Porfa Coffee - Review - Fort Lauderdale - Miami - The Infatuation

"This Fort Lauderdale shop does espresso, matcha, and lattes that taste a little like dessert. The latter is good if you like your coffee on the sweeter side (the churro latte tastes as advertised). You also shouldn’t ignore the baked goods in the display case. Their bodega buns are doughy little balls stuffed with bacon and a soft-boiled egg that remains jammy on a good day. And their Sunday-only cinnamon rolls are plush, gooey, and heavy on icing. Fort Lauderdale doesn’t have a lot of viral coffee spots, and Porfa’s long lines on the weekend are a testament to the city’s desire for more $8 lattes with housemade syrups. Avoid the weekends if you don’t want to wait in that line, or come close to 8am to beat it." - Ryan Pfeffer

A Hand Roll Bar With Caviar Bumps and Other Miami Openings This Month | Eater Miami

"The island of Mallorca and its sense of community, as well as its coffee culture, inspired sisters Selena, Alexandra, and Talia to open Porfa Coffee in Fort Lauderdale. The shop is decorated in blush tones, with comfortable seating. Porfa offers coffee, flat whites, and ceremonial-grade matcha, but try the Nocilla latte, made with chocolate and hazelnut. Porfa sells pastries, croissants, focaccia, and quiche. On Sunday, don’t forget to stop in for its freshly baked cinnamon buns." - Laine Doss

The atmosphere is beautiful I love the vibes here. Ordered the churro and saffron lattes, cappuccino, and gingerbread loaf with chocolate croissant. Coffee was good, not the best ever but satisfied with it (needs more flavor/creaminess). The baked goods were great, but the actual place is the reason I would come again and again. It feels like Portugal by the sea, and during Christmas the decor was so beautiful. Also the bathroom was a pleasant surprise and had a little fountain in it!! There’s seashell candles everywhere and the walls are rustic and the feeling of the space is so so amazing. Just love the overall place so much! Give your designer a raise.

Porfa Coffee is a cute little spot right in the heart of Fort Lauderdale. I stopped by super early on a Tuesday morning, and it was totally empty, which was nice and peaceful. There's plenty of parking, but not a ton of seating, so I could see it getting a bit cramped if it gets busy. The menu is somewhat small. Mostly coffee, tea, and a few pastries and small bites. I tried the Churro Latte since it sounded really good (they make their own churro syrup and foam), but honestly, I didn't get any churro flavor. Just a light cinnamon taste, and the coffee itself was a little bitter. I was hoping for something sweeter, especially for $7.50. The staff was super friendly though, and the place has a nice vibe overall. Cute for a quick stop, but the drink didn't totally win me over.

Google
Beautiful shop with nice coffee and baked goods. Super welcoming and friendly environment, kind employees! The black espresso was nice and smooth. My husband loved his latte and guava cheese tart. My Olive oil orange cake was good with a solid portion. They have indoor and outdoor seating with a mix of high tops and lower seats. Seems to get pretty crowded, but things move along nicely. Would definitely stop back in again!

Google
I wish I could give 6 stars! 🌟 this is easily my new favorite spot in Fort Lauderdale. The coffee is incredible, the bites are delicious, and the people here elevate the vibe into another stratosphere. Speaking of the vibe, the design of the space is gorgeous. There was obviously so much care and intention giving to make the space warm, chic, and inviting. It transports you from Ft. Lauderdale to Mallorca and you’re living the European summer in Spain dream without leaving the city 🥰 Additionally, the owners and staff are so genuinely kind and welcoming, you feel right at home here. They made it feel just like they’re inviting you into their living room for coffee and a chat ❤️ the quality of the coffee and food are the main event, and the prices are very good especially considering the quality. I’ve ordered the iced flan latte twice because it’s so delicious, and today I also tried the quiche - sun-dried tomato and pesto. So light and flavorful, the perfect bite for any time of day. I’ve also sampled the homemade guava and cheese poptart, which is a hit. Such a fun take on a south Florida staple pastry! Cannot recommend this place highly enough, stop by and give it a try - it’s sure to become your go-to for excellent coffee and bites. Plus an unbeatable atmosphere!

