Friendly neighborhood tavern style pub. Food is AWESOME. They have trivia on Thursdays so need reservations… but otherwise pop in and enjoy rotating taps… sours, lagers, ales, ipa’s, porters… wide selection of to-go brews.. they usually have my favorite hard to find barrel aged stout! Love this place.

I came here for a Hazy IPA, mission accomplished! Got some garlic fries while I was here. The drink menu doesn't specify the type of IPA so I had to ask which were Hazys. The food menu said the garlic fries came with parmesan and ranch, so I went with that option. However, my fries had no cheese at all, just garlic. They came with ketchup, I asked for the ranch and they charged me for it. Overall, my beer craving was satisfied, but I was not happy with the food situation. It was a small issue, but I had a small purchase, so in my opinion the visit wasn't worth it. Thanks anyway!

Trivia night used to be fun... but after paying our bill, our Waitress was upset her tip wasn't enough. She actually confronted me in front of my family and other customers that I didn't tip her more [Server Alexis J (on receipt), mature female waitress with long hair]. Well guess what: Tipping is a discretionary act. It's ultimately up to the customer. Guilting/pressuring a customer into giving more money is inappropriate and unethical. Shame on you. You made it very easy for us to never returned to this restaurant again and for me to let everyone I know not to go here as well.

If there was a place where I would go every week to just unwind, this would be it. We have been there 3 times since May and it is the same top quality and same top service. The beers, the food, the onion rings, the burgers, the pasta, the tacos, all of them, sooooo good!!! Worth every penny and…excellent customer service!

Wasn't what I expected but was very happy with what we had over all. Was seated at 630 on a Friday night with no wait and loved the atmosphere of a brewpub. Our server Evan was very attentive and gave us recommendations of beers and items to try. There is a kids menu and the food was excellent pub grub. I had a fantastic sandwich and a beer that was different than I am used to, their beer selection is local and always changing. Would definitely come back.

After reading all the reviews, I had high expectations. Porter's House of Draft is a pub like atmosphere. It's dark with TV screens spread throughout the pub. It would be a great place to get together with the guys. It's not an ideal date or family spot. The beer is cold, the air conditioning is blasting and there's plenty of sports to watch on TV. The chicken tenders and fries were pub quality. They carry local beers, which is a huge plus. I normally offer recommendations, but Porter's House of Draft is a guy's place and they are fulfilling that niche quite well. IG: SACRAMENTOHONEY

Blue burger is so good. With the bacon, blue cheese, and orange marmalade it was like the goldilocks of burgers! My husband loved his too. 50% off a bottle of wine and we rolled out of there happy!

Neighborhood pub and grill, they have a good selection of draft beers, the food is decent too. Laidback place with a casual atmosphere. Thursdays can get a bit crowded, that's the day they have trivia night.

What happened to this place... Went in for lunch today, ordered the tri-tip plate, serious 4 small slices of tri-tip, that was grey, first bite tasted sour (like a week old sour), ordered a side of fries (10 bucks) for a tiny plate. Wife ordered BLTA at 21.50 had 6-7 thin slices of bacon and overall bland. Not sure what happened or if the owners even care, but quality matters when charging top dollar, yet providing shat food, with slow service. sad what this place has become, don't waste your time unless just grabbing a quick drink..

This is "home". Staff Alexis and Shannon treat you like family. Porter is often around and fun to chat with. Food is great. Quantity and quality of drink options is so good. Extremely rare to have anything left in a flight of several tastes. Frose (frozen drinks) flavors are fun and tasty. They've continued weekly specials that have been creative. All around great place to get some great food, a drink or two and check in with friends.

Date Night! Love Porters for great food, drinks and excellent service!! We LOVE Alexis, she always makes us feel so welcome and always goes above and beyond. She is the reason we come here regularly. All the staff is honestly great. Food was great as always.

This place is a great easy date night. Staff makes you feel like a regular and family. Not many tables and definitely fair pricing and reasonable. Food is good and many specials every night. Many different beers on tap and constantly changing. Must visit place.

