Such a good spot just a block away from where I stayed. I ordered the City Special and was really happy with the portion. Would definitely go back!

When oh when will Boston get a genuinely GOOD poke spot????? I tried Poke City in yet another attempt to finally find a place to get my poke fix. Unfortunately, I was let down yet again. First off, WAY too much rice. I opted for both rice and salad, which was a mistake. My bowl was piled with the most rice I've ever had in a poke bowl, and the salad was romaine???? I always get salad in my poke bowls and never once had romaine. The texture and flavor of romaine do not go with poke flavors whatsoever. I was expecting to get spring mix like other poke restaurants have. I also got the three protein bowl ($17.95) which was a waste of money because for the amount of fish I received, it seems like I got the two protein option. Lastly, one of the sauces I got (sesame ginger aioli) was just not it. It was way too overpowering to the point where I could hardly taste anything else in the bowl. I hate getting food from a restaurant and feeling like I completely wasted my money. Unfortunately, that's what happened here.

Placed an online order from here and everything went smoothly! The poke is very fresh and so many toppings, sauces, and additions to choose from! The staff is very friendly and there is a decent amount of indoor seating available. Will definitely come back here again!

I had a two-protein (tuna and salmon) poke bowl with brown rice base. It was very good and service was very fast. There were a lot of additional topping options and there’s a very small seating area if you want to dine in. I highly recommend the place for a good value and quick dinning option.

Google
I often order take out and repeatedly get the same bowl maybe once or twice a month and I’m always very satisfied with the flavor, portions and price. Even when I alternate protein portion, they still always give me a great portion and would highly recommend!

Pleasantly surprised with the vibrant flavors and with my favorite rice bowl dishes. Ordered the organic tofu green bowl vegan with spicy miso sauce and every bite was delicious. The shiitake mushrooms and the way they were sautéed was full of flavor added to the depth of flavors. Would love to try again

I go here for lunch all the time during work. Quick easy delicious. I get the bento size for a little smaller/ cheaper option.

Google
Good poke bowl, a little heavy on the sauces they put on it.

Yelp
There are two Poke City(s). This one is on Broad Street. Their crab salad was a nice cool treat, but could be a tad less sweet. As is, I enjoy eating it at home as a sort of unbaked sushi treat by topping a snack piece of dried seaweed with some basic long grain rice, scooping their crab salad on top, and sprinkling furikake on it. Yum! I also picked up a snack bowl to go with my small dessert from home to act as lunch. Sushi rice topped with eel (very thin slivers, but tender and tasty), marinated shiitake mushrooms, tobiko, edamame, seaweed salad, all held neatly in the bottom half of a clamshell container. The rice was an okay portion and well flavored, but stuck together and on the dry side. Everything else was a small scoop of each. Even at my sometimes light appetite, I definitely needed that slice of cake to make this an okay sized lunch. Service has been pleasant on each visit.

Yelp
Solid poké at a decent price. The 3-protein bowl comes out to $16 after tax and there is no limit to the number of toppings you can get. This is definitely more of a takeout place, though there is seating if you want to dine in. Service can be a bit slow, but the workers have always been attentive to my order.

Yelp
Needed a protein fix mid day after forgetting to pack my lunch - Poke-City was the perfect spot to get a good mix of protein and carbs in. You can stack your own bowl choosing two different meats if you like. I went with the spicy tuna bowl. The staff was hard at work but made sure there was not a long line of people waiting. There is not anywhere to sit down inside so take your bowl to go!

Yelp
Appreciated the Zoodle Base Option! We were visiting Boston from Vegas and wanted a quick bite for dinner after a long day of sight seeing. We Yelped this place and walked from the Boston Commons. It was perfect! The server behind the counter was friendly and the food was great. Very fresh seafood. I always get a salad base instead of rice to cut back on the carbs and I appreciated that this place offered spiraled zucchini "noodles" as a base option. We would totally go here again if it there was a location in Vegas.

Yelp
This is a hole-in-the-wall poke bowl restaurant near Faneuil Hall and the New England Aquarium. The menu is totally customizable and pretty reasonably priced for being in the middle of the city. The food is always fresh. I've been ordering to-go from here for over a year and have never had a problem. Depending on the time of day, there may be a line for those ordering in-store, but picking up is practically instantaneous. The staff are pretty quiet, but that makes for a relaxing place to sit and eat. I usually take my food to eat in the park but there are some tables inside - enough room for three or four people. As far as accessibility, the entrance has at least one step and it's a little narrow. It shares the entryway with a set of apartments on the upper floors, so there's a tight turn into the restaurant.

Yelp
Great lunch option in downtown Boston that will fill you up without causing that post-lunch food coma. My preference is the build-your-own poke bowl with sushi rice, salmon, and tuna, but they have enough variety of proteins, mix-ins and toppings to satisfy most appetites.

Yelp
I've never experienced such awful customer service in my life by the girl working the counter. Terrible attitude not only to me, but even to the customer who picked up an online order. Maybe she shouldn't be customer facing if she seems to hate everyone so much. (Ps I've never posted a yelp review before but I need to get the word out on how awful this place is) The food isn't any better

Michelle K.

Yelp
The fish was gross. I've never had such mediocre poke.... Boston isn't known for its food, so I wasn't too surprised, but if you are looking for a tasty meal definitely not the place

George S.

