Adorable restaurant with great food! Been visiting for years always the same. Today I ordered the shrimp in cream…shrimp was huge fresh and many! Price very affordable! Yesterday we celebrated my friend bday she choose to come here thank you Jeff for the service had amazing food wine and time there!!!

Great Colombian food. Everything was so delicious and the portions are just huge! Definitely enough to bring home and have for lunch the next day. Service could be a little better though. Waited never refilled waters and never checked in on us.

Just don’t ask for any avocado on the side, they charge me $7 for 3/4 of an avocado lmao. Other than that great place! My second time there and we definitely coming back.

This place is one of my top 3 to visit. Open late fresh made food, delicious and fast service. This Colombian restaurant is the best in queens. Every time I'm in queens this is favorite place to visit and I always go here to eat. If you really want to try great Colombian food this is the place. I recommend it 1000% . The great thing about is open 24 hours a day.

Fast service, great value tasty Columbian dishes , large portions with awesome prices. Would recommend others to try but hard to find parking. Make sure to try the fresh roast chicken.

My only issue is that the service tends to be very slow....none of that NYC pace is here... lol so if you're ever in a rush ..... just know they won't be...at all... Food delicious... es. the flan

My family and I were very upset and will never come back to a place like this, the pollos Mario manager was very disrespectful all the time when we tried to explain they were selling a seafood casserole for $23 and half the content of the plate was crab imitation also, some plates were cold and salty, my wife told me the bathroom was so dirty. finally I had to pay for something I never ate and they didn't care at all. overall this place sucks.

Came here for the first time with my parents and the food here is pretty good. The rice, beans, tajada, chicharrón are good. My favorite thing that I had was the guayaba shake, that was absolutely delicious. We also really loved the arepa con queso, they put lots of queso on the arepa which I was happy about at first but it was kind of too much after a while so next time I go, I will ask them to put less. Service with our waiter was okay, he was nice but he said like he was in his own world. The guy who picked up the dishes was faster at taking one of our orders than our actual waiter. Overall, it's a good place to bring family and friends.

Delicious Colombian home cooked food. Takes me back to the vacations of my youth in the land of my family. My favorites: Pollo Asado, Pechuga de Pollo Apañada, Bandeja Paisa y Arroz con Frijoles.

Late-night dining at Pollos Mario with three friends - no wait, instant Colombian vibes. Quick service, quick food, and a seafood rice that was an explosion of flavor. The bandeja paisa, a classic, lived up to its reputation. The perfectly cooked medium-rare steak was so good. The lulo smoothie was the only slight letdown, a touch bland. I'd return, but there are other Colombian spots in the area to explore first. Worth a visit for sure though

I love pollo Mario! They have the best Colombian food seasoning I've tried. The ambiance gives very much cultural and they even have an orange tree upstairs. I will keep going here for as long as I can

Un poco decepcionado de una sopa de menudencias donde era la sopa con papás y dos mollejitas, anteriormente compraba aquí y que diferencia a como era antes, de mi parte ya no volveré a pedir mi Tan anhelada sopa de menudencias pues ya no vale la pena, y espero el resto de platos no los Hayan dañado por wue después de tanto tiempo solo me Queda la Decepción

Comida muy buena, servicio muy malo, los meseros solo están chismeando y con el cel entre ellos y abandonan mucho a las meses, solo se te acercan para pedirte que si puedes dejar la propina en cash, "quizá para no repartirla" y se enojan si dejas en tarjeta, esto nos sucedió en el que queda cerca a pecoshitas. Los bussers súper bien, pero los meseros son muy vivos y quieren aprovecharse, muchos salen de su país, pero el país nunca sale de ellos.

Friendly and quick service. All around good food save the salads which are bagged mixed greens and canned vegetables.

I'll never miss an opportunity to grab food in Jackson Heights when I'm in the hood. While there are so many establishments to choose from, I go with consistency when I'm not dining with peeps that know the menu. My family in this case, like what they like so we picked the tried and true options here. The family favorites: creamy anything! On this food run: creamy chicken as an entree (you can order it as a soup/appetizer). And creamy shrimp entrees were the go to. Each entree comes with rice and fries. My only complaint, needs more rice!! Can't let the quart of cream sauce go to waste! (It's ok, we saved it for leftovers). Quick mention on the shrimp, these still had the tail on so be careful when eating it, sauce covers it, just know the tail tip you'll have to get your hands dirty to remove it. I also love grabbing steak when I can. All kinds of entree choices here. Was so tempted to get the carne asada with onions but opted for the grilled steak (plain) with the arepa con queso. I can't pass up the arepa... Only can get it in this hood. I love how the restaurant packaged it into the steak container but separated it with a lid in between. This way it stayed warm until I got it home but not soggy since it wasn't right on top, touching the meat. Great idea! This is why you come here! The small details make all the difference. Side note: my steak was a little tough (as expected since it's so thin and that cut of meat just is). Currently they have outdoor dining with heat lamps and the dining was thoughtfully executed. Each table has it's own overhead heat lamp so no one table gets cold (neither will the food). The tables are also socially distanced so while limited seats, it was done right! Credit card and cash accepted. Call ahead if you can, so you don't have to wait in the cold like I did for the food. After ordering at the register, they had me wait outside for safety/health reasons.

