Had an outstanding meal and cocktails at Podmore. The cocktails were all delicious, well balanced, and creative. The special presentation cocktails are super fun! The food was so good. Amazing combo of Hawaiian inspired and British comfort food. I 100% recommend this place for dinner and drinks, or even for just cocktails at the bar. Additionally, the atmosphere and service was luxurious and friendly. The staff was making us laugh and giving us insight on the menu.

I absolutely love Podmore. The atmosphere is very cozy with a touch of elegance. The craft cocktails are the best on island. Hats off to their staff and management for creating such a beautiful cocktail menu and the most delicious food menu. I wish I could gate keep this place but I want to see their business thrive!! That’s how much I love it. Bringing a taste of England/New York to the island makes this east coast girl very happy! All my biggest celebrations have been with Podmore and I hope this review brings you to their doorstep!

Restaurant has a great ambiance. Very cozy. Very serene, not too formal and not casual. The vibe is nice. We ordered their fish and chips and cottage pie. And they were great. Very tasty and they have a large servings. We also had cocktails (which I forgot the names). Overall, it was a nice experience. Please do note to book a reservation. It was worth it.

Waited 40 minutes for food. Wait staff didn't check on us, didn't ask how our meal was but asked the other table. Carbonara and chicken and waffles came out cold and the restaurant wasn't even busy. We ate it all because we don't waste food. Heard great things about this restaurant but not worth 2 hours of my time and a cold brunch. Worst experience. I had to stand and give waitress the check and no one said goodbye when we left. Worst

Had a great time at this spot! The food was amazing—lots of creative dishes that were full of flavor. We ended up trying quite a few things off the menu, and everything was on point. The drinks were just as impressive—unique concoctions that really stood out. Definitely a cool vibe overall, perfect for a casual night out or a fun group hang. Highly recommend!

The Podmore is a place where culinary creativity meets exceptional execution. From the delightful appetizers to the show-stopping main course and the innovative drinks, every aspect of our dining experience was top-notch. We started with the Mango and Avocado Ceviche, a burst of tropical sunshine on a plate. The combination of sweet mango, creamy avocado, and bright, zesty seafood was simply divine. It was incredibly fresh and light and a testament to the quality of their ingredients. Next, the Spinach and Mushroom Toast arrived. The bread was perfectly toasted, providing a satisfying crunch, and it was generously piled with a rich, earthy mixture of mushrooms, spinach, bacon and cheese. The flavors were deep and comforting, a perfect middle to the meal. The star of the show, however, was the Lamb Vindaloo Curry. This dish was an explosion of flavor, a beautiful balance of heat and spice. The lamb was incredibly tender, practically melting in your mouth, and the vindaloo sauce and mango chutney were complex and aromatic, with layers of flavor that unfolded with each bite. It was a bold and exciting dish, executed with finesse. Beyond the incredible food, The Podmore's drink menu is unique, creative, and refreshing. They offer a selection of cocktails that are as visually stunning as they are delicious. Each drink felt thoughtfully crafted, using interesting flavor combinations and fresh ingredients. It's the kind of drink menu that makes you want to linger and try them all. Our table favorites were Let’s Go To The Movies, 4 Tha Hotties, and Deja Brew. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers a unique and delicious adventure for your taste buds, look no further than The Podmore. We're already planning our next visit!

Very knowledgeable and attentive waitress. My drink was tasty and strong. Food was all very good, entrees are definitely on the heavy side. Tried the crumble with vanilla ice cream for dessert and was very good.

Google
Amazing cocktails and food. After having several watered down drinks in all the tourist hot spots, this place was a welcomed change. Alex is an amazing bartender that has created unique and creative drinks. There is not a bad drink on the menu, they're all amazing. I've never had any drinks similar to the flavor profile Alex was able to produce. Definitely one of my favorite cocktail experiences ever! Well worth the price and trip to downtown. I'll be coming back whenever in Hawaii!

Yelp
I had so much fun here! I loved this restaurant a lot! We wanted drinks so decided to sit at the bar, the interior is super cute and the chairs are comfortable. We tried several drinks on the menu and loved the dartmoor drink, it had an ice cube which was layered with flavors that changed the profile. We also had the Rubik's cube with multiple flavors, it was super fun but too sweet for my specific palette. I really liked the culture club as well. For food, we had the smoked soufflé pancake and the carbonara. The pancake... this is like... what dreams are made of for me. The carbonara was also totally amazing. I loved this place and would love to come back!

Yelp
What a gem of a place! Came here for our Valentine's Day Lunch. Ambiance: Feels like you stepped back in time, velvet covered seating, cozy nooks, art deco fixtures and decor. Service: Friendly, welcoming, attentive, helpful, expeditious. Food/Drinks: Everything we tried was delicious, fresh, homemade and different in a good way! We tried the Devils on Horseback, Bao Buns, Tagliatelle Carbonara (fresh pasta) and the Fish & Chips. For dessert we had the Ice Cream Sandwich, for today it was chocolate chip cookies and we chose vanilla ice cream sandwiched in between. Drink menu had many fun and creative choices, nice selection of spirits. Cleanliness: This is the cleanest restaurant I think I have ever been in! Tables are wiped with disposable disinfectant wipes then thrown away. Not the same rag that was used to wipe other tables and who knows what else and is never rinsed. There was no dust to the visible eye, fixtures, furniture, baseboards immaculately clean, no crumbs hiding under the booths, no dust collecting on the AC vents or high light fixtures. Bathrooms tidy and clean. Parking: Street metered parking or with a short walk you can park in a public parking garage or lot. Overall, a wonderful experience! Will definitely be going back to try other menu items!

