Polo Norte Hialeah

I was recommended the Smoked Chuleta, what a great suggestion. Never had that at a Cuban restaurant, but wow. Service is great, food comes out fast and hot. Come check it out, I need to come back for the ice cream I hear it's good but I'm stuffed from the meal. Thank you very much.

Customer service: 10/10 The staff were very helpful with helping me decide on what to eat. Food: 10/10 I ordered white rice, black beans, grilled chicken, and shrimp pizza. I never had shrimp pizza and it's a must try. The food was full of flavor and the drinks were refreshing. I can't wait to try more items on the menu. Price: affordable and reasonable prices, worth it! Ambiance: not your typical pizza joint. I am very satisfied with the customer service that I received and very much pleased with the food.

Its a nice place to eat, not fancy but nice atmosphere. Clean, food is good, you can even take home but still be full. Icecream is soo good. My mom loves the ham lasagna. I must say this is one of the reasons we come here. All staff was very attentive and nice.

I've been coming here since I was a kid for icecream and pizza and will continue to come whenever I crave Cuban pizza. It's the best out there in my opinion. Specifically this store is my favorite and arguably the best Polo Norte of them all. No contest. Food is always great, service is quick and the workers are efficient and kind. The owner is a sweetheart. Dine in or pick up or delivery. Its always fresh and tasty :)

I have been coming here for over 10 years and it’s one of my favorite places to order from. The food is always delicious and the ice cream is amazing as well! I always get el pollo a la plancha with mash potatoes and I love it. Great service!

Amazing Cuban spot with HUGE portions! Everything tasted amazing! But that lasagna was top tier! I don't know what it was but I just couldn't put my fork down. Our wonderful waitress kept our glasses full, and the food was hot, fresh, and tasty! You will not regret coming here, I can't wait to go back! The restaurant is pretty big and the large windows allow natural lighting to shine through. There's also a bakery located inside that you have to try!

We hadn't visited Polo Norte in over 20 years, and returning brought back many cherished childhood memories. I must say, the food is now even better than we remembered. The service was excellent, and Jennifer, in particular, was fantastic. Her attentive and friendly approach made our experience even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a delightful return to a beloved spot with an impressive upgrade in both food and service.

Very casual lowkey spot for food. The fish and steak here were excellent. A little bit of a language barrier if you don't know Spanish but that didn't stop me from coming back multiple times! But of a lunch rush around noon-1, but worth the wait. Place is clean and service was good.

Great food, service is decent. We stopped by for lunch while in the neighborhood. Started with Mariquitas served with mojo. We asked for additional mojo and was brought some immediately. Masitas de Puerco Frita (fried pork chunks) was delicious. The pieces of pork were tender and moist. Very, very good and would highly recommend. However, it needed a little bit more seasoning but I fixed that by dipping them in mojo. One of the dishes my husband has been searching for is Arroz Imperial. We found it here as one of the Daily Specials. My husband loved it. They're very busy so the attentiveness of the servers is a little spotty but overall, still good service. Food came out quickly despite it being busy.

My family and I have been coming here for more than 20 years. Food has always been good here,only bad thing is the terrible service with new staff. I picked up order and the waitress stacked all of the plates on top of each other, when i got to the car i noticed the food containers got crushed and everything started spilling from the sides of the metal plate (spilling everywhere).After I cleaned up the mess in my car,I go back inside only asking for new bags to take my food since the containers were all filled with spaghetti sauce and the bag was a pool of sauce and instead of apologizing for stacking all of the flexible plates on top of each other and messing up my car (which i would have understood because accidents happen),the employee at the front desk told me with a very rude attitude that it was my fault that happened in front of everyone in the restaurant....terrible customer service,never ordering here again. Mi familia y yo llevamos mas de 20 años comiendo aquí. La comida siempre ha sido buena aquí, lo único malo ahora es el pésimo servicio. Recogí el pedido y la mesera apiló todos los platos uno encima del otro, cuando llegué al automóvil noté que los contenedores se aplastaron y todo comenzó a derramarse por los lados del plato de metal. Después de limpiar el desorden en mi auto, vuelvo a entrar solo pidiendo bolsas nuevas para llevar mi comida ya que los contenedores estaban todos llenos de salsa de espagueti y la bolsa era un charco de salsa y en lugar de disculparse por apilar todos los platos flexibles uno encima del otro y estropear mi auto (lo que habría entendido porque los accidentes ocurren), el señor de la recepción me dijo con una actitud grosera que fue mi culpa lo que sucedió frente a todos en el restaurante ... pésimo servicio al cliente, nunca ordenaré aquí de nuevo .

