Poke OG Review - Downtown - Miami - The Infatuation

"Poke OG is right next door to Mr. Omakase, its sister restaurant. But this place is much more casual. And while the price point is much different, the attention to quality is obvious after just a bite. It’s also a fantastic takeout option. They have several sushi box options, which are packaged perfectly and even include a little paintbrush so you can distribute your soy sauce with the precision of Bob Ross. They also, as the name implies, offer poke bowls - but there is nothing wrong with coming here just for a roll or nigiri. photo credit: Cleveland Jennings" - Ryan Pfeffer

Google
We were extremely satisfied with our Poke bowls, the service, and friendliness of the employees. I loved my Vegan bowl! The prices weren't bad either. Poke OG is definitely worth stopping by for a quick bite or meal.

Erika Murray

Google
Yummy poke place inside 1800 lucky. Worth going, $14 a bowl which is probably average in a place like Wynwood. Fish was fresh and the avocado was delicious! If you're not a raw onion fan, beware!

Megan

Google
Usually get the spicy tuna or Hawaiian OG bowl but I got a tofu bowl and it was so good! I love how the menu is so customizable, large portions, and the ingredients are always fresh. We go all the time, best poke in Miami and decent prices!

Samantha Canon

Google
The Og bowl was one of the bes Ive ever had, we also got some complementary rice crispy rolls. The service was great, they were very accommodating and attentive. Would definitely be back

Patrick Van Negri

Google
My favorite poke bowl in Miami. I always get the rainbow OG. So delicious and tastes so fresh! Perfect balance of great ingredients. Definitely a must!

Sam Burr

Google
Place is consistent and fast although quality has gone downhill a bit in my opinion last several months - still really good I enjoy the boxes but you can tell the fish is just barely sashimi grade. Also, you order a $38 rainbow box and they give 0.5 oz of soy sauce and this is what $1 up charge for spicy mayo gets you. If i put notes in the section they will give more soy sauce but come on.

Google
Just WOW. Must try: rainbow bowl with extra avocado. If you’re lucky as I was, Josh and Ray would take care of you and make the night even more pleasant. Great service. Highly fresh. Definitely coming back.

Google
Ok people who are not to try that place, do it for sure it is awesome the sushi was more than fantastic, fresh, natural and really good I’ll come back for sure it was a really good food and service as well. 100% recommended

Yelp
Place said open online so I drove there specifically to get some poke bowl because the photos online look grate. Weird location there was no way of getting to the place because the walk path to it was closed off and no walking around the sigh pointing the direction outside make it seem like it's open. Decided to call the place no one answer so figured it must be closed.

Yelp
Was so excited to try this place but was so turned off by the server who worked here on 7/9/2023 @5pm. He didn't greet us or gave us a friendly welcome to introduce the menu to us - we were the only ones in line! Regardless, we opt to customize a bowl and as we were asking for options (not well listed in menu) he huffed and puffed as if we were suppose to know the menu. When asking about what kind of sauces they have he said "I'll tell you what we have.." but like doesn't.. lmao. Please hire friendly servers if you want your business to thrive! quite actually thought the fish quality was decent for a poke place though and had a decent amount of great toppings to choose from!

Yelp
Always the freshest fish. Go to's are the Salmon OG Bowl, the I Dream of Salmon box and the rolls. Always great to dine in and sit outside at The Oasis or have it delivered. If you dine in, bonus, you can order Miss Crispy Rice as well. Staff is friendly and super nice!

Yelp
This cute little spot is tucked away in wynwood - Great food & great service. Thank you Joshua!!

Yelp
This is the best poke bowl I've had in Miami. I lived in Hawaii so I'm pickier than most but there's some BAD places out here. I love the food concept at 1800 Lucky, it's a food hall with tons of great food and drink options, as well as indoor and outdoor seating. I found a 10-15min pick-up parking spot nearby so I grabbed this bowl to go. They don't list prices on the menu so I was shocked to see the $20 price on the register. It wouldn't have changed my mind necessarily, but heads up on the price! Overall the ahi, rice, and toppings were delicious. It's quick and easy to grab to go for lunch. Would come back!

Yelp
Love the vibe of the oasis! Was craving poke and the hybrid of bowl did not disappoint. It was delicious very fresh. The team member was so friendly. Great for a bite with a view and vibe of wynwood.

Yelp
Just tried; extremely salty and much too much soy sauce. Should be low sodium option. One and done.

