money in case you're not able to finish anything, so order carefully and be sure to ask the waiters twice for any questions or concerns as they can be quite passive aggressive.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Artesia. Every time I come here, I always order the same thing: Mysore podi Dosa with Amul Ghee. It's basically a thin, crispy South Indian "crepe" that has Mysore (dry red chutney powder), grilled onions, and clarified butter. It's spicy and full of flavor! The best part is the different chutneys they serve ranging from sesame chutney to coconut and tamarind chutney. The dosa also comes with sambar, which is a vegetable curry with lentils and tamarind. It's a bit tangy, but not too spicy; it goes well with the dosa. I've tried their Mysore idli (made of rice and lentils) and vegetable pakoras (fried fritters), which are also delicious. The Mysore powder brings the perfect amount of spice to the idli and the pakoras are nice and crispy. Wait time can be long and service can be a bit slow due to being short-staffed or busy with other customers. I think it's worth the wait though! Highly recommend to try the Mysore podi dosa if you haven't already

Yelp
Came here for New Year's Day with a group four. The service was unorganized and chaotic, and the staff do not communicate with each other. We were sat at a table and then were told to get up because the table belonged to another party, when two waiters confirmed for our party to sit. Absolutely ridiculous and will not be coming here again. Very disheartening because I have been here before and I know the food is good, so we were prepared to wait, but this was just unacceptable.

Yelp
Wow. I tried Podi Dosa today and I genuinely thought it was the best dosa I've had so far. I'm so glad I stopped by after studying at the Cerritos Library. It was busy and I can definitely see why now. Service was friendly and the food came out in a timely manner. I ordered the Podi Dosa to go and it was delicious. It contained potatoes, onions, and spices - along with a variety of chutneys. The spice was not too intense for me! I'm not sure which chutney was which but they were all amazing. Flavors and textures were on point. Both the dosa and the mango lassi were delicious. I will be back for more soon!

Yelp
Podi Dosa is such an authentic Indian restaurant that serves such amazing dosas! This is my first time trying dosas and wow was it yummy. This restaurant is located in little India of Artesia. Parking there was not bad. The wait for this restaurant can be quite long especially on the weekends. After sitting, we were greeted and given menus. The menu had a lot of different items but our eyes were set on the main attraction which were the dosas. We got two of the masala dosas and got chicken biryani as well. The masala dosa was so hot and fresh. The crepe was nice and crispy on the outside and the potato filling packed a good heat and flavor. I love all of the chutneys and sauces that came along with it. They all had their unique taste to it. The chicken biryani was also cooked and spiced well. The egg in the middle was a nice addition to the dish. Overall, I had a great time here. I still crave the dosas as I'm writing this review. I'll be back for some more!

Yelp
Stopped by on Mother's Day and there was a line outside. Luckily, we were a small party and were able to get seated right away. Even though they were packed, the service was quick and attentive. We got the masala dosa and lamb biriyani (regular). Both dishes were great! It was the best masala dosa I've had in a while. The dosa was crispy and came with sambar & variety of chutneys. They also gave the option to have the masala on the side or inside the dosa. The biriyani was flavorful & plentiful! Some of the lamb pieces had bones which I'm not complaining about. There was also a whole boiled egg which was a pleasant & welcomed surprise. I was told the regular biriyani is not spicy, but if you have a low spice tolerance, you might still find the 'regular' biriyani spicy. The other types of biriyani are considered spicy so if you're looking for something hotter, try that out. The biriyani also came with raita (yogurt) to help cool down your palette. The only addition I wished for was a nice tangy & spicy lemon pickle to go with it. There's plenty of parking space in that plaza. There's only one bathroom each for men & women with sinks inside, and could be better maintained. Expect a line if you need to use the toilet or wash your hands before/after a meal. Restrooms are in the back near the kitchen and everyone in line had eye irritation from the raw onion enzymes wafting out of the kitchen. Small price to pay but be prepared for that.

