Poetica Coffee opens up its first Park Slope (well, border of Park Slope / Windsor Terrace) output, strategically right by the F train! Now, if you had asked me what this neighborhood needs more of I sincerely doubt I ever would've said "another cafe / coffee joint" and yet here I am, kinda excited about Poetica. It's in a great location and, as of opening during pandemic, it has a buncha outdoor seating in the front and, I presume, seating in the back as well (knowing the layout of the restaurant that used to be here at least....)
What's nicest about Poetica, to me, is their unique coffee blends and their under $10 price points. You can get a really solid prosciutto croissant sandwich for roughly $8, a little baked pastry with chicken (they call 'pierogi'?) for under $5, or a small quiche for $6. They also have tempting looking dessert-y things, like scones and muffins and macarons and little fruit tarts.
Their coffee is similarly reasonably priced, under $3 for a flavorful (and strong!) drip coffee feels like a breath of fresh air 'round these parts. They also seem to offer your fav coffee bar extras, from matcha to earl grey lattes. No complaints!
I'm looking forward to coming back and tasting everything on the menu. Even having only been once, I'm already eyeing this as a potential workday lunch go-to, especially useful once offices resume and I can grab and go!