I love visitIng Pollo Norte Restaurant when I come to Miami. From authentic Cuban food, delicious desserts and good service, this place is a must try. Great ambience. The owner is also very nice.

I'm a proud lover of polo Norte so when I decided to come to a different location other than my usual it wasn't a problem. Let's say that honestly I wish I never came to this location. I arrived to the location and the table was dirty. Second when my cream of cheese soup came to our table the soup was not hot at all. Tasted good but was need even hot.Next my partners sirloin steak came and mind me when I said it was more fat that's meat literally! Last of all was the garlic bread.... stiff as a rock and completely tasteless. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN!

Beware minimum is $10 if you're not paying cash. Ordered the personal pizza which was ready in 15 mins and cost just under $7. More importantly it was delicious. Next time I want to try the spaghetti and ice cream.

Nasty spaghetti. They don't make it the traditional Cuban way. Cheese was completely hard and there was barely any spaghetti sauce. Chicken sandwich was fie tho.

I ordered a large pizza from here for dinner. Not only did I have to wait about 10 minutes in the restaurant, but also the pizza wasn't all that. Unfortunately there aren't any good pizza places that I've found in Hialeah, despite having tried so many. I'd probably just go back to Pa comer pizza, those are pretty good. Sorry Polo Norte!

Have you ever been to a restaurant where the chisme is chosen over the customer and to top it off the service is terrible. And the food is not fresh especially the shrimp pizza. The spaghetti is disgusting and Copa lolita is more like melted Lola. This restaurant is not worth going to.

Went there for the first time and the guy doing the sandwiches clearly had a cold...of course no mask... wearing gloves and with it touching anything and everything.

Great tasting food! This place is a total gem! Authentic Cuban restaurant! We tried the fried pork chops( seasoned to perfection) and the ground beef spaghetti! The spaghetti was so delicious! Customer service was okay but I think it would have been better if we spoke Spanish. I think there was only 2 people on staff that spoke a little English. But no complaints our food came out in a timely fashion and just as we ordered it! Would definitely recommend this spot!

This is the best polo norte location in miami!!! Food is always excellent! We get a pollo milanesa, cheese pizza, and ham spaghetti, prices are great service is great no complaints!!! Parking is a bit of a struggle at this plaza.

When looking for authentic Cuban food, this is a where you would find it! They have different locations around Miami, 4 that come to mind, but after eating at those 4 I have concluded there's nothing like the one on 29th street! I've been visiting this location for years, other than some remodeling and some new faces the staff has remained the same for quite some time. The pan con bistec here is always amazing, but the pizza is really what they're known for. The pan con bistec is deliciously seasoned, comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and papitas! I loveeeee papitas! The pizza is nice and thick, deep pan bake and always cooked to a crispy perfection. My only complaint this week when visiting had to have been the mojito for the mariquitas... It tasted exactly like what the steak was marinated in so probably won't order that again, it's been a whole since my last visit and don't remember it ever tasting that way. This location has been my favorite since I was a little girl and although I don't live in the area, it's worth the drive for me.

Okay, idk if this review fully counts because I was raised in Hialeah and this was our weekend spot! For food and ice cream! Coming here brought a lot of good memories of their delicious pizza and banana split! They lose a star due to the lack of service and we were only one of three tables. Our waters weren't even refilled. Came here with my mom I ordered their grilled chicken with side order of white rice and beans and Marquita's my mom had their ajiaco with tostones. We paid 20 bucks ! The food was delicious brought to us quick and I was so full I didn't eat the rest of the day! The place was super clean they still had those arcade games in the entrance I remember playing when younger. So glad I stopped by! If you are in the area craving Cuban food this is the spot!