Yelp
We went there with very little expectations, I tried poke in Hawaii and I loved it. Been looking for a good poke place ever since, but never found anything that came even close to Hawaii poke. Saw this place on yelp and decided to give it a try. I fell in love, it's been twice in the same week I go there. The salmon, tuna and ingredients are fresh and super tasty. The staff is amazingly friendly and the restaurant is well located. I recommend it and I certainly will be going again. They have a reward/loyalty system, after 10 visits you get a free plate, which is a nice extra.

Zack M.

Yelp
This bowl was delicious and I always will recommend making your own poke bowl to get the best flavors. This is a solid poke place and will probably be my go-to place until I find a one that blows me away in Boston.

Lisa S.

Yelp
This place has good poke bowl menu selections. They have plenty of topping options and the bowls are quite filling. I recommend it if your in the downtown area.

Mac M.

Yelp
The place we pretty decent. Not the best but not the worst Poke I've ever had. Pretty dresh and the staff was decent

Bob O.

Yelp
At best I would describe this place as mediocre. I read the rave reviews and thought I'd give this place a shot. Ordered a Classic Chicken bowl (of all things to order at a poke place, I know this probably isn't the go-to, but I was in the mood, and it was on the menu, so I spun the wheel). Overall the bowl was just fine, not terrible and certainly not great. There were six small bland chicken thigh bits and some unseasoned corn, some cabbage, green onion and shiitake mushrooms. Other than the mushrooms, which were the highlight, there really wasn't much holding this thing together as a dish. It felt more like a bunch of ingredients thrown together, rather than a bowl of curated teriyaki goodness. What I can say for sure is that the Classic Chicken bowl just doesn't live up to the hype of the other reviews. Still, it's only one dish, and it may be that the salmon and tuna are the better options. That said, I'll not be returning for this one.

Yelp
Definitely recommend this place! My partner and I each got the Make-Your-Own Poké Bowls a while back and they were fantastic. All the food tasted and looked fresh. We ordered online and arrived at the store with our order packaged neatly and with everything included. Seemed to be a smaller business since it wasn't busy but I don't understand how it wasn't! We ate inside and the atmosphere was very quaint and adorable. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the food. Would 100% go again. I wish there were more locations so I could access it elsewhere! I am only aware that there's a location in Cambridge. The only thing I didn't love was the miso soup. Other than that, everything was perfect, even the desserts. Thank you Poké City for the great experience!

Yelp
I saw that a new Poké City opened near my office downtown, so I thought I would give it a shot. I got a bento box with brown rice and shoyu tuna, edamame, lettuce, avocado, and Poké City sauce. All of the components were tasty, although I could have used a little more sauce, and next time I would choose something other than avocado, which I didn't think fit well with the rest of the components texturally. Ideally, I'd also want more lettuce. I wanted to order in advance for pickup, and it appears their website only lets you do that for their Porter Square, Cambridge location, so I had to go through a third-party app. Hopefully they add this location to their website ordering soon. Overall, I'm very glad to have them in the neighborhood to add to my regular lunch rotation.

Yelp
Just went to go grab lunch and noticed a dead cockroach on the food prep station, next to the raw fish, they hadn't even noticed it. They continued to prepare bowls as if it was totally normal.

Sean L.

Yelp
I love their poke bowls. It's right near my office so it's convenient for me during my break. The food is great, but some of the workers often don't know the items on their own menu. I would request a particular topping or side & they would look at me sideways. The option is on the menu, so they should know what I'm talking about. It's a small gripe so it's not enough for me to not highly recommend going there if you like poke bowls.

Thuy Q.

Yelp
The portions are excellent, there is a lot of variety for toppings, and the fish is super fresh!

Melissa C.

Yelp
Great service! What I ordered: Spicy tuna bowl What I'd order again: Spicy tuna bowl

Dong H.

Yelp
If you are looking for a healthy and inexpensive quick lunch or dinner, Poke-city is the place in financial district/downtown Boston. We picked Poke City special and Hawaiian Classic with salmon as our choices. Everything was quite fresh and delicious. Only drawback for us was that rice in both dishes were a little bit undercooked. Maybe sushi rice would be better choice. We will definitely come back to this place often to pick up our dinners.

Robin W.

Yelp
I've been on the lookout for good poke after having the best in Hawaii and this does not disappoint. Their food is incredibly fresh and flavorful. And the price is amazing for the amount you get. The service is also super quick! All of the bowls look good (or you can make your own) but as a creature of habit, I've been getting the Hawaiian bowl and I can't stop.

Khai V.

Yelp
I work in the Financial District in Downtown Boston and this is the closest Poké restaurant. I've only been there once but I'll keep going back because it's pretty good Poké for a great price. It's actually a REALLY good price. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the staff has "I don't want to be a work right now" vibes.

Ariana L.

Yelp
This place is literally the best! I'm a huge fan. The quality of the fish is extremely high and they give you generous scoops and have fair prices. Possibly the best value for poke anywhere. And they have a rewards program that grants you a free bowl after 8 stamps. They know what they're doing. Get the Hawaiian shoyu salmon or the spicy salmon bowl. Excellent! We got a few times a month.

Cameron K.

Yelp
First time coming here. I don't really eat seafood so I ordered the chicken bowl with various toppings. Everything was fresh and tasty. They have a wide variety of sauces and I look forward to trying new ones the next time I go. Also, the staff was very friendly and helpful when ordering.