I'd actually give this place a 3.5 out of 5. Found this place nearby. Had good ratings and they were open late. Surprisingly sparse crowd on a Saturday night. Friendly server. Started with the wheat books orange beer- really good. Ordered the garlic shrimp starter, and the BLT, Monterey chicken sandwich, and French dip. Took the food a long time to come out- server apologized for the wait, but our garlic shrimp app came out after our entrees did. Anything they advertise as garlicky, was really garlicky and good. Garlic shrimp were plump and popped when we but them. Fried chicken sandwich was good but the oil was old so there was a burnt taste. At the end, tried to use the Yelp Check In 10% off, but no one knew how to use it so that was disappointing.

There's a BBQ Food Truck now on Mondays - Buckethead BBQ - and they just won the People's Chioce Award at a regional ribcook off yesterday. Add in all of their brisket, ribs, chicken, pulled pork and don't forget the Apricot BBQ sauce! The 'secret shelf' with some of Porter's personal selections is always fun to go through and grab a beer or 5 you've not-yet tried

Everything was great. No one there the entire time...restaurant was quiet. Food was on point with bar food. Server was awkward but she was cool.

I found this location randomly and was pleasantly surprised to find this spot. Porters is in a strip mall with a bunch of other restaurants but when you drive up they are busy. I went in and the place is packed, the micro brews are plentiful and reasonably priced. I ordered a cheese burger, fries and a beer and it was $30 with the tip. Nice beefy burger on a pretzel bun with a slab of cheese and fresh veg. Big serving of fries. I really liked this burger, of course I wish there was more meat but then they would lose money on this tasty hand cannon. I also have to say the staff was awesome, I was greeted with a huge smile and they made me feel wanted. I recommend this restaurant.

No tap to pay. I had what would have been a great experience if they had a regular means of paying. Unfortunately I had to venmo my total to my peer instead of just paying the bill like I could have at literally any other bar

Friendly staff. Great food and huge beer selection. We went between lunch and dinner so not too busy. We will be back!

Ambiance was nice and lively for this neighborhood ale house but we waited for over an hour for our food order and gave up. It was busy but we ordered soup and house nachos and have a hard time believing it would take over an hour to heat up soup and throw some nachos together. So, disappointed with the service.

We visited for dinner mid-week and staff seemed a bit disorganized. Even though the place wasn't half full, it took awhile to just get our drinks and the bartender seemed more interested in talking and joking with the servers then putting together our drinks. Others who came in after got their drinks before us and we felt left behind. Tables are decently clean but seemed to have only a cursory wipe. It was sticky in several spots and they were nice about coming back to re-wipe it down. He said that they had had a large group recently leave and they were still cleaning up. Food came out piping hot and was good. I don't know if we'd make the effort to come back. Everyone has an off night, and this was one of them I think so I don't want to be to harsh, but we just left feeling underwhelmed.

It was going to be well, but they didn't have tap to pay so the entire experience was ruined.

We were pleasantly surprised and while we don't generally go to beer pubs for food, this was and has been a solid choice over the times we visited. I recommend the Mac and cheese, and I don't ever think that is something I really ever look to order. However, the waiter convinced us to try and thankfully we did. It was really great! Loved the food and the friendly service!

The food here is absolutely terrible. Service is friendly, beer selection is good, but do not eat here. We got the tri tip, chicken sandwich and bruseel sprouts. The tri tip was thin, chewy and cheap. I am 100% sure they buy the tri tip precooked and cut it. The brussel sprouts were undercooked, and tasted like they were boiled than had bacon thrown on top. No flavor. Just awful. I can make better brussel sprouts with my air fryer. The chicken sandwich was barely edible. It tasted like Tyson chicken tenders with a cold soggy bun. It actually takes talent to cook something that bad It felt like a waste of 68 dollars. I'm actually upset about this as I have been severely cutting down my eating out budget due to inflation, and the first time I treat myself out, it's with this horrible food. I really wanted to like this place. Manager, If you want to reach out and discuss this experience with me. I would love to offer suggestions.

Good beer selection, good food options, and great desserts! TRIVIA on Tuesday nights are awesome! They accommodate bigger parties. Can't wait to come back!

We had a good lunch. My family enjoyed tacos and I had the pretzel bun burger as well as onion rings. The food was good as well as service. I asked for a side of ranch and was not told there would be a $1 charge which showed in the bill. I asked that Customers should be notified of an additional cost. Most places charge .25 if at all. Waitress was kind enough to take it off. I've been a happy customer for a long time and will continue to come here.

