The 25 Best Restaurants In Orlando - Orlando - The Infatuation

"You can find everybody from firefighters and city officials to drag queens and DJs at this tiny, art-plastered teahouse. They’re all here to grab a quick lunch or dinner of some super creative sandwiches. Go for options such as the Thanksgiving sandwich complete with turkey, ginger cranberry chutney, and mashed potatoes. Wash it all down with one of their milk teas, like the taro or mango option." - cheryl rodewig, gabe bergado, ryan pfeffer, macy johnson

The 22 Best Restaurants In Orlando 2024 - Orlando - The Infatuation

"You can find everybody from firefighters and city officials to drag queens and DJs at this tiny, art-plastered teahouse. Go for the fusion sandwiches like Asian pulled pork and cranberry ginger chutney on the Fu Man Chu or brisket and blue cheese on the Billy Chang. Add on one of their mix-and-match loose-leaf teas, like chocolate rose and mint earl grey. If you need something stronger, they also serve sake cocktails—we like the Nigori with Vietnamese espresso, plum wine, and cardamom." - Cheryl Rodewig

3.5 stars Finally made it here after driving around with my best friend, we discussed going to Pom Pom's since it had been years since we stopped by the no longer existing location near downtown. Stopped by after a drive down from Casadega and we were starving. After taking a look at the other selections of places to dine while there, I went with the Woody ($17) with a Sprite ($3). The sandwich was delicious with a thick bread which was nicely toasted, filled with pastrami meat. The cold serving of Thousand Island dressing and Southern slaw mixed in with the thinly sliced red onion was a good combination in the sandwich. The selection of sandwiches offered was smaller than what used to be in the old location but that's to be expected, I guess. It's a different time, stuff is more expensive. The service was great and friendly.

5 Stars – So Glad They're Closer Now! I'm beyond thrilled that Pom Poms is now closer to me! Their sandwiches are seriously next level—always packed with meats and loaded with flavor. Each bite has a unique twist that sets them apart from your typical deli. My go-to is The Woody—it hits every single time. If you haven't tried them yet, you're missing out!

I was so excited when Pom Poms re opened in sanford and it DID NOT disappoint!!!! The food was even better than I remember. Henry depot was already my favorite spot in sanford and now even more so. Every sandwich is amazing on here and can’t recommend it enough. I specially love the brisket and thanksgiving one, with special shoutout to grilled cheese too.

I love this place! The peanut noodles are amazing. Every sandwich I've had is unique and flavorful. The desserts and tea are good too! It's great taking advantage of the late weekend hours after the bar or a night out shopping or the theater.

Google
It's one of my favorite sandwiche places. The Thanksgiving sandwiche is a must try. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The dining area is neat and clean, as well as the restroom. They also have some very yummy homemade cookies. I 100% recommend going.

Google
Absolutely love this place! Great atmosphere the two ladies working there that attended me had the best customer service and made me feel so welcomed and were very helpful and knowledgeable in what to offer being this was my 1st time here. Prices are reasonable and so worth it for the food. I got a salami and Ham with arugula melt it was so delicious with this green cilantro sauce and the spicy Mac and cheese is next level with great bold flavors. I will definitely come visit here again and let everyone I know for they can also try this delicious food and experience the great service here!

Had mama Ling Lings Thanksgiving sandwich. Was delicious. The gravy dip made the sandwich. Can't wait to go back and try another sandwich.

Yelp
So ok, I kind of get the two sides of the situation here. The plus: the sandwich IS tasty. The bread - I opted for the pumpernickel - was in a word, sublime. I'd eat a sautéed shoe if it came on that bread. Pretty much all the stars are assigned to that and the year round availability of a Thanksgiving style sandwich. The not so pluses: if you like carbs, this will not be a negative but it's really carb heavy and relatively light on the turkey and the cranberry which was unfortunate. The ratio is a bit off, in my opinion. More turkey and a smidge more of the cranberry (because you need the acid to counter the carbs really) and we'd have a real winner. Why 5 stars then? It is a good sandwich. I may not get it again because I've checked the box but it was nice and the bread was SOOOO good I can mostly forgive the heavy carb loading.

Yelp
As a long time Pom Pom's lover, this was a bit disappointing. Since moving to Sanford, Pom Pom's has cut the menu down, raised prices and no longer serves tea. I asked the woman behind the counter if they had tea and she was so incredibly rude. I ordered a Veggie sandwich and it was fine, nothing special and was almost $20 after tip. It comes with ruffles chips, which was also a disappointment given the sides used to be so good. Ultimately, I don't think Pom Pom's is worth it anymore.

Yelp
I was so excited when I walked in into this cutesy food hall and saw Pom Pom's. It's been years since I'd eaten Mama Ling Ling's, so I knew I had to order it. It was a shock to see that they had raised prices, but who hasn't nowadays? I inquired about the peanut noodles side and they said they didn't have the sides anymore. However, the sandwich did come with a side of bagged chips. The sandwich was as delicious as I remember. Was it pricey? Yes. Would I pay the price again? Yes. The woman working was also friendly and helpful. Good amount of seating and good vibes. I'd visit this food hall again.

Yelp
went to sanford for pom poms it was okay. the sandwich was good, but i am hoping that eventually there will be more options as there used to be at their previous location. the woman working was polite and the food was ready quickly. henry's depot is a nice space with a lot of options and decent amount of seating.

Yelp
GLORY! Mama Ling Ling's Thanksgiving Sandwich is back in my life! When the original Pom Pom's closed I, like many patrons, was totally bummed. But when you're THIS good, you don't stay down for long. Now located in Henry's Depot in Sanford, Pom Pom's is giving us sandwich goodness once again. Mama Ling Ling's is my favorite, but next time (next week) I'm going for the Fu Man Chu. The Summer of Sandwiches has begun, my people! And it's time for you to shake it on over to Pom Pom's! Welcome back!

Yelp
Got sandwiches to go, kinda soggy, bread was meh. YMMV, so don't listen to us. Lively environment, lots of choices, much to explore.