Yelp
I've been thinking "I'd like to try here" long time and finally, I made it for weekend brunch with my husband. Parking is hard to find in downtown. If you're lucky you can get street parking but this time, because of construction signs were there so we parked at the meter parking near the post office where is only one block far from this restaurant. The restaurant is cozy but beautiful interior with based on green and gold color. When we got inside and checked in at the front the staff was very friendly and nice. I ordered Morning Harvest Hash that is so beautiful presentation. It looks very colorful and full of flavor. My husband chose "Christmas Breakfast" and Podmore bacon on side. "Christmas Breakfast" looks so unique and very tasty. We had a bite each dish and both were so good! We were very satisfied our brunch meal. Now, this place became one of my favorite place and highly recommend restaurant ! Well, this time we both ordered coffee but I'd like to try their brunch cocktail next time!

Yelp
Came here for brunch. No reservations but they were able to fit us in. I found all the staff to be very friendly and helpful. I had the carbonara, which was decent. I think what I enjoyed the most, though, was the atmosphere. Velvet booths, mirrors, a cool tiled bar, and good background music too. I'm definitely interested in coming back to try the dinner menu.

Yelp
Food: We went for brunch and ordered the English breakfast and carbonara pasta. The English breakfast came with a decent amount of food. The best things were the homemade sausage and the black pudding which reminded me of corned beef hash. I didn't care too much for the fried bread. It had a weird oily taste to it. We also got the carbonara which was solid with nice fresh pasta. Service: We were seated immediately and the server was very attentive. Ambiance: The decor inside looks amazing and so fancy. Perfect place to get dressed up and have a cocktail. Price: this is an upscale place so higher prices is expected. The carbonara is worth the price, but I don't think the English breakfast was worth it to me. Next time I'd like to come back at night to try their specialty drinks.

Yelp
Brunch review: First time at this place for brunch. Restaurant is cute and decorative with friendly staff. Staff came frequently and open to thoughts and suggestions. Food: Tagliatelle Carbonara was tasty! You notice the fresh homemade pasta cooked al dente (imo) with bacon. Other members got the full English breakfast, friend chicken/waffles and Christmas breakfast. Parking: come a little early to find open street parking or a close garage Price: for brunch a little pricey but worth it for the atmosphere Will be back to try dinner and the cute & appealing drinks

Yelp
I came here for a client meeting, and it was my first time visiting. My colleague didn't reserve a table in time, so we sat at the bar, which turned out to be a great experience. The bartender was hilarious and gave us amazing recommendations. I ordered the chopped salad with smoked salmon, and it was absolutely delicious! The drinks were fantastic, and it was clear the bartender was a pro who really knew his craft. The atmosphere was lovely--perfect for lunch without being too loud. The staff were attentive, constantly refilling our water and ensuring we were taken care of. I'll definitely be coming back!

Yelp
One of my favorite places to eat in downtown, especially since I live just a block or so away. I've been here a bunch of times for brunch, lunch, and dinner and have really enjoyed them all. My favorite of these has always been their brunch but they changed their times so for awhile was only lunch and dinner. I'm happy to see that they're bringing back brunch on the weekends starting November 16th. Times are from 10am on Saturday and 9am on Sunday. Awesome! Their menu changes often but my favorite brunch item was the Christmas Breakfast...it's a potato rosti on the bottom, topped with spinach, smoked salmon poached egg, and a brown butter hollandaise. Insanely delicious. So many other dishes I've had that are great, too. The Devils on Horseback, Fish and Chips, Hamachi Roll, just to name a few. And the cocktails, very unique mixes of flavors. Have tried a handful of them but the one that's really memorable was the "No Crackers, Gromit". It's a cheeseboard inspired cocktail with flavors of blue cheese, figs and nuts. Sounds bizarre but kind of left me speechless at trying to describe it. Definitely recommend that for the adventurists. Looking forward to coming back here for brunch again and hopefully they have the Christmas Breakfast back on the menu

Yelp
Podmore is a cute and trendy place for brunch or dinner. I went for brunch with a bunch of girlfriends. The atmosphere is what really makes this place so cool. Our food and cocktails were good. I don't remember what my drink was called but I love a clever cocktail and they do a great job with that. My friends got the rock cakes, which are scones. They said they were very good. Service brought the rating down a star. I asked about gluten free options. The server disappeared and didn't come back. Eventually when she did, I asked again and her response was pretty dismissive. She was very inattentive the entire time. I don't need her to be there constantly, but the restaurant was not busy and our waters were empty for a long time.

Yelp
If I could give this place 10 stars I would! This was an incredible cocktail and dining experience in Honolulu! We just happened to stop in while trying to find an office. We did not have reservations and we were seated at the bar. What an incredible experience Alex the bartender offered! The menu had some of the most unique concoctions. The flavor profile was spot on from the descriptions! I felt these drinks were Michelin worthy! The ambiance is a bit upscale but still casual. Their dining area is not very large. It is comfortable and inviting. The green seats and purple bar chairs go well together.

Yelp
Went back for a weekday lunch and they changed the menu. The original brunch menu is now only on weekends. Got the Shepard's pie and it was amazing. Team there is great and always love the vibe

Yelp
What an experience! Our group just walked up to this treasure. We had appetizers and drinks. The bartender was great! Watching him alone was entertaining. Restrooms were very clean. Everything came out tasting as good as the drinks. Top notch

Yelp
This spot exceeded my expectations! We got the shepherds pie, fries, and carbonara. Everything was absolutely delicious and my personal favorite was the carbonara. We ended the meal with a fruit cobbler with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and that was very tasty. The ambience of the restaurant is great and you could easily come here for a fancy date night or business meal. Parking can be hard to find, but we got lucky and found a spot right in front of the restaurant. The service was attentive and we had an overall great experience here. I would definitely return on my next visit. I recommend making a reservation as the spots fill up quickly.

