Google
I’ve been on the hunt for a great coffee shop in Brooklyn, and I’m so glad I finally found Compilation Coffee Roasters! Their caramel latte completely exceeded my expectations! it was delicious and made so quickly. The presentation was also on point, with an oat milk flower foam art that added a stylish touch. The combination of speed, quality, and attention to detail has definitely earned them a repeat customer. I’ll definitely be coming back more often!

I head to this beautifully relaxed cafe on a warm sunny Thursday with a friend to catch up, and since we wanted to take a nice stroll around prospect parks I found this delightful little cafe. When i first entered this cafe I was met with an evergreen plant effect that was crossed all over the cafe, they really did a wonderful job with incorporating plants and natural light to the cafe which made people sitting inside really relaxed and calm, without having to worry or stress about anything. We ordered a nice latte and a flat white with a scones and an almond crossiant, I really enjoyed the nice softness and crispness of the scone, I can’t recall what flavor it was but it was quite fulfilling and did serve my appetite perfectly. The coffee was pretty rich and strong in flavor, I could really taste the different notes. I also wanted to highlight ok the very aesthetically pleasing interior throughout the cafe, I genuinely did enjoy the ambiance of this cafe, it genuinely made me feel at peace and I definitely think i’ll be revisiting it for future study/ work sessions. Their barista was very nice, and handed everything with me in a nice manner, overall speaking I’d definitely recommend this cafe to anyone who wants a sitdown and enjoy a nice piece of coffee it down with premium quality drinks.

I absolutely love Poetica Coffee! The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to relax or work. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to recommend their best coffee. I tried their cappuccino, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had—rich and flavorful! Plus, the pastries are delicious. If you’re looking for a great coffee experience, I highly recommend Poetica Coffee!

Google
Cute cafe, cute sitting area towards the back of the hall and a few tables set up on the sidewalk. Got a Chai Latte and it was yummy, but the Almond croissant .. chef's kiss 🫰🤌

Google
Great coffee and delicious croissants! The cozy atmosphere enhances the experience. A must-visit spot for coffee enthusiasts and pastry lovers.

Poetry of Coffee is exactly how I want to feel about my coffee! My mornings were not complete until I had The Poetica with oat milk, so delicious and pleasantly surprised. Very happy I found this place on our trip! Also as a bonus a very cute place and a nice seating area in the back.

Google
This place put a Palestinian flag right behind the counter, during the days when Hamas returned dead bodies of two babies taken as hostages and murdered in captivity. Definitely not a place where jews or Israelis should spend their money.

Google
I had matcha latte. It was excellent. Not sweet at all. Coffee shop is created to people to hang out and work there. They have free wifi, printing paper option and lots of seats in the back.

Yelp
My husband and I were visiting Prospect Park and needed an area for him to work and get away from the rain. This place was perfect! Having both indoor and outdoor seating in the back, it was really cozy and there are plenty of outlets everywhere (literally every seat in the back there is a power strip near you to plug into so you will not lack power), free and fast Wifi (very fast my husband was able to do all his video calls with no issues), as well as a lot of people working remotely and taking calls. Probably wouldn't recommend if you need absolute silence to work in, but it was perfect for my husband as there was a low buzz of convo all around and gentile pitter patter of rain on the roof. I got a potato pierogi and wow it's huge! The filling inside was yummy with lots of dill, but wish the outside was more fluffy and less dense. My husband got drip coffee and enjoyed it. Parking wise there is metered parking all around, but the subway stop is literally around the corner off line F and G.

Yelp
It's a gem in Windsor Terrace neighborhood. Nice staff, plenty of food choices for a veganese like me. Cozy seating area too, inside and out.

Lina F.

Yelp
This place has the most delicious pastries in the area. I believe they bake their goods onsite! I got the morning bun - swirly cinnamon bun and it was so crispy and soft on the inside. Also topped it off with a small ice coffee with a splash of half and half. I highly recommend this place to people. There is even an back area to sit and do some work. The space has a lot light and so cheerful and a spot to work remotely. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu!

Yelp
Best matcha and chai in the area! Chill ambiance, pierogis and friendly baristas, one of my favorite cafes in Park Slope. Highly recommend.

Deb C.

Yelp
Their coffee is good, and food choices are a plenty (fantastic pastries, btw), but if you're getting your first cuppa before hitting the train, plan ahead. Morning service is pretty slow.

Yelp
Pretty decent coffee! I'm visiting a friend in NY and she took me here on our way to walk around Prospect Park. It was a beautiful and peaceful neighborhood. There was only lady working the counter but she was extremely friendly and made us great coffee. The coffee shop also smelled like fresh churros were being made, super sugary and cinnamon-y! It was a treat! I would definitely have to stop by again whenever I'm here to just sit, relax, and read a book!

Adam Y.

Yelp
Such a cool new coffee shop with good eats. I've visited another of their locations which is as great all from the drip coffee, matcha lattes and freshly baked croissants on the premises. Le's not Forget the pierogies and quiches so excited they've opened in an area I visit often.

Hari K.

