Porfa Coffee - Review - Fort Lauderdale - Miami - The Infatuation

"This Fort Lauderdale shop does espresso, matcha, and lattes that taste a little like dessert. The latter is good if you like your coffee on the sweeter side (the churro latte tastes as advertised). You also shouldn’t ignore the baked goods in the display case. Their bodega buns are doughy little balls stuffed with bacon and a soft-boiled egg that remains jammy on a good day. And their Sunday-only cinnamon rolls are plush, gooey, and heavy on icing. Fort Lauderdale doesn’t have a lot of viral coffee spots, and Porfa’s long lines on the weekend are a testament to the city’s desire for more $8 lattes with housemade syrups. Avoid the weekends if you don’t want to wait in that line, or come close to 8am to beat it." - Ryan Pfeffer

A Hand Roll Bar With Caviar Bumps and Other Miami Openings This Month | Eater Miami

"The island of Mallorca and its sense of community, as well as its coffee culture, inspired sisters Selena, Alexandra, and Talia to open Porfa Coffee in Fort Lauderdale. The shop is decorated in blush tones, with comfortable seating. Porfa offers coffee, flat whites, and ceremonial-grade matcha, but try the Nocilla latte, made with chocolate and hazelnut. Porfa sells pastries, croissants, focaccia, and quiche. On Sunday, don’t forget to stop in for its freshly baked cinnamon buns." - Laine Doss

Porfa Coffee is a cute little spot right in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. I stopped by super early on a Tuesday morning, and it was totally empty, which was nice and peaceful. There's plenty of parking, but not a ton of seating, so I could see it getting a bit cramped if it gets busy. The menu is somewhat small. Mostly coffee, tea, and a few pastries and small bites. I tried the Churro Latte since it sounded really good (they make their own churro syrup and foam), but honestly, I didn't get any churro flavor. Just a light cinnamon taste, and the coffee itself was a little bitter. I was hoping for something sweeter, especially for $7.50. The staff was super friendly though, and the place has a nice vibe overall. Cute for a quick stop, but the drink didn't totally win me over.

If you are tired of chain coffee shops to start your day, i have found the perfect spot in east Ft Lauderdale on the SE corner of US1 & Oakland Park Blvd., Porfa is everything that those chains are not. Beautiful decor and inviting atmosphere with your full menu of coffee options. Even the bathroom is next level class…I am just an old-fashioned Drip coffee guy and each cup is made to order. I had a ham & cheese croissant that was so flaky & fresh, i almost went to the counter for a second. Give Porfa a shot, i promise you, you will not be disappointed.

Beautiful shop with nice coffee and baked goods. Super welcoming and friendly environment, kind employees! The black espresso was nice and smooth. My husband loved his latte and guava cheese tart. My Olive oil orange cake was good with a solid portion. They have indoor and outdoor seating with a mix of high tops and lower seats. Seems to get pretty crowded, but things move along nicely. Would definitely stop back in again!

I wish I could give 6 stars! 🌟 this is easily my new favorite spot in Fort Lauderdale. The coffee is incredible, the bites are delicious, and the people here elevate the vibe into another stratosphere. Speaking of the vibe, the design of the space is gorgeous. There was obviously so much care and intention giving to make the space warm, chic, and inviting. It transports you from Ft. Lauderdale to Mallorca and you’re living the European summer in Spain dream without leaving the city 🥰 Additionally, the owners and staff are so genuinely kind and welcoming, you feel right at home here. They made it feel just like they’re inviting you into their living room for coffee and a chat ❤️ the quality of the coffee and food are the main event, and the prices are very good especially considering the quality. I’ve ordered the iced flan latte twice because it’s so delicious, and today I also tried the quiche - sun-dried tomato and pesto. So light and flavorful, the perfect bite for any time of day. I’ve also sampled the homemade guava and cheese poptart, which is a hit. Such a fun take on a south Florida staple pastry! Cannot recommend this place highly enough, stop by and give it a try - it’s sure to become your go-to for excellent coffee and bites. Plus an unbeatable atmosphere!

Such a tasteful cafe. I wish I could come in here everyday. Baristas were so sweet and welcomed us with so much joy! I got the iced spanish latte which was so creamy and delicious, not overbearingly sweet- I LOVED IT. I also got the guava and cheese pastry, and it was like a pair made in heaven. It paired so well with my latte. The bread was so buttery and soft, definitely a must try. I also got a bite of my friends’ olive cake which was so good, it had hints of cardamom which elevated it by tenfold. It also has the perfect combination of work/socializing vibes. There are areas reserved for non-laptop work and there is a communal table where a lot of people gather for online work as well as some bar seating. They also have two tables outside for a warmer vibe!

We came down here from Tampa for a show and had to stop and try the coffee here. The atmosphere in the coffee shop is so unique and calm. It’s a small space and feels cozy and homey. The service was quick and friendly, and the coffee? The coffee is amazing! We had the churro latte and the seasonal cherry cobbler latte, and both were incredible. The flavor actually feels like it’s made from real ingredients, and the quality of the espresso feels rich and delicious. I wish we were local so we could come here all the time, but I highly recommend this coffee shop for anyone is in the area. You absolutely won’t regret it!

It’s rare to find a coffee spot with good food, good coffee and great staff, but this place is it. The churro latte was perfect, asked for less pumps of syrup, and it was delicious. Ordered the cinnamon buns, on a Sunday, and it was so worth it. The icing is a little too cream cheesy for my liking, but i still ate it all up. For a new place, the staff is so friendly and welcoming and are handling the rush pretty well. I will definitely be a regular here. Random, but the bathroom is the nicest bathroom I’ve been to for a coffee shop!

Porfa Coffee has an effortlessly welcoming vibe that makes it a spot you’ll want to hang out in. The cinnamon bun was absolutely delicious: soft, gooey, and perfectly balanced with sweetness. Hopefully, they start offering it on more days than just Sundays. I tried the saffron latte, which had a really unique flavor profile that stood out in the best way, and the cortado was stellar as well. It was incredibly smooth, rich, and expertly crafted. The only miss for me was the Dubai Chocolate croissant, which I’d probably skip next time, but everything else I tried was fantastic. Whether you’re catching up with friends, getting some work done, or just enjoying a great cup of coffee, Porfa is definitely worth a stop.
