12 Houston Spots Made for Drinking and Golf

"Even seasoned golfers won’t turn their nose at this Tiger Woods-designed putting course in Katy. Popstroke comprises two 18-hole courses that incorporate fairways, bunkers, and rough just like a traditional golf course. The fun doesn’t stop there. The facility is outfitted with a lounge bar area and beer garden with outdoor games, including cornhole, ping pong, and foosball, plus an enclosed playground for children. Guests can lounge and dine at the casual, open-air restaurant with a rooftop bar, or order through an app while on the green. Comfort food classics include street tacos, burgers, sandwiches, nachos, and wraps, but more substantial dishes like its churrasco skirt steak complete with chimichurri and sides of Cuban black beans, rice, and elote await. The rye whiskey-based Tee Off cocktail, made with fresh blackberries and lemonade, or its Irish version, made with orange slices, peach puree, and unsweetened iced tea, is a perfect way to kick off the festivities or opt for something of its wine and beer menu. Keep the kids (and kids at heart) happy at the on-site ice cream parlor, where they can choose between milkshakes and more than 24 flavors of house-made ice cream." - Sean Hekmat

Google
This was my first visit. I was attending my great nephew's 6 year old birthday party. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was something for everyone to enjoy. There's a covered playground for kids, a huge variety of adult beverages and food choices. The golf course is wonderful. The facility was clean, the service was excellent, and most of all my nephew enjoyed his celebration!

Santiago Nales

Google
The atmosphere is great and the course itself is surprisingly challenging and very well maintained. The whole concept is solid, a fun place to hang out, play some mini golf, and have a good time. Now, the bar service… not great. This isn’t the first time I’ve had a bad experience. Two separate visits, and both times I got rude staff at the bar. They give you attitude and act like they don’t want to be there. Not cool. To be fair, the manager was super attentive when I brought it up and offered a discount, which I appreciated, but honestly, it felt like the bare minimum after such poor service. That said, it’s still a fun place, not expensive, and worth going. I’ve had two bad experiences at the bar, and yet I still keep coming back, that should tell you how good the rest of the place is.

Google
It was very packed but my husband and I enjoyed ourselves. We went as a family and had 6 kids. The kids did not enjoy it at all. The wait for the next hole was the biggest issue. You could order drinks and they bring them out to you but you can't have an open tab, you have to keep making separate charges and I'm a tipper so it was multiple tips. They have boozy ice cream drinks which were so freaking good. If I go back, I'm going without the kids and at a later time because the crowds at 2pm were horrendous. They have plenty of food options and ping pong but can not review that as we did not eat anything there. I've heard the food is delicious though.

Google
Great experience! We went for my son's birthday and he and his friends loved it. We had 11 total in our group and all of the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good and reasonably priced.

Paul Mullarkey

Google
We took a 45 uber to get here, it was 1000% worth the trip. Visit here if you're in the area, staff are great and the 2 courses are fun. Great for couples, family and first dates.

Google
This place is so fun! Very family friendly…and so much more than putt putt! Ping pong, corn hole and a playground! My nephew had a blast! The ahi tuna nachos are to die for! Also walking out the door to finish with off with ice cream gave it so many stars from my 5 year old date! (My nephew) 😁

Google
Awesome place to practice minigolf... If only they would have told us the time at which the kitchen closes, as we were having so much fun that we lost track of time and we end up having to dine somewhere else! :-(

Rafael King

Google
Great spot for a fun day or night out. Mini golf, cornhole, and ping pong are available to enjoy. Pay once, and play as long as you would like. Courses designed by pro golfer Tiger Woods and some good cocktails what could go wrong! Nothing! We had a blast.

Yelp
This Popstroke location feels like such a hidden gem. We went last night as a group of 6 and seriously had such a wonderful time. There are 2 courses - a black and a red course. The black was the easier of the two, but both were fun to play. The palm trees and real plants give the course such a beautiful, resort-style feel. Their food was surprisingly very good! My experience in the past with other recreational venues was that the food was lack luster, but everything we tried here was very good. The putt putt shrimp are a must! The breading was fabulous and the dipping sauce with it was good. The service was attentive, timely, and friendly. I highly recommend Popstroke for a fun date night, a fun family outing, or even corporate social event.

