Atlanta’s Most Exciting Summer Restaurant Openings - Atlanta - The Infatuation

"Portillo's, known for its Chicago-style hotdogs and Italian beef sandwiches, is opening its first restaurant in the Southeast. The new Kennesaw location will have indoor and outdoor seating, as well as its signature double drive-thru lanes. No word if we have to refer to sodas as "pop" here." - jacinta howard, juli horsford

Chicago Hot Dog Chain Portillo’s Is Considering Expanding to Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"A Chicago-born fast-casual chain that began in 1963 with a hot dog stand in Villa Park and has since grown into a multi-location, billion-dollar brand. It’s best known for Chicago-style hot dogs (yellow mustard, relish, celery salt, chopped onions, tomatoes, pickle spear, and peppers), chili dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, cheese fries, thick shakes, and chocolate cake. The company is actively expanding in the Southeast—eyeing the Atlanta metro and state of Georgia with consideration to open roughly six to eight restaurants within a single metropolitan area—while also targeting Houston, Nevada, and Colorado; recent openings (including a January debut in the Dallas area) drew hour‑long lines and heavy demand. Specific Atlanta locations and an official opening date have not been announced." - Beth McKibben

El Milagro Tortilla Employee Need Better COVID-19 Protection | Eater Chicago

"This chain rolled out an Italian beef bowl — thinly sliced beef, jus, and peppers served without the traditional French bread — that I noticed first appeared in August and later provoked debate on social media, with a timely tweet ruffling some Chicagoans who view the sandwich tradition as sacrosanct." - Naomi Waxman

The flavor was not like back home in the Italian beef but I know they can get it together. The hype definitely was here though people are definitely flocking to the new spot. As a local Chicago native the only thing missing was some flavor otherwise the chilli cheese dog was good strong pops and cool decor inside. I’d definitely come back or wait til Buford comes closer to me I drive 52 miles to check it out. It wasn’t all bad though nice family spot busy though parking and tables are limited due to the busy season. Great staff and customer service. Friendly people and nice atmosphere. Just need to tweak the flavor to like the one back home. Pricing is good and affordable. Quality products for the food just need that flavor like you can smell through the cold air in Chicago. It wasn’t not bad just lightly seasoned and Portillos is known for being the pioneers of the Italian beef so this part needs a little work otherwise I’d still come back and order it. I’m going to wait for the Mall of GA one to open just word to wise we Chicago folks expect the same quality or we be skeptical about it. A lot of chains have came and went due to lacking flavor only one I know hits in the food chain has been J & J gotta be on point with the seasonings it’s a lot of us Chi town Atlanta living folks and if it ain’t like back home we will tell everybody nah we wait til we get off the plane at Midway and run to Portillos always going and coming back so fix this please we believe in second chances. great location and beautiful restaurant great vibe.

Google
Couldn’t give it anything else. Not only is the food just as good as the Portillo in Orlando Park (Chicagoland), and the feel is very similar. Interior is very similar (but missing the car in the rafters) with a nod to Kennesaw. Can’t go wrong with the Italian beef, hot dogs, fries and sausage. But also try their chopped salad (not chopped as finely as the Chicago version) with their signature dressing and pasta pieces. My all time favorite. Another favorite is the chocolate cake milk shake. Order at the kiosk, or better yet, the real person and they will call out your number.

Google
Lots of traffic but easily found a parking spot. Got in line at 5:00pm and ordered by 5:07pm. Cashier was friendly enough, but they were out of the hot peppers which was disappointing. I ordered the Italian Beef Dipped with Sweet Peppers (wanted sweet & hot but they said no hot). My husband got the Chicago Dogs. I also got a side of cheese which was a good price for the amount. Dining room drink machine was out of ice, but they quickly got us some from behind the counter. Inside was very very loud so we sat outside, luckily a nice day! We got our food by 5:24pm which was pretty quick considering the amount of people in the lobby and drive thru. Italian Beef was great but it definitely needed the hot peppers. Chicago Dogs were great, very flavorful. $30 total for two meals plus the cheese. I really REALLY wish I could know how the sandwich would have been with the hot peppers, because I feel like it would have made that much of a difference.