Yelp
It's nice to have a restaurant, cocktail bar/lounge in the lower, diamond head (makai/east) end of downtown Honolulu. Most of the restaurants, bars, lounges and pubs are bunched in the upper side of downtown or Chinatown. Podmore pretty much stands on its own on the opposite end of downtown. It's a nice, chillaxing (chill and relaxing) place with a nice ambiance and feel. The décor is trendy, a modern hip vibe. They have bar seating as well as table seating to accommodate larger parties. They are now open for lunch and weekend brunches. It is a great place for lunch, after-work drinks and dinner. They have a very impressive selection of specialty, house and seasonal cocktails. Their menu is constantly evolving and rotates every so often so there is always something new and indulging. This holds true to both the cocktails and food menu. Presentation is top notch. All dishes and drinks are made with care and are photogenic. Great service and wonderful people! Alan, the head bartender and Rebecca are very friendly and bubbly, an overall comfortable experience if you happen to meet them. Podmore is located on the corner of Alakea and Merchant Streets in the Joseph Podmore Building (across City Financial Tower and First Hawaiian Center). There is no parking garage for this building, however, there are on-street metered parking on Merchant Street in front and Richards Street. There is also parking further away at the post office or on King Street fronting the Iolani Palace grounds (also metered). If you choose to park in the one the nearby building parking garages, it may be a bit more expensive, so you may wanna check out parking rates beforehand. If you work in downtown Honolulu, even better, it is just a walk away from any office for lunch or pau hana. Restrooms are located in the center, back towards the kitchen. Reservations are recommended (even for seating at the bar), and especially if you are in a larger party or happen to plan to go "peak" time for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Podmore is Located on Merchant street, this place is so cute and a gem! I met my friends here for a weekend dinner, highly recommend reservations which we had since this place is pretty packed. Parking is street or any downtown parking garage nearby. We had a cute area for the 5 of us and it was so comfy. My friend and I arrived 30 minutes before our reservation and they let us sit down and order drinks while waiting for the rest of our group which was nice. I heard they just redid their menu about a month ago to cater more to local tastes as well as lower prices. I really enjoyed the food here. We ordered some triple cooked chips (french fries) for our appetizer w home made ketchup, so good. For myself i ordered the beer battered fish and chips (The mahi-mahi was really fresh and delicious), the batter was nice and crispy and not too thick, I highly recommend this fish and chips dish. It came w a home made tartar sauce that was different but so good. My friends also enjoyed the Confit Duck leg, Curry, Carbonara pasta, Shepards pie (lamb) and the steak and mushroom pot pie. They have special holiday alcoholic drinks which i enjoyed. I got a Staying Up for Santa peppermint mocha martini, a festive holiday nightcap el dorado 8-year rum, licor 43 chocolate, rumple minze, cold brew. It was good, not too sweet but yummy. The service was really friendly, they did add mandatory tip for our larger group as well as a kitchen fee but we all didn't mind. the atmosphere, service, food was all so wonderful, i would come back again for sure! Two hour limit for the reservation which is more than enough time and understandable since this place is so popular (we actually had 2.5 hours since they sat 2 of us 30 min early). Cant wait to try more food here.

Yelp
Cute restaurant with nice decor inside! It's a little unassuming on the outside, but once you step in, the velvety booth seats and light fixtures at the bar made this place classy and refined. Service was excellent. Our server was very nice and seated us at a corner table by the window. Oh yeah make sure you make a reservation. Their Christmas breakfast is definitely worth a try. It's so savory and flavorful with a creamy sauce and lots of veggies on a crispy bun. The coddled egg was good but I realize I still prefer some runniness in my eggs. Also, looking at the other table's caviar addition, I don't think the portion is worth $30 so I'm glad I didn't order that. Husband got the English breakfast. The best thing there is the sweet bread coz I like blood sausages and they did it well. Parking on Sundays can be easy. A lot of lots don't charge until afternoon. Street parking should be free too. I'd recommend this place if you want an elevated breakfast experience different from the typical type of breakfast food.