Yelp
Amazing place to go with lots of friends or family and have a great time! It's a very large outdoor mini-golf and they have different options that you can choose from. Whether you're there for only a few holes to the whole night. They also have a two-story lounge area with lots of indoor/outdoor activities like foosball and table tennis. The service was great when paying for golf. They explained how to works and they sat our very large party by the bar. Now the bartenders I understand were really busy but they don't even make eye contact with you. You have to flag them down. If you're on the course there are various places the server can deliver the drinks to you which is pretty awesome. Food and drinks were not too pricey either. Food was actually pretty good. We especially loved how this place has an ice cream bar. Will be coming back when it's still cool enough outside to enjoy.

Yelp
I can only speak on the putting experience & service, not the food as I only had their Bluebell ice cream cone. This establishment is well kept. It still looks new. It was $25 for the day pass and they let us keep our golf ball for a souvenir. We enjoyed our time out on the grounds. It was a nice cloudy day so not too hot at all. The holes on the black route were considered the easy level and red was the hard level. We finished the black but not the red due to the rain. The venue is spacious and seems to be a great option for hosting events. They also have a ping pong table and bean bag toss. Plenty of tvs around and a bar. I would definitely recommend checking it out.

Yelp
We went on a Saturday night, and it took about 1.5 hours to play 18 holes. There was a lot of waiting, so if you're okay with that, then this was okay. There was not a lot of space for people to wait for each hole, so it was hard to play at times. We paid $30, which I feel like is on par for other putt putt places here. They had water stations around to help combat the heat. There was also a free topo chico event so we got free drinks and flowers.

Yelp
Now that the initial opening crowds have died down I've really come to like this place! You can have fun with family while playing on a course that fuses Slick Rock terrain that's been carpeted and made ready for putting. If you're not sure what slick rock means you can google Moab, UT. By 10 am we ordered our first cocktails. By noon + 5 min we were eating burgers on the terrace. The plan is to take on the second course, red, after lunch. Yea, the courses are broken into a 18 hole "black" course rated easy and then an 18 hole "red" course rated hard. It's all easy but after a few party drinks the holes get more fun!
google avatar

Neha S.

Yelp
It's $30 for the entire day, which I think is pretty solid because you can play the 2 18-hole courses as many times as you want. They were also giving out free topo chico when I went, and if you finished your bottles by 9 pm, there was a flower stand where you could pick out flowers, and they would put them in the bottle for you and let you pick charms out too. Even though it was super busy when we went, the lines were moving pretty fast for both courses, and it didn't feel like we were waiting for that long. I had a lot of fun and would definitely go again. I would recommend going at night time when the sun has set though because it must have been 90+ degrees during the day, and none of the courses are shaded.

Yelp
As soon as we walked in, we were greeted right away. It was drizzling, so we weren't sure about playing, but the lady suggested we wait it out with drinks, which we did. Once the rain let up, we paid for our game and even bought some colorful TaylorMade golf balls. We played both the easy (black) and challenging (red) courses twice, and all of us managed to get hole-in-ones, which was super exciting. The course was very clean, and they had stands to hang your purses and set down your drinks. They also had QR codes to order more drinks, and the server would bring them to your hole, making it super convenient so we didn't have to pause our game. I can't wait to visit the San Antonio location soon!

Yelp
I'm sure I have been here like 5 times in last last 3 months! My husband and I bring the kids and every time we visit it gets more fun. For some reason, my kids HAVE to use the white artificial turf area as a slide before they actually hit the ball at every hole. its a ritual at this point. They have ice cream, nachos, tvs, wings, table tennis, alcohol, obviously golf and a playground that we played TAG on! LOL!! It was such a fun night. Typically when we visit the service is always pretty good. I haven't run into any members of the staff that were awful OR overly amazing and I'm ok with that. PopStroke is cute for a date night if you're a new, young or seasoned couple and also. . .kids love it. It is clean and during the time that we were there, I saw people cleaning up throughout the night.

Dena B.

Yelp
This place is a blast. Really set up for adults to enjoy each other's company not really a kid place to go. Drinking is encouraged. lol we had so much fun. It was nice to have a place to celebrate that was adult oriented. Food was good drinks were better. Great time. Staff was amazing. Great concept.