Google
Portillos is always a staple whenever you’re in Chicago. They finally branched out and it’s definitely a must stop when I’m Kennesaw and soon to be Buford. The food was good (not as great as back in Chicago) but that was to be expected. Atmosphere was great just wish they could have done it more like the original stores with all the props and pictures from Chicago. Just glad Georgia is finally getting some decent food places.

Google
Portillo’s FINALLY is in ATL!!! Kennesaw to be exact. I love Portillo’s, been a life long relationship with orgins in Chicagoland! It has been crazy and super busy since it opened last month! Love it! Definitely need to open more locations. Staff are hard working and friendly. They always have have quality and tasty food in my opinion. The italian beefs dipped w/ hot and sweet peppers and cheese fry combo.. Perfection. Keep up the excellent work Portillo’s! Make sure to join their Perks rewards too for goodies ;)

Google
We had a really good time. Everyone in my family got something different and then we all tried a Chicago dog. The portions of the entree items were much bigger than anticipated. I got a double cheese burger thinking it would be a standard fast food double cheese burger and it was MUCH larger than I thought. The staff were very kind to us. Even though they were busy, they made an effort to help every customer with direct attention. They had people on the floor constantly cleaning tables and picking up trash. All our food was hot and fresh and the orders were correct which was the best part.

Google
Unbelievably delicious. From the Chicago Dog to the Chili Cheese Dog to the Fries with Cheese Sauce. Not a drop was left behind. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. What a great job Portillo’s! You set the bar very high. I can’t wait to return. And trust me, my return will be very soon.

Google
Welcome to ATL!! Portillo's holds a special place in my heart and tummy, I am elated it's finally here and close by. I was there for the grand opening and did not mind the wait...it was absolutely worth every minute and bite. I encourage the fans to support and enjoy and naysayers go elsewhere but I hope they find some patience and grace. It is brand new to Georgia and try something new you may just stay. Yes the lines were long (the very 1st day), yes the staff was friendly, yes the food was fresh and original taste from Chicago. Happy 100th store Portillo's and again welcome to GA ♥️ Please take care of the staff as you would your customers. Staff...visit a Chicago Portillo's to find out how things go (swift friendly service and hot fresh food) please never change not one ingredient and thrive here and all your locations. I'm looking into investing into the stock and will always be a regular consumer. Bravo!!! 🤗 Thank You ♥️ blessings, now let's Eat

Yelp
Man oh man I've been counting down the days until my favorite restaurant opened. Went today for the sneak peek and it did not disappoint!! I had the Maxwell St. Polish and it was sooo delicious. I'm just exactic that Portillo's is now only a drive away. I will be here often. Can't wait to eat a Beef and a burger next week!

Jonathan A.

Yelp
I love Portillo's!!! I was there for the soft opening and grand opening and the food was amazing as usual Being from Chicago, I had high expectations and I was not disappointed! The line was insane for the opening but the food came out fast and service was excellent! Although my favorite item, the beef and cheddar croissant, is not on the menu yet, the burgers, Italian beef, chicken tenders, and fries were great! I'll be eating here frequently

Jerry M.

Yelp
I was born and raised in Chicago and have enjoyed Portillos for YEARS! I felt like I was your biggest advertisement; calling my family and friends telling them you were open this weekend. We had a big beef like usual..to say that was disappointed is an understatement. Yes the beef was delicious however the amount of beef wasnt like usual; which made it more soggy! I just was in Chicago in October and went to Portillos- don't take away what this brand represent..Portillos means something to us Chicago transplants, it is a piece of home...

