Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen

This is hands-down one of the WORST Popeyes I have ever stepped foot in, and I will never return. I gave this place TWO chances in two days, and both times the food was either cold, old, or both. After a horrible experience the first night, I made the mistake of going back the next day; and unbelievably, the second visit was even worse. I ordered the big box both times. On my second visit, instead of getting a wing and a breast, they slapped two old, cold wings in the box like I wouldn’t notice. The fact that they thought this was acceptable is ridiculous. And to make matters worse, when I reached out to headquarters, their response was pathetic. They acted like serving me cold, leftover wings was completely fine. This review isn’t even covering everything that went wrong, but let me be clear: Do NOT patronize this Popeyes. Save yourself the frustration, because you WILL regret going here.

The drive up should not be allowed to make you pull up. I waited 30 minutes for my chicken sandwich with fries. They brought out someone else's order and I waited another 15 minutes for them to correct it. No apologies just "here".They need training big time.

Ms. Laytoya was beyond rude. She went as far as asking me if I speak English and if I understood what she was saying. She asked me to back up and drive up to the drive threw window again because I was too far. I honestly was pretty close to the window and I am beyond disappointed in her attitude.

I received old chicken that was undercooked and half the amount of tea I paid for. When I tasted the tea it was stale.

This place needs help. Poor manager or supervisor is slammed trying to get orders together and begging her staff to help. Owner of this location needs to step up their game. Literally saw 4 hard working blue collar guys say they don’t have time to wait 20 minutes again for chicken and won’t be back again. Lunch breaks aren’t all day and this isn’t hard work. Just need adequate staff and a system that is efficient to have orders out like it should be. “Fast Food” not a sit down restaurant.

Your night crew doesn't want to do anything. Drive through line around the building and the staff trying to go slow so everyone leaves. Losing money and staff is eating your clock. Sad.

I don't know what has happened to the red beans but they are definitely different. Not as good as they used to be. A lot more bland. Also, they seriously need to bring back the onion rings! They had some of the best onion rings anywhere!

This is One of the worst stores In the area. If it’s not backed up And slow, It’s empty and dirty. In addition, many of the employees here, but not all are absolutely rude. I’ve had to complete DoorDash orders from this store on multiple occasions. Each time no one would acknowledge I was there, while I’m staring at the food just sitting underneath the screen that shows you what to put in the bag and it is never ever in the area for Mobile orders. I literally had to get help from one of the cooks because the woman standing there putting the food together would not acknowledge me even when I kept saying something to her. Every time they do that it affects the delivery drivers because people get quite upset when their food is cold and late, but the store doesn’t have to deal with that until now because I’m definitely reporting it to DoorDash and two the corporate office the owner whatever because this store should not even be allowed To do deliveries at all, and I wish I knew the name specifically of the young woman who look like she might’ve been a manager or something, but I don’t know for sure so that I could be very clear on who the problem was. I think that if people don’t like doing their job and they should probably apply somewhere else or find a different job every time you come in the store you feel like the people who work there hate being there so that says that the team Morales is absolutely in the ground. I don’t know what you need to do to get it together, but you need to make it happen as quickly as possible

Good was great. But why being so disrespectful? Went to drive through, no hello nothing, mic wasn't working very good, so I couldn't here the lady well, but it's not a reason to talk to a customer like that. Then don't look at me to get my card or give it back, just " wait there " no goodbye etc. At least the person that brought me the food was polite and nice.

Why oh why do I even come here! This place never seems to have chicken ready. You Always have to wait. Then they say it'll be out in 2 min yet here we are 10 min later waiting on two legs. I will say that every employee we have come across has been nice though. So there's that. So if you got the time , at least you'll know you're gonna get fresh chicken

Food was outstanding. Staff was great. I see the other reviews. Wow. Almost kept me from going. So so glad I went!!! Thank you!!!

Multiple people talking on the order speaker. Lady taking payment on her cell phone. Cook smoking next to the cars in line. Fries hard and old. Chicken wasn't warm or crispy. Forgot our biscuits. It was 6:30pm and they were not busy so that's not an excuse. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!

The food was amazing I loved it but when I went here the guy told us to back up which to me is weird, we waited for about 5 minutes to get our food and when we got back to our air bnb they forgot our biscuits and our sauce. So that's why I think I give this location a 3 - tourist

Service is horrible. They collect your money at the drive thru window then make you pull up to get you off the timer then you wait an obnoxious amount of time only to be forced to get out of your vehicle to go in and get your order. This has happened the past three times I have visited. I will not be returning.

I asked for my food to be fresh at the speaker, they had me wait an extra 20mins just to still get warm chicken and cold fries. I asked for sauce and never received it in my bag. I will not be coming back and I won't be recommending to anyone !!!

The line is long and the service is terrible. If you can avoid going to this one, please do. It's a waste of your time. I waited 30 minutes to get order and then they want you to back your car up so the time look different.