Yelp
My friend and I made reservations for a late Brunch at 1:30p on Saturday, 12/7/24 at Podmore. We were greeted and promptly seated at a cozy table at the rear of the restaurant overlooking the bay windows where we could see the street. The ambiance was warm with the sparkling Christmas lights aglow throughout the restaurant. The waitstaff looked smart in their uniforms as they served us. Our waitress was very friendly and explained the menu and her favorites as well. We ordered our drinks first. I ordered the Sherpa Chai Iced Latte composed of Nepali black tea, Peruvian ginger, spices, sugar with my choice of Oat milk. I enjoyed the flavors with the cinnamon spices and cardamom bursting through. It wasn't too sweet which was perfect. My friend ordered it also, later in the meal. My friend also ordered a refreshing cocktail called St. George and the Dragon. It was composed of St. George Vodka, Dragonfruit syrup, Kalani coconut, Cappelletti aperitivo, and lime. It was a lovely pink hue. This drink is similar to a Cosmopolitan. Then it was time to order our meals. Unfortunately, the kitchen didn't have my first choice on hand that I wanted to order. I wanted to experience the Full English Breakfast. The Full English breakfast came with fried eggs, bacon, black pudding, Podmore sausage, potatoes, tomato, mushroom, baked beans, and fried bread. I've been to London, and wanted to taste it again. Fortunately, they had my second choice that I ordered which was the Tagliatelle Carbonara a house-made pasta, egg, parmesan, with Podmore bacon. I was satisfied with the rich and creaminess of the sauce and the firm and chewy texture of the house-made pasta. The bacon was unctuous and tasty, as well. In the middle of my meal, my mind was still on the English Breakfast. My friend mentioned that I could get a side order of the Black Pudding, since she heard a neighboring table order it. Thus, I was happy to order a side order of Black pudding to sample, and eat along with my Tagliatelle Carbonara. The flavors were satisfying, and I was pleased that I got a part of the English Breakfast. My friend ordered the "Christmas Breakfast" made up of Potato rösti, spinach, house-smoked salmon, double yolk coddled egg, brown butter and hollandaise. She enjoyed how the egg yolk decadently flowed out of the egg as she cut it. She enjoyed the salmon but said her Potato rösti was a bit salty. Overall, she enjoyed the dish, she said. My friend also ordered the Rock Cakes (4 pieces) of miniature scones. It was tasty. Since we ordered it with our meal and it came at the end of our meal, our friendly waitress let us have it as a complimentary dish. My friend also wanted to try the Sticky Toffee Pudding for dessert since she read good reviews on it. Unfortunately, they no longer make that, and it is no longer on the menu. Comprehensively, we had a wonderful experience eating here at Podmore. This restaurant was busy and everyone was enjoying themselves. The ambiance made you feel that you were actually in London or New York as the restaurant owner emphasized in his Instagram interview. The food and service were sublime. Thank you also to the wonderful waitress who took a photo of us by the Christmas tree. Parking: We parked at the Post Office which is near Podmore, and had to feed the meter 2x since the maximum time is 1hr. at the parking at the Post Office. We didn't want to rush ourselves and enjoyed our leisurely Brunch at Podmore.

Yelp
Came for happy hour before our play. LOVE this spot!Definite must!! First time here. PARKING could be challenging. There is street, meter, or near by paid public lots. I took an Uber. Check their social media platforms for parking ideas. Located on the corner of Merchant St & Alakea St. I walked in to this gorgeous space and was seated at a corner window. This area looked like it could seat 8-10 comfortably and had a few cocktail tables. The restaurant is intimate but you could definitely coordinate an intimate wedding, milestone birthday, or any occasion like dinner for 2 please. Reservations are recommended. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The libations are pricey but they are hand crafted and include wonderful service and a lovely ambiance. The small plates are perfect for sharing. Everything we order from the Twice cooked Fries with Homemade Ketchup to the Grilled Bread and Roasted Kabocha topped with Pomegranate Seeds was absolutely delightful!! This fabulous spot offers Lunch, Dinner, and weekend Brunch. I'm looking forward to trying the popular Brunch soon.

Yelp
Cocktails and mocktails were were delicate and well made. Pretty pricey, but I think it was worth. I got the pot pie and wasn't disappointed. Maybe it took a while but I didn't mind too much.

Yelp
Was there about a week ago and to be honest I was really impressed at the size. I like the small intimate feel. What was disappointing was not getting my drink during my time there. I order a drink well before ordering a meal. I was with 2 others who ordered their drinks at the same time. Their drinks came and the drink runner(not our server) said my drink would be right out. Food comes still no drink, desert comes still no drink, check comes drink is on the check but never received it. Brought it up to our server and instead if saying oh I'm sorry I'll have it made she takes the check and takes the drink off. My 2 companions are still drinking their drinks and I'm drinking water. Super disappointed that I didn't get to try a cocktail even more disappointed it was never offered. On the plus side food was amazing and so was the chocolate coffee ice cream sandwich.

Yelp
We had the best experience and most delicious food and drinks! My boyfriend had the lamb curry and I had the cottage pie--both were incredible!! Cocktails were amazing and we especially loved "Keep Calm and Curry on." The service was top notch. We had such a lovely time, thank you Podmore!

Yelp
Pretty bummed as we had high hopes for this place. However, it's more of an establishment for "snooty white folk." First, they add an automatic "kitchen staff gratuity" to the bill. This immediately tells me the owners don't pay staff enough & leaves a bad taste in my mouth at the end of a meal. Food portions were very small & overpriced. I had a kale & truffle lasagna--not a spec of kale in it--just some cheesy noodles mixed w/ truffle oil. A great dish for young kiddos, if you bring them. On the PLUS side, the servers were VERY nice & the ambiance is lovely. However, that does not merit enough worth for returning. :(

Yelp
Came here to catch up with the bestie over a fancy brunch. Service was impeccable. Street parking easily found nearby on a weekend. Mid century modern decor. Food is beautifully plated. Christmas breakfast: smoked salmon Benedict, but replace the English muffin with a hash brown. Interesting take. Thick Hollandaise. Not as rich as you would think. Perfectly poached egg. Fried chicken & biscuit: what my friend got. It was my favorite bite of the meal. French toast: shared for dessert. Small portion. Nice sweet finish. It wasn't too busy. Reservations highly recommended. Quiet ambiance to enjoy a good conversation with your guests.

Yelp
Beautiful interior but not the best food. My friend and I made a reservation for brunch but we were a little past 15 min late for it because we couldn't find parking and we had tried calling to let them know but no one answered. We ended up parking at the Alii Place building which was such a good deal - $0.75 for each half hour for the first 2 hrs. Other parking structures were like $4 per 30 min so yeah, no brainer! When we got there the front desk girl acted annoyed but ended up seating us anyways because another group that just arrived said they did not have as many in their reservation as originally planned. We tried the rock cakes which tasted purely like dessert, so I would have liked them last. I guess they have different flavors all the time and the flavor we had was white chocolate with chocolate chips or something. We shared the full English breakfast plate which took soooooo long to come out omg. It ended up being good but lots of weird meat things I didn't like, and in the end I felt I could have just made something better at home. The smoked soufflé pancakes also took ages to come out and we were so impressed by the presentation but sorely disappointed by the taste. It was very salty and had a strange texture. TLDR: Perhaps just a nice spot to grab drinks at the bar? Very cute spot, just didn't like the food or time it took to come out.