Yelp
Portillo's was great to me. I have my standing order I have always gotten In Chicago. Italian combination (beef with Italian sausage on one sandwich), American cheese, dipped, hot and sweet peppers. Extra hot pepper and gravy on the side. I anticipated them not knowing how to properly dip it. I was right! Top of bread was dry, and bottom was wet! Cheese fry, and a sprite. Tasted just like the one on Ontario and Clark downtown Chicago. My other standing order is a cheddar burger with cheddar, bacon, pickles, onion, mayo, mayo and hot peppers. Didn't get it yet, but next trip I will. Food was fresh and hot! No complaints here. It was crowded. I went on the third day they opened. Drive through was packed and cops directing traffic.

Yelp
Portillo's - Kennesaw, GA Portillo's in Kennesaw did not disappoint. The service was great from start to finish--friendly, efficient, and welcoming. I ordered the Italian beef with sausage, topped with hot and sweet peppers, and it was outstanding. The flavors were on point and delivered that true Chicago-style experience. The burger was solid as well--fresh, juicy, and cooked just right. I also had the fries, and dipping them in cheese was a must. To finish it off, I had the chocolate cake and the chocolate cake shake, and both were exactly as indulgent as you'd hope--rich, classic, and worth every bite. What really stood out was the nostalgia. This place genuinely reminded me of being back in Champaign and Chicago, which made the experience even better. I'll definitely be back and would highly recommend stopping by if you're craving authentic Portillo's flavor.

Yelp
Having grown up in Chicago, I have been looking forward to Portillo's opening in Kennesaw. Today we went to the new Portillo's in Kennesaw, between lunch and dinner, the crowd was heavy, but moving. I got the Big Beef, Dipped, with sweet and hot peppers, as well as a regular Chicago dog with everything, fries and cheese sauce. Ordering was super efficient. The cashier took our orders and we were issued our order number, just like in Chicago. Our food was ready within 10 minutes. The jumbo beef was identical to the jumbo beef I've ordered in Chicago. The beef was dipped to perfection and had ample amounts of sweet and hot peppers. The Chicago dogs were the real deal, served on S, Rosens buns. Ambiance was upbeat with a mix of GA and Illinois decorations with classic rock playing in the background. Now we have a real place to get Beef and Hotdogs, As always Portillo's exceeded expectations. Disregard anyone who has written negative things about Portillo's, they are ignorant. Do yourself a favor, go to Portillo's and order the big beef, sweet and hot, dipped!!!!

Yelp
10 stars We had been to Portillos in Chicago & dreamed of it since so were thrilled to see this come to ga! We got a hot dog each and a sausage combo to share & it was as good as we remembered The drive through is like chick FIL a, two lines & they take your order from the line so don't let the long lines scare you away! The picture doesn't look great but let me tell you it was delicious we got out beef dipped but maybe don't do that if you're not eating it right away haha

Yelp
Over 1hr drive to get to this new location of PORTILLOS! We were shopping in the area so why not! No long crazy lines but the police had the entrance parking blocked off. You have to make a U-turn to enter and go to the drive thru or park at a nearby parking area! I just opted for the drive thru. It was fast about 7min I had my food! I was looking for tamales/ribs/pasta which are items at other locations I saw on menus online! This Portillo's doesn't offer those items, maybe later! We really enjoyed the food we ordered. There will be a location opening in Gwinnett and that's when I will enjoy portillos again cause that drive will be a good 10min away then!

Yelp
Well, consistency matters!!! Being that my Hubs is a Chicagoan, we love Portillo's and we're super excited to learn that they were expanding to GA! Finally made the trip from Henry County and it did not disappoint. It was definitely worth the drive. The restaurant is nicely decorated, as are all Portillo locations, the Customer Service was exceptional, and though it was super busy, they got us in and out expeditiously! The food was hot and fresh and tasted delicious as it always does. Just an overall great experience. We will definitely be back very soon.