Yelp
Outstanding food, but not for the faint hearted. The food is authentic and very spicy. The menu is very long (20+ pages) and if you are not familiar with the cuisine, it's very confusing. The interior is plain, but clean. The service is friendly. The food is the star. Unlike other South Indian restaurants in Artesia, they have non vegetarian options and wine and beer. If you want to try a different kind of Indian food, then this is the place.

Yelp
Ordered takeout today, did not have to wait at the counter, food was packed nicely and was delicious as always!

Yelp
Great dosas and excellent service! The staff was very welcoming and friendly, which made the dining experience even better. The Mysore masala dosa was fantastic, with a perfect amount of flavorful masala, but the plain dosa stole the show for me. It was so crispy and crunchy that I enjoyed eating it on its own. I always get the masala (potatoes) on the side to keep the dosa from getting soggy, and it worked perfectly here. The variety of chutneys provided was amazing--my favorites were the spicy peanut, tomato, and sweet mango pickle. The sambar was also well-seasoned and delicious. My dad ordered the chicken curry, and he loved it--the chicken was tender, and the flavors were spot on. The only downside was that the dosas were a bit too oily for my liking. I asked for them to be made without ghee, but next time, I'll also request less oil, which the staff assured me is possible. The lassi was perfectly tart and sweet - paired well with spicy dishes.

Food was good. My Favorite was the chicken biriyani. Longer wait. Worth visiting again.

Yelp
The food, and especially the dosas, are so so so good in this place! The portions are very generous and it's easy to order way too much. If you're not too familiar with Indian food you might have a difficult time getting much information from the servers so I suggest you research in advance. Their gigantic family size masala dosa is fantastic, and their Manchurian Gobi (cauliflower) is one to obsess about. The restaurant's vibe is laidback and casual. It gets busy over the weekend so be ready to wait around peak lunch and dinner time.

Yelp
1 Star Visited: May 15 at 12:00 PM Party of 5 I recently visited Podi with clients visiting from Mumbai who were craving South Indian food. Despite my hesitation, we went at their request. Unfortunately, our experience was a complete disappointment from start to finish. Although the restaurant was quiet, it took 15 minutes for the host to take our drink and appetizer order. When we asked questions about portion sizes and popular items, the host mumbled her responses under her breath, avoided eye contact, and seemed generally uninterested in helping -- unacceptable, especially with an automatic gratuity applied to parties of five or more. We ordered the masala lassi and Podi idli. The idlis were soggy with a burnt flavor, and the lassi was so spicy I had to dilute it. Attempts to get the host's attention were ignored, and support staff did not speak English. We ate only two out of three idlis and voiced our concerns, only to be told, "That's how they are" -- a dismissive and unhelpful response. We moved on to lunch, still trying to get decent recommendations, but again received no guidance. When placing our order, I was told to confirm it on a handheld device and warned it couldn't be canceled. As if we had time to waste -- we were clearly there for lunch! We ordered: * 1 plain dosa * 3 onion chili rava dosas * 1 cocktail uthappam plate (5 pieces) We asked about portion sizes and were told the uthappams were small -- they were not. When the food arrived, the dosa and rava dosas were cold and slightly charred. The uthappams came out late and were oversized and missing the onions described on the menu. When we questioned it, we were told, again dismissively, "These are cocktail size." We had no time left to address it further as we had to leave for our next meeting. My Ratings: Cleanliness: 5/5 Ambiance: 2/5 Service: 0/5 Food Quality: 0/5 I don't normally leave negative reviews, but this experience left a bad impression -- especially when hosting international guests expecting authentic Indian cuisine. Podi was a complete letdown. I won't be returning and cannot recommend it to others.

Yelp
The restaurant offers a variety of different dishes. Meat dishes, vegetarian, vegan... I like the variety but my favorites are still the Dosa`s. Its a favorite so sometimes there is a wait. The service is not the greatest, but the food is good.

Edwin A.

Yelp
The food was honestly good and we would have come back here regularly if not for the extremely pathetic service. We ordered 3-4 items and had lots of left over food but the servers just refused to give a take out box.. I had to literally fight with them for over 10 mins to give a damn BOX to take home the food that we paid for and couldn't finish.. I've never seen a restaurant who is this stingy over a take out box .. It turned us off to the point that we just regretted ever going there and definitely won't be going there henceforth.. to the nice cooks inside .. please leave and find another place worthy of your cooking!