Yelp
I was impressed!! I took some out-of-towners to 1-800-Lucky and they were jn the mood to the Poke Bowls. We all had diet restrictions/allergies yet we were all able to find something to try on the menu. Our order consisted of the Rainbow OG, the Salmon OG, the Hybrid OG and the Pineapple OG. I was a bit skeptical to try the Vegan/Vegetarian option (Pineapple OG) but it did not disappoint. It was delicious!!!! Pineapple, edamame, sweet onions, cucumber, green onions, jalapeño, brown rice, zucchini noodles, seaweed salad, avocado all in one bowl; made for a tasty dish. The bowl was a good portion size as well. I have gone to other places and I swear they were counting the grains of rice. There is outside and inside seating. It is a casual atmosphere and in the heart of Wynwood!

Yelp
Sooo good! Tried it for the first time and now I'm obsessed ! Best poke I've ever had. I ordered the rainbow og and shrimp tempura roll. Loved both of them. And the sushi roll comes in the cutest box!!

Yelp
poke og has been my go to poke spot especially for a late night healthy poke. you can't beat the price either. the rainbow OG is my go to item. the venue has now moved to the oasis from 1-800-lucky (just down the street) with a really nice improvement as they expanded to a multi restaurant style concept with their own poke bar, sushi bar, and churro station. service was still up to standard and the decor and ambiance was at a higher level than well done.

Yelp
Can the real Poke OG please stand up?! I absolutely love poke bowls. Cricket bestie(Sameera) and I were in 1-800-lucky and ordered the hybrid OG from here. Customer service was excellent with the gentleman asking us what kind of flavors we usually like etc. He recommended the Hybrid OG. This poke bowl consisted of salmon, ahi, sweet onion, edamame, jalapeños, spicy sauce all ingredients over rice. We also added avocado and seaweed which made the taste more phenomenal. This bowl does have a kick to it but you can get it less spicy if you tell them. Honestly one of the best poke bowls I have tasted and enjoyed. My friend absolutely loved it as well. Side Note- They can customize basically any bowl to your liking. Plus there are about four vegan options if you do not like ahi, salmon or hamachi.

Yelp
**Vegetarian/Vegan Friendly** I'm new to the game of poke bowls, and am I hooked! This fusion spot is located inside 1800Lucky, and it fits the vibe perfectly. Love that there is a Vegan menu here. I had the Pineapple OG, and I enjoyed the blend of sweet and savory flavors. I also like how I was able to add a variety of toppings! This is definitely a light, feel good meal. Customer service at this location was great too. I will be back!

Yelp
Sitting inside 1-800-Lucky at the central "bar," I'd have to say that aside from the taiyaki place, this is something I'd come back for. It's definitely my fav poké place in the Wynwood area so far. Ordered a build your own: + White rice (base) + Seaweed salad (wakame) + Masago + Sesame seeds + Avocado (upcharge) + Togarashi All that with salmon mixed with their dynamite aioli. Yum! Came on a Sunday around 12-1pm and it wasn't crowded. Came as a group of 5 adults and 2 babies. Plenty of seating and picked up dessert (taiyaki :D) after! Def some OG poké!

Yelp
This Asian quick service place shares the same kiosk with Myumi in the center of the food court/hall of 1-800 Lucky. I had the Rainbow Bowl prpared by Oscar and it was really amazing. The seasoning, sauce and fish he used with the avocado on top with seaweed salad to the side was one of the tastiest creations I've had in a while. The rice underneath was also done right; soft, moist and warm. I don't know what sauce he used that had a little kick, but I can't wait to go back for more. Highly recommend this place, as for me, they're one of the best there.

Joy X.

Yelp
My friend told me that this was the best poke that she's ever had and I could not agree more! I got the hybrid og and it was a little spicy which was amazing! The ingredients were super fresh and toppings blended so well. The added crunch from the cucumbers and flakes put it over the top.

Yelp
This was one of the best Poke Bowls I have had in Miami. Located in 1800-lucky it's definitely worth a try. I was so excited they could make a bowl with zucchini noodles. Since I had never been there before he literally read off every item I could put in my bowl as he moved down the line. The tuna was super fresh. They have a good selection of sauces. I don't have much to add but five stars says it all!

Engels B.