Yelp
We always have so much fun when going to play a round or two at PopStroke. Very family friendly & the courses are easy for all ages or experience. Besides golf they have other fun activities to play from ping pong & corn hole. The playground is fun for the kids and seating close enough to watch from the bar area. It's nice they have water stations on the course & drinks coming fairly quickly when you order.
google avatar

Daniel G.

Yelp
Great for the kids and food was okay. Sat at bar and bartenders said I had to use the scanner to order. I saw other people ordering from bartenders directly after and we never once conversed with the 3 bartenders. All online, no human conversation and a bit dissappointed as they should offer both digital ordering for introverts but also have the attraction of mingling with bartenders as a home feel bar. Felt uncomfortable and almost like i was not welcome. Not going back....was not comfortable for myself nor my guest and even though I asked to order direct from bartenders they said no I have to order from scan. No tip here...and I always tip 30 to 40 percent. No personality or charm for parents, adults or someone by themselves can't enjoy. Go somewhere else or stay at home. Horrible. For the kids great...just take them somewhere else though. Not worth it.

Yelp
We went at night right before close so it wasn't crazy busy! It flowed very nicely. The food wasn't open but the food, from other reviews, didn't look good so that was fine! I was excited to order a beer to be delivered to me on the course, but it never came so I went to the bar to get it. That was kinda lame, but they close soon and the bartenders were still nice so it was okay. They have late night deals for cheaper beer which was great! We played the red course. I enjoyed the course, it was well kept! However, I do wish they had more interesting holes. There was some curves but nothing really crazy. I expected more from this place. Maybe the black course is better.. unsure though. I want to come back earlier in the day and be served while playing! The music they were playing throughout was fun! Overall we had a lot of fun! Hopefully next time it will be better service!
google avatar

Brandye C.

Yelp
If you like your drinks strong, go upstairs and ask for Jaden. Wowzah! Took the bride to be here for drinks and putt putt. We didnt even get down to play gold. Haha! We're either old and cant hang anymore or the drinks were just that good. I think it was both.
google avatar

Darris J.

Yelp
The good: it looks nice and it's clean. The staff is cheerful and helpful. The outfit seems fairly well organized as well The bad: The drinks. They are horrid, they use stuff in the well that even your local VFW would turn their nose to and the "premium" is what the local VFW serves. The execution of the mixed drinks is bad as well, bartenders consulting the internet for classics like a whiskey smash or a side car. I also witness the sin of mixing a pour of new bottle of wine with an old...bleh The food is mid, and in the Gen x definition sense of the word...middling.
google avatar

Yelp
$25 a person- great fun and 2 courses (easy and hard). I took my 13-year-old son and we had a great time together. It is outdoors in the open and the bar and Restaurant face the putt putt green and there was a lot of space. NFL was hosting an event that day and even still, it was not too crowded on the green. People are pretty respectful of your space and we had a lot of fun! It's right next to Home run Dugout in Katy!

Yelp
KATY, TX 77449 / MINI GOLF / 07-20-24 / ALL DAY PASS, party of 4 +All of the staff members were nice and helpful. -The mobile app does not allow you to purchase Child Passes, Senior Passes, or Daily Special Passes. -The parking is limited, depending on the hour, because of the popularity across Katy Asia Town businesses. -The courses lack shade, so make sure you bring a hat and sunscreen. -If the courses had misting or large fans, that would be cool.
google avatar

DeHorne S.

Yelp
Overall good place to just hang for some good putt putting. We went on a complimentary ticket for two guests. Glad we got to experience it for free since the per person for unlimited play was $25-$30 bucks and I would never pay that much. It was a weekday night at 8 pm so there literally were only a handful of guest and most 36+ holes wide open. I appreciate the course as its not too whimsical or have ridiculous obstacles like other putt putt courses. However, most all of the holes are pretty similar and redundant. I can see why going in the summer or when there's just a lot of people around would be annoying to play. Especially during peak hours, of waiting for people and also the heat will aggravate everyone. My experience at PopStroke was a pretty positive one. But don't bet on me coming back, the price is pretty high for putt putt and I wouldn't go when theres too many folks around.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice QR code to tab system that tracks directly to your table or the hole you're at. It is a tad pricey we had a $100 gift card and with 2 adults, 2 kids we still ended up paying $3 out of pocket. You eat here a 20% gratuity is already added linking your phone to your card they have on file. It is unlimited play between 2 paths of 18 holes. Recommend taking the "harder" red side or skipping if you're just there for the vibes and food. Full bar and second floor bar as well, playground to the side of one bar with high top tables if you have kids and adults mixed for easy spotting. The average meal based on what I ordered was about $17-25 depending what you order. Salad and non fry based options. I didn't ask about membership or military pricing. Parking is crowded even for a Sunday so roam around. I'd be back this is sort of a decent all in one date type of place for young and old with walking distance to Katy Asia town.
google avatar