Yelp
Saturday 12:50pm First time! If you're a frequenter of Indian buffets this is not the same although there are some menu items that will be familiar. I highly recommend that if you are unfamiliar, you look at the menu well ahead and do some research to differentiate the dozens and dozens of options on the dosas. There are 3 menus: alcohol, biryani, and dosas + everything else. After a lengthy deliberation and some outsourced text recommendations from friends we chose: Masala dosa pav bhaji butter chicken spicy We found the food to be highly enjoyable. Water refills were regularly offered during my visit.

Yelp
THE BEST MOST TASTIEST FOOD EVER. My favorite! Everything is fresh and delicious. Full of flavor and fresh spices. The customer service has VASTLY improved recently. The dosas and chutneys are great! The chicken 65 wet byrianni is awesome. The channa masala is wonderful. Chole bathura great for breakfast! Pav baji so yummy. Palak paneer is super fresh! There are so many great options. The raita is my favorite side. The Sambar soup a great addition to any dosa or even on its own! They even have Gobi 65 now which makes me so happy. If you enjoy spicy you will love the food! The updated menu includes descriptions of all the items. Highly recommend if you want the most flavorful and fresh Indian food around. Your tastebuds will thank you!

Yelp
To start with this place has NO AIR CONDITIONER. So if you plan to visit this in the summer you can barely sit and eat sweating away . It was horrible . Ceiling has holes and signs of water leaking. Place is busy they do make an effort to clean the table but clean the table only to drop the food on the floor which is filthy. We could barely eat our food as it was so hot in there . The service is so bad you will get the order in pieces . Got the idly but sambar came 10 minutes later after asking for it . You have to keep asking for things constantly. Food is not bad once it all shows up Asked for Rava dosa they server said no. My next table over asked and got it ??? Horrible service Sambar is horrible . Dosa ok !!! Idly forget it don't order it Not worth the torture to this place will be passing it for sure .

Rasika W.

Yelp
They messed up with our order and convinced us to take the food which we didn't order. However, we said no. Then they gave us the items we ordered. However, look at the subtotal of the attached bill here. The subtotal should be $47.47 (before tax). But they have manually changed it to $68.46. I can't believe they did it. I never do calculations manually but this was obvious. They didn't have an answer when we questioned. No apologies. I dont recommend this place. If you go there, please check your bill

Yelp
I been a regular customer of this restaurant for over a decade but unfortunately it's clear things have changed.. and not for the better! While the food has always been decent, customer service was consistently been an issue with long waits and significant delays in getting orders (hence the bad ratings from everyone)! What's worse is the drastic price hikes over the past couple of years. A dosa now costs $20!! and an appetizer (idly) is $15!! To put this into perspective, we spent $40+ on just one appetizer and a single main dish--no drinks, no dessert and definitely not a full meal for two. This was meant to be a light dinner for two not so hungry people but the bill felt more like fine dining at a casual restaurant. At these prices, I much rather take my business to Rajdhani where the food is great and the value feels justified!

Anoushka C.

Yelp
I've had a few people recommend this spot to me and now I see why! We came at 12pm on Saturday and were seated immediately. It can get very crowded but we got there at the right time before the afternoon rush. The place was clean and the service was quick. The portions are very big, so we split the masala dosa and chicken biryani among 4 people and that was enough food. They give you sambar and a variety chutneys for the dosa and you can ask for refills which is great. It's definitely worth the price you pay since it is a little more than some other places, but the quantity makes up for it. We finished our meal with the falooda which was very big! More than enough for a group of 4 to split.

Rajesh G.

Yelp
I been to this restaurant on monday and the experience was hilarious i did'nt expect this it was my birthday but they spoil all my birthday the food was like junk I'll never come in this restaurant all the food was like burned overall the staff was really rude tho they were keep saying kitchen going to close it was soo bad experience

Yelp
Ate their masala dosa ( masala on the side) and I was blown away with the quality of the dosa . Very crispy all the way to the end , plenty of assortment of chatani's and good tasing sambar. It was huge . I can say " I had the best dosa in a very long time ". Whenever I visit LA I will visit this place for sure . Keep up the great work . Thanks .