Google
If you are tired of chain coffee shops to start your day, i have found the perfect spot in east Ft Lauderdale on the SE corner of US1 & Oakland Park Blvd., Porfa is everything that those chains are not. Beautiful decor and inviting atmosphere with your full menu of coffee options. Even the bathroom is next level class…I am just an old-fashioned Drip coffee guy and each cup is made to order. I had a ham & cheese croissant that was so flaky & fresh, i almost went to the counter for a second. Give Porfa a shot, i promise you, you will not be disappointed.

Google
Such a tasteful cafe. I wish I could come in here everyday. Baristas were so sweet and welcomed us with so much joy! I got the iced spanish latte which was so creamy and delicious, not overbearingly sweet- I LOVED IT. I also got the guava and cheese pastry, and it was like a pair made in heaven. It paired so well with my latte. The bread was so buttery and soft, definitely a must try. I also got a bite of my friends’ olive cake which was so good, it had hints of cardamom which elevated it by tenfold. It also has the perfect combination of work/socializing vibes. There are areas reserved for non-laptop work and there is a communal table where a lot of people gather for online work as well as some bar seating. They also have two tables outside for a warmer vibe!

Google
We came down here from Tampa for a show and had to stop and try the coffee here. The atmosphere in the coffee shop is so unique and calm. It’s a small space and feels cozy and homey. The service was quick and friendly, and the coffee? The coffee is amazing! We had the churro latte and the seasonal cherry cobbler latte, and both were incredible. The flavor actually feels like it’s made from real ingredients, and the quality of the espresso feels rich and delicious. I wish we were local so we could come here all the time, but I highly recommend this coffee shop for anyone is in the area. You absolutely won’t regret it!

Google
It’s rare to find a coffee spot with good food, good coffee and great staff, but this place is it. The churro latte was perfect, asked for less pumps of syrup, and it was delicious. Ordered the cinnamon buns, on a Sunday, and it was so worth it. The icing is a little too cream cheesy for my liking, but i still ate it all up. For a new place, the staff is so friendly and welcoming and are handling the rush pretty well. I will definitely be a regular here. Random, but the bathroom is the nicest bathroom I’ve been to for a coffee shop!

Yelp
Feels like you're in Europe, while sipping on delish lattes! I keep going back to this new spot to try their specialty drinks! And the focaccia sandwich was so yummy - big enough to share!

Yelp
I enjoyed my trip here yesterday! It was a bit busy at first, but things mellowed out around 12:30 with a steady flow of customers. The inside is very clean, and I love the design--it's a mix of modern with 70s/80s decor. Very groovy. The staff is upbeat and kind, and the overall vibes are great. To be honest, I wasn't wow'd by my churro latte. It was still very good, just not as bold in flavor as I expected. Pro tip for my sweet-coffee lovers: add a couple pumps of sugar-free vanilla or another syrup you like to balance any bitterness. What did wow me was the cinnamon bun. It was out of this world--I thought about it all day. I'll definitely be coming back for that alone. Just make sure they're baked all the way through. My friend's was super doughy on the inside, but she was too shy to say anything. Luckily, mine was perfect. Overall, this spot has great vibes, great staff, and some real standout items. I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Yelp
10/10 experience. This place is so aesthetically cute and serves up Wells Coffee so you know it's delicious! We had the saffron and flan latte for the seasonal flavors but we can't wait to go back and try the others. The pastries are always a good choice but we especially loved the guava pop tart. Check this place out

Yelp
Extremely busy coffee shop in Fort Lauderdale. Two little tables on the front patio and comfy seating inside selling pastry and Wells Coffee #9. Ordered my usual double espresso which was presented in a mini brown ceramic cup on a white molded saucer. Loved the round ball handle providing a sense of creativity. I tasted Wells coffee several times so knew it would be fine. The gender neutral bathroom was a spiritual retreat to say the least (see pic & video). Aside from the basic bathroom items there was a flowing polyresin three tier led zen fountain and a rattan pendant light fixture exemplifying the owner's originality of their business. Good tasting coffee in a creative setting with tight parking.