My 2nd time leaving less than 15% for the service in a restaurant,food was really plain,my server was kinda upset or something and that's a shame because I've been in another places from the same franchise and this never happened before!. I might give it another try but for now I can't give you guys more than 3stars sorry!.

Pedi mitad de pollo me cobraron como 1/4 fui a decirles de su ERROR y me hicieron pagar más (la diferencia). Pero igual me dieron un cuarto de pollo. Acabo de verlo y me estafaron. Pésimo servicio incluso deje tips me arrepiento. Tengan cuidado que te pueden estafar.

I have fond memories of this place. My son wants me to mention he had two big bones in his calentado this morning and he kind of freaked with some pork skin. Other than that, everything was pretty good.

DELIVERY-UberEats Solid affordable food served in large portions. Everything was packaged well, and the food arrived hot. I ordered the Bandeja con Pollo Al Carbon-1/4 Rotisserie Chicken Meal, that included a side salad, white rice, fries, and a chicken consomé soup with pieces of offal. In addition to an order of Arroz con Camarones-Rice with Shrimp, which consisted of yellow rice and mixed vegetables that came with a side salad and fries. The fries are notably of the frozen variety. But the chicken was fresh, seasoned well and wasn't dry. A good option to feed a family on a night when you don't feel like cooking.

Food is always good, been here on multiple occasions. Been coning here for years this is my spot for a Colombian restaurant because you can never really go wrong here. Service is always good and fast.

Came here for lunch with my mom and I was so excited! I've been dying to try this place and was finally in the area. However, I was sooo disappointed in the seafood soup I ordered--nothing like other seafood soups I've had. The taste has a weird earthly-crab taste and some of the seafood in it was imitation meat which is not what I expected at all. I think they should definitely make that known. They do however give big portions and most things come with a small side. I tried really hard to eat the soup but I could not get past the weird taste and then when I tried to eat the seafood with the side or rice that the soup comes with, it's mainly imitation meat (which is not my thing and not what I expect in a seafood soup) so all I ate from it was the shrimp. Aside from that, the waitress was friendly and offered us everything we needed without having to ask and as I mentioned before everything is a generously portioned. My mom had the soup of the day (sancocho with oxtail) and she liked hers. I'd go back to try something else but it's a hard pass on the seafood soup unfortunately. Total waste of $28

I've been coming to this location for years and love this chain location the best out of all Pollo Mario's. The food here is so much more well seasoned then a lot of other location i've gone to in the past. Its also a big resteraunt so seating is never a headache at this location. Highly recommend the rotisserie chicken complete with red beans and rice, but do not miss out on other typical dished such as pork cutlet with onions (lomo) or carne asada. The decor is lack-luster but the food is over the the top and consistent. Best thing is that they deliver, so you can eat a great meal at home. The quality and more so "quantity" of food you receive on each entree is amazing. It's a great place for casual dinning. If you seek great tasting and filling food than this is the perfect spot. Hands down real good Colombian food. I couldn't even finish my plate and i had enough leftovers for a second meal at home. Will definitely come again.

I LOVE their food especially the fried red snapper & the garlic shrimp! My favorite margarita is the passion fruit margarita. They always provide great service.

Due to Covit19 we were having outdoors Lunch. The rectangular cubicle has six tables that are enforcing social distance! This is a typical meal from Colombia. The second floor area has no activity from the previous reason.

The food was great. The server was okay, I didn't like that our server didn't speak English. Good thing we came with someone who knows Spanish so she spoke for us. The food was great and very filling.