Taylor H.

Yelp
First let me say this place is very impressive! It has two courses, one that is easier and one for more of a challenge. The design is beautiful and family friendly. The only thing is it's all outside, everything besides the main entrance is outside. With that being said we were covered in sweat and wished we had waited until winter to try this place lol. The pass to play is good for the whole day so you can take a break for food and drinks whenever you like! Food is what you would expect as well as prices, we had the nachos which was plenty to share. We will definitely be back in December!
google avatar

Anne Marie O.

Yelp
Food was plentiful and tasty. Service members were kind and helpful. The green and restaurant areas were clean and maintained. Prices are a bit high. Definitely just a "treat" spot. Only downside were the drinks as they rated a bit watered down.
google avatar

Tara W.

Yelp
My favorite hangout place here in Houston! I love to go here at least once a week with my friends and family! We always have so much fun either drinking or waiting lol. So as you enter you check in and pick your club and once checked in you go inside and they have two floors seating areas which are spacious. They are fast and friendly in services and they are pretty clean. I have tried their cocktails and I love them!! The price per person is average and worth the time spend here either having fun with friends or actually learning. I just wish they had more water station in the summer time as it gets hot and you keep walking back to grab water.
google avatar

Brittany B.

Yelp
The concept is strong, but the execution leaves a bit to be desired. Let's start here, what makes putt putt fun? For golf enthusiasts- simulating a real life putting experience, or the opposite, playing around in the most outrageous, unrealistic scenarios known to man without the pressure of perfection. For kiddos- Bonding time with loved ones hitting a brightly colored ball in themed, unrealistic, moviesetesque holes (I mean where else are you tasked to use a stick to hit a ball through a windmill, to a trapped door and around a loopty loop)? For all- a comfortable possibly mildly competitive excuse to bond! Here's why this experience fell short for me personally: *the greens are too smooth for a golfer attempting to simulate their Tiger Woods putting fantasy. *the greens lack all of the fun, impossible dodads and tchotchkes that kiddos and grown kids love. *the heat really humbles you! They do have complimentary cold water and ice water golf towels, but the course is entirely outdoors, and seemingly open year round. On the plus side, they let you keep your ball, and if you're unbothered by the items above, this IS still a great place to bond over a fun activity. Although they have it in house, I'd highly recommend grabbing food from one of the many decorated nearby Katy restaurants once you've worked up an appetite! Happy putting!
google avatar

Lakeisha M.

Yelp
This place has the potential to be great, and can be if a few logistical things are implemented. They should limit the amount of people per hour, to prevent long wait times at holes. They should also limit group sizes, as larger groups tend to need more time. I love the souvenir, and hope to come back when changes are put in place.
google avatar

Nicki M.

Yelp
Definitely go on a weekday! It wasn't overly crowded and you could sit and enjoy dinner outside as well as a nice round of putt putt. The food was good, not the best I've ever had but good. The course was really nice and taken care of. I enjoyed this place and will be back.
google avatar

Todd M.

Yelp
Good for adults who can eat, drink and socialize while their kids run around and play. After enough time and or drinks, the adults can make their rounds around the course. The other group who might like this place are teenagers on a date. The course isnt as fun as a traditional mini putt putt course with all the traps and puzzles but its clean and functional. Everything is artifical turf including the traps. Food is basically bar food. The buffalo chicken dip was probably my favorite out of what I tried. Beer selection was basically all your main stream beers with little to no craft. As others mentioned, there is no shade or cover on the course which makes this better at night or when weather is good. The upstairs bar looked inviting and would probably be where I would hang out but I didnt get to try it. Service was ok. I would go back.
google avatar

Calvin D.