Yelp
The food and coffee here is incredible. I got the churro latte with the delicious cold foam, and wow was I impressed. It wasn't too sweet and overpowering and had a great coffee flavor. I also tried the yummy guava and cheese "poptart" which was so delicious. The shop itself is so cute and chic, a perfect spot to enjoy a coffee date! There's plenty of parking out front, pay by phone, or in the adjacent lot. It's a perfect location close to shopping, which is exactly why I stopped in before doing my errands! Great spot with fast service, delicious coffee and tasty treats. Another tip, go on Sunday and get the cinnamon roll, you won't regret it! Be prepared to have a wait, for this quality it's worth it!

Yelp
Such a cute place! I tried the coffee and croissant and I can say it's not too bad! I want to go again and try something new but this place is nice and clean and staff is friendly and helpful!

Yelp
Say please! This is my absolute favorite local coffee shop in Fort Lauderdale. From the amazing friendly staff that understands hospitality & treats everyone like family, to the house made syrups, I cannot get enough! The cafe is small but transports you to the Mediterranean with stucco walls and a faux fireplace, now decorated with a Christmas tree and wreaths! Always a good vibe in there. The bodega bun is consistently the best breakfast bun I've ever had! The iced saffron late with homemade cold foam is my go to! I love you Porfa

Yelp
I finally got to visit Porfa Coffee! This place is aesthetically pleasing. Vibrant colors and lots of seating. The counter is a bit small, I was checked out and got my drink in under 5 minutes. It was not packed when I got there. I ordered the sweet potato pie iced latte with Almond milk. I did not like it- I didn't taste the sweet potato pie, it was a bit bitter. I could not finish my latte. It lacked the sweet potato pie flavors. I'd like to go back and try their other menu items.
google avatar

Jessica B.

Yelp
Wow, I absolutely love Porfa! The coffee itself is delicious, I'm a big espresso fan and I would say their espresso is some of the best. The vibe inside is warm and inviting while also having a very clean, classy esthetic. I love the mugs they serve their coffee in. All of the barista's are very nice and even when it's crowded, the service is top-notch.

Yelp
This is a little PSA for those who have not been to this coffee shop just yet.. please do yourself a favor and go! It is absolutely beautiful, the staff is the best and everything on the menu is phenomenal! The best coffee, the best Matcha, the best pastries.. literally the best!! my favorites for the coffee are the churro latte and the flan latte they also have a saffron latte, I am very excited to try next time I am in! But seriously this place is a 10 out of 10. I highly recommend it!! oh and if you stop by on Sundays because they have the most delicious cinnamon rolls!!!
google avatar

Yelp
Finally got try and it was worth the hype. Super busy Saturday morning, line went by very fast and coffees came out fairly quick. Got a churro latte and a flan latte. Both were packed with flavor but still had the coffee taste (which I like). Coming back to try more options and also to try their food! It's small inside - a few tables and two outside. I love the aesthetic of the place though. Very cozy Parking is horrible. Thankfully we found a spot in the super busy plaza.

Yelp
This place is sooooo cute and smells so good! The decor is has a clean beachy vibe and they have so many different flavors of drinks to choose from. I also love that this cafe is work friendly so you can grab a table/chair and stay for a while. The staff is so nice! The cashier/barista who took my order and made my drink was very patient with me while I was deciding which drink to go with and how sweet I wanted it to be. I was so excited to learn that they serve Alma Matcha which is by far my favorite matcha in Broward county, so it is nice to know I can find their product here as well. All of their pastries looked delicious but I didn't try any today. I'll definitely be back on Sunday to try their Cinnamon Roll, some of their food items and one of their specialty coffee drinks.
google avatar

Camilla R.