Good traditional Colombian food. The portions are HUGE and you will definitely need a box to take the rest of the food. The ambience, as much as they wanted to mimic the local native style of Colombia, the creepy tree in the middle of the restaurant was not required. For tall people, you need to scout down when under the tree, lol !! The staff here are very friendly and nice. I had the traditional soup called ajiaco and it was delicious. I always ask for this soup as the contents of this soup is a meal by itself - chicken, potatoes (small yellow potatoes and the regular potatoes), piece of corn all cooked in a nice creamy broth. My partner had the bandeija mario and the portion of food was huge. Definite traditional food and you'll like it.

Everything was cold and no flavor , everything was microwaved , not authentic Colombian food , me and my husband aren't picky eaters but this was really bad , we've been to a lot of restaurant all over the island and this is by far the worst one ever !!!!!!!!

One of my favorite places to go to when I'm around. Always feels like I'm eating my dads cooking. Amazing food and great prices. Place is very traditional and clean. The staff is super nice and always give me direction advice whenever I need it. I recommend the rice with shrimp, literally the best place to eat a plate like that. I can't wait to come back here with my family. We always make the trip even if we aren't from the area!

Unable to give them zero stars so I had to give one. Horrible service and horrible food. I still paid and left tip. Still horrible place, won't ever be back and no one should experience this unprofessionalism.

My favorite columbian food rice beans steak with onions salad large portions prices are great the service is exceptional very fast the rotisserie chicken is very juicy i get that also you order combination meals so thats why the price is right the booths are for 2 or four but they add tables to extend them try it next time your in the area

We really travelled from Jersey City, NJ to eat here. Huge plate, not really a wait time, worth the money, and very clean. The customer service was weird to me though, but I know for a fact it's only cause I don't speak Spanish nor do I look like I speak Spanish. Thank God my bilingual boyfriend was with me and he pretty much took over with communicating with our waitress. I would strongly recommend going to this restaurant with a Spanish speaking person cause you will feel a lot more welcomed if you do so. Regardless, our plates were very overwhelming. We still have leftovers from when we went last week. .

Ordered online and when I did not receive my order after an hour I called to get a status and they said they did not have 2 of the items on my order. They never bothered to call me and let me know, if I had not called then who knows when I would have gotten my food. They said they will send out the other in 6-10 min. Another hour passed and my order still had not arrived. Worst service I have ever received.

I haven't been here for a while, food is great!! That said, judging by the video, they do not assure that their clients are eating in a safe place. Its comforting to know that if i want to go to a restaurant to eat I dont have to worry about my safety. They let they clients attack a couple of gay men while serving food. This place is in the center to a vast variety of bars and clubs including LGBT that make a point to go there after clubbing and drinking as the food is good. Pollos Mario Restaurant never failed you! The portions are big and affordable. There are some locations thoughout Queens, I visited the main one at 82nd street and the experience was good about the food and the quality of service. Colombian famous place in New York City.

Well I've eaten there many a times the food is good. But if I have to watch my back. Can't go further than the food is good.

Overall good food. It's been here for years and I come here once a year. If there was a 3.5 star I think that would be more accurate. Gave it a 4 star since a 3 is too low. Nothing fancy inside with take out side tables and benches.

Come here at least once a month. Love their tostones (double fried green plantains). This last visit I ordered the fried pork chops with tostones, it comes with salad, rice and beans. Humongous serving size. Took half home for another meal. Delicious. I cannot forget about the green sauce, it is so good and fresh that it must be illegal. They should sell it by the gallon. Yummy

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Jackson Heights. I had #18. Arroz con Camarones which was absolutely to die for. The fish was fresh and savory, the breading was just right-not too much or too little, or crumbly at all. The cocktails are something to be admired as well, they have the freshest made frozen passion fruit and strawberry margaritas I have had in NY. God bless the bar tenders. The service there is 2nd to none, everyone is extremely friendly and quick with anything you need, if you need anything, they will probably be around to offer it before you even ask. They are on top of it there. The atmosphere feels warm and inviting compared to the other one in queens which shares the same name. This is the better one to go to. I will most definitely be back and always recommend this to people who are going to NY and spending time in queens.

I got the meal that came with 1/4 of a rotisserie chicken, French fries, rice, salad, & a small chicken soup. Everything was delicious and I got my food within 5 minutes of ordering which I was surprised about. It was most likely because of the time I came which was a Thursday at around 4:30. The restaurant was not too crowded and the servers were very attentive. Definitely will be coming back!

By far my most favorite place to eat . The food is delicious and for what you pay the portion size is huge ! Everything about this restaurant is great . The wait time for your food to come is ridiculously fast it makes you wonder how the hell did they make it that fast ? Yet it taste so fresh. Finding Parking may be a problem since around Roosevelt it's always packed .