Don't order pick up. They locked all the doors so I had to wait for an hour in line to get my Uber eats order. Offer services only when you have the staff. Otherwise your manager should log in and disable the damn pickup/delivery services if you cannot offer them. Wasting people's time cuz you don't know how to use the technology your company decides to use for pick up and delivery services

Sat in drive through for 10 min after being told "be right back". Then order pulls up and gets told to pull back bc they're lazy and wanna take their time to make 3 pieces of chicken with 8 people on shift laughing and effin off. Bunch of 30 year olds gonna be there when they 40

I stopped in for lunch and tried the voodoo chicken tenders. I loved the presentation of the tenders and the flavor even better. The voodoo sauce was drizzled on it and I got the voodoo dip on the side too. My cashier was Nshavia who was too sweet. She offered great customer service. I sat down to eat and was further impressed because the lobby was really clean.

The employees are so bad at any Popeyes, but this one has to be the worse. There's six of them working in there when I pulled up this car was waiting the car in front of me because they had that car pull up the car in front of me they had them behind the window so I finally go in and there's five of them in there just talking away. Don't even care about the customers.

It's what I expected on a chicken breast sandwich deep fried without breading: very dry . That's how to define the blackened chicken breast sandwich. Also the difference in the regular and the spicy isn't in the Mayo, but in the chicken blackening seasoning. There is a spicy Mayo available, however.

Since the new update things have improved. Staff was attentive and friendly. My food was fresh and hot. I will be back.

My oh my how I adore thee! I have seriously thought of working there when I was younger just so I can get their recipe. I LOVE their chicken and think it doesn't get any better than this. I love everything they have....the red beans, mashed potatoes, fries, cajun rice, onion rings, coleslaw. IT'S ALL GOOD!!!! One of the only fast food restaurants I yearn for all the time (the other being Cane's)

I give this Popeyes 2 stars because EVERYTIME !!!! I MEAN Literally every time I come to this Popeyes I order a 4 pice chicken with a side of ATTITUDE !!' They just rude they food be fresh tho but them Bald head chicken heads always gotta have an attitude then u got the manger walking about on the phone which is unprofessional the works slamming the window in your face while you talking I have to stay away from this Popeyes cuz ima End up in JAIL

blocked drive thru, had to drive around and find another way in the drive thru. the person at the order-box was either new or incompetent, and i had to repeat and correct almost everything i ordered. when we finally get to the window, we were instructed to back up in the drive thru ... they literally told us to reverse and wait to be called up to pickup food. what sense does that make? they also ended up STILL getting my order wrong when i checked my bag. when i went inside to purchase more red beans & rice, i was told they ran out .. how are you popeyes and run out of this popular side dish? the one that came with my order tasted like bottom of the barrel, scraps mixed with cleaning products. do not recommend this location AT ALL.

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. On May 22, I had a horrible experience at Store #2474 in Kenner, LA. I placed a curbside pickup order at 2:44 pm. No one came to give me my order. I waited for 15 minutes. I then went in the drive-thru to get the food I ordered. The order they gave me was only half-correct. I had only chicken and no sides. My order was missing several sides. I then went in the drive-thru a third time for Popeyes to fix the issue. They told me to drive around to the front door. I did. No one came out to assist me. At this point, it was 3:30. I waited another 15 minutes and left. I also called the location several times. No one answered the phone. After reaching out to Popeyes on social media, they were able to rectify the matter. Stay away. If you must, go to the Williams location.

Food was good. Not too hot. Got the new limited time southern fair chicken tenders. They were very good. Much more meat then the regular tenders.

Omg.... We just pulled up to Popeyes and was greeted by the Smooth Drive thru sounds of Ms. Cynthia. She made everyone in the van want to buy chicken. She got the order down to a T. We quickly drove around to see who was taking our order. Honey just with her working in the store. We will definitely be back because of her. Thanks for wonderful service.

The level of rudeness and disrespect from the employees here today is startling. After waiting for what felt like 20 minutes for my order, I finally gave someone my name and asked if my mine was ready. They snarkily retorted back with, "Well what did you order?" After describing the chicken meal I had purchased, they handed me the bag, which then lead me to explain that I didn't order it to go but would be eating here. One of the employees then rudely responded that it's "to go only," even though there was no signage indicating that customers cannot eat inside, nor was there anything blocking the booths to prevent people from sitting. At the same time, I also noticed another customer near me trying to place an order, handing over a coupon to the employee behind the cash register as she started to pay. The employee gave her an attitude, stating that they were not accepting coupons today. The customer then accurately responded, "I guess this is rip off day." Again, no signage or any indication at all that coupons were not permitted today. To top it off, as we were leaving, an employee announced to incoming customers that they were now closed. Strangely, as those patrons turned to leave, an employee accepted a different customer who was entering, which seemed to be a slap in the face to the other customers who were told to leave. This Popeyes deserves zero stars, and this team needs some serious training on communication, kindness, and basic manners.