Yelp
We visited just at the start of the lunch hour. We had been impressed with their dosa and non- veg dishes during our visits over the past two years. We ordered the masala dosa which comes a selection of chutneys we love, served in generous proportions and the kulfi falooda. The kulfi falooda was switched to strawberry falooda without asking with unnecessary additions of jelly and boba pcs. It was ok; just not what we had ordered. The saddest part refusal to offer us the option to take home the leftover chutneys unless we also took the leftover dosa which was mot much (???) We decided if that was the case we would take the leftover dosa too. The chutneys were not fitting in the tiny 3 sauce containers - by this time I was already very disappointed in this 'lack of service' ' from the restaurant main server a young lady. Then, to make matters worse they repeatedly refused to provide a take out box! What kind of restaurant are they running? They prefer to throw away the chutneys? What a waste of their best offering! Never ever has a restaurant refused a take out box in our 35+ years in USA. They had takeout boxes aplenty on a side table by the cashier counter. I had to take a stand and demand a takeout box! This is not a place worth visiting if they are so inhospitable and wasteful of the food they prepare. This is not a part of the Indian culture. Left a bad taste in my mouth and also lead me to wonder why they would have such a crazy policy. Force customers to abandon food they had paid for and to top it, try to save money by refusing one take out box? Crazy is as crazy does.

Amul G.

Yelp
The owner flat out refuses to improve. I asked for Rasam instead of Sambar and they refused to do it. The owner is extremely haughty and her response was we have "designed the menu in such a way" and it confuses the kitchen stafff if they make changes. They have 5 different menus and the excuse was swapping sambar with Rasam on a particular item is confusing! Poor, slow service. The food items were good but the attitude and service is shitty at best.

Yelp
I'm giving this place a 3 star because it's delicious, but service needs to improve. Let's start with the bad. The waitress. We arrived at opening and were told they won't take orders for the first 10 minutes. Ok, fine. We waited. The waitress came twice, and was rude each time. Then, at the end, she added a mandatory 18% tip for herself. We were a party of 5 people. She said this is their policy- but I'm not buying it. The food though- really top notch for Indian, especially in the area.

Jay S.

Yelp
The Owner Lady is very very RUDE. When we order on phone, she said it will be ready in 20/25 min. I arrived after 20 min, she first run my credit card and when I asked if order is ready.. she rudely said, it won't be ready for 30 more min, why you came so early.. Her rudeness is well known with other clients !! Even clients sitting next to counter are shocked the way she talked to me ! She never smile nor be respectful !!

Niladri S.

Yelp
Food was pretty good. Masala Dosa was very tasty. The Suda Dosa was also good. The appetizer of Onion Pakora was tasted good, but the quantity served was just too big. The service was very poor. At 2:00 pm on this Sunday August 31 in the long weekend there seemed to be too few waiters. It took over twenty minutes to take orders. Then after 20 more minutes the masala dosa came with the appetizer. The sada dosa came another 15 minutes later after repeated reminders. The ambiance was terrible. The air conditioner seemed to be not working at all, though the waiters said it was. The front door was being left open at today's 100 degrees environment for what reason no one knows. We had to leave after packing our food and couldn't complete the lunch satisfactorily.

Yelp
They don't have chai, and the servidor was not really interested in being a server that day. We had to constantly get the guys attention to get water to get straws. Maybe it was their first day. Who knows.

Seriously! Please do learn Customers are always right. Do not argue. if we do not like the food, either return the money back or agree to exchange with something else. Do not make us argue for hours when we say the Shrimp is over cooked. your response was 'it is cooked right'. this is not how things work in USA. The owner and the rest of the team there really do not know how to treat customers.

Yelp
Once again, ordered take out and was given a 20 min pick up time. Arrived 45 mins after placing the order and my food isn't ready and to top it off you get attitude from the staff. You guys need to get better.

Yelp
The podi dosas were insane. The podi is a taste I'm still chasing. I've had some good gunpowder dosas before and since that came close, but this remains the best I've had. Made me want to steal one of their giant bags of spices and submerge my head in it.

