This review is long over due!
Once we read their reviews, we've enjoyed eating here a number of times. It has become our "go to" breakfast place.
When you first walk in and see, what looks like a full restaurant and stress, the hostess always manages to find you a table. So, your experience begins with positivity. All of their staff is amazing, always polite, cheerful and timely. Shortly after being seated, the "drink" staff will ask you what you'd like to drink and minutes later, you'll have a fresh cup of hot coffee in front of you. They spend the rest of your time there, making sure your coffee cup stays full and hot. Not too long after drinks are served, one of their amazing waitresses comes along and takes your order. Maybe 5-10 minutes later, your hot fresh breakfast is brought to the table by an awesome server. Their food is always sent out exactly like it was ordered (knock on wood), "gravy on the side please, "can I have hash browns instead of fried potatoes", "can I have the King's breakfast, even though it's the weekend", I could go on.
My kids always tell me that when restaurant folks are in training, they should be required to take my order and serve before passing any waitress/server tests
Followed by, "ok Princess" Well...
I generally have your standard breakfast of eggs, bacon, hash browns, toast w jam and a couple of cups of coffee with 5 or 6 creamers, YUM. My Spouse basically ordered the same breakfast, with scrambled eggs and grits. I like my eggs over easy, I've never been served a broken over easy egg, bacon is perfection, always crispy, hash browns are just right, not too soft but not too crispy and toast is always served already buttered. Gotta have toast to sop up those yummy egg yolks!
So if you're ever in Plano and are hungry for breakfast, Poor Richard's is your restaurant. Oh! and bonus, if you sleep in, it's okay. Because they serve breakfast up until 2:30pm, when they close,