Yelp
The hostess and the bartender were amazing. We got really great reccomendations for what to try. We got the steak and mushroom pot pie, the scallops(so good) and a couple of drinks. Chilly Chung Chow. Wanted to eat all the ice right out of the glass. St George and the dragon. *get a specialty drink. They're very beautiful! And also if you don't drink alcohol all of them can be made non alcoholic. There also have a few zero proofs as well.

Yelp
Fabulous, stylish bar for a drink, fine-dining nosh, and even proper entrees. I had the Swiftie which was a delicious cocktail. We ate: Scotch Quail Eggs 24 duck sausage, smoked onion, hay ash Croquettes 10 broccoli, cheddar, russet potato "Proper Chips" (thick cut and soft on the inside) 12 russet potato, housemade ketchup, truffle aioli Tikka Masala Papadams 6 lentil crackers, eggplant, cauliflower, lime pickle, mango purée Roasted Pork Bun 8 "stuffing" bun, crackling, apple sauce, pickled red onion I'd recommend everything.

Yelp
New to Podmore. Have had lunch and the recently reprised brunch. Both experiences were fantastic. Service professional but not stuffy. Room tidy and chic. Food next level comfort food. What's not to love?

Yelp
Returned here for a second time to celebrate my bday with my girlfriends. The food was again excellent in taste, quality, and presentation , but unfortunately the service could have been better. I hesitated to order the **Chilly Chung Chow cocktail since it was $30, but so glad my friend encouraged me to get it ("so I could die happy") because it was phenomenal! A Pimm's based drink served in a glass full of colorful little fruit flavored ice balls in cranberry, pomegranate, pineapple, ginger. The server poured a Spiced pear, spiced ginger, fresh lemon juice concoction into the glass. Mmmm! All the flavors of the fruit and spices blended beautifully with the strong alcohol! One of the best cocktails I've ever had! We started with the rock cakes which was perfect for 4 of us since we could each get one. Get them because they're delicious and you will have something to nibble while you wait. Today we did a lot of waiting which was even more off putting because of the two hour time limit and having to tend to the parking meter. FOOD **Christmas breakfast-loved this crispy little potato rosti with house smoked salmon that paired well with the spinach, egg and hollandaise. Friend called it an elevated hash brown. I'd get this again! *Mediterranean salad- everything is chopped up into colorful confetti atop fried chickpeas and tahini for a tasty and refreshing salad which was a good complement to the other dishes. Comes with 2 pieces of sourdough toast. *Fried Chicken and biscuit - got to taste a bit of my friend's "elevated chicken tenders" which was good but I preferred other dishes. DESSERT Smoked soufflé pancake- comes with a presentation where they lift the cover to release smoke surrounding a pancake beautifully decorated with berries and flower petals. I expected more sweetness but the salty butter pad made it more salty. Instead of a dessert for the bday we got a nonalcoholic beverage (I forgot what it was but it was good!) in flutes decorated with pretty pink petals perfect for our ladies toast! While I still love this place, today's celebration was marred by the service. If it was due to lack of help then I can be more sympathetic. No one came to take our order for about 10-15 min. The drinks and rock cakes came in a timely manner but the entrees took a while and dessert got served a few minutes after the main dishes way ahead of time. Perhaps it was because my friend ordered it with all our other food but they should have asked since it was odd. I like to drink water and wanted a refill several times but no one came around and I didn't see anyone to hail down. At the end of our meal we wanted a photo of the group and the server who was not so gracious took only one whereas last time they took several. We were given a verbal warning along with a look that it was time to go, but we had not even received our bill yet and the restaurant was not even full. Really wanted to share the wonderful experience I had the first time with my girlfriends but have to deduct 1 star for the timing issues today.

Overall: **** Recommended **** Food: **** Value: ** Dinner Menu: Food: ** Drinks: ***** Ambiance: ***** Service: ***** Parking: * (street or municipal lots) Wow! It's hard to believe Podmore, with its classy, sophisticated, romantic vibe, was once a hole-in-the-wall convenience store that I would buy sliced fruits & food from. If you're looking for an elegant place to have a drink, a snack, lunch or dinner, in downtown, Podmore is one of a few places that you can go after work. House Cocktails are $18 ($15 during Happy Hour 4:30-6:00 pm), Speciality Cocktails are $30. Definitely not a place for one who is on a tight budget. But if you want to sit close to someone in a booth and have a cocktail, this is definitely the place. Or, if a salesperson/representative with an expense account wants to take you out, this would be a great place to suggest. I went with my wife at 5:30 pm, had 2 drinks, 2 snacks, & 2 dishes for a total of $137 + tip. I asked her if she would like to come back, and she said "no." Why? too expensive. I felt the same. But if you can afford it, go for it! RATINGS & RECOMMENDED ORDER: Drinks: Tea Thyme = A Let's go to the Movies = A (after I mixed it together) Snacks: Proper Chips = A Scotch Quail Eggs = B Family Style Dishes: Seared Scallops = A tasty sauce perfectly cooked Tagliatelle Carbonara = C dry & no salt Yelp: https://yelp.to/QnMAo7v3J7 Website: https://www.barpodmore.com/ YELP: Sorry! Yelp
As I sat at the bar enjoying a cocktail at Podmore, something felt uncanny. Was it the alcohol? Or perhaps the bartenders, clad in aprons and speaking with British accents? Maybe it was both. But what I was truly feeling was a sense of being transported to another place. It no longer felt like I was in a tropical paradise in Hawaii but rather in a refined lounge or bar enclave somewhere in Europe. Little did I know, this was exactly the atmosphere Podmore aimed to create--a vibe reminiscent of a hotel lobby bar in London or New York City. To that, I say kudos! Podmore has truly achieved this vision. It's a perfect hideaway, an escape into sophistication, complete with plush velvet seats to sink into while savoring an expertly crafted artisanal cocktail.

