Had a great dinner at Porzia's. The brussel sprout appetizer was a fabulous starter. Crispy, sweet, bitter and spicy all in one bite. So well balanced, they were probably my favourite part of the meal! The Lasagna bolognese was delicious and tasted like home. Lots of thin noodles, well seasoned sauce and a generous shred of cheese. Loved the crispy edges. To finish we ordered the soft serve tiramisu. It was so good. Light creamy and deliciously refreshing after the heavy lasagna. The meal was great but everything else was on point too. The ease of parking, the small and cozy interior, the clean washrooms and the excellent servers. I definitely will go back.

Came here for dinner with a few friends and omg, the Lasagne Bolognese was amazing! There were so many layers, and the filling-to-pasta ratio was absolutely perfect. The pasta was cooked al dente and the sauce was incredibly rich and flavorful. The portion was perfect for me (maybe slightly big for others, but that’s a bonus in my book). I also ordered a side of broccolini which was surprisingly good. It was on the tangy side, which was perfect for cutting through the richness of the pasta and cheese between bites. To finish, we had the Tiramisu soft serve... and such a delicious way to end the night. The restaurant itself is a small cozy spot, so I recommend making reservations ahead of time. My friend who brought me here mentioned that they are always fully booked.

Prozia's truly deserves to be called fine dining. From the moment you walk through the door, you feel genuinely taken care of. I had one of the best meals here with my fiancé. The orange wine is an absolute must. I can't even describe how incredible the lasagna was. The appetizer was just as impressive and literally melted in my mouth.

Food was alright. Kind of disappointed after hearing about all of the hype. It’s a smaller restaurant and has a very cute vibe for a date night. The lasagne itself was overdone and a bit mushy. The mushroom ravioli we thought lacked flavour and the raw mushrooms shaved on top was an odd flavour choice. The focaccia with parm was a nice way to start the meal off. Our fav was the beet salad with pistachios. We had the ricotta cheesecake as well, which was nice and light, but not mind blowing. I don’t think we will be returning.

This spot is a little outside the core Toronto area, so it might take a bit to get there, but it’s totally worth it. The lasagne was beautifully made and the seafood spaghetti was super tasty. The lasagne portion is quite generous, so I’d recommend sharing it with someone. For starters, the calamari was great, and the bruschetta was honestly one of the best I’ve had. For dessert, we went for the soft serve and we demolished it in seconds. I also tried their mocktail Light Wave, which was so good — not too sweet at all, which I really appreciated since most mocktails tend to be. The space itself is small and cozy, with that relaxed, tucked-away feel. Definitely worth the trip.

I loved my dining experience here. The food was amazing. They are known for their lasagna, and rightly so, but we also ordered the tagliatelle, and it was so good. The texture was just right, the pasta was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was creamy but light. I could finish the plate and more all by myself. As for the lasagna, we ordered the Bolognese version. It was tasty, but if I have to nitpick, I wish there were more sauce. For appetizers, we had the beets and the oroshi, really enjoyed both dishes. We ended the night with the tiramisu soft-serve ice cream. It was delicious. Service was excellent. The lady who was serving us was very attentive. Overall, 5 stars. Their Google rating is well deserved. I would definitely return to try other dishes on their menu. There's a nearby Green P parking lot that's only a short 5 min walk. It's a small lot but luckily our dinner reservation was late at 8:15pm so we were lucky to get a spot. There is also many paid street parking around the area.

I normally don’t leave Google reviews, but this one is so bad that I feel like I have to leave one so that I can warn anyone else to not try their lasagna or not to come, because it’s such a waste. I heard of this restaurant from other people online so I booked marked it and was so excited to come here and try out their lasagna. So my bf and I went there for lunch on Saturday, we ordered the fried calamari and lasagna bolognese. The fried calamari was okay, but the lasagna was really, really, really bad. First, we got the corner piece, the corner part was burnt and outside of it turned completely dark. Fun story when they were making the order me and my boyfriend smelled something is burning, turn out was our piece of lasagna was burned…. Not sure if other people had the same problem.. The lasagna itself was pretty flavourless and salty at the same time, The outside part which is covered with cheese and sauce is pretty salty ( just salty, without any flavour of the spice), but the inside is really soggy and flavourless, if there is no sauce, I feel like eating a plain dough. And these cost me ard $65 before tip. This is The WORST lasagna that we have ever had in Toronto. Do you guys know the feeling that you really don’t like this but because you spent money on this, you have to finish this to make it worth? (We still could not finish it at the end because it was BAD). In conclusion, I wasted my quota of a meal and wasted my money at this place. I don’t know why there are so many people hyping about their lasagna, my advice is -DON’T. And the waitresses didn’t even ask us how did we think about the food during the whole meal, maybe they already knew the answer so they chose not to.