Yelp
I checked out Portillo's during their opening week in Kennesaw. I went on that Friday night it was packed inside and the drive thru line was long, but thankfully I didn't have that long of a wait to order and I was able to find seating inside. Since this was my first time I wanted to try everything so I got a classic Italian beef, Chicago dog, single cheeseburger and fries. It was a lot of food so of course I didn't finish every thing. I tried the Italian beef first I did add sweet peppers which is an added cost. It was just okay. I don't really know what I was expecting but I wasn't impressed. Then I tried the Chicago dog. It was pretty good, but not something I see myself eating often. The burger was actually the best thing that I tried. I like that it tasted flame broiled and it was a nice since. I would definitely return if I was in the mood for a burger.

Yelp
Portillo's in Kennesaw is definitely worth a visit! I stopped by to check out the hype, and overall it was a great experience. The food came out fresh, the flavors were solid, and the menu has plenty of options whether you're craving a classic Chicago dog, Italian beef, or something sweet. The portions were good, and everything tasted just how you'd expect from Portillo's. The only reason I didn't give it five stars is because the wait was a bit longer than expected, but the staff was friendly and worked hard to keep things moving. The restaurant was clean, lively, and had that fun Portillo's vibe you can't miss. If you're in the area and hungry for something hearty and nostalgic, this spot is definitely worth swinging by. I'd come back!
google avatar

Yelp
I am a Chicago native so this was a much anticipated opening. I knew it would be crowded on the first week but we went for lunch anyway today. The restaurant is where the old On The Border restaurant use to be right off the highway so you can't miss it. When we arrived the parked lot was full and the line out the door. Since there was no parking we went through the drive thru which was packed. I was impressed how fast we got through the line. We all got the Italian beef sandwiches with onion rings. Everything was just as I expected it to be, delicious! Will be back for some Chicago Dogs next.

Yelp
I was invited to a Sneak Peak event before the grand opening next week and invited my wife to join me. I had fond memories of Portillo's hot dogs and Italian beef sandwiches from 30 years ago when I used to travel to Chicago and my wife had never been to any of their locations. I was excited to learn of this new location being built but was fearful of my expectations being too high. I opted for the Italian beef and sausage combo with a side of fries and cheese sauce. My wife got the normal Italian beef. We were not disappointed as it was even better than I remember! Everything was prepared hot and fresh. Just the right amount of gravy on my sandwich with both sweet and hot peppers. It was delicious. The location has been rebuilt from the ground up and it was beautiful inside. The only negative was the service as it took around 15 minutes to get our food but we did not mind as this was the sneak peek with their workers getting ramped up before grand opening. I have no doubt they will work it out. It was well worth the wait. We finished off with a delicious slice of fresh chocolate cake. We cannot wait to come back for the grand opening next week!

Yelp
I was excited to try the new and raved about Portillo's Kennesaw location soon after it opened, especially after seeing the reviews online. The experience could have been better, but as you can imagine with any new place, the lot was packed with one way in and out of the parking lot a week after opening on a Friday evening. The line was long but you could order online for pick up if you didn't want to wait as long. We waited in the line. It took about 30 minutes to get through the line to order. We ordered a few Chicago style hotdogs, fries, onion rings, cheese sauce and cheese burgers. The service was fine, and it only took about 10-15 minutes to get our food after ordering. It seemed like there were a lot of employees working the counter, cooking and checking to ensure the ice and drinks were full. The bathroom was clean. I liked the fries and cheese sauce and the burger was pretty good and fresh. The Chicago style dog was just okay to me. I would probably try this place again after the hype dies down, but did not find the visit worth the special trip or long wait. It felt a little chaotic getting in and out. My husband said it reminded him of their Chicago location and he liked the hotdog a lot too.