Yelp
So I'll be honest, I only came here because my usual matcha spot was closed while moving locations, and I know that Porfa carries their matcha. I have to say, the vibe here is elite and the aesthetic is so cute. I brought my laptop and got some work done, and it was truly a vibe. I will definitely come back to try the coffee. The man at the register was so nice and welcoming. You can tell he genuinely loves his customers and cares about the service he provides. You get a small, homie feeling when you walk in, which I loved. That said, I was a little disappointed in the matcha. My drink was extremely gritty, as if it hadn't been whisked long enough. I know the matcha quality is good because they carry the brand I like, but the barista may have been in a hurry. Because of that, I would probably stick to trying the coffee next time rather than the matcha.
google avatar

Yelp
The iced FLAN latte made the whole trip worth it. It's perfectly sweetened but I do like to add an extra shot of espresso. I also got their bacon, egg, and cheese bun which I would get again. It reminded me of a bagel bun but I enjoyed it had the egg bacon and cheese as oppose to the cream cheese. I also got their guava and cheese pop tart which o warmed at home and it was perfect. The two associates that helped me were super sweet and I appreciated the asked how to spell my name instead of just guessing. Very chic ambiance, good for a day date or just to come and grab a coffee and chill. I will definitely be back to try the ham and cheese croissant soon! Thanks again!

Yelp
I finally got around to visiting Porfa and loved the churro latte. The interior design of this place is amazing, so many small details went into it. The employees are very friendly and personable even when there are crowds. We waited a bit for our drinks, but it is definitely worth it as you can tell they take time curating each drink. It's a good spot to get work done, but I recommend getting there early as it gets really crowded. So excited to have Porfa in the neighborhood, definitely my new go to spot!
google avatar

Destiny C.

Yelp
Such a cute coffee shop in Fort Lauderdale! You need to order the churro latte, it comes topped with cold foam which tasted amazing. On sundays, they have homemade cinnamon rolls which are 100% worth waking up early for. They have a long table with couches, along with 2 tables outside. They get really crowded, so I recommend coming earlier. I highly recommend coming here and getting the churro latte, you won't regret it!
google avatar

Avesta S.

Yelp
Grand opening day! What a pleasure to support a local woman owned business! The iced saffron latte is life changing. No cold foam necessary to truly enjoy the taste of the saffron syrup. The flan latte was also amazing with such a subtle yet sweet caramel taste. I've visited countless coffee shops and have never seen such original latte flavors that are executed as well without compromising the quality of the espresso. They use Alma Matcha and have plenty of amazing baked goods from New River Bakery. Porfa Coffee is truly the best new coffee shop partnering with the absolute greatest in Fort Lauderdale, including my fave espresso beans from Wells Coffee. The service and ambience could not be more dreamy. You will literally feel like you've stepped away to a Greek oasis with every corner of Porfa being inspired by Mallorca. Consider me a regular from now on.
google avatar

Blue A.

Yelp
I visited three times in one week. That's how good the Flan Latte is. A great addition to the Oakland Park neighborhood. I wish I still lived in this area as this would easily be my go-to place to work from. Staff is super nice and welcoming. They chat you up, always smile and answered some questions I had. The guava pop tart and the banana bread are A+ sweet treats. The star of the show for me is the Flan Latte. That caramel flavor from a traditional flan blended perfectly into a coffee drink. I take mine iced and the cold foam on top is a nice addition. Will drop in whenever I visit.
google avatar

Natalie S.

Yelp
I came here with a group.of women, unfortunately we arrived right at the same time as a bunch of students from the yoga studio next door arrived. So it was super busy. I had the chai tea, which was very good. They sell assorted pastry (croissants, something that looked like a pop tart).
google avatar

Alexa R.

Yelp
Finally got to try Porfa Coffee. The space is small but decorated so beautifully, with limited seating. The staff was extremely kind & helpful upon ordering. For 11am on a Sunday it was most definitely bustling. Luckily there wasn't a line but there was a small crowd of people waiting for their orders. My boyfriend and I both got the churro lattes, which we received fairly quickly. We also decided to share a cinnamon roll, which they only have on sundays. The cinnamon roll took almost 30 minutes, which I really could not understand. After the long wait, I want to say it was worth it but I'm not entirely sure. Don't get me wrong it was delicious, I loved the heavy cinnamon flavor & the icing. What really bothered me was there were parts of it that were really hard. I prefer my cinnamon rolls on the softer side. The churro lattes we really enjoyed. It wasn't overly sweet & I was really fond of the churro cold foam. Overall, solid little coffee shop and a nice addition to the area.
google avatar

Si L.

