I was really looking forward to dining here, especially since you’re one of the only places I know that serves a dish with bone marrow, this way. Unfortunately, the overall experience fell short of expectations.
The cocktails were excellent, definitely the highlight of the evening. Presentation across the dishes was also neat and visually appealing, so kudos to the kitchen team for that.
However, the bone marrow dish didn’t quite deliver. I noticed several other tables had ordered it too, so it’s clearly a signature item. Personally, I didn’t feel the beef tartare complemented the marrow well, and the pickled onions seemed a bit out of place.
The corn and shishito pepper dish was overcooked, and the oil used overwhelmed the natural flavours. The mushroom gnocchi had potential, but something about it tasted a bit artificial to me.
As for dessert, I was surprised to find chocolate pieces in the tiramisu, it seemed like an odd addition and took away from the traditional flavour profile.
Service-wise, the hostess was lovely, very warm and attentive. Unfortunately, the rest of the service team seemed somewhat distracted and not especially engaged with the tables.
One more thing to mention: I booked within 24 hours via OpenTable, and the only available options were for the bar or patio. However, when we arrived, we were offered a table inside. It struck me as a little odd, and perhaps worth looking into.
Given how much I was looking forward to this meal, I expected more from the overall experience. I sincerely hope this feedback is helpful.