Yelp
So my bro girlfriend is from Indiana and he visited with her like 2 years ago. They went to one of the restaurants location there. I never visited the area. I've been waiting to taste the food since they opened on Nov 18th. I found about the grand opening before it happened.I've been wanting to ride with my bro and get some food. He's been working extremely hard with no days off so it didn't happen. My sister Medinah lives in Madison Tennessee and she came down to visit I knew that she would be passing the restaurant so I gave her a list and I cash app her for my order on 12-11-2025. I accidentally ordered the jumbo onion rings and fries don't do it I didn't know how much of food it was going to be. I got a now and later list some food for now and some food for later. I got a hot dog or chi dog with everything on it and the sport peppers on the side. I also got a chilli cheese hot dog one of my favorites. I also got a cheeseburger and of course I got a large cheese sauce. I saw that on YouTube someone went to a portillos location in Chicago and got a beef and cheddar croissant dipped in aju which is delicious with the sweet and hot peppers so I got one. I got a Italian Beef Sandwich dipped in aju with the sweet and hot peppers also. I also had to get the infamous cake shake! The food here is delicious! I'm in the Decatur GA area so this is a distance from me at the moment. Iykyk about Portillos and the delicious food and the history! Do yourself a favor and pull up to check them out and support. If you are not in the area it's not going to be in distance on your Uber Eats at all.
google avatar

Ann C.

Yelp
First of all, the service here is impeccable. Very impressive. It is insanely crowded and busy because of the fact that it's a new restaurant here in Atlanta. But worth the wait. You have to try a Chicago dog, the Italian beef, the fries, the milkshakes, and the chocolate cake. The place is really cool inside. Watching the hustle and bustle of the crew makes you even hungrier. There's a great patio area outside that seats probably 50 people. We ate outside because it's such a nice day.
google avatar

Rich S.

Yelp
Meh. Decent hot dog: big in flavor, but small in size. I was disappointed in the fries. They looked crispy, but the texture was soft. They were also over salted. The most impressive part of the visit was the staff. They were friendly and conscientious-- kudos to them. Otherwise, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back. Cheers. RS

Yelp
It was satisfying, I've eaten at a lot of portillos since my significant other and I shacked up 13 years ago. As a native New Yorker who enjoys tubular meat on a roll with adornments. Was quite satisfied. Now I don't have to buy on line portillos anymore. Very expensive for a craving, usually we make this a family event, invite the kids the in laws and go all out on the Chicago beef experience... Usually we get the number one and number two and split it. This way we get the bed of both worlds. Number one is the Italian beef sandwich dipped and with sweet peppers and Giardiniera. ( I still have trouble pronouncing this) and the number two is a pair of Chicago hots. With fries and a drink. That hit the spot... fortunately for us we arrived at the kennesaw location at 1045 which was ample time to get a spot to park and watch the people line up. If anything, this shows just how many transplants from the mid west there are here in the Atlantaland ( did you catch that? Chicagoland? Atlantaland?) LOL ANYHOO, Service was as it usually is a 15 min wait . Gives you a chance to get familiar with the new restaurant. The restaurant is one of the smaller ones I've been to. Not to take anything away from anything but it was a worthy trip. Next time my wife is hankering for a trip down Chicago way, I'll bring her here to Calm her down. Cant go wrong with that neon green relish or the sport peppers! It's 645 and I'm still full!!! lol
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
I used to live in Chicago and loved Portillo's there, was so glad to find everything at this new Kennesaw location to be just as tasty! You can't go wrong with anything on their menu but my favorite is the Italian sausage sandwich with sweet peppers and a side of onion rings. It comes out to hot to initially eat but it smells and tastes so good, you can't help yourself. The bread (bun) is so fresh and warm, it really adds to your enjoyment. It's crazy how friendly and efficient the staff is here, it's a new location and slammed busy so you would think they'd be still working out the kinks but that's not the case. Don't be deterred by a long order line, they'll move you through quickly. I can't wait for their Cumming, GA location to open!
google avatar

Daniel M.