Yelp
I like the ambiance of the coffee shop, however, it was PACKED on a Sunday afternoon. I barely had a seat when I first arrived. It is a good place to get work done, but I would not necessarily say it is "quiet". I did come for the cinnamon roll which was pretty good and the churro coffee (their best seller) which was sweet and espresso shot was strong but I feel like it lacked the cinnamon caramel taste of the churro. I must say that the prices were quite shocking for the food. My friend had the saffron latte and in her words, it was "dirty water" lol
google avatar

Christina A.

Yelp
The ambiance of this place is so cute, Mediterranean vibe with such a clean aesthetic. The barista was super sweet and helped guide me through the menu. I ordered the Saffron Latte and it is the best latte I've ever had. The saffron flavor was strong but not overpowering. I will definitely be coming back to this spot.
google avatar

Nicole T.

Yelp
Porfa was just okay for me. It was really busy on a late Monday morning which is a good thing for the business, but it's also a very small café so it felt overly packed and stuffy inside. Also, with their being so many people inside, it was very noisy and hard to carry on a conversation. The decor was cute and clean but it's very small inside. It also seemed that they were under staffed or, again, their kitchen area was not large enough to accommodate enough staff to serve the volume of customers. There was a line of people waiting to order and another cluster of people waiting to pick up their coffee. This contributed to the overflow of people in the cafe. So they need a better way to deal with the flow of moving customers in and out, or a bigger location. I ordered a Churro latte and a pastry. The woman taking orders seemed overwhelmed. She wasn't unfriendly but when I was asking her about pastries, it felt that she was in such a hurry, trying to take orders and help other employees behind the counter so it didn't feel like a personable experience. The Churro latte was very sweet....too sweet for my liking. I liked the Churro cold foam. If it had less churro syrup, I think I would've enjoyed this drink but for $7.50 I'd prefer to spend my money elsewhere.
google avatar

Matthew S.

Yelp
This cute little family owned coffee shop that just opened in Fort Lauderdale has all the charm you could ask for on a Sunday morning. The rough-hewn stone walls really make you feel the cozy Mallorcan inspiration they are trying to go for. Everyone seemed very happy to be working there and you could see the family collab in action. The fun and easy to order specialty coffees along with delicious pastries make this place well worth a visit and made me excited to come and try new options. We ordered a hot Spanish latte, an iced churro latte, and a cinnamon roll to share. Very excited to come back. A great new addition to Fort Lauderdale!
google avatar

Oscars P.

Yelp
New local coffee shop that I wanted to try. Its quaint and the coffee they use was good.. Free wifi made my work on my laptop a breeze. Seems like it was busy for the hour I spent there. Parking is a little bit of a challenge but its worth the try
google avatar

Junielle T.

Yelp
Another coffee shop added to my favorites! Porfa is such a cute coffee shop! The drinks and bites were very tasteful. I wish it was closer to me, but I would definitely make the drive to go back to Porfa! We did not wait long for our order and it was very quick!
google avatar

Marisa N.

Yelp
Who doesn't love a new coffee shop! Porfa is aesthetically beautiful, with delicious snacks and tasty coffee. I love coming here, but if you come on the weekend, be prepared for a little bit of line, but it does move fast.
google avatar

Diana M.

Yelp
I had been anticipating the opening of this spot because the aesthetic was cute and the drinks sounded so good. I finally got the chance to go, it was packed and for good reason. Their staff is welcoming from the minute you walk in, the place is really cute and different, gives you vacation vibes in a way. Limited seating but enough during non busy times. The drinks look good and taste good. I had the churro latte with oat milk and it was really nice and strong with a subtle hint of churro, not overpowering or overly sweet. The prices are pretty standard for lattes nowadays, $7.50, oat milk was only an additional .50 cents charge. Overall, definitely check this place out. It's also conveniently located in a plaza with other business and across from another plaza with a Target, Publix, Marshall's, Home goods and TJmaxx.
google avatar

Taryn C.

