This was our first time back since the new owner (who is also head chef) took over. Let’s just say that our food was wonderful. We loved it all. However, id you’re looking for an overall 5-star experience, this is what we found a bit off: -server training was lacking. I do understand that staff is hard to find, but both servers in the dining area were clueless about specials, what was in each dish, and didn’t seem too eager to seek out the info they didn’t know -This location presents itself as somewhat upscale (for this area). Great menu items with a high price tag for example. So when our server comes over with a dirty shirt and a backwards baseball hat, we were taken aback a little. The other server had a fluffy hot pink hat on which seemed out of place and unprofessional. ***I would like to note that both of them were super friendly. I just think maybe a dress code and a little staff training could go a long way to make this place extra special. -The cardboard menus were dirty. Mine was crumpled and crusty. Just throw it out and use a new one :) -We sat by the window and there were a lot of dead flies. It’s an old building so that’s inevitable, but we got there right when they opened. Just vacuum a little before you open. Again, the food was wonderful. The chef came out to talk to us, which was a nice touch. Desserts are home made and delicious. I’m just nitpicking for those who are nitpicky…

The best dining experience I've had in the Lakes Region. Although it was a busy Saturday night, the restaurant was properly staffed and the food/drinks came out quickly. Menu was diverse and well thought out. The gnocchi dish was one of the best plates of food I've had. This place can be pricey for some, you get what you pay for. This is truly a hidden gem that more people should know about. I cannot wait to go again.

Seriously one of the best meals of my life. Everything was amazing. Not the cheapest option around but it was incredible. The staff was so friendly, the old house was well done and I like that there are several rooms that don’t get crowded or overly loud. The outside dining with live music was a nice touch, but we are inside. And the food was incredible. Sweets, the chef came to our table we were ordering 4 different meals to try, we had 3 picked out already and asked him his favorite 4. We had 3 correct and he suggested the 4th. It was delicious, everything was served hot and had so many flavors.

They have a great, new outdoor pavilion with beer and snacks. That’s where we were. We started with a “who loves the sun” and then a “dog and pony show”. Both were your average light, summery beers. The “dog and pony show” allegedly had kiwi and grapefruit in it but not that I could taste. We had a chips and dip which appetizer was original Lay’s potato chips and some aioli dip. For my entree I had the “chicky parm”. To me it tasted like my high school’s frozen chicken patty slathered in the sweetest tomato sauce I ever tasted. The sauce definitely could have used some salt and pepper. All in all it was a nice vibe. There was a light breeze, there was live music, but I don’t think I’d eat outside again. I would probably just have appetizers and beer. I would still like to try the restaurant though. 2 sandwiches, 4 beers and chips were $80.20, not including tip. Speaking of tip, how much do you tip someone who pours beers and puts an order in? They do not have table service, a runner brings the food out. We tipped, don’t come for me.

So excited to have found a NH born chef that really understands locally sourced ingredients. I highly recommend the restaurant and sincerely look forward to returning again sometime soon. My only regret is that we live so far away and can't spend more time enjoying the space and thoughtfully prepared dishes which are unique and represent NH agriculture with respect. Service at the bar was flawless and enthusiastic, such a great experience! Get to know this chef before you can't get a reservation at his space

The food is to die for! All of the flavors are spot on so don’t let the menu intimidate you! I highly recommend the Kinda Like Mom Made #5, it is especially delicious as cold leftovers. And you should DEFINITELY sign up for the Cooking Classes with Sweets!

The food was and drinks were really good. Loved the hot Italian taco appetizer. We had two pasta dishes that were also good but could have been hooked up with some fresh herbs and freshly grated cheese and I miss having black pepper grinders on the table, but I get it, COVID. 🙄 The pasta itself was top notch and our waitress Gabby was outstanding. We started out outside with a lovely water view but after a few sprinkles we hustled inside and were accommodated readily. We sat by a window so could hear the live music outside. Overall it was lovely date night with my new husband. Thank you! 👍

The atmosphere is incredible! Ask about the history of the building. The food is killer. I had the miso shrimp Ramen bowl which was served in a gorgeous bowl. So good! Drinks were delicious. The service was knowledge and friendly. I highly recommend OP! A well thought out, creative menu makes this more than just dining, it is an experience. PS - cheesecake is the best I've ever had.