Yelp
First time dining at sushi OG located in Wynwood. This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool. The food was fantastic and no matter what I order I am always delighted with my order. The only bad experience I had was with the pregnant girl server/cashier. I think her name was Amanda, she was very rude to us. Plus she was on her phone for like 10 min and totally ignored us.
google avatar

Ana Cristina P.

Yelp
Poke OG, you're the one. You make mealtime lots of fun. Poke OG, I'm awfully fond of you.... Ok so I kinda ripped that first part from an old song some of you may know... but it doesn't mean my sentiments aren't true. Poke is in my top 3 favorite foods to eat. Mostly guilt free, refreshing, and delicious. Guilt free AND delicious is a rare combination, so I'm always on the hunt for the next great Poke Bowl. I found my latest one here, at Poke OG- smack dab in the middle of 1800 Lucky. Everything is so fresh, beautifully presented, and most importantly- tasty! Staff was friendly and helpful in deciding which options to add to my bowl. Poke OG, you did not disappoint. Thank you for being you.

Yelp
What an interesting spot! Never been to a place where you walk in and its kind of like a fancy cafeteria where you can go to any spot and get a really good dish! The best part is they are located right and center, cant miss them! Everybody working was really kind and I asked somebody for their favorite bowl, which was the Rainbow OG. Salmon and tuna poke, hamachi, sesame seeds, onions, bubu arare and tossed with dynamite aioli on white or brown rice. It was like an explosion of flavor in your mouth! The fish was really fresh and chunky, they also give you a nice size portion so its worth the money! I also asked for a side of eel sauce, they had advised me that it was "their" version of one. Highly recommended, its not sweet and brings a bit of a salty taste to the bowl.

Yelp
This delicious fusion spot is located inside 1800Lucky. They offer amazing #pokebowls with all #glutenfree & #dairyfree options. I ordered the Hybrid OG Salmon, ahi, cucumber, sweet onions, edamame, green onions, jalapeño, fried onions, tossed in spicy OG sauce, over zucchini noodles, w extra sriracha drizzle! Gluten-free/Dairy-free ... I will definitely be back again and gain and again! The seating is first come first serve as it is in the eatery. They are very friendly and the food is absolutely on point ... #boom!

Yelp
My review in rhyme form: the poke was OK. This is one of the stalls in the large 1-800-LUCKY complex, an industrial, Asian-inspired food hall. The staff was very nice and helpful. I got the Rainbow OG, one of their signature bowls, which features tuna, yellowtail, and salmon with a whole lot of crunch and a "spicy" aioli. The fish itself was excellent; plump and fresh, clearly plucked from the Atlantic or Gulf in the not too distant past. The rest of the bowl was just so-so, however. The rice was cold and a little firm, there weren't as many topping options as some other places, and there wasn't enough sauce (which also wasn't spicy at all). It was expensive too for the portion size.

Yelp
Delicious, fresh tasting poke. Some of the most enjoyable poke I've had anywhere. Really enjoyed it and would recommend it highly.
google avatar

Scott L.

Yelp
Stopped at poke og today and I ordered the Rainbow bowl. Not only was the fish exceptionally fresh and delicious but also the ingredients were fresh as well! When I ordered by bowl I asked for a little more spice and it was perfect ! Would definitely recommend because I was full all day! Can't stop thinking about how good the bowl was. Amazing staff and an amazing atmosphere.
google avatar

Yelp
Located inside 1-800 Lucky, Poke OG is a great place to get some poke in Miami. The atmosphere is that of a food court that is very hipster. It's a very refreshing change that you don't see very often in Miami. I ordered the Rainbow OG and was thoroughly satisfied. The fish tasted fresh and the portions are not too small as compared to other poke restaurants.
google avatar

Neil C.

Yelp
One of the better places to eat inside 1-800-LUCKY. I ordered the Rainbow OG Poke Bowl w/Avocado (large). It was huge, and also really good. Get the regular size which is just a little bit smaller and save some room for Taiyaki NYC.

Lauren B.

Yelp
The food is amazing but the owner Andrew is even better! 11/10 for food and service. We will definitely be going back

Zoee T.

Yelp
service was terrible. there was a misunderstanding on our order where they tried to refund and charge again multiple times. the two girls who were doing this both told me different things. they then started to give dirty looks and it was obvious they were talking bad about customers. they were very unhelpful and definitely do not make this restaurant an enjoyable experience. wanted to leave right after my experience with them.