Yelp
What an amazing experience. By recommendation of my bestie we ended up eating here for brunch, and wow my expectations were blown away. I would never have known there was a location like this until my bestie told me. Outside interior looked like a European-esque inspired vibe if you get what I mean. Upon entrance there are beautiful live plants (I love plants) and beautiful decor with green velvet seats on the booths with a fancy bar near the front. Did I mention their bathrooms are beautiful!? My God, I had way too much fun in the bathroom taking pics LOL The food was to die for. Got the last rock cakes (scones) of the day and they were delicious. The flavor of the day we went was some dark chocolate mixed with something. I got the Christmas Breakfast upon recommendation from the server and it was basically an eggs benedict on top of vegetables, smoked salmon, and a hashbrown or idk a potato thing. It was delicious. My friends' dishes looked amazing as well. For dessert we all opted for the sticky toffee cake. That cake did not last 5 seconds and was demolished. LMFAOOO! I can't wait to come back again. Such an amazing place. The food made me want to cry and my senses were all heightened being able to enjoy amazing food at such a beautiful space

Yelp
Fancy Sunday Brunch! I wish I could actually give 4.5 stars because the entrees took a while to come out. Some may consider this restaurant a bit pricey, but I consider it justifiable considering the gorgeous atmosphere and the fact that most of the components (if not every thing) of each dish is made from scratch. The quality, elegance and execution of each dish is impressive. For brunch, I particularly enjoyed the Full English Breakfast and the Rock Cakes (aka mini scones), and Sticky Toffee Pudding. My grandma absolutely loved the Christmas Breakfast (from a previous visit) and Smoked Soufflé Pancake. Service is friendly and informative. Definitely recommend for a nice splurge once in a while.

Yelp
Parking 1/5: Street parking in downtown is terrible, although our party did get decent street parking and also parked at the post office, we had to keep walking back to the meters every hour to feed it because an hour is the max...and judging by how long the service takes here you will have to make multiple rounds back and fourth to do so. Ambiance 5/5: this is the only reason for the one star. Inside is GORGEOUS. Very small cute aesthetic and intimate place. Clean bathrooms. Food 2/5: Rock bread or whatever is called (scone cookies) are literally rocks. They're dry and brittle. Flavor was blueberry white chocolate which sounded delicious but it was dried blueberries which made the scone even more dry and didn't taste any white chocolate whatsoever. 3 people in my party ordered the Christmas breakfast and our server pushed caviar to add on top and raved about how amazing and life changing this would be, it was not. For an additional $35 to add the caviar on top a $30 meal making it $65 -- the Christmas breakfast alone was also so flavorful and overpowering/rich that you couldn't even taste the caviar at all. It was pointless to add it on top...so I wouldn't recommend it. The soufflé pancakes were good, very Smokey which is the intent of it all. Very nice presentation. I would say this is the best entree our whole table got. I would recommend getting a side of whipped Cream for this. Another friend had the chicken and waffles. Chicken Pieces were very small and lacked flavor. We also had the carbonara, my friend said she would compare it to instant Mac and cheese with fatty bacon pieces. Service 1/5: Our server was so nice and attentive in the beginning which made us feel so welcomed and thought this was going to be a new fav spot! Until the restaurant started getting a bit more busy...the attention started to lack... Drinks...my friends ordered the Deja vu. It's super strong, which is good I suppose. But only one order came out. After we finished our meal, our other friend who ordered the same drink asked our server about it if it was still coming. She said oh let me check on that...went to talk to the bartender...and didn't come back for another 15 minutes or so. No update on if it was still coming or what. Then 20 min or so pass and another server brings it out....we were all well past done with our meals at this point. But it's fine my friend still drank it. On top of all of this. Our server spilled water on one of us, didn't say sorry or apologize and instead said oh at least it wasn't the Deja vu (the coffee drink)...oh yeah? I guess?? We then asked if they had a dessert menu...and she said yes, handed us back the regular menu...and we were confused. Asked where is the desserts? And she pointed to the bottom of the menu where the "sweet" brunch items were like the French toast and pancakes we just had were...so we declined. It was my birthday and my friend had brought cupcakes anyway but only one of us wanted to eat that at that time...as my friend was eating it, maybe 2 bites left, the other server comes by and tells us we can't have outside food here or they'll charge us a fee....... We had a party of 7 so gratuity was expected and included (20% on top of our bill) but what really caught me off guard was the KITCHEN APPRECIATION FEE? An additional tip on top The tip for getting water spilled on us and not even getting an apology and also forgetting a drink with no communication etc. is this place not able to pay their workers a decent pay that they have to charge their customers to do it for them...absolutely ridiculous and we most definitely we never be back and highly do not recommend this place.

Yelp
This is my 2nd time this week. (Try and make reservations because it's small.) Atmosphere- Trendy, but with style. Relaxing. Service- really good. Friendly and helpful. (So many interesting drinks to choose from.) I had the Steak and Mushroom Pie and and an order of fries. The pie was the best I've ever had. (Watch out Seattle Pie Bar!)

