I had the pleasure of going to Pookie's Crack Cakes in July while I was home visiting family. The two brothers that work there are delightful. I initially bought an Oreo cake that was delicious! My cousin bought the peach cobbler cake and when I tasted it I knew that I had to come back and get one before I left Chicago. I also tried the lemon cake which was amazing and I'm not even a big fan of lemon cake. I left Chicago with 5 cakes that I bought for myself and friends. They use all natural ingredients which makes their cakes taste amazing! I've never had cakes as good as theirs. They also sell fruit drinks made with all natural ingredients and sweetened with monk fruit. l bought one of each flavor both times that I was there. Pookie's will be a permanent part of my annual trip home to Chicago.

Pookie Crack Cakes, 105 E 47th St. 60653. Well, everyone knows about the lines, the wait bla bla bla. But I just want to tell you that it's worth it!! The place is small but their system of moving things along is great. Friendly service, and the cakes makes you forget about the wait. They are hard to beat.

This is one the hardest places to get the cake you want. I was lucky came on Saturday around 1pm they only had 2 flavors .I got peach cobbler and egg nog. I love the peach cobbler but egg nog was good just not my taste. Hope in the future I can get cookies and cream.

Great customer service the guys at the front was so nice and helpful. The place is nice and clean and service was very fast. 10 out of 10 for me. Because those cakes actually got crack in em how good they taste man. I recommend this cake spot to everybody that want to try it or got a sweet tooth go get it they fire you won’t be disappointed. They also have real lemonades there real fruit juice no sugar added 0 calories Diabetic friendly 10 out of 10 also go get it.

Customer service is great. The peach cobbler is a little over rated. The strawberry lemonade is super super sweet. If you like that type of sweetness then you'll like it. Surprisingly the butter pecan praline was the best. Taste like it came right out of the oven. I can say i got my experience.

This is not a sitdown bakery. There was a bit of a line, but it was totally worth it. It is a quick walk from the green line if you don't drive. The guys behind the counter were awesome. They will tell you which you may like if you can't pick. Try the juices too. They are made with monkfruit instead of sugar. Get you a peach cobbler cake, about $12, and thank me later!

The watermelon green apple juice might be one of the greatest drinks I’ve ever tasted in life and it’s all natural with no added sugar which I love. As for the cake it was really good it was a bit tooo sweet but still very good! I’m definitely going back for the juice!

Ok so as far as my weekday visit (I can only imagine the weekend), it was an "experience." Numbers are given out prior to opening at 11am. After receiving your number, you then get in line before 11 in order of the number received. I arrived at 9:30am. I received my number at 10am. Once I made it in, I received free shots of Lemonade that they have for sale. I tried The Berry Hibiscus and it was good. As for the cakes, The Strawberry Lemonade one (the icing) was soooo sweet. Eh.....The Pineapple Paradise (a popular one) was alright. I think the reviews from folks saying how moist the cakes are is because of the juice the cakes sit in. Nothing made me wanna "slap" someone for being THAT good. I'm glad the business is booming and that I checked it off my list. I say try them at least once for yourself. Good luck! I don't have to go back.