If I could rate it 0 stars I would. Every single time I go to store #2474 I always leave extremely unsatisfied! Normally they just take forever in the drive through and I end up waiting 30 minutes for my food, or the employees are super rude. But today I decided to mobile order. I placed my order on my phone at home and waited 15 minutes before driving to the store, so they'd have time to prepare it. I told the woman in drive through I was picking up a mobile order and she asked me to wait in the parking lot. So I did. And I ended up sitting there for AN HOUR watching them bring other people their food and never getting mine... every employee I tried to talk to literally just ignored me and went back inside. I'm 9 months pregnant and y'all know how hot it is so I wasn't too excited to get out my car and stand outside waiting for them to let me in. But I finally got inside and as soon as I said my name and the order I was waiting on, the cashier goes "oh your card didn't go through". I expressed how it was pretty inconsiderate that nobody could come tell me it didn't go through and they just left me sitting out there and I shit you not this chick goes "that's just what happens in drive through". ( it's also important to note that my card DID go through because I saw the charge on my bank account and had to call my bank to get them to remove it!) They didn't say they were sorry for the inconvenience or offer any type of solution, they just didn't gaf at all. This store needs to be shut down or get a whole new staff because I have never experienced such poor customer service and shitty humans in my life.

This was my family's trip to this Popeyes. Well we were here for at least 30 minutes and we only ordered 4 things. My family and I were in a rush and wanted to get a refund.Finally we got our food after the 30 minutes that we waited and I can say it was very good just you need to make the food faster for your customers.After all it was very good and we enjoyed it.

Waited 25 minutes just for them to say that they're only accepting cash. This place is a fucking joke

These workers at the Popeyes were very nice and the place seem to be very clean . They were pretty busy and still were very attentive. I went during a saints game was on and they have TVs but sadly I was on tennis !! What the heck man!!! So that's why I gave 4 stars !

This Popeyes only does drive-through , and they only do one car at a time they do not know how to take multiple orders and the line gets backed up all the way out in the street very very sad to know they got people that cannot use a calculator on the register

Food was tasteful and hot; lady at the window was extra friendly! It really made me feel welcomed in Louisiana! Only issue, I had to wait like 15 minutes for my "fast food". Other than the wait it was overall a great experience!

I made a yelp account just to tell you all how AMAZING this place is. During the Aftermath of Hurricane Ida, I decided to stop here to get some chicken. I was met by a lovely Manager, along with great employees. The Wi-Fi wasn't working at the Popeyes, along with the Card reader. We didn't have enough cash to pay for the meal, so we waited for the card reader to reboot. The manager and the employees were very nice and helpful along the way, and after the Card Reader didn't work a second time, I looked around for cash, and thankfully, I found a $10 bill in my car, and used it to complete my order. Luckily, the employees put the popeyes as cash-only, so this wouldn't happen again. All of the workers were amazing, and that Is why I feel that this Popeyes deserves 5 stars.

Best location to stop at! Very friendly! Food is always right and hot! The older later really gives you the New Orleans welcome feel! Great drive through experience!

Never do curbside pickup!!! They take forever, you're better waiting in line than doing curbside. That was the reason why I chose curbside because the line was so long. My whole lunch break which is an hour was sitting there waiting for my food. I called and they said they were bringing it. It's took 10 minutes for them to bring me my food. Very unprofessional, go to the Popeyes on Williams. This isn't the first time this happened either it was multiple times. I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt and because it's closer to my job but they prove me wrong every time!

Zero stars if I could. Sat in the drive through for over 20 minutes. No sense of urgency. Then At the drive thru window I saw the lady making my food WITHOUT GLOVES. Covid or not this is literally disgusting and completely unsanitary. Asked her to remake my food with gloves on and she looked at me with disgust and was annoyed? And continued to stare me down. Like are you kidding me?

Once in every blue moon you have to treat yourself to Popeyes if your here in New Orleans and this location fries the bird up well, not greasy like many locations. The only issue is the service which is typical for fast food.

If there is an award for consistently providing the worst service, this place would win. I love the food, but they hire the worst staff. Management is terrible, and district managers/corporate have straight up ignored previous complaints. I also type this out waiting in the drive thru for 30 minutes. This is insanely ridiculous. In a world where there is plenty of chicken competition out their, such as Canes, Chick-fil-a, and even Brothers (a gas station FYI) maybe I should give up on Popeyes for good. It's not worth the attitude, hassle, or almost an hour of my time. Because yes, we live in a world now where I'd rather go to a gas station for fried chicken. Because at least there I get my food quickly and get good customer service.

This Popeyes is literally the worst. Employees are extremely rude. They will purposely make you wait extremely long in the drive through when it's close to closing time so they don't have to serve you. They never let you finish ordering before they cut you off and ask is that it. Constant attitude problems. Never ever go to this Popeyes. They need an entire new staff. They don't deserve to work there

The food is good, but be aware that the customer service is the worst in the city. Why do I have to ask you for napkins? Sauces that are supposed to come with the meal? And why are you skimping on the portions??? Stick to the Williams location. Better food, better customer service, and you get what you pay for from them.

Horrible. Was 20 minutes from the time I ordered to the time I got my food. Ordered spicy chicken. After I paid, was told there was a wait for spicy chicken. Waited. When my food came out, I asked if it was spicy. Was told it was. Not spicy. Not even close. Next time I go to the Williams location.

Why do the Popeyes locations in Nola taste so much better than in Socal?! They know how to deep fry the right way--light and crispy yet not oily. Love it!