Yelp
What a GEM! Absolutely anything you order will be an experience. Every item is thoughtfully prepared, down to the toast. If you don't mind spending the $$$ this is definitely worth it. You are paying for the perfect place of food and the gorgeous ambiance to enjoy it in. Think Gatsby meets the Cosmopolitan Hotel. It's glam. Perfect for a girls brunch or special dinner out. Dressy casual attire. Make sure to make a reservation on Resy. I tried to book a prime time spot for a Saturday about a month out and had a hard time, so plan ahead for busy times and days. FOOD. We had the Full English Breakfast which was fried eggs, bacon, black pudding, podmore sausage, potatoes, tomato, mushroom, baked beans, fried bread. We also got the Confit Duck Sandwich which consisted of a ciabatta bun, pear chutney, arugula, balsamic red onion, roastie potatoes. Both were note worthy. PARKING: It's downtown, not much you can do. We didn't feel like driving up and down so we parked across the post office and walked. The meters take card there but it's hour parking only. One block away so not too bad.

Yelp
Foods & drinks good Service wasn't bad; just our scallops came out late. We were waiting for it over 5 mins. Ambiance is cute

Yelp
I really want to like this place but i'm not sure why. Maybe because everyone else raves about it. The idea of this place is so classy. But...This is my second time coming here. It's wise to make reservations as far in advance as possible. My friends and I decided a day before to eat here. We had to use a credit card to secure our reservation. The only seating available for three people was not at a standard table it was in places referred to as "the nook" or "the living room." Arrived for our reservation and another party was still in our living room space, so they offered us to sit and wait at the bar until the table was cleared. While we sat at the bar the waitress accidentally gave our table to someone else because somehow our names/res had dropped off the system or no one told her we were here at the bar. Thankfully the bartender knew and let her know, so she got our table back. That was after she decided to confront the other bartender who did not tell her we were at the bar "in the back kitchen area" but still in view and earshot of us. She then sat us. We waited half an hour in total to be seated and to get our orders taken. Then an additional half an hour for our food to come out. The food tasted fine and the drinks were good. But overall not worth the: hype, wait, struggle to get a res, chinatown parking/vibes. Just not worth it at all. Observing the other servers, they all seemed great. We however were left with the server who's ego was bruised over a simple misunderstanding/miscommunication, to the point where she took it out on her coworkers in front of customers and then neglected our table the rest of the evening too ashamed to face us and couldn't get over it. She was just so affected by the mistake although we tried to move on. You could see her (since the place is so small) interacting with all her other customers and then when she came to us, she greeted us with such discontent and just had no more capacity to care or serve us in a way that would make us want to come back. So unfortunate. Everyone else seems to like their job and life. I hope she didn't berate the workers any further after we left. Yikes. On another note, maybe don't come here hungry. All the portions are kid sized.

Yelp
I wish I came here sooner! I think this is one of my new favorite brunch spots! The vibes are cozy and luxurious! I love everything about it. ***What I ordered ~ **Fizzical Therapy (10/10) ~ Light, easy to drink, taste like juice. I highly recommend ordering this! The yuzu flavor is light but the alcohol taste isn't overpowering. I loved this to the core and if I could drink this all the time I would! **Full English Breakfast (9/10) ~ This was a really good English Breakfast. Personally, my favorite was the sausage and the baked beans! I'm not sure what they put in the beans but it was sooo addicting! The sausage as well was super good! This dish was very filling! Overall, Service was amazing and food was good. I would definitely come back again for brunch! This is such a cute date spot! But be warned parking is a hassle. So try come early to scope it out!

Yelp
Podmore has amazing food! I don't drink but I have friends who do so I get to see the pouring or unveiling of smokey drinks which is cool. They have a few drinks on the menu that are non-alcoholic. I personally enjoy "It's 4:59 Somewhere" because that one is a citrusy and refreshing drink. I've been here after work a few times and they offer snacks and heavier items like steak. If you order a bunch of the snacks for yourself, you can get full. I've gotten close to ordering everything on the food menu when they first opened and the bill was super expensive. My suggestion for eating/drinking here is to not look at the prices and order the items you can't get anywhere else. My favorites from the dinner menu are the proper fries and the smoked salmon. I recently came for brunch on the weekend and I loved it. The portions look small, but they are filling. I recommend ordering the smoked souffle pancakes because they're buttery and moist. The presentation for the pancake is very cool. They lift the lid with the smoke and it reveals a pancake with seasonal berries around it. Every bite of the pancake was delicious and the raspberries had a fruit filling in them. It was a "wow" dish! For some of the dinner and brunch items, they offer caviar as an add on. The staff will ask you if you order one of those items and you should say, yes because that saltiness from the caviar helps balance the flavor. Their interior space is beautiful and all the seats are very comfortable. In the evenings, the lighting is dark but for brunch, there's lots of daylight that come in from the windows. The service from the staff is excellent and they were so good at describing some of the foods we never heard of, so we knew what was going to be on the plate. They also made good recommendations on drinks and food when we couldn't decide what to get. For parking, I park on the Merchant Street and feed the meter on weekdays. For brunch, I park by the post office and since it was Sunday, parking was free. Another option for parking is inside Alii Place. They have reasonable parking rates but it's about a block away. My only issue with parking inside Alii Place is the walk back since that area is a bit sketch after sunset.

Yelp
Love this place!! 12/10! Came here after work with my girlfriend and had the best time. I ordered the Spring Chung Chow and she got the Live Free or Chai it was unbelievable. The presentation of everything was the best I've seen so far! The service was impeccable. Our food was amazing especially the presentation of our food! We got the Scotch Quail Eggs and the Devils on Horseback, the whole presentation and taste was amazing. Everything was above beyond what we expected, one of the best restaurants in the downtown area! Definitely will be coming back.