Had a wonderful meal here with a group of friends. We had the nonnas special which was well worth the $70! Highlights were definitely the appetisers, corn ravioli, crudo and focaccia (add on). The lasagna was impressive but could use more burnt/crispy edges for more flavour. Got really full before the last meat course was served and could’ve have done without it. Service was beyond excellent. Restaurant was a bit too smoky at times. Would definitely go back!

Service was good and quick. The lasagna Bolognese was over hyped. The noodles were overcooked and the sauce was bland. Huge portion though. The calamari was also underwhelming (looks slightly under fried), but the aioli and chili oil was delicious. The tagliatelle was slightly salty but very good. The tiramisu soft-serve was ok.

I booked a reservation in advance and was surprised by how busy it was for a Monday in January so I'm glad we booked ahead. It's very easy to miss, as the front facade doesn't have a sign other than on the window. Our server was very nice! We shared calamari and salads to start then each got a pasta, followed by dessert. The tiramisu ice cream was by far my favourite. The lasagna bolognese was also delicious.

Has to visit for the infamous lasagna! The vibe of the restaurant was homey and cozy. The food was good overall, the lasagna was definitely unlike any other I've had, would recommend. The service was also pleasant.

Porzia's came to my attention after eating a very disappointingly sized lasagna in a more fancier part of town, where I was introduced to a place where much more substantially sized lasagna was what they are known for. Of course I had to try, of course the occasion became my own birthday to finally live out my inner Garfield. Small and dimly lit as these places tend to be, with an equal mix of bar/window counter and table seating; the classy hip vibes inside gave way to great efficient service and even greater highly anticipated grub. Of the two lasagna options, the lasagne bolognese ($29) comes with a pool of meat sauce, but holy moly, so many noodle layers, so soft and packed with tomato sauce flavour. It looks small, but is quite dense and filling, it was heaven on a plate. Absolutely would demolish another one.

I get why everyone is going crazy over the lasagna - the paper thin noodles give it an absolutelt outstanding silky texture, the taste is richly creamy, and the portion size is good. Easily one of the best lasagnas in the city. Also got a few other dishes. The prosciutto was properly salty-sweet, though would have liked more figs to balance it out. The brussell sprouts were tasty but a bit drowned out by the oil (I prefer mine crispier). The ricotta agnolotti was a winner with a generous heaping of buttery sauce and mushrooms, and again a beautifully textured pasta. The tiramisu had a twist with soft serve on top. And the torta caprese was a great end to the meal with the grappa cream elevating the nutty chocolate cake. Service was outstanding - welcoming, informed, efficient. Prices were reasonable for the quality. Place has a casual vibe. Definitely stop by if you're craving for good Italian food.

Porzia's menu changes frequently with a focus on seasonal ingredients, which allowed me to try one of the sweetest cantaloupes I've ever experienced. If you've ever had musk melon, the two slices in the prosciutto and melon ($18) rivaled the prized melon in sweetness and went wonderfully with the freshly shaved Parma prosciutto, which was especially delicious when I sampled a slice covered in olive oil. One dish that's constant on the menu is their lasagna, offered in a "classico" or "bolognese" format. Given I like my pasta saucier, we ordered the lasagne bolognese ($26) a hefty brick of pasta with so many layers of pasta and cheese that sat in a pool of meat sauce and was covered with finely shaved cheese. The fresh pasta was silky and soft except for the top layer that's broiled adding a crispiness to the otherwise soft dish. If you like pasta, you'll swoon over this dish. And while it was delicious, it was also heavy and could use more sauce between the layers. What impressed me was the tagliatelle with red shrimp al limone ($29), a lighter pasta that's nonetheless a flavour bomb. I had to ask for a spoon to properly enjoy the sauce: a combination of chili peppers, rich olive oil, and slivers of garlic that ends with a lemon note that's not overly acidic. After having bites of lasagna, I found the dish so refreshing and the tagliatelle chewy but still silky. Porzia's you need to make this a staple. As a secondi we shared the acqua pazza sea bass ($38), which consisted of two fair-sized pieces of perfectly poached fish cooked just to the point of flaking. The broth had a rustic feel to it with chunks of stewed onion, tomato, and artichokes amongst a host of herbs and white wine. If you like fish stews or bouillabaisse, this is the dish for you.

