awesome crawfish food truck. a lot of seating around even indoor if weather is not good. a playground nearby for the kids and it's also pet friendly. the staffs are super friendly , they came over to check on us many times to make sure we got everything we need. I got the Bayou special which comes with 2lbs crawfish , one corn and one potato. it's crawfish season so the crawfish are big and fresh, i got the 8/10 spicy , it got some kicks but not burning. at the end of the meal my lips are definitely on fire. the crawfish is very flavorful but a bit on the salty side.

Don’t get the Brussels sprouts or pops mushrooms. Not as advertised. Just boiled and sprinkled with spicy Cajun seasoning. Very sad vegetables. Dipping sauce was basically 1000 island.

Second weekend in a row to devour these delicious crawfish. They’re spicy, they’re full of flavor, easy to peel, great price, all around incredible crawfish experience!! (Disclaimer, I grew up in East Texas eating crawfish from Louisiana, lived in Dallas for years and LOVED Nate’s Turbo crawfish) Pop’s has the best in ATX, hands down! Only 4 weekends left to getcha some!!!)

We took 10 lbs of crawfish to go, the service was great, very friendly people. The crawfish were very good and so were the sauces. A good family moment thanks to these wonderful people!

My Louisiana-raised husband claimed this is the best crawfish in Texas. Excellent crawfish, shrimp, dip, and fixings! Very kind people, too.

Ordering 5lbs of crawfish was a fantastic idea. Spice was amazing, taste was amazing!! Staff was also very versed in COVID pandemic handling procedures - great job all around :)

Big crawfish; perfect simple boil. The crawfish is really competitively priced. The seasoning is simple, a bit salty/spicy that complements the various parts of the shellfish; no butter or anything like that. Service is friendly and patient.

Had the “Bayou” special, 2lbs w an ear of corn and one new potato for $20.75. Good sized crawfish seasoned well. Great, friendly service, including a crawfish eating lesson. Only suggestion is more than one each of the potato and corn. Since it is a 2 person meal. Recommend.

Great crawfish!! Best we've had in Austin- so excited it's close to our house! They were a good size and had wonderful flavor. We got 5 pounds of 8/10 spicy and agreed it was a little too spicy for us. Prices are a bit expensive, but that's all crawfish this year, unfortunately. Can't wait to go back!

BEST crawfish in ATX! They get fresh, quality crawfish from south Louisiana delivered each morning. Pop's crew cleans them exceptionally well and cooks them to perfection. They've branded their own seasoning that is delicious and they can increase the spice level if you're feeling it. The owners are wonderful people and super friendly!! They have the perfect spot to enjoy an afternoon pinching tails and drinking cold beers with your friends and family. The location is kid and pet friendly with lots of a available seating.

Friendly family run business. A private lesson for crawfish newbie's, excellent service. We split a "Bayou" special. $20.75 for 2 lbs and one new potato and one small ear of corn. Full bar service in an adjacent building. Local beer and reasonably priced drinks. Nice water bar, self service. All tasty, good beer and fun vibe. My only recommendation would be, for a meal for 2, throw in a couple ears of corn and a couple potatoes. Very slight food cost to make it a better, filling meal for 2. Great, fun spot. Highly recommend.

5/10. Tasted like it was just boiled. The corn was sweet but we got one that was bad. The potato's were just plain no seasoning. We got butter no lemons. It tasted like some of them had a little juice and some were dry like from two different batches. Saw really good reviews so was super excited.

Oh my crawfish!!! Hands down the BEST crawfish in ATX. I have tried many places since moving from New Orleans and thought I found a local favorite years ago until I tried Pops! It was so addictingly delicious that I devoured 6 pounds by myself! The atmosphere is great as well with it being outside of a bar; plenty of tables, cocktails and nothing but good vibes. You won't be left hungry or disappointed.

Best crawfish in Austin, hands down. Spice can be adjusted (we like 8/10), but every level is super flavorful. Sausage is decent, and the corn is fantastic. Potatoes are a bit bland, but that's easily addressed by the sauces they offer.

FINALLY found it!!! Yay! THE BEST CRAWFISH in Austin! No longer need to make the trek up to Big D to get my snobby mudbug fix. And, of course in Austin they're from a food truck. :) Cooked and spiced perfectly and the best customer service. The staff were very happy to delivery to our car for no contact pickup during Covid-19. Crawfish season is of course over; however, as soon as it hits next year you can bet I'll be the first in line! Hands down the best crawfish in ATX. Huge mud bugs, perfect spice, great price (the more you buy, the cheaper they are), quick and friendly service, amazing experience. Great outside seating or you can go in and eat in the bar next door. (If you've been to Nate's in Dallas, this is just as good as Nate's!)

