Porfirio's Tacos

This is my closest-to-home taco joint. The tacos are simple and modestly sized, I usually go 2-3 potato, egg, and cheese. I usually regret the third taco. The green hot sauce is great, but very spicy and will destroy you if you get greedy. Prices are low for made-to-order tacos. The interior is more of a waiting room and with as much charm so I usually walk my tacos home. Lady Bird Lake trail and picnic tables are a short walk away.

One of the worst places I have ever ate at! I ordered breakfast tacos this morning that consisted of potatoes, egg, bacon, and cheese. The potatoes tasted and looked old. The eggs were rubbery and tasted old. I seriously gave my tacos away to a homeless person.

Nothing but good experiences so far. Wish they took cards, and some menu items are stronger than others, but I'll go here before a fancy "brunch" spot every time.

for a kind of underground place, i was expecting better more authentic mexican food. what i got was a sad taco that was never introduced to any seasoning including salt

This place has been in a business a long time because they are actually good. They even have taco trucks that sell their tacos at off site places.

Love the Carne Guisada tacos. This is the closest I've found to my father-in-law's Carne Guisada recipe - delicious!!

This was the worst restaurant ever been to the potato and egg that I ordered didn't even look like potatoes. They look like they were made about two weeks ago. Choizo and beans were microwave.

My tacos were half full. Carne guisada tastes like canned chili. Cash only.