Porzia's located in Oakwood Village along Oakwood Ave and Earlsdale Ave serves up everyone's favourite lasagna! Porzia's started off as a weekly operation where their pre-orders often sold out quickly due to the limited amount of lasagnas they would make per week. I actually had heard about them when they first started doing the pre-orders amidst the pandemic but never got the chance to try their lasagna...until now. The restaurant has a mix of bar and table seating where they are open for lunch as well as dinner. I stopped by Porzia's for lunch on a Thursday around lunchtime. The restaurant had a few customers but also wasn't busy. I opted to sit at the bar. Their lunch menu has less items than their dinner menu but still have the lasagnas they are known for. They also have a good wine list where you can either get a glass or a whole bottle to share. I opted for the lasagna classico (vegetarian). My food was made at a reasonable time and service was friendly. In terms of the food, the portion of the lasagnas are quite huge! Definitely able to finish a portion if you are hungry (which I was). The layers of the pasta noodles with the sauce melds together with cheese to create a delicious experience. The tomato sauce has a tang to it and the shaved cheese at the top with the crust of the pizza satisfies you. Overall, delicious lasagna! Definitely would return for more!

No reservations were accepted, and we waited an hour for a table for four on a Friday night. Let me tell you, it was worth every minute. I frequently see Porzia's lasagna on Instagram, and it did not disappoint. It was multi-layered, multi-textured, and full of flavour. There were vegetarian and meal options. Our culinary adventure continued with a selection of equally delightful pasta dishes. And when it came to desserts, the choices were so tempting that I couldn't settle for just one. The chocolate and hazelnut ganache torta and the pistachio soft serve were both heavenly. The restaurant's ambiance was excellent, and the service was great. A small and quaint place, it gets intimate and cozy as the place fills up. It's a great place to catch up with friends or go for a date, though I suggest going with parties of 4 or less as the space is tight all around. The food was great, I plan to return to try their other dishes. My friend and I ordered the calamari, classic lasagna, and tagliatelle to share as our main dishes. We also ordered the tiramisu with ice cream and torte caprese for dessert. The tagliatelle was on the salty side, I had to cut every bite with a bite of lasagna. Hoping it's just a one-off, I'd order it again as the flavours were really great. The lasagna was very solid, it truly is a classic. You can't go wrong with that order. The desserts were my favourite, I could have the torte caprese everyday. Since there's no reservations, I arrived at 5:10pm and got seated right away. Given that it's Friday, I left at 7pm and there was a wait.

We had high hopes and expectations for them because of the hype and high ratings. I've had traditional Italian homemade 20- layer lasagna and also make my own 15- layer lasagna. The porzia Bolognese lasagna is definitely better than most other standard restaurants but it doesn't leave me wanting to return. The sauce didn't stand out, I liked the small bits of meat, however the pasta was too soft. I enjoyed the fresh tagliatelle, cooked very well with fresh plump mussels, again cooked perfectly. The herbs were a bit heavy handed and I didn't enjoy the flavor of it that much though. I thought the brussel sprouts dish was the best of the 3 things we ordered, but it got overly salty likely due to the anchovies.

This place is FANTASTIC. Starting with the service - staff is very friendly and attentive. In terms of the ambiance, we really enjoyed the open concept kitchen - I always love watching chefs in their element. And now for the food - perfection. Every dish was absolutely delicious from the two lasagnas, to the canestri a la vodka to the tiramisu sundae, everyone at the table was in love. We would definitely return.

Decided to come here for my best friend's birthday dinner after hearing how delicious their lasagna was. I feel like lasagna is not on a lot of menu's in the city so I wanted to understand the hype around this place and see if its actually worth it. I arrived before the rest of my group and the waitress who greeted me was very friendly and bubbly. She sat me down right away even though I was 15 min early for my reso time. The ambiance of the restaurant was modern, dimly lit, and very cool vibes. Nice little touches of old childhood photos im assuming from the owner's family. I loved all the darker colours and woody browns, it all worked really nicely. The rest of my party came and we got to ordering. Firstly, we got the lasagna with meat sauce (made with beef!) and it was marvellous - it tasted exactly like my Nonna's lasagna. And for everyone saying the pasta was too soft.... this is how lasagna is supposed to be. Its baked in an oven for a long period of time... its almost impossible to make it al dente. However, the cacio e pepe ravioli was perfectly cooked! and was nicely made, my other friends werent a fan but its a fairly simple dish. The eggplant parm was also a huge hit - crispy edges and delicious tomato sauce. Im not a huge eggplant person but I enjoyed this dish (be careful tho, it comes out super hot). I wish the focaccia was a bit softer tho but great idea to scoop up the delish sauce. and the soft serve tiramisu is SO GOOD!! BUT BE CAREFUL they add a ton of cocoa powder on the top so do not inhale when taking your first bite. Overall.... id say this place is worth the hype! Food was delicious, portions are decent, prices are a bit high but eh... at least the food was good IMO. And the service was lovely all around. My only issue is the tables are too close together, its hard to slide in and out without bothering the people next to you.