Yelp
Good coffee and great atmosphere. Drinking a coffee at Porfa feels like I'm grabbing coffee somewhere in the Mediterranean. The coffee was amazing. I like my coffee sweet but still able to taste the flavor of the coffee. Everything came out quick and as ordered. The food was pretty good but nothing special. But I plan to return and try one of their famous cinnamon rolls on a Sunday.
google avatar

Jodie B.

Yelp
The coffee is decent, but $8 ($9 with tip) for a 12oz latte?! Come on! Granted I got a DF milk, but that's still outrageous. Definitely not even close to worth the price.
google avatar

Brittany K.

Yelp
i've been twice now and i think by the third visit i would be inclined to leave a 5 star! They have a good set of food/bakery and coffee items, where it feels like anyone can walk in and find something they enjoy, without questioning the quality (like when a shop has just wayyy too many options). They stand out by have specialty coffees that i haven't seen anywhere else, but stay true to what coffee is by having classics. It is a very quaint space, so during busy hours it gets quite crowded, but if you go early in the morning before the rush it's quite nice! Pricing is high but so is everywhere else
google avatar

Aleks M.

Yelp
This coffee shop is so cute. The staff is very friendly and the service is quick even when the shop is busy. I love a good iced latte and they delivered. I tried their saffron latte- excellent and the season sweet potato latte was delicious. Def a cute spot to meet your gfs or a coffee date.
google avatar

Chelsea S.

Yelp
I happened to see on Insta that this coffee shop recently opened & had to check it out in person because the ambiance seemed really cool and the pastries looked great. I am happy to report that I was not disappointed! I went around 2pm on a Saturday, so a lot of the pastries weren't available anymore (I wanted to try the banana bread), but I opted for the Orange Olive Oil Loaf which they warmed up for me and it was delicious! I also got an iced oat milk latte which was really good as well. The decor is on point and there was a good amount of seating, however it was pretty filled at this hour, so I took everything to-go. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming too, and I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
What a great little yet homie, cozy and functional coffee shop! I went this morning for the first time. I was in the area and needed my coffee fix. I learned they just opened and new to the Oakland Park area. The coffee: Flan Iced latte: 20/10! Really good and perfect balance of coffee and flan flavor, nothing over powered and no fake creamer flavors. Loved the burnt sugar on top that made the flan theme stand out. Churro hot latte: tasted just like a Churro including the cinnamon sugar crunch on top. Bites: Guava Pop tarts: OMG, just like a Cuban guava pastelito but with a PoP Tart glaze on top. If you like pop tarts and guava, this is for you! Aesthetics: 100/10, beachy natural wood vibes inside. They have cute merch as well. Plenty of outlets to connect to your laptops, etc. The baristas behind the counter were super nice and knowledgeable about their coffee and the confidence behind their product exude. I want to come back to try more of the menu. They have a Saffron latte & other bakery goods I want to try. Pro tip: parking is free & check out the beautiful bathroom.

Yelp
Beautiful place with wonderful coffee and matcha! Their matcha is top tier and you must try it! Excited to see this place open and they deserve all the hype
google avatar

Yelp
Surprisingly super cool vibe in what at first looks like it will be an aging strip mall coffee bar. Inside it's sleek and charming, with a youngish hip crowd (and a lot of customers). Service, food and beverage were as good as the ambience
google avatar

Taylor A.

Yelp
Delicious coffee, amazing vibes, and friendly service! This is a great spot to get coffee with friends. There's even a photo booth spot to take pictures. Super cute and a fun atmosphere!
google avatar

Yelp
First of all, this place is so cute. The decor is cozy and makes you want to stay for a while. The staff was friendly and even though the place was super busy, they moved through the line fairly quickly. My friend and I ordered the Flan latte and the Spanish latte, both iced. They were both delicious, you can really taste the coffee without the sweetness over powering it. By the time we got here there wasn't a lot of food left but u tried the olive bread and it was sooo delicious. Definitely need to come back to try other items on their menu
google avatar

Chelsie M.