Everyone in Hialeah loves Polo Norte for their huge portions of hearty Cuban soul food. What's best about these folks is that they aren't just another Latin diner, they also have a full ice cream section to their restaurant which further encourages you to leave space for dessert. It's a solid spot to cure your Latin food craving and with items on their menu for every picky eater of every age group-it makes it perfect for large groups that need variety. It's very clean inside and you'll constantly see someone brooding and wiping down tables which shows that cleanliness is definitely one of their fortes. They've branched out and opened up several more locations in Miami but being raised in Hialeah gives this spot precedence on my list. Anything you order is easily enough for two people or perfect for a leftover bag. It might not snow in Miami but the North Pole surely exists here in the 305.

Recently, I spent a looooong day working nearby and decided to walk over to Polo Norte for lunch. We ordered 4 personal pizzas and a half dozen garlic rolls. I'm really not a fan of "cuban pizza", but I decided to order mine a little extra cubany (trust me that's a word) and added sweet plantains as a topping. The garlic rolls came out first - nothing fancy, but pretty darn good! Once the pizza arrived, I have to say, mine looked really appetizing and it was. I finished 3/4 of it and gave the rest to someone else who also enjoyed it. I've never thought to put maduros on a pizza until then... not a bad idea! Everyone else was happy with their orders as well. I'll definitely be back again some time for that pizza. Almost forgot! Later, we walked back over for the ice cream. That was also very good. We were able to sample the flavors before buying.

The service was terrible. Our waitress came over completely flustered and didn't even greet us right away. After ordering my father noticed a bug in his water. He didn't make a big fuss, and he even pointed out that maybe it flew in. The waitress took the water away but never bothered to bring a replacement. Two of us got our food, but not my two children, their food came out 10 minutes after mine, and I had to ask my 1 yr old and 6 yr old to patiently wait for their meals. My father ordered an ice cream and found a piece of metal in his ice cream. The waitress shrugged and said it must be from the bowls, offered a replacement ice cream but that was it. After two issues the bill came at full price, even after some of stopped eating after the two issues. No apologies, nothing! Needless to say I won't be back again. Bonus: drunk guy came and told my father he was the most handsome man in the restaurant... Classy people lol

Aside from the fact they have the worst service I've ever seen, they can't even work to make things a bit for sanitary in a time like this. Don't eat here, not worth it. This is completely unacceptable. You Shouldn't have to be eating looking for flies or other insects in your food. 0/5

Service is horrible, everything takes forever and waitress never even checked if we were okay and needed anything else. We had to chase her down every time we needed her. Food is bland and tastes like nothing. This Polo Norte can NOT compre with the quality and deliciousness of the others.

They have terrible customer service. I've given them three opportunities because other locations are good but this please is absolutely the worst restaurant I've been to. The staff is rude and disrespectful atleast the evening staff. Around 930pm. Everyone that answered the phone was rude. They hang up without letting you finish your concerns. Don't even take your concerns down and don't let you talk yo upper management

This place has changed!! it has the most thinnest steaks i ever seen! my fork was litterally thicker , i told them i wanted to speak to owner which was standing around gossiping and she refused to come talk to me and see the steak. it was offensive to serve something sooooo thin. and as if that wasnt enough there was a dead roach on the ice cream stand!!! a roooaaach!!! wtf??!!! horrible!!!! the city should be called, lucky for yelp we have to give atleast one star, they deserve none, oh and goodluck even getting served, waitresses leave u sitting there till u get up and get them plus they skimp ur change so count ur money! after 20 years never again!!!! Ke falta de respeto los bisteks son mas finitos ke el tenedor! Arriba de todo los cochinos tenian una cucaracha donde los helados! Se salvaron ke lo cojieron antes ke pude tirar una foto. This place used to be good many years ago. I went back after many years and I was so disappointed with everything. Very bad customer service. They don't greet you they just bring water and menu and then u have to wait half and hr to take the order then almost 1hr for the food the food was blah the waitress were very slow and not attentive to our needs. I would never go back again . Trust me I am a pizza and Cuban food lover and I've been in many Cuban pizza places and this place sucked big time . If you want to go to the polo norte in Hialeah on 68 st they are the best. This one here is cheap and bad copy.