honestly, everything was so delicious fresh and hot. They accidentally gave us the wrong pasta so they let us keep the past on the house - no complaints because it was delicious Their signature lasagna obviously was bomb. The ratio to pasta and sauce was perfect. The flavor profile tasted very homemade and with love. But I would have to stay the star of the show is the mussel pasta. It's such an easy dish to make but so many restaurants do it wrong. A lot of the places are either too salty or to underseasoned or too watery. This place made it just right. It's oddly tasted creamy. The other star of the show was the tiramisu ice cream. I thought it would just be flavored ice cream but actually it was a very cheesy tiramisu on top with a soft serve. So good can't wait to come back. My only complaint is that there's very limited seating in the bar sitting is not the comfiest. Remember it's walk in only if you are a party under six.

Calamari was great, light and delicious. mushroom toast was good but I wouldn't get it again. We went for the Lasagna but we found it to be too soft. It was heavy and filling but it wasn't a standout for us as we expected it to be the star of the show. What did stand out for us which was a pleasant surprise was the Soicy Canestri. It was actually very spicy and delicious! Would go back for that for sure!

Been here almost half a dozen times and never been disappointed. Amazing lasagna and fresh pastas. Service is fast and friendly and everything is excellent value.

Service was fine. The wait was long. One hour. Food was fine, but not exceptional. Wine was really overpriced. Wouldn't go back.

OMG the lasagna! Loved the vibe of this small gem. Great to have great choices in the neighborhood.

Only had one night in Toronto and this restaurant CRUSHED. pure deliciousness. Great vibe. Sofia was a great server -- guided us the right way start to finish. This will be my go to. Tried most of menu and not a single miss.

Food was pretty good, not the best I have ever had but ok. The wait for a table was 1 1/2 hours. The wine was terribly overpriced and mediocre. We won't return.

if you care about disabled people and their rights, DO NOT EAT HERE. the restaurant has only a window sign which is nearly impossible to see from the street. we drive by again and finally have to stop and phone to get directions. we arrived at 5:15 on a Wednesday. myself, my husband, my son and my service dog. we are dressed nicely as we just came from the theatre, the dog is clearly marked as a service dog. she is clean and has no smell and of course is behaving like the lady she is. a young lady meets us at the door and asks 'how may'. I joke '3' and gesturing to the dog, I say 'and a half'. she leaves and a man, presumably maître D, asks to see my dog's papers. I say I don't have to show anything as she is clearly marked. normally I just show my dr letter which is the only form of proof in Ontario. but something about this guy was fishy. He leaves and comes back saying that the restaurant is fully booked with reservations EVEN AT THE BAR. until 8:30. really? Mind you the place is nearly empty. He shows me a tablet with a schedule which he holds too far away for me to see. I ask him which papers he wishes to see. 'ah, registration papers, I've seen them before.' There is NO REGISTRATION in Ontario for service dogs. what he's been shown is a card anyone can get for $20 online. Someone for a joke registered their iguana as a service dog. that's how real these cards are. I offer to show the dr letter which I don't have to show but I do have. nope. no go. so I tell him I think he is not seating us because of the dog. he says thats not it but there is zero understanding, regret or compassion in his voice. even when i mention its my son's birthday and he's been wanting to come here for weeks. we don't live in the city so its a 90 minute or so drive. so my dog is excluded while others, potential fakes, are allowed in with a laminated card that means NOTHING. great way to run a restaurant. obviously we will not be coming back. I hope all of you who read this far will never go here.

Went through the hoops to order a tray of lasagne a few weeks back. For $75, my guests and I thought it very average (the bolognese - meat version), although it would have easily served 6 instead of 4. I followed the directions given exactly, except there was no instruction as to what to do with the container of the bolognese "gravy" - I heated it separately and then poured in on top. Perhaps the portions would have been juicier had I poured it over the dish before baking; but I don't think it would have changed our opinion: very average when compared to home-made (despite, obviously, my spending a lot less trouble and time!). Nothing was nasty, nothing outstanding - it could have used some ricotta or bechamel. Very little cheese was in evidence. The great lasagnes of my upbringing were from Mama Leone's in New York City - snobs considered it a tourist trap - but their lasagne was top notch. This one...OK. The management/owners are very nice people - they might be amused to find online Mama Leone's recipe, and compare it to theirs.