Yelp
Very cute place to go on a date or as a family bonding time. $25 for all day and you can leave and come back as long as you have your receipt. Very kid friendly in here. Will definitely be coming back to have some fun

Yelp
Great service, servers were attentive. Miranda helped up throughout our dining experience. Thank you !! Drinks on happy hour are affordable and DELICIOUS!

Yelp
3.5 First off, service is excellent. From getting greeted as soon as we walked in, to the ladies at the bar telling me about service options there (through app or at the bar). The price for all day play was $25, we were told we could literally stay as long as we wanted to or can leave and come back. Just to hold on to our receipt to show when we come back. BUT the 2 courses aren't that unique. Like I'm sorry but there are more unique holes at Mary Jo Peckham park and that's completely free. Few barely curved, most quite frankly were straight with little hills throughout. I went with my boyfriend for valentines day, and I always have the best time with him. So I don't know if I would've had as much fun with just anyone based on how this place is. We made the best of it. If you've never gone mini golfing then this is a great option in regards to having 36 holes. Or if you are going with a group that wants a more upscale option since the place is well kept and organized and has food/drink options. So the price on top of a regular mini golf place is why i take away 2 stars when in reality I only want to take away 1.5. But I just can't give this place a full 4. Would I go back? For half the price yes, but I wouldn't want anyone to pay $25+ for me again. If anything I think they should introduce a cheaper option for a shorter play time. You do get to keep your golf ball which is cute. This doesn't affect my rating but want to mention it, the app does not show all the drink options if you wanted to order through it. Cocktails aren't available through the app, so we had to go to the bar.
google avatar

Jennifer O.

Yelp
Such a fun place to come for date night or to bring the kids during the day! Also nice for couples with kids to come and be able to hang out while the kids play together. You can play all day for $25 or $30 depending on the day you go. Two courses and lots of games for the kids to play and a playground. Be prepared to wait in line for the holes if you go at a popular time. The food could be better for the price but can't expect much from a putt putt place on food! The pretzel and queso was good for a bar type appetizer.
google avatar

Shaquon S.

Yelp
First time here and we had a great time. I love the day pass included both courses and we didn't have to pay separate prices. You can order drinks at the bar or along the course, and close your tab on your phone without having to wait. I didn't find much difference in the easy or hard course. Most of the holes were straight shots with a few bumps and hills added. It would be a nice place to just come hang out and watch a game though since they have multiple bars, seating and games to play.
google avatar

Katherine M.

Yelp
So much fun!!! The course is beautiful. There's a restaurant attached with a delicious menu. You can't make a tee time, so if the line is longer you can grab a bite or drink. You can also order drinks on the green too. I had a lot of fun and would definitely recommend for a fun day out!
google avatar

Thuy P.

Yelp
Fun place to play some mini golf but don't know how it will be in the heat of the summer in Houston. No shade and it's an outdoor play so I think a lot of people won't be able to make it. The place is not as big as I thought but they were able to put in 2x18 holes court. It doesn't have time limit but since they're r people behind you waiting for their turn too so it depends how fast or slow the people in front of you playing. Price range is $25/person so it's a bit pricey . I didn't eat so can't review on the food. Bcoz Asian Town is right next to it so plenty of restaurants options close by to choose.

Yelp
Issa vibe for the burbs, BUT sadly I cannot say I'll be back for the food, drinks or service! The whole operation seems unorganized at the moment (they recently opened). When I first arrived around 1pm, they said 45-50 minutes for our group of 12. After 2pm, the hostesses just asked if we'd like to just sit on the high tops. At this point, we just wanted to be seated. While waiting, some of us ordered milk shakes. Those didn't arrive until 2:52pm. Well over an hour! It took forever to get a bartender's attention when we sat at the bar waiting for our table. When we were seated we asked for sharing plates and never got those either... I completely understand the delay, but the food and drinks didn't even justify the wait. The Tee Off - This cocktail had no real flavor besides whiskey and water. Bland. Couldn't taste the blackberries. Queso - Salty Wings - Salty Tuna Nachos - Most decent dish but the poor fish was butchered all the wrong ways. All the food came out cold. While it's "bar food" I expect much more from Tiger Woods' chain. I've had better food at Applebee's. We didn't even bother putting because the line to pay for that was super long out the door and the holes had a ton of people waiting at each one. There doesn't seem to be an effective system in place to handle overcrowding, yet. Glass half full, and hopefully management can implement a better way to handle current hiccups. PS- Parking is a disaster.