Just thinking about Polo Norte right now is making my mouth water.. I'm Cuban and raised in Hialeah so i know good Cuban food, and this, is GOOOOOOD Cuban food. The best i've tried. I've had many of their dishes but my two favorites are the pepperoni pizza and the bistec uruguayo. Their pizza is mind blowing. Very fat and soft dough with a lot of cheese. The best part about this pizza is the crust, of lack thereof. It doesn't have much of a crust but the cheese always gets burnt and crusty in the back and it will bring tears to your eyes. Now... for the absolute best Cuban dish i've ever had.. The bistec uruguayo. Oh my god. This is a Polo Norte specialty. It's fried breaded steak stuffed with swiss cheese, ham, chorizo and bacon. Need I say more? I really can't put into words how good this is. Just take my word for it.. although I can't explain it. The serving size is very large, just like every other dish here. I usually order it with white rice and platano maduros. Be warned- If you order this, you will force yourself to finish this plate until you can no longer breathe... this is normal, don't worry.

I've been coming here since this placed open under original ownership. I just had the worst experience in almost 30 years, the delivery took over an hour which sometimes that happens, normal they are busy, food makes up for it. The pizza arrived cold and the ice cream was melted, looked like a soup. I called to let them know. Silvia apparently the one In charge told me to put it in the freezer as the option "no se que hacer" Style response. I asked to speak to the owner and she replied she was trying to give me a solution I explained putting in the freezer is not one. She offered to send the ice cream again, great, 1.5 hours later ice cream still doesn't arrive, I call for info and I'm told delivery is on the way, at this point they are rude on the phone and someone tells "este otra vez" to silvia when she basically stopped answering. Long story short, went to the store to return the ice cream and I'm confronted with a younger bald guy from the back telling me "que no te pongas hablar tanto" trying to tell me they are always full (duh that's why I've been coming here for so long, when you make a mistake you own it and fix it) Additionally I asked for his name, Silvia advised she was not going to give me his name and she's been there for 21 years and never had an issue, at this point I remind her I want the owner to contact me. Then this older guy comes from behind me asking me what the problem is, ends up being Silvia's husband that was trying to intimidate me from the escalation. Bottom line, once a customer that has purchased from you guys since I was a child, has an issue and they treated totally wrong and like it was no problem at all, very disappointed.

I love to come to this restaurant. The food is delicious and the variety of flavors of ice cream is incredible. The place is always clean and the service is fast and courteous. If there is something wrong with the order the owner does whatever it takes to correct the mistake and gives solutions to make the customer happy. I love the soup, it reminds me when i was younger. I hope more people can enjoy a great tasting meal like i do in this place.

Just to be clear, there are two Polo Nortes in Hialeah, this one and the one next to the Palmetto. If you're looking for pizza, spaghetti, or ice cream and want a quick bite then go to this one! But if you're looking for a nicer atmosphere and want a real good dinner then go to the one next to the Palmetto. Since I was a child, I have been coming to this place and I love that it is casual and there's always seating. This might not seem like a big deal to most, but the arcade corner is great for entertaining a little kid and the crane machine actually works! That, and the fact that they sell candy next to the cash register. As far as service goes, this place is meh. It's really all about the food and casual atmosphere. I also like that you can come in, buy your food, and leave in a jiffy. Pizza delivery not too bad.

I have a very soft spot for Polo Norte Pizza. It's Cuban pizza and reminds me of my home country and my family. I love the options and casual environment. The service is that of a mom and pops place. I do love their personal pizzas and ice cream. I tried their creme brûlée and was not impressed but I didn't expect to be either.