Great beer options and the best fried pickles ever (spears, not slices!). Their menu is definitely bar food though so plan accordingly!

I been wanting to try this place out. It's your typical bar pup feel .. Noting fancy which is okay . They have great bar food the burgers are very good I got the bacon blue burger it comes with orange marmalade jelly so good with the sweet and savory .It comes in a pretzel bun for my side, I got onion rings. Hubby and I shared the loaded buffalo chicken fries they were delicious!! He also got the wings which he enjoyed. They have a kids menu my boys got the Mimi corn dogs and the cheese burger with fries . Our server was nice and attentive she gave me samples of beer and told us about the wine slushy drinks they have which ,they are very delicious and refreshing ! They had two flavors to choose from Mojito and Strawberry. My only cons are I am a big IPA drinker, I feel like they could have better breweries for their selections. I was not able to find a beer I liked .However, I did see in past yelp reviews they had a lot of good breweries like revision, Moonraker and Russian River. I didn't see a lot that I like this time especially for Hazy beers! I seen one revision in the menu, but that was it. I just wish that they had a better selection for the beer menu . Another con for me, was I know it's a Beer Pub Bar but , I just felt the place could be more organized and clean. There was random stuff in random corners. I'm a little bit of a neat freak, so I just don't like seeing clutter at a bar. Makes me think how organized and clean is their kitchen but that's just me . Overall, this is your typical beer pub to grab a quick drink yummy bar snacks. The frozen wine drinks are very good a must try .

Great little local watering hole. We like to go for a quick happy hour. I like to try their dark beers on tap. The fried pickles and ranch dressing are delicious and go perfect with beer. Super nice service, great music - small cozy ambiance.

Stopped in on a Thursday night for trivia. Trivia started at 7 pm and was a lot of fun. Two waitresses served us. Both were friendly, helpful, and attentive. Fried pickle spears were good. My companion and I did not care for the chicken wings, which had an overwhelming soy taste.

Hi everyone! My Partner and I decided to try this spot after reading such good reviews on Yelp! We ordered a few beers and some burgers and let me tell you, everything was AMAZING. I ordered the Dragon Assassin beer with the Bleu Bacon cheeseburger and tater tots and everything was incredible. The burger combined with the Pretzel Bun was SO delicious. There were SO many flavors in my burger, I didn't even need the ranch dressing. I think the cooks name is Ricardo, and let me tell you, we thoroughly enjoyed our food. We felt very comfortable and welcomed upon entry, and honestly, the staff was awesome! We cannot wait to come back for some good beers and great food. Thanks for making our Sunday so awesome! Love! Enjoyed my chicken sandwich with pretzel bun. The over all sticky bar vibe is here for sure. But staff is super attentive and kind. No problem with parking in this area and they have outdoor seating. Ask what the daily special is my friend got the fish and chips special and she said it was amazing!

PHD is a cool spot with a chill vibe to throw down a few brews and have some tasty bar snacks and treats. The beer selection is always good with a nice variety of beers on draft including beers from Revision, Russian River, Knee Deep and a POG (passion, orange, guava) IPA from Maui Brewing Company. Gotta love a place that showcases some ono Hawaiian beers. Depending on what time and when you go depends on how busy it is. The bar itself is not very large and the seating is limited. They do have covered out door seating as well. The televisions at the bar area are quite small but there's several of them, so it makes up for the size. Staff is friendly and usually has good knowledge of the beers on tap and drinks they serve. PHD is a local bar where, if you go regularly, everyone will know your name....so Cheers.....lol. This a great place. It is one of our local favorites! You feel like family when you are here. Food is always delicious. So if you like a chill and casual atmosphere, come on over to hang out. Ask for Alexis, she will take good care of you.