Yelp
Well you can tell its new. The line was out the door. Like Always,I studied the menu long before i arrived. So when i got there i already decided on a italian beef, italion sausage sandwitch. I chose hot peppers on the side. Crinkle cut fries and a cheese sauce. I chose jumbo cheese sauce, but would have been find with the smaller size. Really the jumbo is enough for 2. The italion sausage was great with the right amout of snap to it. Yea even without being dipped. I found it to be messy, but in a good way. Make sure to get a slice of chocolate cake. What i found interesting, a slice of cake wasn't overly expensive. Now i did spend about $28 for one meal. However I probably could have cut back with not so large of cheese sauce. However the food was still greaat and every bit worth the $28. Give em a try. I will be back.

Jake B.

Yelp
Nostalgic experience! Portillos executed very well considering the building was so packed you could barely walk. So excited to have this locally to us and we will be regulars to this establishment. The building is decked out just like Chicago locations staff was friendly and of course the food was just like Chicago! Already planning our next trip back!
google avatar

Javier M.

Yelp
Being from Chicago, they nailed it. Everything tasted the same. So glad they made it to GA.
google avatar

Leslie R.

Yelp
The food is irresistible! Best Italian beef sandwich ever! Go Chicago!! So excited in Metro Atlanta area.. I hope more locations open soon!! Go and enjoy it! Try it you may like it!!
google avatar

Samantha S.

Yelp
Overall, the food was very average. I ordered through the drive-thru, and the small fries were extremely small. The hotdogs were also pretty mediocre. On top of that, I didn't receive the ranch I asked for, even though it was printed on my receipt. Not the best experience.

Janet B.

Yelp
I'm from Chicago and loved their chopped chicken salad but I have to admit that it was not fresh. The dressing is nice but the 2 portions are small. Service is friendly and they are still figuring out all the details. Unfortunately the parking is brutal as it is very small. Long lines which will probably improve in a month or so, we hope. Restaurant interior is nice but a lot smaller than the restaurants in Chicago I used to visit. They had a salad bar in the Chicago restaurant which I think would have improved the experience.
google avatar

Amber M.

Yelp
ATL finally got a Portillo's and baby... it's worth every bit of the hype. Georgia's first one and they did NOT play. Chicago folks, come get y'all taste of home.
google avatar

Yelp
Chocolate cake shakes and dipped Italian beef - 10/10! I also love having Polishes and Chicago hot dogs so close to the house.
google avatar

Mark F.

Yelp
Absolutely outstanding!!! Just like being in Chicago! Everything was fantastic - including the chocolate cake - phenomenal! Service was on point and the atmosphere was buzzing. The Chick-fil-A of beef!!
google avatar

ChristianMadi T.

Yelp
Tourist spot. Over priced for a medium amount of food. Food was decent, nothing special, with up charge options for anything and everything. Went here once because we had a gift card, wouldn't be coming back to spend money here. Sorry!
google avatar

Rob M.

Yelp
Went to a special event! Sneak peak and let me tell you the food was amazing! Had a set menu you had to order and they had some great options to choose from! Service was fast and staff was friendly! Place was busy and those that got an invite the meal was completely free! Ambiance was great had all kinds knick knacks all over the walls and ceiling! We'll be back maybe in about two months for the hype to go down!
google avatar

Jessica K.

Yelp
Worst experience ever. The chaos of the parking lot is so insane they had to hire police officers to direct traffic. There is nowhere to sit. The people who work here (one in particular who was bragging about working for the company for 27 years) was more interested in flirting with customers than actually working. Customers are super rude. The food was underwhelming at best. 0 stars but I have to give 1 because it won't let me give 0.
google avatar

LaTasha A.

Yelp
I'm from Chicago so of course I had to check it out. Service and friendliness is amazing. Definitely still some growing pains they have to go through, but I expect things to continue getting better. Pack your patience because you are going to experience crowds and line. Food tastes great. Patiently waiting on the spring and the lemon cake!!!! I used to purposely go home just for that!

Marcelle K.