The sevice is great the food is delicious, the guava ice cream is to die for .... I highly recommend this to everyone that loves guava it's the best !!! The chorizo pizza as well I love this place been to this one and the one in kendall

Great Food. We go there often mainly for the Cuban Pizza, Spaghetti & Crema de Queso.. YUM. The service is horrible though, which is the only drawback. They seem to always have the same lady serving all the tables and she's always running around looking like a chicken with her head cut off. But if you can over look that, the food is worth it.

Been visiting this location for YEARS when im in Hialeah. Their chicken sandwich is phenomenal. Deliciously seasoned chicken breast on Cuban bread (ask for american cheese!) And mantecado ice cream to finish off an amazingly delicious and reasonably priced meal.... A hidden gem. Trying next the cuban pizza and cuban spaghetti. Everything that comes from the kitchen looks great! Service could be a bit better....call your order in and if its less than $10 have cash!

This is probably the best known casual Cuban pizzaria here in miami the quality of the serves is great..!

My dads friend owns this restaurant so he recommended me to eat here ! The food here was amazing super satisfying definitely will be coming back !

This place is spectacular sadly I can only give them three out of five star due to their terrible service. The waitresses aren't very helpful and sometimes, flat out rude. God forbid you need a drink refill, you'll pass out before they even think to refill your drink. Besides that, their pastas and pizzas are fantastic, anytime you want good old fashion Cuban ice cream come here their sundaes are well worth the wait. Try the Pico Turquino with Caramelo and Mantecado you'll be thanking me later!

This is my second time coming I ordered the fish with tostones...everything was delicious and packed with flavor....and of course you have to have the ice cream so I got pico turquino and that was very good. The only thing is in English it says it's rum cake but it's not rum cake just a regular yellow cake..I will definitely visit again...

This is the only Cuban place that is up to par with my Abuela's cooking. If you come with a big party, be prepared to wait. It does get full on nights and weekends so keep that in mind if you decide to dine with them. They offer take out and delivery which is a great alternative to waiting at the restaurant for a table. The food is exceptional and the prices are more than fair. You can never go wrong with the pizza here! I would also recommend the churrasco if you're very hungry, you'll get a big piece of meat for a great price. If you're a cheese fan, try the crema de queso and experience true deliciousness. Their menu has so much variety that there is something for everyone, including kids. The best part is that the food comes out fairly quickly, even when the place is full. Why four stars and not five? Sometimes the service can be lacking. I don't know how many times I've come with friends and family and the waitress forgets to bring someone's drink. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for some good, authentic and cheap Cuban food.

Love love love this place ! The staff is the best, they actually remember every time I go there. They already know my ice cream order and always welcome me with smiles and a "how have you been?" which makes me feel at home. Now the food, the pizza is amazing! It's not drenched in sauce which I like and the cheese is always stretchy. This is the go to spot

this place is disgusting , if you order delivery and lucky enough to get you food because normally takes them now about 2-3 hrs for delivery the food you get is simply disgusting. i suggest stay away from this place plenty of other better places

I ordered the Napolitana (cheese) pizza and a guava ice cream. I see what all the fuss is about. I decided to play it safe with the pizza. I was impressed so next time I'll try it with some toppings. The guava ice cream was better than I expected. This place has a pretty wide selection for cuban food as well. Lots of unusual pizza toppings and ice cream is a plus...oh and the prices are good too!

Delicious food at a low price. They are best known for their pizza and ice cream but honestly almost everything on their menu is very good. Mejores helados, buenisima comida latina, excellent atencion, y muy Buenos precios para el area de Hialeah.

Seriously, I love the milkshakes from here and the pizza is superb. The actual food is ok standard for Cuban food part (there are better restaurants out there) But the horrible service is what keeps me from coming back here. Always the same sloppy servers talking about the mother in laws, the Grand kids and the bingo slots and the customer is the one that suffers while they continue the "IMPORTANT"conversation at hand. 2 tables in the Restaurant occupied and it took 20 minutes for a checkup on whether I needed anything for my meal or water. This went from a 5 star to what hurts me to say a 1 star.