Yelp
Absolutely horrid. This place looks beautiful and exciting from the outside, but once you get in, it is a completely different story. There is no limit to the number of people who can play/be on the course, which is a huge implication. You will find yourself waiting in line to get ON the course, and once you start playing you still have to wait on the groups ahead of you to move up so you can progress. The sheer volume of people trying to putt ensures that your wait time is maximized, and your play time is minimized. Bottom line: Don't go on a weekend, it's PACKED, with long waits, and is practically a free-for-all. Now, this place also doubles as a beer garden. PopStroke offers a full bar and food options as well. There are 3 bars: two downstairs, one upstairs and tables for the general dining surround the bars. Great concept, its outdoors, and shaded, very bright, open, and welcoming. However, my impression was soured quickly due to disorganization. The wait time for the 1st floor dining area was long, so I went upstairs to see if the wait was shorter. It looked pretty empty, so I confirmed with a server to see if we could sit upstairs instead to which she insisted it was fine. I went back downstairs to let the hostess know, and she denied us because apparently there was an event going on... when it was empty. Little bit of a communication issue between the staff. We stayed downstairs to wait for our table and ordered some drinks at the bar for the meantime. We spent 20 minutes at the bar before anyone acknowledged us. When we finally got the chance to order, we got 4 cocktails and 3 milkshakes. Once again, another waiting game. It took 40 minutes for 4 Tee Off's, and a whopping 1.5 hours before we got all of the milkshakes. Worst part of it all, nothing was worth the wait. The Tea Off was bland, lacking in overall flavor, and the milkshakes, although pretty, were nothing out of the ordinary. Luckily, once we got sat at a table, service started to move a little faster. Starving, we ordered practically half the menu, and nothing really wow'ed us. Most of the food, mainly anything with cheese, was too salty. The wings and Ahi tuna nachos were probably the best things we ordered, but everything else was quite underwhelming. I have mixed feelings about the service. There was a lack of communication between the upstairs and downstairs workers, the bartender took a while to acknowledge us or even look our way, I thought our food runner was curt with us as well. Thank goodness for our actual server though, she was slammed, but did such a good job being attentive and addressing our concerns. Overall, my experience was a huge disappointment. While it has a lot of potential, there were too many issues with waiting, organization, and food to make it an enjoyable experience.

Yelp
The line was out of the door the night we went. When we got to the counter, we were able to play at a flat rate for an unlimited amount of rounds. And in the end we were given our ball to keep. The entire course is outdoors and offers two different course options for putting. We decided to eat before we started. We quickly learned that service was only available through downloading an app and order in online. Food and drinks were deliver to the table based on the QR code at the specific table. The food was average at best, I'd recommend trying the local restaurants directly across the parking lot for a great meal. Once we began our putting course, we had to wait at about half of the different holes because it was pretty crowded. The positive was that it was a warm evening, and not hot, so it was bearable to play outdoors. I'm not sure how fun it would be as a date location during a hot day or even a hot evening. Overall, it was a different and fun experience. We saw plenty of families with younger children playing, as well as couples, and friends hanging out. The vibe in the evening was upbeat with music playing, some holes lit up with changing colored lights, and there were plenty of areas with bar space and seating with sports games playing.