Yelp
Brunch dates are essential in life and Podmore is a place where you can kind of feel fancy with cool vibes. It is smaller than most brunch places so if you have a party of 6, they'll have to push two tables together. Parking is relatively easy since you can park at the post office and walk over. My favorite dishes would have to be the Christmas Breakfast and the Kale Lasagna. Don't let the Christmas Breakfast picture fool you because it was a lot bigger than we expected! Not me thinking I needed at least two portions of it until it came out and ate my words. Absolutely loved every bite (who doesn't love hash browns) For the Kale Lasagna, the whole portion was crispy! That's something I never expected but should be a requirement for all lasagnas because we love a crispy crunch. The least favorite of the morning was the Carbonara -- not much flavor, definitely not what we're used to so we personally would pass on that As much as we enjoyed the food and drinks, our server was a different story... she seemed a bit condescending when we asked her a simple question about the Carbonara and we somehow got a whole lecture of how it's impossible to not include eggs in the dish... We could of done without the sassiness and it made us wish we didn't have her as our server but Emily (the bartender) brightened up our day with her sweet personality and made us birthday drinks. Someone give her a raise for her amazing customer service attitude!

Yelp
Dined here for our 5-year anniversary and reserved with resy (so easy). Service by the bar tender and hostess was professional and calm. Ambiance was aesthetic, posh, and well decorated. It's a smaller establishment but elegantly done. Drinks packed a punch as every cocktail here served its purpose! My favorite was the savory churro caviar. Portions are smaller but creatively made.

Yelp
The coffee was a spectacular letdown. It had that awful sour quality of over-roasted beans and I really did not enjoy it. This perhaps handicapped the Podmore's chances at wowing me, cuz brunch coffee is foundational! The Bloody Mary was nice enough, a fresh tasting mix with more-than-basic garnish: pickled cauliflower, grape tomato, and wittle bitty dill pickle. The food was, as everyone else will tell you, a real treat to observe. It's handcrafted so artfully, with meticulous design, and it's tasty too. Unfortunately, as a consequence of the exacting presentation, it takes a very long time to arrive. Some dishes are also disappointingly scanty (like that smoked pancake), and they're all pretty spendy. Our server was pleasant and relaxing, but not briskly attentive as you might expect from sophisticated dining. In general, the downtown dining lacked substance, and though this place has a creative lead, it falls in line with the expected so-so baseline. I consider it only average in general, but I'm kicking it up to a fourth star for creativity.

Yelp
This is the most aesthetically stunning lounge to visit in Hawaii. Very classy and intimate, perfect for a date or night with friends. Visually beautiful inside decor: luxury emerald green velvet chairs, deep violet bar seats, tinges of gold, marble walls, hanging plants. There is a dress code -- dress to impress! Cocktail dress and suit for this special occasion. Still overdressed, but we wanted to take this opportunity since there's not many places in Hawaii where people can dress up. Easy to make reservations through Resy. They greeted us with a happy birthday and a celebratory bourbon mixed drink on the house. Very kind gesture. Host and server was very friendly. Shoutout to Tommy! He was very down to earth and made our night enjoyable and fun. Very IG worthy spot and drinks. Beautiful presentation. Expensive spot, however, you are paying for the ambiance too. The owners clearly put thought, time, and money to create this luxurious space. The speciality cocktails are $30, considering the labor it takes to make the drink I can see why. The Chung Chow was unique and refreshing. It was lovely once the ice melted, creating more depth in flavor. Other cocktails were $18 each. We just came for a nightcap, therefore didn't order any food. Might just be my new favorite cocktail lounge :) Can't wait to come back to try brunch!

Yelp
What a waste of a morning in Hawaii. The staff is positively severe and that sets the tone of your morning. Not one smile, not one piece of warmth. Our server is was borderline hostile. Eye contact and refills avoided. Our Christmas breakfast meals were mediocre. The spinach was quite bitter. Bloody Mary was really great. A total skip for me.

Yelp
I love visiting Podmore in historic Downtown Honolulu! The ambiance of the Joseph W. Podmore Building is always a welcome escape from the office. During my recent visit, I enjoyed a quick pau hana cocktail and snacks with a friend after work. Chef Anthony Rush's attention to detail extends to the beverage list, where culinary expertise meets mixology magic. The cocktails were truly a treat for the senses, expertly crafted with a creative twist. I was particularly captivated by the Let's Go To the Movies cocktail - the popcorn & butter baby blue balcones old fashioned and the cola cocktail were nothing short of amazing. Not only are the unusual and fun house cocktails at Podmore exceptional, but the food offerings are not your typical fare and perfectly complement the innovative drinks. The croquettes, a blend of broccoli, cheddar, and russet potato, were a delightful fusion of flavors and textures. Each bite was a symphony of taste that left me craving more. Equally impressive were the crab crackers, featuring blue crab, yuzu aioli, avocado puree, and lemon & dill rice crackers. The combination of ingredients were masterfully executed, resulting in a dish that danced on my taste buds. And let's not forget the "proper chips" - russet potatoes served with housemade ketchup and truffle aioli. These chips were the epitome of comfort and indulgence, and the dipping sauces elevated the experience to a whole new level. The presentation of each dish was a work of art, beautifully served and perfect for sharing among friends. Podmore's dedication to creating memorable culinary experiences shines through in every bite. Whether you're a cocktail enthusiast or a food lover, Podmore is an absolute must-visit destination that offers a harmonious blend of inventive cocktails and delectable dishes. Podmore is a go-to destination for exceptional cocktails that push the boundaries and offer a delightful escape. It's evident that the duo behind Senia, Chef Anthony Rush, and Katherine Nomura, have succeeded in creating a remarkable all-day food and cocktail haven. I can't wait to return and explore more of their innovative offerings!