Yelp
Coffee is solid, as are the pastries. (Love the macarons) There is tons of room to work or meet people for coffee in the backroom. Baristas are very nice! Family friendly too!

Donavan I.

Yelp
The coffee wasn't very good and the inside was banal and not particularly clean... For some odd reason I didn't feel welcome the moment I walked into the place almost like a sense of animosity...

Albert K.

Yelp
Great coffee, kind staff, FREE wifi, and lots of seating. Phone booth for rent $5/30 minutes. Other coffee shops should replicate this one. There's actually seating, electrical plugs, and a phone booth to work in peace.

Nick R.

Yelp
I visit this cafe every day for my macchiato and have gotten used to grabbing a fresh croissant too, kind of a bad habit at this point -- but it's so good. Today, it was really busy, but the person in the red shirt made sure I got my order quickly. Even with the crowd, the place felt welcoming, and the service was great as usual.

Yelp
Poetica Coffee opens up its first Park Slope (well, border of Park Slope / Windsor Terrace) output, strategically right by the F train! Now, if you had asked me what this neighborhood needs more of I sincerely doubt I ever would've said "another cafe / coffee joint" and yet here I am, kinda excited about Poetica. It's in a great location and, as of opening during pandemic, it has a buncha outdoor seating in the front and, I presume, seating in the back as well (knowing the layout of the restaurant that used to be here at least....) What's nicest about Poetica, to me, is their unique coffee blends and their under $10 price points. You can get a really solid prosciutto croissant sandwich for roughly $8, a little baked pastry with chicken (they call 'pierogi'?) for under $5, or a small quiche for $6. They also have tempting looking dessert-y things, like scones and muffins and macarons and little fruit tarts. Their coffee is similarly reasonably priced, under $3 for a flavorful (and strong!) drip coffee feels like a breath of fresh air 'round these parts. They also seem to offer your fav coffee bar extras, from matcha to earl grey lattes. No complaints! I'm looking forward to coming back and tasting everything on the menu. Even having only been once, I'm already eyeing this as a potential workday lunch go-to, especially useful once offices resume and I can grab and go!

Suri M.

Yelp
Yay, another location for this great cafe! They made the front really cute, with a recognizable color scheme, and a few small tables and chairs. It's loud! I mean really loud. For a quieter experience, go through the cafe to the back patio. There are three small tables truly outside back there, and a larger enclosed area equivalent to the enclosed outdoor space at the Windsor Terrace location. The wifi is strong enough to attract the working on a project on your laptop crowd (yes I've been that person here). Espresso coffees are expertly made, and they have all of the non dairy milk options. Definitely order a pastry; the quiches are delicious, as are the pierogi (really piroshki, the fried dough things not the dumplings), and sometimes they have other Central Asian specialities (Uzbek? Don't want to get it wrong, but for example there's baklava that is totally different to what you get in Turkey). Also, you know, everything you'd want in Park Slope like macaron, croissants, etc. one gender neutral restroom and they encourage graffiti :) Great service but the indoor space is so narrow, they might have to rearrange the counter at some point...

Alexis S.

Yelp
My friend and I came here last weekend as she had stumbled upon it a few weeks back and we both thought we should check it out. They have a very cute and albeit Instagram worthy set up in the front and then a very cute back garden area (that we sat in). They have a good selection of coffee and tea drinks, along with pastries and sandwiches. I would definitely come back here again!

Kellam C.

Yelp
Great little, Spot. Not a bargain but nicely decorated with plants and decent art. Would gave been a 5 star if the cappuccino was on point. Not a bad one but bot a great one. Still the decor and ambience is notable and very "coffee shop" in a great way.

Ting Z.

Yelp
The decor is really cute here and they have a really nice, quiet back room where you can sit down and work. I really enjoyed their signature drink, the Poetica (some kind of vanilla latte, I think?). They aced the foam part, which was so rich and creamy. Not a fan of their "pierogies" though. I ordered a chicken one and found it incredibly dry.

Sora A.

Yelp
Great neighborhood coffee spot in South Slope. Out of their nearby competitors, I have chosen this to be my go spot for coffee. Huge plus for vegan options and promoting sustainability!

Eve C.

Yelp
I stopped by this place on a Saturday afternoon. The cafe's decor is so beautiful -- it's painted bright blue and adorned with artificial flowers. There are a few outdoor tables as well as seating indoors. I didn't really see the indoor seating since it's past the register, but it was decorated with a huge variety live plants which was lovely. I got an iced latte with oat milk. The coffee was pretty strong but still delicious! I would love to come here again since this place is so beautiful but it's so far ;_;

Betty E.

Yelp
Best coffee in Brooklyn. Get the Poetica with oat milk or an espresso with a pump of vanilla & oat milk, you won't regret it! Plenty of seating both indoor & outdoors.

Angela M.

Yelp
I tried to call the cafe to give them a heads up about this but they're not answering. All I want is for them to have this information so they can fix the problem. I'm not upset or anything. They have two different descriptions of their turkey sandwich on seamless. One is with mozzarella, the other with cream cheese (which I find disgusting). So I ordered the mozzarella version. Got the cream cheese. Unfortunately I have to throw it away. You may want to fix your description to avoid having to issue refunds in the future.