Yelp
HUGE portions so definitely get literally anything to share. A bit expensive but given the size, it's worth the price. Service is prompt as well and they do allow for unlimited chutneys and sambhar which was good cuz they start you off with a small portion of a variety of things. Ambiance is loud Indian restaurant lol. What did you expect?!

Yelp
5 Frikking stars for the food!!!! I do not care what other patrons say about this place. We always utilize their takeout option. We order ~11:30 AM, give staff enough time to prepare our delicious food, and pickup at 12:45 PM-1:00 PM. We never have to wait for our food to be ready. Follow this, and you will be happy campers! -THE BEST Gongura Goat Curry that we have had at any restaurant! The taste is so unique! They do not skimp on their spices and heat. This dish is not for the faint hearted! -Portions on their dishes are very generous! They do not skimp on the amount of meat in their dishes either. Quantities at Podi Dosa are easily 50% to 100% more than other restaurants in Artesia. So, do not be alarmed by the higher price point. It is well worth it! -All entree's come with rice. We usually ask for extra Onions and Lemon on the side. We use it all too! *Laughs* Show some patience, get takeout and enjoy their mouth watering spicy dishes!

Yelp
Ambiance: I know everyone says the service is bad but I think it has improved! When I went in there was no long wait times, etc etc. It wasn't too crowded so maybe that's why but once you are seated you will get served fast. Taste test: The dosas are their speciality so it's a must to get. The portions are huge! And they give you a lot of sauces to go with your meal. The flavors are very tasty. The Chana was just okay. Maybe a little salt lacking but it was still an overall delicious meal!

Yelp
I've visited this restaurant more times than I can count and have never been disappointed with their food. Located in a plaza, there are parking spots available, though during weekends or busy hours, it fills up quickly. The restaurant is on the smaller side, with a decent seating capacity, but it fills up fast on weekends, leading to longer wait times. The service staff is friendly, but during peak times, the service can feel slow or inattentive. As the name suggests, this place is great for trying dosa. The dosas are thick, the portions are huge (easily enough for one person), and the prices are affordable. The taste is exemplary. They're known for their large portions, and while their biryani is good, we usually stick with their dosas. Be careful not to underestimate the portion size--I've seen people order multiple dishes only to realize it's more than enough to share. Their mutton keema curry dosa is a standout, with the keema packed full of flavor. If you're in the area or looking for a spot with good, filling food, this place is worth a visit--just be prepared for potential wait times and slower service during busy periods.

Yelp
If there is zero star, this would be that. Absolute terrible place- from food quality, taste and service. Orders would come out randomly. For Few people in the group, order came out 5 mins before everyone was done. And PRICE IS INSANE. $10 FOR MANGO LASSI. Avoid avoid avoid

Yelp
I've been a loyal customer since 2023- this used to be my favorite spot for South Indian food in SoCal. Have visited a few times more recently and sad to say I don't enjoy going here anymore. The food here has become insanely overpriced. Mango lassi for $10?? That's unheard of, even coffee at a nice coffee shop isn't that much. Every time we visit there's a new price hike and the quality of the food isn't consistent with how much they charge. Not to mention the mandatory service charge. Very disappointed with my recent visit where the individual bill for every person counting service and tip (each person ordered one item off the menu) was OVER $35 dollars. I'm not usually one to write negative reviews but this experience left a bad taste in my mouth. Wouldn't recommend anymore. Also on a side note to the owners- please change the water you serve. It has a foul odor, which is really unfortunate because the food is super spicy and you can't even drink the water after.

Yelp
I'm not too sure why this place has such low reviews because this place has amazing Dosa. I'm a huge fan of their stuffed Dosa and they do not skimp on chutney, filling, or anything and their Dosa remains crispy. Their prices are slightly higher though and for some reason they charged our party a sharing fee, which I've never seen before. Delicious though!