Yelp
Decided to come and try out this new place over in Katy, and I'm glad that we did! It was a great day to be outside and enjoy some fun in the sun! Getting there was pretty easy, but parking I must say is the only thing I didn't love about this place. It was pretty packed so looking for parking was not the easiest, so people just made up places to park, which did the trick. Also, I'd recommend if lot is full, park across at whiskey cakes back parking lot and then walk over. The atmosphere of this place was super lively and great for a friends day, date night or family time! When you walk in, it's already bustling, but they have great music playing which distracts from the wait time. Next to the putt putt counter is a well stocked ice cream shop with tons of flavors! As you head past the ice cream, into the restaurant you go. I was a bit confused where to go, when I initially entered Popstroke, it was from the back of the building, so I missed the host stand, when I came in. Anywho, there's tons of tables in two separate areas and also two bars with lots of bar space. There's also a dining rooftop, but it was closed for an event. We didn't haven't to wait long for our table, and got a great seat to where we could see pretty much all the holes, and they also have an area for games like ping pong, foosball and cornhole. The food, when I say all of it was good, I mean ALL! We got a couple of a smash burgers, wings, beef nachos and garlic parmesan fries. I loved my smash burger, it was seasoned great and the bun was light and fresh. The fries were homestyle and salted perfectly! My MIL got the wings and she said they were amazing, and they looked it also! The nachos came out stacked high with a great portion of toppings! Also, great variety of drinks and beers! When we were done eating we played some games and then off to putting we went. There's a full 18 holes, and the course is pretty good for whether your a newbie or well seasoned putt pro! Music again plays throughout the course and was jammin all day. We gave in around hole 10 and headed to the children's play area where they had an outdoor play area. My only comment here is that this is where I entered so if you bring your kids, be sure to keep an eye on them as the gate comes in from the back parking lot and easy entrance and exit for anyone. Overall I'd say this place was a winner! We had great service from our waiter, who's name has slipped my mind, but he was very attentive and offered great recommendations and the manager on duty was on it the whole time. Came by to check on us after our food arrived and I saw him checking on guest throughout our whole experience that day! We will be back for sure!

Yelp
A bit pricey, but overall a fun time for doing some gold that is not putt-putt style. They serve food and drink, which is nice while playing golf. Also there are some free side games which we appreciated. I highly suggest that during the warmer months, you avoid coming during the day, because it is even hot at night. Nothing they can do about that, but do consider it on your travels!

Yelp
PopStroke is Tiger Wood's play on a PGA level Mini Golf course and his first Texas opening is right here in Katy, TX. There are two 18 hole courses available to play- and the access is based off of an all day pass for 25 dollars to play. So it's worth showing up early and playing a few times. You don't have to pay the fee if you are just going to be watching, eating, hanging out to the side of the course. The area is also well equipment with many bars, seats and other games like cornhole and ping pong. It was very busy on a Friday night and we were a large group. They currently don't take reservations (should be coming in February) although they did close down one of the courses for an hour for an Astros player- so I guess money talks. You can only play with up to 6 people at a time, as to not back up the mini golf courses. Since play is first come, first serve- it seemed fair. We split into two playing groups. There is a large parking lot- but it was so crowded everyone was just parking in the fire lane. We didn't get towed, but it's definitely a possibility in the fire lane. The courses were super fun and you get to keep your PopStroke ball when you leave. We will definitely be back- especially as a smaller group. The food was also much better than the food at Top Golf- so I was really happy. We liked the burgers, wings and nachos. Overall, my biggest complaint is not enough staff in the bar areas, not a good system to get you food and drinks if you aren't sitting at the bar, and not we'll equipped for big groups just yet.

Yelp
Service: we came for a work event. This is a great place to bring friends and the park is huge! So we can expect to spend at least 45 mins here to get through all the holes. We split our group into 5 6 but it was fun.

Yelp
New golf place next to Katy Asia town. Price was $25 per person and you can stay all day. There's two course and we were told each course takes about an hour. First round we were stuck behind a big group so it probably did take an hour. Second course no one was in front of us and I feel like we finished it way faster. We also had lunch prior. The food reminds me of the food at Dave and busters for some reason. I had burger and fries and it was $15 before taxes. There were other things you can do like foosball, ping pong, and corn hole. If you have kiddos there's a play area. We went on a Monday afternoon and it wasn't too packed. I have passed by on a Friday night and there was no parking and the place looked packed.

Yelp
The food here was pretty good and I liked the nachos and wings. I'd skip the hummus bowl again, it didn't feel like a restaurant appetizer. The burgers were good if you like a lot on one. The bacon was crispy but not burnt. The miniature golf has 2 courses. We tried the harder of the two which they track your score. I came out even. Some were able to cheat the system though. The holes are fun and the people I went with were had 3 holes in one. Some were tuff, slopes, sand traps, bumps, but no wind mills. Definitely go back if I have the time.