This was the first time I ate at this restaurant, and let me say I wasn't the best. At first glance I though this place looked wonderful with a native design. They have a great menu with lots to choose from. I had rice with chicken and salad. In the middle of eating a roach crawled onto the table, I was crazy enough to still sit there and finished my dinner. Now when I was almost done eating I noticed a few bags of trash. I will not be coming back to this restaurant again in the future.

I love coming to this chain but this location served me old chiken from two days ago...Really disapointed and hungry...

Really cool place, good food and prices. You will have to wait to be seated because of the demand but it's worthy. Their dishes are big, I would say enough for two people, but since the food is delicious just don't share .

Came here on a Sunday evening and was not disappointed. To begin, I loved the cheap price food and the large quantity/portion. It was really busy so we had to wait a few minutes for a table.

First off, I recommend Casa Colombia 2-doors down. They are superior to PoMar in many ways, but most of all - the food, the staff, the atmosphere. The one thing Pollos Mario has going for it are indoor pear trees growing of the tiled floor. Miracle of life? or plastic? Red plastic is a big theme here. The red and white plastic bubbles, the booths, the tiled floor... reminds me of the McDonald's from my childhood. Not sure what their specialty is. I recommend getting N/2 dishes, where N = number of diners. This is in high contrast to Thai methodologies of ordering minimum N*3/2. The neighbors across the pear tree ordered a mixed meat plate. It came with as many cuts of meat as fingers us humans have piled nearly 6 inches high on a steaming skillet. That thing was massive. They knew what they were doing... kind of. Not much different from the other Colombian places along the strip. Big pictures on the menus, same dishes, same gringo-strange juxtaposition of meat and fish sauce. A bright atmosphere is the only thing which Casa Colombia can't compete with. But is it a competition? Are they running the same race? Who wants that trophy? X out PoMar and check out CasCol.

Service was horrible the food was fast but what I ordered was not fresh. The waitress gave me a menu to reorder but I did not want to order since the rest of my party already almost finished, but she still charged my for the salad and rice and beans that were left on the table that she did not clear.

Really, really great Colombian food. The steak was cooked perfectly with the seasoning taste, ohh my God, tasty, delicious. I really liked that is not salty like other places. The Arepa de Yuca with cheese inside was delicious. Lots of great seafood dishes like Paella.

The waiters are so bad ! They would forget your order & come back to you with a different plate ! They also take so long just to bring you something ! I waited like 20 min just for a piece of lemon ! Don't recommend it if you hate waiting !!!

Nice staff, quick service, large plates ok prices. Have had better Columbian food though and although the chicken was very tasty it was on the dry side. Very nice staff though.

Came here for my boo's bday lunch. We actually shared one entree and a side order of "arepa" con chorizo and we still couldnt finish it. The reason I quote arepa is because i didnt know it was that little dry tasteless ball of flour. I soon found out that I like the choclo arepa, not that. I dont know how colombians eat it but to each his own. The dish we had ordered was the Bandeja Mario. It was good, large portion. The beans were really good! Everyone always says its hard to find good beans when you eat out. Comes with chicharron, baked chicken, grilled chicken, skirt steak, fries, rice, beans...and some peas and other veggies that we said we didnt want. My bf told her he no peas but she thought we said no beans so I was a little bothered by that. The passion fruit juice was good and that green hot sauce that they keep on the table was delicious. Reasonable priced. I think our bill was about $26 Nothing like Colombian food in Colombia though! But I'd probably visit one of the other Mario's instead next time.

We came here once, three years ago(?) and I hadn't felt like going back since. Last night, I changed my mind. While it's one of many "Pollo Mario" restaurants in the area, this one wins us for being a single block from our door. We shared a platter which I think had Mario in the name (#35 on the menu I think) and it was EASILY enough for us to share AND have some to take home. The steak was soft and good. The pork loin as well was moist. The half chicken was honestly jumping off the bone moist and tender. The cheecharonnes(sp?) were yummy/crunchy/awesome. I'm honestly not sure if you're meant to eat just the nibs or the part they come attached to, but the part I had was delicious. I gave my husband the corn cake and plantain (since I'm not a big fan of those) and we shared the salad starter and the rice/beans plate. They had thousand island dressing already on the table, which is one we like, so the salad was alright; for iceberg salad. (Though I got confused by the salad having a slice of beet and many peas on it.) My husband was a fan of the "very spicy" hot sauce we got when asked. We were seated behind a birthday party that was wrapping up, which means were were RIGHT next to the kitchen door and under a television. I could do without the noise and banging of the kitchen, but the food was worth tolerating it this one time.