Yelp
If you're looking for a restaurant that captures the breadth and depth of Indian cuisine, this place delivers and then some. Dosas? Check. Dindigul biryani (plus dozen more variety)? You bet. Chole bhatura, palak paneer, goat keema, and even desi Chinese? Oh, they've got it. It's like a culinary tour of India without needing to leave the Pioneer Blvd strip. You will cover Punjabi, Desi Chinese, Kerala, Chettinad and Hyderabadi cuisine at a minimum. Now, I don't come here expecting Michelin-star service. I come for the food, comfy seating, and staff who are more than happy to keep you fed and happy--sometimes before you even know you need something. This place is a hidden gem, though it's no secret to the loyal crowd forming small lines outside. I've been here over a dozen times, and those lines are proof that I'm not the only one who thinks this spot is worth the calories (and the carbs). And let's address those misguided folks leaving low ratings. Were we even eating at the same restaurant? Maybe they mistook this spot for a fine dining experience instead of the feast-first, ask-questions-later institution it is. Pro tip: Don't come alone. The portions are huge--seriously, it's like they want to feed you and your neighbors. Bring friends or family so you can share and conquer the smorgasbord of cross-continental flavors. You'll leave full, happy, and probably debating who gets the leftovers.

Yelp
This place is horrible. AVOID to go here. Food is okay. Service is horrible horrible horrible. Nobody is interested in welcoming you. There were only 2 poor employees serving the whole restaurant. We saw that they were just running around. After we sat down at the table, we got menu after 15 minutes. Then next 20 minutes nobody came to take our order. We were about to leave and a guy saw us. Then he came to take our order. Our food came after 25 minutes. Oh man.. we were about to fall a sleep there waiting for our food. So it took almost 55-60 minutes to just get our food on the table. Then the funny part. 1 dish was missing. We thought it will come later.. but nope.. employee was saying oh I forgot to add this dish, It will take 20-25 minutes more.. This place is a whole mess. Food is okay.. It looks overpriced. Restroom is right next to the kitchen. I will never ever go here again.

Yelp
After a couple of our friends suggested, we wanted to try South Indian, vegetarian food at this restaurant. We had visited on a weekend evening for dinner and the place was extremely crowded. Had to wait nearly 45 minutes to be seated. Then we placed our order....Masala Dosa, Paper Masala Dosa and Set Dosa. Service was quick & helpful staff. Portion sizes were large and we packed home the leftovers. Quality of food was good. The dosas were freshly made & crunchy. Plenty of vegan options are available. Neat and clean ambiance and nothing fancy. Car Parking is available easily in front of the restaurant.

Yelp
If I could leave this place 0 stars I would. The lady in the sari is so rude and just sits there the whole time. I wanted to cancel one out of 4 items and she literally wouldn't even let me do it. Every-time I come she's just sitting there the whole time while the staff is working so hard. The quality of the food has gotten so bad compared the to prices. Do not recommend and not to mention it's lowkey dirty as hell in there

Yelp
Crowded for sure, so reservation is best if you want to come here! It took us whooping 15 minutes to get our table as we're party of 5 (2 adults, 2 toddlers and 1 baby) which it's a bit tricky for them to look for the best table for us! But I must say! 5stars for the girl that assist us for the table, she also reminded her other colleague that she wants us to sit at the diner type tables since it's more safety for our baby, so of course we agree to that! Thank you for taking such a good measure to ensure our safety! The food in the other hand! It's huge! It's like...like Buca di Pepo of Indian food! Oh lord! We ordered: - Masala Dosa, 5 stars My husband only shares the edge of the dosa and he said it's so good, he felt worthy to wait for quite a time. And Dosa is huge but the freshness and also the sides were all good, I trust him...his Vegetarian tongue is honest! - goat gongura biryani, 5 stars Actually this biryani is 5 stars as their meat is so tender, juicy and generous BUT! Oh hey yeaaaaah...the girl that serves us already told me, it's spicy..like VERY and I said...I'm ok with it. I said yes it's fine! She reminds me it's spicy and kinda sour. Which I said yeah, it's fine! And it's like out of my knowledge of Indian food, I said yes! My husband is zero knowledge as well, though he's Indian. Ok..the biryani came and BOOM! It's so good, the meat was so tender and juicy! And I almost popped my eyes out! It's spicy...like mie abang adek highest level! Who's Indonesian here?? lol... that spicy dude!!!! I decided to have it for to go and heat it up at night...of course...I'm weak.. I added my own biryani (sorry chef) and it's so good for my weak spicy level! But it's still is good, still is one of the best! - spring roll, 4,5 stars It retain the heat well and it almost burn my tongue! It's so good and amount wise it's more than enough! Still kahve it for to go and bet it's a fresh ingredient coz it stays good! It's not salty! It's tasty! - sambar Vada, 5 stars We love it! It's good in amount and the big donut shape! The sambar is veg but I love the tangy of it! - Mango Lassi, 5 stars The kids loves it but not me... it's too sour dear! But my kids love sour drinks...dunno why...my marriage is sweeter than this! Ahhheeeyyyy!!!! Love that part! Overall it's a good and busy type of place so, reservation is best for the hangry type of people and listen to the staffs when they say it's spicy and! You're not indian like me, dont act smart lol LISTEN...don't be like me! Lol I'll be back though, for the biryani AGAIN