Felicia S.

Yelp
Cute spot to grab and go or lounge around sipping and eating. Staff is super friendly and helpful with recommendations. I had the pierogis, which weren't the usual Polish pierogis, but more like an empanada type. They explained it to me, I ordered it and devoured all of them. The space is the old Brunswick spot.

Aria L.

Yelp
They only stay open until five apparently despite not showing it anywhere and i walked all the way here for nothing

Noelle N.

Yelp
This little coffee shop has the most adorable store front. They have a great spot in the back for sitting as well, or if you're looking for a place to work with your laptop. While I loved the aesthetics and vibe of this coffee shop, I wasn't totally in love with my coffee. I had tried their cold brew and for me, it tasted a little too sour. I definitely want to come back give something else a try, maybe they had an off day with their cold brew.

Elizabeth P.

Yelp
I've been going to this coffee shop religiously, I'm one of their regulars and there so many good things to say about this place. Recently a new blonde barista was hired and gives excellent customer service, I'm glad to say that I will continue going back to this place as it has become one of my favorite places to grab a coffee and relax.

Whitney D.

Yelp
Love Poetica - love the coffee, the friendly baristas, the fact that they don't mind if you work in the back. The one thing is....it's FREEZING. If they could stop blasting the AC (it's on today even though it's 55 degrees outside) and fix the heating in the winter, it'd be a game changer. People in the back are constantly joking that they can see their breath. Otherwise, great spot.

Nodir R.

Yelp
great place to unwind the stress away and just enjoy authentic taste of cofee. I always love speding time at their backyard green oasis.

Kira S.

Yelp
SUCH A DARLING EXTERIOR!!!!!! But really a very regular, run of the mill cafe inside. The pastries are meh, and the drinks are pretty bland. The stars are very much going to the kind workers and the beautiful storefront. This is another one that I WISH was a hidden, delicious gem, but alas, tis not.

KS V.

Yelp
We're sympathetic to the fact that, post COVID, businesses are eager to welcome all people, but when I went by this morning, an employee I'd never noticed before wasn't masked, which makes me really nervous. My spouse is immune-compromised, so if I carry *anything* back, she may become deathly ill. I loved getting a latte from Poetica as a treat for a difficult morning, but I won't be returning until I feel safe.

Andrew C.

Yelp
My new favorite spot. we live right aroubd the corner and love their Chocolate twist!

Alisa C.

Yelp
I think this place is great if you're on your way to the train because they got the drinks , sweets , and savory covered . They even have some yogurt selection , which honestly is refreshing because you don't always want to eat a carb for breakfast . The super cute cheerful exterior doesn't really match the attitude inside . The guy who was working when I went twice was kind of meh and not super helpful or friendly. If you have a stroller , good luck getting inside this place as it's super narrow and a high step plus always a closed door. I've been to the backyard when it was a different coffee shop and it's great and nice to get work done back there .

Shahnoza D.

Yelp
Poetica coffee opened a second location at the border of Park slope/Windsor terrace and immediately became one of a kind good coffee bar - a true gem in the neighborhood. It has such a beautiful flowery decor, cozy interior, full of light backyard patio. The backyard is serene, and great for getting some work done. Baristas are super nice, and friendly. They serve in house baked croissants every day, and other selection of quiches, pirogies and macaroons! Not to mention their delicious drinks like Matcha and Poetica latte!

Princess S.

Yelp
Best almond croissants, ever!! Amazing atmosphere, with a cultural touch on their menu. Love it.

Natalie P.

Yelp
The food is really good- I've had the quiches, salmon sandwich, and some drinks. Last time I was here the person at the counter commented that I hadn't left a tip when I paid with my card (I usually tip in cash); I found that so unprofessional and rude that it really made me angry and I won't be going back. If that story doesn't bother you, though, by all means. Like I said, the food is good. And it is a cute little spot.

Kate D.

Yelp
How adorable! Great coffee and incredible spacious set up. Can't wait to go back for the food

Elaine B.

Yelp
I don't like their coffee, but had an almond milk chai, and it was delicious. Also the young woman behind the counter was lovely. I ordered a butter and egg pastry which was really good.

Emily W.

Yelp
Great spot to work with your laptop or just grab a quick iced coffee. Most delicious macarons! I'd love to buy big boxes of them to give as gifts! I just wish this place would take environmental concerns more seriously - they only use disposable plastic cups with plastic straws and paper cups (even for to stay orders) and they don't seem to recycle. I hope to see paper straws, re-usable glasses and mugs in the future so we can all enjoy this place and take care of our Earth simultaneously.

Maria P.

Yelp
A nice place with a good selection of delicious pastries (even vegan options) and sandwiches, with a relaxed, quiet(!) area in the back. Will return!

Rustam B.

Yelp
Good place to get some work done. The macaron selection is amazing. Welcome to neighborhood.

Tim D.

Yelp
Great little coffee shop with a surprisingly large seating area out back. Lots of greenery and light, including the glass-covered hallway to the back. Delicious pastries and great coffee - perfect addition to the neighborhood
