The 15 Best Restaurants In Lake Como - Lake Como - The Infatuation
"Polenta is a quintessential Lake Como dish, and is prepared differently depending on the region you’re in. At this casual polentoteca up in the mountains in Bellagio, the specialty is toc con missultin, a polenta made with chopped shad and traditionally eaten by hand. A cauldron of room-temperature polenta is placed in the middle of the table with long wooden spoons for you to pick out the mush, ball it up with your hands, and enjoy without too much fuss. Although this place is open for dinner, we like coming here for lunch before succumbing to an afternoon nap." - anna rahmanan, bryan kim

Fantastic experience and authentic north Italian cuisine. Great service and food came out fast. They were extremely attentive to a nut allergy and made sure to accommodate us. If you have a car in Bellagio it would be a shame if you didn’t stop in here. We went in at opening without a reservation and had no trouble getting a table for 4. We ordered polenta with mushrooms, polenta with braised beef, gnocchi with a pork cream sauce and a gnocchi with butter and sage all of which tasted exceptional and distinct. We also ordered a tiramisu and gelato which were just as good as our main dishes. There was a stupendous view on top of it all and a really authentic experience.

The meal was absolutely delicious. We loved how welcoming the staff was. They gave us history on the local cuisine, the wine and food prices were very affordable, and the atmosphere was overall really nice. We loved this. We’ve been all over Italy and this was a top dinner for us!

Wonderful little gem we discovered on a biking trip around Bellagio. We thought about having a short coffee brake but ended up having a full lunch experience :) Staff is amazing, food is wonderful - you absolutely have to try their many polenta main dishes and also go for the reinterpreted polenta dessert. Views of lake Como are breathtaking! We will return!

Our favorite experience at entire Lake Como vacation! Little bit disappointed with mass tourism at Bellagio and commercialized food quality. We drove up the hills and fount this amazing place. Entire family is so happy! Fresh air, good views and amazing home made meals!

Wow! What a view and what a menu. The place was absolutely fantastic, service was excellent and we were well attended to. It turned out we were the only English people there and the rest were locals. Probably the best I've eaten in a long time.

The history of the place stands out with the ancient mountain decor. Despite being busy the place is family run and has a homely feel with an extensive menu with warm mountain food to suit the hospitality. There is an open terrace upstairs for people to sit for a cold beer in the sun or a warm downstairs dining area with fantastic service. The rooms are cosy and have one of the most beautiful views from their balconies. Worth every cent. Easy access to Lecco down beautiful winding roads.