How could you pass up one of the most amazing draft houses in the area? Not to mention, their perfected kitchen recipes conjured up between family and some that work there! I have frequented Porter's House of Draft for a few years now. I love the choices you have for local craft beers. They offer quality crafted beer from some of the finest breweries in California, along with a great selection of beer from around the world. The handles are rotated daily to give you a chance to try fresh, unique, and rare beer styles that you can't find anywhere else in the region! (They have a great selection of wine as well!!!) Porter's House of Draft offers a menu including a juicy All American Burger built on a Pretzel Bun to delicious Hwa't Wings! I have never had or been offered wings like this anywhere else! Back to their burgers though! Fresh juicy Angus beef burger.. looking and smelling so good.. most recently, they had a Tuesday night Chef Special of a Chipotle Pesto Peanut Butter Cheese Burger.. can you see my picture down below? It was creamy heaven in my mouth! Not to mention, there is a New Friday Burger every month to tantalize your taste buds is you are a burger kinda guy.. or gal! Porter's House of Draft has their Burger game perfected with that fluffy toasted Pretzel Bun! Some of my other favorites include their White Boy tacos, made with carnitas(drool), a Monterey Chicken Sandwich(omg, the ranch is house made with dill), and if you want to eat on the lighter side, they offer a selection of crisp healthy salads... also pictured below. (Be sure to get the Pretzel Sticks! They are topped with salt and served with BEER cheese, marinara and chive cream cheese!!) It is an easy laid back draft house with amazing staff. If you are unsure of what to get to drink, don't be afraid to tell them what you like, the staff is happy to give you a suggestion and a taste to find what's right for you!

Food was yummy, service was great, staff was awesome especially zain haven't seen that handsome young they/them in awhile. Wonder what happened.

We were excited to try this place. We've always driven by so decided to stop in last Friday. The employees were very friendly. The food was also good, highly recommend the french dip! We are big sour beer fans. They had 1 on draft and it's one we've had before and enjoy. It came out flat and we let our server know. Of course it was taken care of but he told us the keg was probably running out. I asked if they were going to change the keg, because we really wanted that beer. He told us at the end of the night.... Maybe that's normal? We were a little disappointed!

Great food every time. Delicious beer and good selection too. Favorite so far is the Philly Cheese Steak. Surprisingly came in a pretzel bun. Meaty sweet potato fries. Nachos good. BBQ tater tots were awesome. Burgers solid. Can't go wrong here. And the most friendly waiters! One of my favorite in Roseville. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu.

Great food and friendly staff! Porter is a very nice guys and runs a great business! Love the ambiance of this place. Very small town feeling when dining here. We are regulars and will be back soon!

Simply the best burgers I've had in years! Each component hit the spot from the high quality bacon, the delicious pretzel bun, and the burger cooker properly to order. The fries were good, the onion rings were perfect. The kids meal burger was also great, looked much higher quality that she gets at other places. Service was friendly and attentive. Dining room was clean. I don't drink, but it looked like ther was a good menu for those that do. Outdoor dining space was available though I had take out.

Had the burger with pretzel bun and it was very tasty. The service was friendly and the food came out fast. Prices are average. I would definitely come back again.

Porters use to be our favorite place. Last time I was in I was served a flat, stale beer. No problem we can fix it. Requested a new beer and got one, all good. But things went downhill fast from there. Our server didn't apologize for serving me rotten beer but rather looked at me like I was some kind of a problem when I politely notified her that something was wrong with the beer she served me. Then we had to blatantly ask for our orders to be taken, had to ask for more drinks, dishes to be taken and had to ask for our bill. I am positive we weren't rude and the place wasn't that busy. Very disappointed because this was our go to, right around the corner place. The staff preferred to chit chat rather than take care of their customers. Did management recently change? Felt like it.

We were eating at Campanelli's across the way and decided to drop in and grab a beer (or three.) Ended up meeting up with friends and also grabbing some appetizers after awhile. Doesn't really look like it from the outside, but this place is totally kid friendly! They even have a few kids menu items. Good for us since there was a 10-year old in our party. They had plenty of beers to try and the waiter was friendly and attentive. Prices were decent and there was a little something for everyone. Food was just whatever, we had pretzels which were a perfect accompaniment to our beer drinkin' but nothing super special. Def recommend if you're in the area and thirsty.

omg we ordered the farm hand . chicken dry . then asked for mini corn dogs burned. terrible service. we got ignored and finally had to ask to be service. understaffed a joke