Yelp
My family went to Portillo's on a midweek evening. Aside from the crazy traffic, parking challenges, and huge crowds, the order kiosk made it easy and explained the process. A very kind employee cleaned the booth I secured and directed my family to the booth. Our food order was called out, my husband picked it up, and we each tried a Chicago dog and an Italian Beef. Loved the food, especially the giardiniera on the Italian beef. We are happy that Portillo's is here, and we will be back soon!

Brian O.

Yelp
Hits the spot if you're looking for a Chicago dog. Drive-thru line went super quick (under 5 minutes). No complaints!

Yelp
This place is brand new to Kennesaw but it is worth the wait. The ambiance is great with good music playing, friendly staff and decor. The food was absolutely amazing and delicious. Can't wait to go back there!!!

Yelp
Not happy with the 1st experience. Got the Italian Beef sandwich, didn't really have any flavor and it was wet like someone left it in a pool. This was a drive through order.

Yelp
Tried it for the first time. Their hotdogs is mid. Very overpriced. Nothing really special about the food. It is just a glorified cookout.

Yelp
Have you ever wanted to sit in a drive-thru for two hours, then pick up the food you ordered that was made 70 minutes ago? Is your main problem with a sausage, italian beef, or hot dog that it's served hot and not ice cold? Do you need fries that are not crispy, but instead soft and limp enough to gum? Then come on down to Portillos! If you can't handle the number of people ordering at your restaurant, stop taking new orders. This is exactly as bad as Whataburger and every other overhyped, overrated chain that has shown up in Georgia. Perhaps when people stop coming, the food will improve.

Yelp
We visited this location on Monday. Apparently, they opened over the weekend. The lines were long as expected. The beef sandwiches and loaded hot dogs were good, but I forgot to dip my beef. I don't usually eat hot dogs, but Portillo's is the exception. This location did not deviate from the original location in Chicago. It was worth the drive to Kennesaw.

Yelp
Traffic is terrible and it's overrated this place have police out front for whatever reason I do not know and it messes up people that have to come home this way to. It's just absolutely terrible. I understand it's business but is the residence in this area happy absolutely not.

Yelp
Your application won't let me identify the Kennesaw GA location. As. Result I couldn't order for take out stated there wasn't a location available which is not true. While I'm here I ate there this afternoon tried to order the number 1 choice from the menu board. It's shown as a combination but is charged ala carte. You should state that to avoid deceptive advertising. Fix your website!

Yelp
Although Portillo is not the best Italian beef in Chicago it may be the best in Atlanta. Got the double dipped sandwich with fries. Sandwich was very good and big enough to take half home. Bonus, it warmed up very well in microwave. Worth stopping by if you're in Kennesaw.

Yelp
Sneak peek was great! Beef just like in Chicago. Beautiful building. Love this place and will be here often.

Yelp
I ordered the chopped salad with chicken, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The salad was made almost entirely of the tough, white romaine ribs, with very few of the green, leafy parts. This made the texture very chewy and not what I expected from a fresh chopped salad. The chicken and dressing were fine, but the base ingredient quality really impacted the meal." Not what I expected given my experience with Portillos in Chicago.

Yelp
I've been holding my breath till this place opened up. As a former Chicago and I knew what I was looking for. I have the Chicago dog today and something is missing. I think it might be the celery salt - at least I'm hoping that's what's missing because something didn't taste quite right. I am looking forward to my next adventure at Portillo's, which will be the Italian beef sandwich with all the fixings. You can bet I will let you know what I think after I've been there.

Yelp
I was very disappointed in the amount of beef that was in my big beef sandwich. After living in land area most of my life moving to hearing that there was a Portillo's I couldn't wait. However, after eating my sandwich and very disappointed with the amount of beef that was on there. I truly hope in the future when I get this sandwich that it is with the amount of beef that I expect to have on it! there is nothing like taking that first bite of the sandwich and getting all that juicy beef. I was very disappointed when all I tasted was soggy bread.!