Yelp
100% legit. This place is great. It looks crowded when you pull up but it flows really well. The food looks great will have to try next time. Great addition to things to do in Katy.

Yelp
This place should be renamed Heat Stroke. Because if you're not built for heat/direct sun, this place is not for you. There is zero shade. NONE. I played both courses and was okay, because I can handle heat. BUT, at the expense of my nice clothing/brand new hat. Sweat my golf balls off. This whole course should've been indoors. It's not even that big. Those mister fans are not going to save you plus it smells like they're spraying scented stuff mixed in? Cant confirm that but wtf if true. Getting blasted with unknown chemicals is always a good time. It's a mix of casuals trying to having fun, people completely not even trying and holding up the flow and actual golf nerds coming dressed up like they are going to play a tournament. For $25, the whole experience was underwhelming. I'd stick with a real mini golf course, its a way better experience. Flows better, less serious. Whos idea was it to make the beer holders be METAL in the direct sunlight? Do y'all realize they become absurdly hot and just heat your beer up at lightning speed? Place a box around them. Give them shade. If you're not going to prioritize safety of the customers with zero shade, then at least protect the beer. Think about the beer. The alcohol service from the app to the course is awkward and takes too long. Both times we used it our server went to the completely wrong hole even though we were standing right in front of the signs each time. Only AC portion of this place is the small bar inside. Otherwise, prepare to be in the heat anywhere outside of that. The food was absolutely terrible and I'd recommend eating before or after. Unless you like a cleaner version of 7/11 heat lamp food. Overall, this place is underwhelming and an uncomfortable experience if its sunny/warm out. Unless you're a hardcore golfer, this is a pass.

Yelp
Wow, me and my fiancée had so much fun. Got some drinks at the bar and Savannah C. made it even better! The service she gave was great. Definitely coming back.

Yelp
So much fun! I like the two easy and hard courses. The holes were really fun and I like that the games are unlimited. There is also lawn games a play gym for littles. The smash burger was bomb. My only complaint was the app wasn't working when we were golfing so we have to walk to the indoor bar twice, oh well. I wish Tiger would open one close to where I live!

Yelp
It is a little pricey for putt putt but they advertise it as an all day play pass. However, after 18 holes, you are pretty done unless you are spending the whole day out there. We went straight to the bar grabbed drinks then headed to the course. There was a group of three in front of us but they moved pretty quickly and we ended up not having anyone in front or behind us. The course is pretty basic and all the holes are pretty much the same. We needed refills about half way through but couldn't find the QR code to scan and get more drinks. We finished up and then went to hang out on the couches. They have a nice playground for the kids and some outdoors games as well. I would go back and just skip the golf, let the kids play, order some food and drinks and just hang out.

Yelp
Me and hubby had a good time here. We went on a weeknight so there wasn't much people. The putt putts are fun and a little hard but I loved the pingpong tables the most. I also had strawberry milkshake and I ate that so fast. It was so good. We will definitely come back!

Yelp
It was great for the kids. We went for a 3 year olds party and they had rented out the back patio area that has an enclosed playground so kids were very happy. They also have a full bar which is fun. The course was a great time. People that worked there were very helpful and friendly! We will be back

Yelp
Popstroke is located in the New Chinatown of Katy, Texas. Very lively location as it is Sorrounded by stone if the great eateries in the area so if you're not interested in grabbing a bite at Popstroke before or after a round of Golf, there are some great food options directly around to choose from. The golf course is perfectly spaced to accommodate the crowds, as this place stays very busy! There are cool towel coolers strategically placed around the golf course for you to freely grab .... which is great for this texas heat we have. The course is for all ages- young and old, so it's definitely a family friendly spot. The location is 2 stories so there is plenty of space and several bars on each floor, along with sofa seating in certain spots for a cozy conversation if you'd like. Along with the golf course, there is a large playground for the littles, a table tennis spot and bean bag toss. This spot covers it all to ensure you have something to do while you're here so you can stay a while.... Suggestion: visit between 5-7 to beat the crowd especially if you're bringing a small child. This place really fills up after 8.