Yelp
Located inside 1-800-Lucky, Poke OG offers up some awesome poke bowls that are fresh and delicious. Especially if you are looking for something light and not greasy or fried, this is the place to go. I had lunch here last weekend and created my own poke bowl with a combo of white rice, greens, tuna, edamame, ginger, seaweed salad, sesame seeds, cucumbers, and eel sauce. Minus not having avocado this time around, my bowl was super yummy. The portion was huge and very filling. I also found their prices to be quite fair. I added a Passion fruit/Guava fruit drink to my order as well. Perfect combination. Aside from the create your own bowl concept, they also offer their signature bowls that are worthwhile as well. Customer service was great, and I will definitely be back. For those that have yet to try them, I highly recommend this vendor.
google avatar

Lynette B.

Yelp
Everytime I stop by 1-800-Lucky determined to try something new, I always end up at Poke OG. It's just so good. My favorite thing about them is that they have several base options including zucchini noodles and kale. You can get a signature bowl or create your own. I always end up getting the Rainbow OG and mix up the base between zucchini noodles and rice. You can also do half and half. The possibilities are endless! And so is my love for this place.
google avatar

Lily F.

Yelp
Poke outside of Hawaii is already a huge risk and puts itself up for hard criticism if it doesnt live up to the standards. This attempt at poke is just not good. I ordered their original tuna poke bowl. This has cubed tuna, white onion, green onion, cucumber and their OG sauce. The sauce is incredibly salty, supposedly oyster sauce based. The ratio of cucumber to tuna was equivalent but I ordered a tuna poke bowl, not a cucumber bowl. The cost is $14. Again, just not good.
google avatar

Grant S.

Yelp
There are a lot of poke shops in Miami, but this one is really excellent and worth the visit! Their zucchini squash base mixes marvelously with the bowl. The fish is fresh, tasty and abundant and for $1 extra you get a healthy scoop of avocado. Fast, tasty and reasonably priced.
google avatar

Alicia N.

Yelp
Got a very fresh and yummy poke bowl here over the weekend. Poke OG is located inside 1800 lucky and is the booth in the middle of the inside area. The bowl was $15 with no additions and a 10% tip. I would make sure you want everything that comes with the menu item you choose and tell the person making your bowl if you want anything excluded right off the bat. The gentleman who made mine went right at it and I didn't get a chance to tell him I didn't want onions. He offered to pick them out for me but honestly it wasn't a big deal to have them in my bowl. I ate it all anyway and it enhanced the flavor :) the fish was fresh and I loved the little sesame seeds on top.
google avatar

Joana K.

Yelp
WOW!!!! This is hands down the BEST poke place in Miami. I've been here for 6 years and have never had such fresh, flavorful, melt in your mouth tuna and salmon. HIGHLY recommend the hybrid bowl with seaweed salad and avocado. If I could give them an extra star for customer service, I would. Our Uber eats driver wasn't moving for a while and the owner offered to drop it off all the way in Brickell for us and even added it some yummy guava juice. Don't walk, run to this yummy spot
google avatar

Christian C.

Yelp
This is one of the best places to eat in 1-800 Lucky. If you get the chance, don't miss it. Also, ask for Maria if you want to get amazing service and attention! Kudos!
google avatar

Daniela M.

Yelp
Good service. Good flavors. They have very exotic options and quality products. We tried onE roll with avocado, salmon, cream cheese, and crab salad on top (forgot name), also lost in transition. The first one was very delicious. Lost in transitIon was enjoyable as well, however, not a fan of the texture of fried quinoa. We will come back :)

Yelp
I have never eaten here. What I wrote before was a mistake! Manager gave me a nice response.
google avatar

Belle A.

Yelp
Got the Rainbow OG bowl here. Topped it with masago and wasabi. It was really good and very filling! It's a little pricey but the portions were pretty big and hey it's Miami. I had a hard time finishing my bowl because it was a lot of food.
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
I'm usually a big poke bowl lover and they say they are from Hawaii. I'm actually from Hawaii so my expectations were set a bit high. I have to give it a 3 1/2 star. I ordered the rainbow OG which consist of ahi, salmon, hamachi, cucumber, sweet onions, green onions, bubu are, tossed in dynamite aioli over white rice. To top it off I added avocado in it. The food was prepared right in front of you and presentation looked great. Service was quick and the wait wasn't too bad. Poke bowl was alright it could have been more flavored but it wasn't bad. Staff was very nice.
google avatar

Divya A.