Had to of the best crawfish we've found in Travis County. A bit more pricey compared to what you'd find closer to the ponds. Will be going back soon

Had crawfish, shrimp and brussels sprouts today. I ordered extra spicy crawfish. Not quite to my spice level but they were tasty. I prefer a spice level that makes most cry for their mamas and these weren't it but that's ok. The meat was soft and a bit hard to remove from the shells. They could probably have used an extra minute in the boil but they were FRESH. The shrimp...did not impress me, I'm sad to say. Same with the brussels sprouts but all in all, my meal was a delicious treat and I will probably be back for more in the future! (If you order the extra spicy, wear gloves while eating. Your mouth can handle the spice but your hands cannot. lol )

I've bought live crawfish from every major dealer in town. These were by far the best! By far the least dead and the biggest! I bought two sacks and all my guests were thoroughly impressed! The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about his craft. I will be a repeat costumer for life.

A hidden gem. Great food, reasonable price, and friendly people. They gave us two big crawfish to try so we can decide the spicy level. The food truck is next to a bar and some seating area. Will definitely come back.

Another great addition to the food trucks at Rock House Bar. Walked up to the truck to check out the menu and was greeted by two very friendly ladies inside the truck. ATMOSPHERE: It's located in the little food truck park surrounding Rock House Bar. I love going here because it's a pretty cool vibe in an unsuspecting spot on 620. You can eat your food inside the bar, sit out on the patio, or enjoy the weather by sitting at one of the picnic tables dispersed around the side/back of the bar. PARKING: You can park in one of the spots in front of Rock House Bar (there aren't many), or along the little road that leads to the location that runs parallel to 620. I've never had an issue here. SERVICE: ‍‍ As I mentioned, when I walked up to the truck the ladies inside greeted me with friendly hellos. The lady I gave my order to informed me how long it would take (she said around 3 minutes), and that they would bring my food to our picnic table when it was ready. While we were waiting, they brought over a roll of paper towels and a bucket to dispose of the shells. It actually took 7-8 minutes to get our food, but it was fresh and piping hot! As we got up to leave, we were going to take the bag with the shells to the trash can, but one of the men working there said he would take it for us! FOOD: ‍ I ordered the Pop's Special, which is 2# of crawfish with corn & potato. It was the perfect amount of food for one person. I can eat 3# easy, but this was the perfect amount for me this particular day. I ordered extra corn & potato since my companion wanted to snack on those. Ended up with 2 corn and 3 potatoes. They have several dipping sauces to choose from. I went with Pop's Special sauce, which is mayo-based, peppery, and slightly sweet. It reminded me of a sauce I've had a few places in Louisiana so I really enjoyed it. The crawfish itself was pretty good. Not the best I've had, but I've eaten a lot of crawfish throughout Louisiana. It had a very slight kick to it, but they do give you the option to order extra spicy, which is what I'll probably do next time for a little more flavor. It was cooked very well. The shells peeled off very easily and the meat was the perfect texture, moist and not rubbery. SUMMARY: I will definitely go here again, especially to try it extra spicy. They also offer boiled shrimp which I really want to try.

A perfect meal to end to a great day. Get there early as we made it just in time. Wonderful flavor and most definitely a friendly staff to go along. Highly recommend.

This place had some of the best crawfish I've had in Austin. Crawfish was cooked perfectly every one came out perfectly tender and not one had poop still in it... Somehow. It was also seasoned perfectly! We got the extra spicy and it was good. So good. The food did not take long and the people working there were super nice. Brought our crawfish to us inside the bar we were waiting inside. Apparently people actually eat it in there a lot. We took ours outside :) They came by to check on us a few times while we ate like waiters kind of. Very unique location somewhat near the lake. They have a volleyball court out there and tetherball. And some picnic tables with some trees for shade thankfully There was also some shaved ice place next door. The bar the food truck is parked behind is like a hidden gem. It's like a nice cabin with some couches I think and a nice bar and tvs. They had a couple good craft beers on tap too. Definitely will be going back next crawfish season!

Incredible flavor and decently sized crawfish made our visit here so good, throw in the amazing service and we've got ourselves a new favorite place! We will definitely be frequenting this dining destination going forward and we look forward to trying out their other menu items.

A bit of a drive but worth it. The crawfish were cooked just right, not overcooked and easy to eat. Spice was good base level that was easy to kick up a notch. Appear to be cooked in small enough batches that all is fresh. Good food, friendly service. This is a food truck adjacent to a bar so all the bases were covered. If you like crawfish, these are some of the best I have had in Austin.

I love crawfish and tend to be very picky. Being from Louisiana we eat them quite a bit between December to May every year. After moving here, I knew it may be tough to find spicy, delicious crawfish anywhere close to us. We found Pop's and have been back several times. The food is delicious and the people there are so nice. Definitely a go to if you're a crawfish lover!

If you want REAL Cajun boiled crawfish, Pops is IT. Most everywhere else in Austin boil in plain water and sprinkle seasoning on the outside of the crawfish before it's served. That's NOT Cajun crawfish. Pops does it right. If I'm not boiling my own, I'm only buying Pops crawfish. So good. And have not had a "dead" crawfish yet. Mushrooms are excellent. Great flavor. And NO MSG!