We love this casual spot! They always have new and rotating craft beers and delicious pub like food. To top it off, their staff, Alexis, Ursi and Evan are so friendly, funny and we always enjoy our time with them. This review has been a long time coming. I don't usually write up reviews although I usually have lots to say about food. So here it goes. We frequent here because we have never had a bad experience. Our last visit today, we split: The Cali Burger-customized of course haha Thick, juicy and well seasoned burger on a grilled soft pretzel bun with spicy sriracha aioli, fresh avocado, lettuce and tomatoes We added bacon, guacamole, grilled jalapeños and the chef added fresh crunchy jalapeños on the side which made this burger sky rocket off the charts delicious! Thank you, Ursi! Fries come with the burger, we ordered them to be more done so they are just perfectly crispy. I love pickles. We always order the deliciously seasoned beer battered dill pickle spears with fresh dill ranch. Perfection! Best fried pickles that I have ever tried and I have tried many fried pickles.LOL We also enjoy trivia night Tuesdays here. So fun!

HEY! Eat here, drink here. Not a full bar. Beer is rotated regularly. If you're lucky you'll find a yummy cider every now and then on tap. All of his burgers are made with those shiny delicious pretzel buns. Bacon Bleu Burger is my favorite. Porter makes his own Orange Marmalade and tops it on this baby nice and thick. The Carnitas "Whiiteboy" Tacos-3 street Taco size corn tortillas doubled up and topped with tasty AF carnitas and usual toppings. Salsa and crema delish!! Mini corn dogs, quesadilla or chicken strips for the kids. It's all good. ***Check out the chalkboard before you look at menu. TRY THE SPECIALS. Try his chocolate lava cake! Porters food has always been better than a bar's food has any right to be. Recently though, they changed their fish tacos from a special spice rubbed style to a standard and unimpressive fried fish taco you can find anywhere. I'm disappointed as I specifically came to porters for their fish tacos. I haven't tried the rest of their food since but hope the quality has not degraded across the board.

It's the cheers of the area. Lots of regulars. Lots of beers. Very nice staff and pretty decent bar food as well. Lots of seating and cool little sports bar type atmosphere

We were lucky to come into Porter's last Wednesday split a bottle since they were half off for wine Wednesday. We had the pretzel, bacon, blue cheese burger, onion rings, and the DBLT

This is a great spot to grab some dinner and delicious brews. We have been here a couple of times and things have been hit and miss, but the food and beers are worth any of the hiccups. Food: I wish I could remember what we got the first time we came because it was delicious. On our last visit, we ordered fried pickles (YUM!), a burger (it would have been great, but I think think they forgot the salt), tri-tip salad (just ok), and the tiny human got the mini corn dogs. Drinks: rotating craft brews and a variety of them at that! Count me in! Atmosphere: pretty small place with a bar you can sit at and a few tables. Nothing for the kids to do, so be sure to bring something to keep them engaged (we usually have coloring books in our cars and they're life savers). Super dark inside too, but it would be a cool vibe with a group of friends without the kiddos. Price - pretty standard gastropub type prices. Service- the first time we went, services was mediocre at best. It took forever to order, get our food, etc. Our last visit was MUCH better and our servers were excellent.

When we have stopped by in the past for a drink we have always had bad experiences, namely being ignored or passed up during a busy evening. Per my brother's recommendation we went there for a burger, it is close and we didn't want to trek much further. There was a woman tending bar and she also took our order, she was friendly and efficient. The burger was great. Cooked to our liking and very hearty. The pretzel bun was a really nice touch! Recommend? Absolutely.

Service was kind, beer was good, atmosphere was relaxed and fun, food was terrible. Brusslesprouts werent baked or roadted, they were boiled. Flank steak was seared, it was boiled. Grilled chicken breast sandwhich was fried. They know what to put on the menu, but not how to cook it. Decent place to preflight or watch a game. Not a dinner option.

So I've been going to Porters for the last 4-5 years. Sadly over the last few months the food has gotten worse and worse. Tonight I ordered the steak tacos and there was absolutely no steak in them. So very disappointed. The fish tacos were also burnt. I so enjoy this place and hope this decline is not going to continue!

Outstanding food, friendly service. Truly a great neighborhood spot to meet up with friends!