Yelp
This was a decent place. I was pretty happy they even had vegetarian food on the menu. Pricing was around $10 which was fair. I was pretty disappointed by the lack of flavor. The tofu was so bland, nothing was done to it. Maybe the other veg options would have been better. I added some of the sauces after and it tasted a little better. Service was really fast so that was nice.
google avatar

Luis N.

Yelp
Ok, so I got their original or what the guy said was "the most popular one". It was extremely tasty. I added guac because ...why not? It was given to me quick and easy. At first I didn't think it was enough but the whole thing adds up quick. I think it had tuna and salmon which were cooked perfectly. The guac added some nice flavor and fat so definitely go with that. My only gripe was the price? It is what it is with seafood but it was almost $20 for just myself so it made it tough to say I can eat here all day every day. I ended up not really ordering anything else or a drink because of that. I was staying in that $20 range since there was 3 of us in our party and it was meant to be a "quick bite". However, the flavor and preparation of the food was there so I can't hate on that at all. It's also placed right in the middle so I wonder if that means it's prime real estate? It was the first thing I saw when I walked in. Try it out!
google avatar

Robyn P.

Yelp
I ordered the Truffle OG Bowl.. omg it's delicious!! Full of FLAVOR.. I literally ordered the "recommended" options and I'm glad I did!! I will come back soon!! I love that they have a vegan menu and that on the menu there's recommendations!
google avatar

Miguel G.

Yelp
Our new favorite Poke spot in Miami! We tried the Big Island, Rainbow, Leiala and Top Shelf. All were delicious! Fun ambiance too! We went on Sunday night and enjoyed the DJ, too.
google avatar

Felipe C.

Yelp
This is hands-down the best Poke place in the world! I've worked in fine dining Japanese restaurants for 20 years and I know fresh fish and there's nothing fresher than this place. They have a variety of signature poke bowls to choose from I personally love the rainbow which has tuna salmon yellowtail mix with avocado spicy mayo masago it is to die for! This place is busy 24 seven it is the coolest spot located inside a busy Japanese style food court this is by far the centerpiece of this place. If you're visiting Miami you got to go check out Wynnwood and go eat at Poke inside 1800 Lucky.
google avatar

Sabrina L.

Yelp
I just ordered from Poke OG through Door Dash. I received a call letting me know they were running behind which I appreciated. Then when my order arrived, it was incorrect and only one poke bowl made it here. After the extra wait, i was disappointed that my order was incorrect.
google avatar

Batool H.

Yelp
Very good poke place located in 1-800-LUCKY! They were quick, gave great recommendations, and good portion of everything! Probably the most important is that they were efficient. 1-800-LUCKY can get pretty crowded with long lines. I was gonna go for ramen, but after seeing the long line for ramen, I decided to go with Poke OG and I'm glad I did!
google avatar

Eva U.

Yelp
The staff are very friendly but the food is just bland. Disclaimer- I have only tried the vegan options, at least half of them, and they were underwhelming

Tina T.

Yelp
Excellent food and quick delivery on UberEats (under 20 minutes from time I placed order! Bowl is bigger than expected, everything is super fresh. Tons of fresh ginger! Nice pieces of tuna. Love being able to customize part of my bowl, just wish pineapple was an option. Can't wait to order again!

Yelp
went in person March 31, 2019 over night about 1:30 am after pressure cleaning my store (I'm a General Manager at a business a couple blocks down) in hopes to get some Poke but the girl who works over night caused me to walk out and not order anything at all. Had the audacity to call me picky and told me just take it cause she wanted me to take rice (I'm on a diet where I eat no carbs) I wanted zucchini noodles (which I ALWAYS get) even when I'm not dieting .. it's on the menu .. with the little stuff they have they still run out of things .. it's incredible how crappy the service is !

Yelp
I ordered a Hawaiian OG. Tasted like poke from home on Oahu. Finally found a poke stop that is just as good. I got all the additions to the poke. The masago, seaweed salad, nori, avocado, cucumber, and the sauce on the side. Broke da mouth ono! My search is over. The part owner I talked to was very friendly, made me feel so welcomed and took his time to talk story. Even more in love with the poke when I learned how the company had started and their ties and training to a famous chef in Hawaii. Now I'm not so worried about moving to Miami now that I found this place. He even hooked me up with the kamaaina love. Aloha served here.