Yelp
DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU WANT DECENT SERVICE. OWNER IS HORRIBLE AT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LIES. EMPLOYEES DON'T EVEN AGREE. We arrived at the restaurant around 1 pm. And placed our orders at 1:15. We asked for one item to go at 1:15. And after about 30 min we got all of our food items that were for in restaurant. When it came to our to go item it never arrived. Sometime before 2 pm we let one of the servers know our item never came. She said she'll check on it. She came back at 2 and said it's almost done. Just 10 min. We packed our to go food and paid. We asked a server for an extra to go box because we still had more sauce. She said she can't give us the to go container bc we have enough. She said she is not allowed to provide more because she will get in trouble. So we had to leave some food behind. At 2:30 we asked another server what happened to our to go item. She said it'll be out right now they're just packing it. At 2:35 we approached the front desk and asked what's going on with our food. The girl said it's being prepared 10 more minutes. We told her it wasn't okay bc we have been waiting over an hour and half for our item. We asked to speak to the manager(who I'm assuming is the owner). The owner was in a pink saree. And she fed us so many lies about how they group the to go orders together so they pushed our order to the end of the to go list. Even though we ordered 1 hr and 40 min prior. We were pushed to the end of the to go list. Then she said she couldn't refund us even though we let her know we are running late and we need to leave. She didn't apologize even once for the delay. Claimed we should've understood how to go works. She also told us the chicken has been ready and we are waiting on the remaining portion of the dish. So supposedly the chicken had been cooked for 40 min. But the noodle portion was left. So she can't give us a refund. We didn't even want the item anymore we just wanted to leave. The main issue with this restaurant is 1) when they make a mistake they lied and tried to make us wait. Be honest and APOLOGIZE that you forgot the order and it'll be an additional 40 min wait. Do not tell us 5 min, 10 min, and it's being boxed when it's not. Take responsibility. You're wasting someone's time. Issue #2) you can't give your customer enough to go boxes for their food? And the servers feel so awkward and bad that they explain that the owner is just stingy. I feel bad for the employees that work here. The food was good but I'll never be coming back for how terrible the service was because of the way it is set up. I didn't understand why they had bad reviews until I tried it for myself. Makes sense now.

Yelp
I used to love going here because of the good food but I went here yesterday with my family and it was not a good experience. First of all, the tables are so close together that it is so congested for both the customers and employees. As a result of the tables being in such close proximity to one another, one of the employees spilled very hot sambar on my arm and my arm got burned. The employee brought me ice immediately, which was good. We told another employee about it and instead of treating this with urgency, she brought me Neosporin like 30 minutes later. We expected that the manager or supervisor would offer us at least one food item for free because of the inconvenience and pain caused, but none of that happened and my arm was burning and stinging the entire time. On top of that, the service is bad. We had to repeatedly ask for someone to come take our order, bring boxes, the bill, etc. The dosa and sambar itself was good, but the hakka noodles were lacking flavor. This is the reason I am okay with the 1 star but I would give this place a 0/5 if I could and I am never going here again.