Came back for some more. This is hands down the best boiled crawfish in Central Texas! Perfect seasoning, perfectly boiled. Meat in the tails is perfectly cooked, and the fat is solid and tasty! Before you drop another dollar on crawfish somewhere else in Austin, get over to Pop's.

Tim and DeAnna Wiley are the sweetest people you will ever meet. They serve the BEST crawfish I've ever had!!!! The seasoning is soaked all the way through the meat... they're not shakers, they're soakers. Best seasoned, giant crawfish I've ever tasted. I highly recommend this place & the service is absolutely SUPERB - second to none! Without a doubt, if you haven't stopped and tried this place yet, you're missing out!!! Homestyle Louisiana soaked crawfish in RockHouse's backyard. You will NOT be disappointed.

Brandon and Kate May be the duo but When Deanna and Tim are there the food is great and the service is amazing! Great family owned and operated trailer you've got to have every weekend in the spring.

We just love this family run food truck. Not only are they delightful; but they know what they are doing. We have enjoyed crawfish several times already this year; and just confirmed we will be getting 10lbs to bring home this Easter Sunday! Come on my Cajun friends, let's give this team some love!

I really wanted to like this place, but I won't be going back. On the plus side: 1) The flavor was REALLY good. Wasn't overly spicy and was just good. 2) They price per lb was reasonable and they separated out potatoes and corn and charged separately for them. This is a good thing because you get more crawfish per lb than other boils and you can choose if you are interested in the other stuff. 3) The people working the stand were really nice. Why I won't be going back: 1) The crawfish were not purged/cleaned. There was gunk in every one of them. 2) There was no option for adding andouille even if you wanted to add it 3) Got an order of mushrooms and for $3 I got 8 nickel sized mushrooms. For that size I should have gotten at least 20 for my money. 4) They have no drinks other than water. At least fill up a cooler of soda and make some tea to go with it. Bottom line is I paid $15 (including tip) and had to go somewhere else to finish eating.

Best crawfish I've ever had...do not miss out!!!!! Super friendly, dedicated and knowledgeable owners. The crawfish were HUGE. They only buy 'select' so you won't get any of those baby size crawfish. Can't wait to go back!

FIVE STARS!!! Pops crawfish saved my life! I desperately needed some good food and these friendly, hospitable, and generous folks at pops crawfish did not leave me disappointed. The two star reviewer must not be an experienced crawfish eater, the "gunk" is actually fat and it's meant to be there!! As an experienced exotic sea food eater, I can assure you that Pops Crawfish is an excellent establishment and is worthy of the time and money you spend there. Their nickel sized mushrooms were the perfect amount and size to complement their crawfish. As much as I would've loved to give 5 stars, my phones screen is malfunctioning and won't allow me to press the fifth star :(

This is the first spot we've found that has true, authentic, Lousiana boiled crawfish.The spice is all that you'd expect. They'll even give you extra spice on the side. We've been so disappointed until we found this gem. Perfection. Make the drive. It's a trailer under some twinkle-lighted oaks next to a bar with a full bar and bathrooms. Great casual spot.

Incredible hosts. For a food truck. Very warm. Amazing Boiled Shrimp. And awesome Crawfish Boil. We asked them to make it spicy. And boy did they. Too good!

Stopped in after searching for a crawfish place with buckets, picnic tables, beer and an open seating setting to just enjoy the afternoon...well we found it here at Pops crawfish and so much more! We loved the crawfish, the seasoning, the Brussels sprouts were delicious and perfectly cooked! We will be back to hang out at this little outside niche. The owners and staff were so pleasant and welcoming.

Best seasoned crawfish out there! Finally Austin has a good crawfish place! Wonderful outdoor seating area with a neat bar next door. Terrific spot to grab drinks and crawfish on a nice spring or summer day.

Love this place! The owners/workers are friendly. The location with the bar next door is fantastic. Most importantly the crawfish is delicious! They also serve shrimp and delicious sides.

One of my favorite crawfish places I've had in Austin. Great location behind Rock House Trailer Park bar and friendly service. Loved the seasoned Brussel sprouts as well! Nice place to sit outside and you can grab a drink with your crawfish at the bar.

Best crawfish in town! This is the real deal, on par with best I've had in NOLA. Perfectly spiced, not just on the surface. Soaked through. Fresh crawdads, no mealy or dead ones. Great service. Family run and owned. Season is too short, tho. We wait for them to open every year, and lament closing in early summer.

We ordered six pounds of spicy crawfish to go. Thirty minutes later we were enjoying in the comfort our home. They were juicy and delicious! Most were a good size and even the little ones tasted great and none were mushy. Also highly recommend the Mississippi Comeback sauce!

Really good flavor for "Texas" crawfish. Possibly because there were Louisiana folk cooking them. Very friendly staff. It's a little hard to see as it is tucked behind Rock House Trailer Park bar at 4 points on 620.
