"Polenta is a quintessential Lake Como dish, and is prepared differently depending on the region you’re in. At this casual polentoteca up in the mountains in Bellagio, the specialty is toc con missultin, a polenta made with chopped shad and traditionally eaten by hand. A cauldron of room-temperature polenta is placed in the middle of the table with long wooden spoons for you to pick out the mush, ball it up with your hands, and enjoy without too much fuss. Although this place is open for dinner, we like coming here for lunch before succumbing to an afternoon nap. " - anna rahmanan, bryan kim

We were on vacation in Italy and stopped in to this delightful restaurant between Italian lunch and Italian dinner because we're dumb Americans. The hostess told us the kitchen was closed but they could accommodate us with a "limited" menu. They still were able to make like 90% of the menu for us and everything we had was amazing. Definitely try the polenta and cheese squares (I forget what they're actually called). The staff were so nice and the views from the terrace as well as the dining room are simply breathtaking! 6/5 stars just amazing!

Despite the restaurant’s location (being around 1000 meters in altitude) the view is immaculate and the food is excellent, however it is wise to reserve ahead of time as we got lucky in our booking.

The drive up was amazing....the views from here were spectacular. But even more importantly the food was supremely and utterly delicious 😋 It was so good we ordered twice. Amazing value for the money. If you visit Bellagio, make the effort to take a trip up the mountain and experience "really" exceptional food.

Place is a bit of a drive up the mountain, but the food was good, view amazing and the prices reasonable!! Traditional food, lots of options for polenta dishes, and even some cured meats involving horse and venison!

Such stunning alpine gastronomy in a beautiful setting. Fast service! The braised beef is excellent as is the polenta (and I typically don’t like polenta!)

We had an amazing meal here. The food was excellent and the staff were very accommodating. I left my hat at the restaurant and to my amazement they offered to post it back to me in the uk at their own expense. What lovely people. Thank you