Yelp
Came to the grand opening today and this place is SOOOO cute! The decor is spot on. The staff is amazing. We ordered a matcha latte, churro latte, and the guava and cheese pastries (HOLY MOLY!). Everything is absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back!!
google avatar

Yelp
I'm a coffee enthusiast and I must say that this is the absolute best coffee I've had in all of Florida truly their signature blends are unique and the absolute best. My go to is the saffron iced coffee and it's got the perfect amount of spice and sweetness! On the weekends this place does get quite busy so I usually go during the week.
google avatar

Zach S.

Yelp
Great coffee spot. You have to try the cinnamon roll!!! It's amazing. I'll definitely be back here
google avatar

Yelp
Love the atmosphere of this place every corner of the place has personality to it. Very aesthetic and relaxing. I had the strawberry matcha with the guava pop tart. The matcha was ok but the pop tart was good. Overall experience and customer was great though!!

Yelp
This coffee places is a bit far from where I live but it's definitely worth the trip. The coffee and food are very tasty . The staff is very nice and have lots of patiences. My friend took a bit to decided on which coffee to choose from. I had the one with saffron and totally worth the risk. Love this cozy and charming coffee shops.

Yelp
I'm always on the hunt for a new coffee shop to try, and on this given day, Porfa Coffee was the spot. Right away I liked the vibe and aesthetic here, from the decor to the seating, to the not-at-all loud music playing. Then, I noticed all the options offered on their menu, both for drinks and for food items. I got an iced vanilla cortado with oat milk, and we shared a matcha cookie. Both were great. The matcha cookie wasn't too matcha-y (which I liked because I'm not a big matcha fan), and the cortado was the perfect blend of coffee and vanilla flavoring. We didn't have to wait very long for our order, and anyway, we sat on one of their comfy seats while we waited. As we were leaving I read their sort of introductory letter posted in the front of the shop, which is how I learned that Porfa is owned by 3 sisters. Maybe I'm a sucker for woman-owned businesses, maybe it's because I have 2 sisters myself, or maybe it's just because the coffee was great, but Porfa was well-worth the hunt.

Yelp
Probably one of the most anticipated coffee shop openings in Broward. I sadly miss all of their pop up opportunities prior to them officially opening but glad I finally made it out now that they're officially open. We came today (Sunday after their grande opening) and I was so happy to see this small biz packed. We conveniently got a spot at their front window bar and I felt like I was in a super cute coffee diner from back in the day. Husband tried their Nocilla Latte (basically because it said chocolate) and I went with the Churro Latte iced. Both were delicious and not overly sweet. Absolutely love that they use Wells Coffee beans - making this spot even better. We also tried the Banana Bread with Nutella glaze, we well as their Guava Cheese pop tart. Both were great but that pop tart is nothing like I've ever had before - 10/10 no notes! I seriously debated ordering a second one. They also do fresh cinnamon rolls on Sundays but sadly they ran out when we were there and we couldn't wait for the next batch to arrive. The staff was absolutely wonderful and friendly and crushed it opening weekend. My only note of feedback is it was VERY loud in the shop. The inside area is a bit smaller than I thought it would be and I think it would help to have some softer decor elements or noise cancelling panels on the ceilings to help with the noise reduction. Overall, giving Porfa a 10/10 for my review. Looking forward to visiting more now that they're officially open!

Yelp
A very nice stop for coffee or a snack. The ambiance is a "10" and the place is family owned they are friendly and makes you feel like an old friend. Highly recommend it, right off U.S.1 across from the Coral Ridge Mall.

Yelp
This place is absolutely adorable! Very quaint, cozy and aesthetically pleasing. They do have 2 small tables outside. The service was great, one of the owners husband was working the register, he was really nice and personable. I got a matcha with oat milk and churro cold foam, I loved the cold foam and the matcha was good, I just like my matcha a little sweeter so I'd add some syrup to the drink itself next time. I can't wait to go back and try their coffee and the orange and olive oil loaf.
